Toyota Highlander (AXUH78R)

Having been around the world for quite some time now, the fully imported, third-generation Toyota Highlander is now available in Japan at Toyota Mobility Tokyo for 8,600,000 Japanese Yen plus additional costs.

The official arrival of the fourth-generation Toyota Highlander in Japan marks the return of a popular crossover that has been absent from the market for over two decades. Toyota ceased selling its predecessor, the Kluger, in 2007. While the Highlander has been available in the Americas, through the Belt and Road Initiative, and in Oceania for some time, its late introduction into the Japanese market means there is a lot of catching up to do.

2026 Toyota Highlander
2026 Toyota Highlander interior

Starting with the exterior design, the Highlander features a robust and muscular style that makes both the Harrier and the Crown Estate appear quite timid. This contrast is notable even though all three vehicles are built on the same GA-K platform, which was used for the now-discontinued Camry, set to return to the Japanese market soon as a US import.

The Highlander can comfortably seat up to seven people and is equipped with a panoramic roof, a head-up display, and a JBL premium sound system. In terms of cargo space, it offers up to 241 liters with the rear seats in place and up to 1,909 liters when the rear seats are folded down. However, it has less cargo capacity than its main competitor, the Mazda CX-80, which is the most spacious seven-seater crossover offered by Toyota.

The Highlander is available exclusively in the Limited ZR Hybrid trim. It features a full-hybrid powertrain that combines a 2.5-liter Atkinson-cycle Hybrid Dynamic Force petrol engine with both front and rear electric motors. The rear motor provides the SUV with AWD-i (All-Wheel Drive intelligent). Additionally, it has a powerful Nickel-Metal Hydride battery located under the second row of seats. With a total system output of 248PS, the Highlander Hybrid can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.3 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 180 km/h.

The Highlander, while somewhat bulky for Japanese driving conditions, offers a surprisingly luxurious and comfortable driving experience, even on rough terrain. This is primarily due to its all-wheel-drive system and the TNGA-K platform, which features Ride Control along with Torque Demand, Pitch Body, and Acceleration Pitch control systems, among others.

In terms of safety, the Highlander comes equipped with the Toyota Safety Sense package, which includes a Pre-Collision System (PCS) with pedestrian detection for both day and night, as well as daytime bicyclist detection. Additional safety features include Full Range Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Road Sign Assist (RSA), Lane Tracing Assist (LTA), Lane Departure Alert (LDA), Automatic High Beam (AHB), and Road Sign Assist (RSA).

The fourth-generation Toyota Highlander, despite its delayed arrival, represents a significant return for Japanese motorists who have been eagerly anticipating a model since the Kluger. This fully-imported SUV is designed to meet the needs and preferences of consumers in the market.

SAKAMOTO DAYS (2026 movie)

You read the manga, and you saw last year's TV anime. Now, see SAKAMOTO DAYS like never before with the arrival of the live-action movie adaptation. Everyone's favorite plus-size ex-hitman comes alive, and he's ready to hunt you down...non-lethally as he swears it.

SAKAMOTO DAYS (2026 movie)
SAKAMOTO DAYS (2026 movie)

Starring Snow Man singer Ren Meguro as the titular Taro Sakamoto, Fumiya Takahashi (Kamen Rider Zero-One) as Shin Asakura, Mayu Yokota as Lu Shaotang, and Junki Tozuka as Heisuke Mashimo, among others, the live-action SAKAMOTO DAYS brings the story of our favorite plus-size ex-hitman to life.

Those who are familiar with the manga and last year's TV anime know the drill, right? It's about Taro Sakamoto, feared and respected as the world's deadliest hitman, who gave up his fearsome status after marrying a woman named Mayu and giving birth to their child, Hana. When the world's deadliest organizations put a bounty on Sakamoto's head, it's up to Sakamoto to protect his family at all costs, with a little help from his friends, such as Shin and Shaotang.

This movie feels like it's covering almost the first season of the anime series. Almost everything we love about SAKAMOTO DAYS is there in this live-action movie offering, not to mention his transformation sequence where Sakamoto went from slim to plus-size and back Perhaps the opposite? Anyway, with the blend of action, thrills, comedy, suspense, and family values, this live-action movie is almost as good as last year's anime. Nearly a good way to catch up before the real deal returns for another round, right?

Whether you enjoyed the manga or the anime series, this live-action SAKAMOTO DAYS movie gives you more dopamine for your addiction to the entire series, like it or not. Another reason why we love this now-iconic series.

AGITO -Chou Nouryoku Sensou-

In celebration of the Kamen Rider series' 55th anniversary and Masked Rider Agito's 25th anniversary, a new theatrical adventure set in the world of Masked Rider Agito has arrived, and in this film, the fate of the world is on a knife-edge.

AGITO -Chou Nouryoku Sensou-

"AGITO - Chou Nouryoku Sensou (The Psychic War)" is a brand-new theatrical action thriller set in the world of Masked Rider Agito. In this film, the renowned task force known as the G UNIT is facing a terrifying war of unknown proportions. The fate of the world depends on the legendary Makoto Hikawa, who understands this dire situation better than anyone else. Formerly known as Masked Rider G3, he now wields a new weapon: the G Buckle Mark 7.

In this 25th-anniversary theatrical release, a rival Rider takes center stage. For those familiar with the 2001 Kamen Rider installment, this film offers an intriguing perspective on the character Makoto Hikawa. It highlights his development as he now wields a new Henshin Belt that transforms him into G7. Apart from that, this action thriller is a gripping rollercoaster ride from start to finish. Fans will be gripped by the G UNIT's race against time as they grapple against powerful new threats by all means.

Although this movie may not serve as a worthy birthday gift for the 2001 Kamen Rider TV show or the entire Kamen Rider series, it is a thrilling experience for those who appreciate nostalgia.

Honda Insight RM7

The Honda Insight name has returned as a made-in-China electric coupe-style SUV, no longer competing with the Prius. This change surprises those reconsidering Honda's latest EV offering.

2027 Honda Insight
2027 Honda Insight

2027 Honda Insight
2027 Honda Insight

The fully imported all-electric Honda Insight is priced starting at 5,500,000 Japanese Yen, plus additional costs, minus the CEV subsidy. This vehicle marks Honda's second import from China, following the return of the Odyssey e:HEV three years ago. However, this is the first time Honda has imported an electric vehicle from China, which is significant considering BYD's recent entry into the Japanese market has caused quite a stir in the local automotive industry.

Starting with its somewhat controversial design, the coupe-like silhouette is reminiscent of the current Citroen e-C4 X. However, the rear lights strongly resemble those of the Chevrolet Trax crossover, making the front view quite challenging to articulate.

2027 Honda Insight
2027 Honda Insight interior

The interior features a 9.4-inch instrument display, a 12.8-inch infotainment touchscreen with Honda Connect 4.0, and an 11.5-inch head-up display. It has a two-tone grey/black design with an orange accent stripe. Standard features include power-adjustable front seats (driver’s with memory), dual-zone climate control, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, and an air fragrance system. Additional amenities are a sunroof, Qi wireless charger, 360-degree camera, and hands-free powered tailgate. Asked about creature comforts, the sedan-riding comfort is as regular as it can be.

2027 Honda Insight
2027 Honda Insight

The Insight is powered by a front-mounted 204PS MCF62 electric motor paired with a 68.8 kWh lithium-ion battery, offering an impressive driving range of 535 km on a full charge. It features four drive modes, with SPORT mode providing the most engaging experience. Other highlights include Active Sound Control, a lightweight design with a low centre of gravity, frequency-responsive dampers, a deceleration selector, and Agile Handling Assist, among various other features.

The safety and driving assistance kit includes seven airbags, including a centre airbag, and a complete Honda Sensing suite.

This coupe-style electric SUV, made in China, is no longer the Insight we remember. It prioritises practicality and comfort, making it suitable for long-distance travel. While it may not be particularly enjoyable to drive, it excels at providing a smooth experience for cruising from one destination to another. Ready or not, the Chinese-made Honda Insight is going to be a headliner on Japanese roads.

Subaru Trailseeker

The Subaru Trailseeker is the all-electric successor to the now-defunct Legacy Outback, which saw the Solterra stretched to provide more boot space, giving it more ways to enjoy it.

2027 Subaru Trailseeker
2027 Subaru Trailseeker

Starting at 5,390,000 Japanese Yen, plus additional costs, the first-ever Subaru Trailseeker is an all-electric sport utility wagon. It delivers the same capabilities as its shorter counterpart, the Solterra, but with a larger boot for storage. It is comparable to its Toyota equivalent, the bZ4X Touring.

2027 Subaru Trailseeker interior

At first glance, the Trailseeker resembles the recently facelifted Solterra released last year. However, it features an extended wheelbase and a unique rear design to set it apart. The Trailseeker is 140 mm longer and 20 mm taller, with overall dimensions of 4,830 mm in length and 1,670 mm in height. These changes increase the load compartment capacity by more than a third, adding an extra 148 liters for a total capacity of 600 liters. Sadly, like the Solterra, no yoke. Boo...

2027 Subaru Trailseeker
2027 Subaru Trailseeker

The Trailseeker features an upgraded electric powertrain with a 74.7 kWh lithium-ion battery (gross capacity). The front-wheel-drive version has a targeted maximum output of 224 PS, while the all-wheel-drive variant boasts an impressive 380 PS, making it the most powerful battery electric vehicle (BEV) offered by Subaru.

In terms of range, the front-wheel-drive model can achieve 734 km, while the all-wheel-drive version with Subaru's X-MODE is rated for 690 km.

Despite its increased cargo space, the Trailseeker drives like a typical crossover for everyday use. It benefits from features such as rack and pinion steering, front struts, rear double wishbone suspension, and ventilated disc brakes. While it may not deliver the exhilarating ride some might expect, it remains pleasant to drive and feels quite conventional.

Regarding safety, the Trailseeker is equipped with a variety of features, including Pre-Crash Safety, a Blind Spot Monitor, and Advanced Parking Assistance, among others.

The first-ever Subaru Trailseeker is the all-electric replacement to the now-defunct Legacy Outback, made for all walks of life, whether for business or leisure. Although more expensive than the MGS6, its high quality is what made it a standout. Yes, it's that familiar feeling since the Toyota bZ4X Touring equivalent a while back.

Toyota Tundra (VXKA75L)

The Toyota Tundra is often seen as Toyota's response to American trucks like the Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado, and RAM 1500. While it may never surpass the F-150 in sales, it has gained popularity among Republican-leaning Americans, particularly in red states, especially Texas, where it was made. Additionally, the Tundra has become a favored choice for competitors participating in the NASCAR Truck Series. Now, the Republican-leaning Toyota has officially arrived in Japan as an exclusive product of Toyota Mobility Tokyo, not as a grey import.

2026 Toyota Tundra
2026 Toyota Tundra

2026 Toyota Tundra
2026 Toyota Tundra interior

The fully-imported third-generation Toyota Tundra is now available in Japan exclusively from Toyota Mobility Tokyo, rather than as a grey import. This development is a gesture of goodwill towards Japan-US trade relations, especially considering the punishing tariffs on foreign imports to the US that were implemented during the Trump administration. In summary, this situation reflects the complexities of international trade.

The Toyota Tundra offered in the Japanese market is the 1794 Edition. Named after the Texas ranch where Toyota's San Antonio plant now sits, it features a unique brushed aluminum grille, 20-inch machine-finished wheels, and 1794 Edition badging. Judging by its size, it is the largest pickup truck Toyota has offered. It makes the upcoming Hilux look like a Tonka toy for tots.

Unlike past Toyota models that are imported from the U.S. (from the Avalon to the Pontiac Vibe-based Voltz), the Tundra is available only in left-hand-drive configurations. This design choice is made because the Tundra is considered too flashy for Japanese roads, where most vehicles are driven on the left side. The driver’s side of the Tundra is equipped with a 14-inch touchscreen that supports smartphone connectivity, a 12.3-inch TFT display, climate control features, USB-C ports, and more. In terms of comfort, it offers the same luxurious amenities found in high-end SUVs. Not bad for a truck priced at 12 million yen. It is offered only in a four-door CrewMax configuration with a 5.5-foot bed.

Powering the Tundra is the new V35A i-FORCE 3.4L Twin-Turbo V6 engine, producing 394PS of power and 649Nm of torque. It is mated exclusively with a 10-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission with intelligence and sequential shift mode.

The Tundra comes with a front double wishbone suspension, a rear coil spring multilink setup, ventilated disc brakes, and a part-time 4WD system. This versatile system allows drivers to switch between various settings, making it suitable for navigating Tokyo traffic or tackling off-road trails in Hokkaido. Additionally, it is equipped with advanced safety features, including the Panoramic View Monitor, Straight Path Assist, and the latest Toyota Safety Sense systems, among others.

The 12,000,000 Yen fully-imported Toyota Tundra is all about bringing its American blend to Japanese off-road enthusiasts with its macho exterior, luxury interior, technology, and the i-FORCE engine that can embarrass the Hilux by a long shot. Ready or not, this Texas treat is ready to roll.

Available Colors: Platinum White Pearl Mica, Grey Metallic, Celestial Silver, Attitude Black Mica, Urban Khaki, and Dark Blue Mica.

Super Formula 2026 - Round 1-2

Super Formula will return for its 2026 season, and this season is going to be exciting with rally driver Kalle Rovanperä joining the grid. With new and returning drivers on the grid, this season is one for the books.

The 2026 Super Formula season roared to life at the iconic Suzuka Circuit, setting the stage for an exhilarating two-part season opener. Racing fans could hardly contain their excitement as the high-speed drama unfolded on this legendary track.

Kakunoshin Ohta made a strong start to the season by winning the first two races. This victory has given him a competitive chance in the title race. In the first round, he triumphed over last year's champion, Ayumu Iwasa, and Ren Sato. In the next round, Ohta secured victories against Sena Sakaguchi and Nirei Fukuzumi.

The next race is at Autopolis for Round 3 this April 26, 2026.

Honda CR-V e:HEV RS5/RS6

In 2024, Japan was introduced to the sixth-generation Honda CR-V, starting with the lease-only e:FCEV model. For those who want to own the latest CR-V, the only available option is the fully imported e:HEV model. This version marks the transition of the CR-V into a hybrid-only SUV that competes with today's Toyota RAV4.

2026 Honda CR-V
2026 Honda CR-V

The Honda CR-V e:HEV (RS) is priced at 5,122,700 Japanese Yen, plus additional costs. This model is fully imported from Thailand, making it the first of its generation to do so, which contributes to its high price compared to competitors. While some may find the pricing disappointing, it's still a welcome opportunity for Japanese motorists to finally experience the latest CR-V, which has garnered a global following.

2026 Honda CR-V
2026 Honda CR-V interior

When it comes to styling, the RS-spec CR-V is the largest version ever produced. While it may be challenging to navigate some narrow rural streets in Japan, it excels on urban roads and in outdoor environments, staying true to its Comfortable Runabout Vehicle mantra. Hence the name, huh?

The interior of the RS CR-V features the familiar design first introduced in the current-generation Civic several years ago. However, unlike the previous model, it is now available exclusively as a five-seater.

Regarding space, the CR-V offers up to 587 liters of boot capacity with the rear seats in place, which can expand to 1,642 liters when the rear seats are folded down.

2026 Honda CR-V
2026 Honda CR-V

The Honda CR-V (RS) is equipped with an e:HEV powertrain that includes a 2.0-liter four-cylinder Atkinson cycle engine, paired with an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery. This setup delivers 184 PS of power and 335 Nm of torque. The engine is connected to an e-CVT, allowing for a fuel economy of approximately 19.8 km/L for front-wheel drive models according to WLTC mode standards. While this fuel efficiency is lower than that of the Toyota RAV4, it surpasses that of the Subaru Forester.

While the CR-V RS operates well as a front-wheel-drive model, its available All-Wheel Drive system offers drivers reliable all-weather performance. Not bad, but it deserves more.

Although the Honda Sensing suite is standard, the RS model features a blind spot information system with rear cross traffic alert instead of the previous model's LaneWatch side camera. It even comes with steering-responsive adaptive driving beam headlights.

Three decades of the Honda CR-V have culminated in the latest version of Honda's first true crossover SUV. Although it remains a practical option for everyday drivers, the RS CR-V promises to meet the needs of its potential owners with its e:HEV efficiency, spacious interior, and the classic Honda reliability that has been proven by real users. This is all amid a high price tag and the decision to offer seating for only five passengers.

Although fully imported from Thailand, the CR-V RS still harbors the Japanese quality you would expect from a Honda.

Available Colors: Platinum White Pearl, Slate Grey Pearl, Crystal Black Pearl, Blazing Red Pearl, and Canyon River Blue Metallic.

Himitsu no AiPri: Mankai Buzzlume Live!

First aired on TV Tokyo in April 2024, Himitsu no AiPri follows the lives of two girls, Himari Aozora and Mitsuki Hoshikawa, as they strive to become the best in the AiPriVerse amidst fierce competition from their rivals. As the show approaches its 100th episode and nears its finale this month, one exciting way to commemorate the climax of the Poppin' Dreamin' adventure is with a movie! Yes, the AiPri movie is indeed happening.

Himitsu no AiPri: Mankai Buzzlume Live!
Himitsu no AiPri: Mankai Buzzlume Live!

"Himitsu no AiPri: Mankai Buzzlume Live!" sees the movie debut of your favorite AiPri teams, ranging from Poppin' Dreamin' (Himari Aozora and Mitsuki Hoshikawa), Love Juriel (Juria Igarashi and Elle Rokudo), Jumping Rocket (Subaru and Otome Nanaura), VIVI & CHII (Vivi Hachioji and Chii Mamiya), Luminous Flora (Tsumugi Suzukaze and Ring Clover), and Quartet STAR (Sakura Ichijoji, Tamaki Nikaido, Airi Mitsuba, and Rinrin Shinomiya).

In this movie, Ring and Tsumugi have organized a race at the AiPriVerse, where the winner will receive the ultimate prize. It's a new challenge for the Poppin' Dreamin' tandem as they're going all out to win the race amid the heated competition. However, the Dark AiPri idols are out for revenge.

As expected, this movie features an all-original storyline that distinguishes it from the TV show, which is approaching its conclusion later this month. Your favorite AiPri idols make their theatrical debut, and it's an experience like no other, especially with the new songs created specifically for this film. True to AiPri's style, you'll hear your idols speaking during their performances. In short, this movie captures the spirit of AiPri from start to finish. You'll find yourself standing up and cheering for your favorite idols—but not for the Dark AiPri ones.

When the story of Himitsu no AiPri began two years ago, fans were already engaged with the latest installment of the Pretty Series. They celebrated by singing songs, dancing, and even debating which idol had the smelliest armpits. This movie serves as a way to thank the fans who have supported the show from its inception to the present day.

As Himari and Mitsuki's AiPri journey comes to an end, this movie reminds us of the progress they have made. It's time to return to the AiPriVerse with them one last time.

Suzuki e-Every

The Suzuki e-Every is being marketed as the company's first-ever electric vehicle (EV) kei car available to the public. However, it's important to note that this isn't truly their first of its kind, as it has similarities to the e-Hijet Cargo from its longtime rival, Daihatsu.

2027 Suzuki e-Every
2027 Suzuki e-Every

The Suzuki e-Every is a business-friendly vehicle that starts at 3,146,000 yen and is available in either a 2-seater or 4-seater configuration. It is equipped with Daihatsu's e-SMART ELECTRIC system, which features a power supply unit and lithium-ion battery located in the center of the vehicle, while the e-axle powers the rear wheels. This system delivers 47 kW of power, 126 Nm of torque, and offers a driving range of up to 257 km. Charging time is approximately 6 to 12 hours at home or about 50 minutes at public fast-charging stations.

In terms of drivability, the Suzuki e-Every provides a comfortable riding experience, even when carrying heavy loads. It is notably quiet and stable, offering a flat driving feel that enhances overall comfort and reduces fatigue. Additionally, it comes with Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) capability, which can be beneficial during power outages.

The e-Every also features Smart Assist, which includes 14 advanced active safety features to ensure road safety.

While it may seem unusual for Suzuki to reach out to its long-time competitor, Daihatsu, for the e-Hijet Cargo to be used in the e-Every, this collaboration offers a solution for those who prefer the e-Hijet Cargo but can only access a Suzuki dealership. Could this mark a truce between the two?

Poco A Pokemon

Construct your ideal Pokémon habitat as Ditto in this latest town-building game set in the Pokémon universe... or what remains of it, because you'll find out here.

Poco a Pokemon
Poco a Pokemon

Poco a Pokemon (Pokemon Pokopia) gives players a chance to kick back and unwind as a Ditto, where they can meet and greet various Pokemons and build their ideal habitat to their heart's content.

In the ruins of the world of Pokemon where everything has perished, even humans, there came a Ditto and Professor Tangrowth stepping out of the ruins and into the wilderness in their hopes to rebuild habitats for all Pokémon to live.

As you build your ideal Pokémon habitat, you will come across a cast of super-helpful Pokémon that will grant you new abilities to make your building life easy. For instance, Bulbasaur will grant you the power to plant gardens, watering abilities from Squirtle, the Cut move from Scyther, the Rock Smash ability from Hitmonchan, and the list goes on. Some abilities are useful if you're in the mood for collecting resources needed for crafting materials for building.

As you keep on building, more and more Pokémon will reside, while some require you to fulfill certain conditions. Imagine the fun you'll have with your favorite Pokémon inhabitants.

Throughout your building journey, you will stumble across a unique cast of Pokémon, some of whom are witnesses to this forgotten land, including a sad-looking Pikachu. These folks have their own stories to tell.

Being a town-building game, you can use an internet connection (Switch Online subscription required) to visit other players' towns. You can even invite up to three other players to showcase your creations. You can even make a Cloud Island to share with the world as well. Don't forget to bring your favorite Pokémon resident while visiting other players' cloud islands. Your friends can't wait to meet yours.

Now that you understand the basics, are you ready to build your own Pokémon habitat as a Ditto? This game is a great way to relax and unwind from sunrise to sunset. Build, build, build! Build even better! The life of a Ditto has never felt so... well, Ditto. Enjoy!

Toyota bZ4X Touring

The first-ever Toyota bZ4X Touring is here, offering the same capabilities as the regular bZ4X but with the bigger boot space for more adventures.

Starting at 5,750,000 Japanese Yen plus additional costs, the first-ever Toyota bZ4X Touring may be more costly to own than its main rival, the MGS5-based MGS6, but in terms of quality, it stands out.

At first glance, the Touring variant resembles the recently facelifted bZ4X released last year. However, it features an extended wheelbase and a unique rear design to set it apart. The Touring variant is 140 mm longer and 20 mm taller, with overall dimensions of 4,830 mm in length and 1,670 mm in height. These changes increase the load compartment capacity by more than a third, adding an extra 148 liters for a total capacity of 600 liters. Sadly, like the normal bZ4X, no yoke. Boo...

The bZ4X Touring, like the standard model, features an upgraded electric powertrain with a 74.7 kWh lithium-ion battery (gross capacity). The front-wheel-drive version has a targeted maximum output of 224 PS, while the all-wheel-drive bZ4X Touring boasts an impressive 380 PS, making it the most powerful battery electric vehicle (BEV) offered by Toyota.

Asked about range, the front-wheel-drive model is good for 734km while the 4WD model with Subaru's X-MODE is good for 690km.

Despite its added boot space, the bZ4X Touring performs like a typical crossover for daily driving. It benefits from features like Rack and Pinion steering, front struts, rear double wishbones, and ventilated disc brakes. While it may not provide the exciting ride one might hope for, it remains pleasant to drive and feels quite conventional.

In terms of safety, the bZ4X Touring is equipped with a variety of safety features, including Pre-Crash Safety, a Blind Spot Monitor, and Advanced Parking Assistance, among others.

The bZ4X Touring is the newest member of the bZ4X series that offers the same capability as its shorter equivalent but with a bigger boot to store. This is the most capable bZ4X ever made for all walks of life, whether for business or leisure. Although more expensive than the MGS6, its high quality of Toyota-ism is what made this bZ4X Touring a standout.

Available Colors: Crystal White Pearl, Magnetite Grey Metallic, Crystal Black Silica, Crystal Black Silica x Brilliant Bronze Metallic, and Crystal Black Silica x Crystal White Pearl.

Daihatsu e-Hijet Cargo and e-Atrai

Daihatsu may be late to the EV market, but their first-ever e-Hijet Cargo and e-Atrai are proof that Daihatsu is embracing the trend of electrification.

The business-friendly e-Hijet Cargo starts at 3,146,000 Yen, while the casual-oriented e-Atrai begins at 3,465,000 Yen, plus additional costs. Although both models are similar to the standard Atrai and Hijet kei vans that were introduced five years ago, they stand out due to their electric powertrains.

The e-Hijet Cargo and e-Atrai are equipped with Daihatsu's first-ever e-SMART ELECTRIC system. In this setup, the power supply unit and lithium-ion battery are positioned in the middle of the vehicle, while the e-axle powers the rear wheels. This system generates 47 kW of power, 126 Nm of torque, and provides a driving range of up to 257 km. Charging time is approximately 6 to 12 hours at home, or about 50 minutes at public fast-charging stations.

In terms of drivability, both the e-Atrai and e-Hijet Cargo offer a comfortable riding experience, even when carrying heavy luggage. They are notably quiet, stable, and provide a flat driving feel, enhancing overall comfort and reducing fatigue. Additionally, they come equipped with Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) capability, which can be useful during power outages.

Like their internal combustion engine (ICE) counterparts, the e-Hijet Cargo and e-Atrai feature Smart Assist, which includes 14 advanced active safety features to ensure safety on the road.

With the first-ever e-Hijet Cargo and e-Atrai, Daihatsu has joined the list of carmakers embracing the electrification route, although some say it's a little too late for this. Still, it's better late than never for Daihatsu to showcase to the Japanese public how these kei EV vans can be used for business and leisure. The more you know.

BIOHAZARD requiem

In celebration of the BIOHAZARD (RESIDENT EVIL) series' 30th anniversary, the newest installment has arrived. All roads lead to where the nightmare began. This is BIOHAZARD requiem.

BIOHAZARD requiem
BIOHAZARD requiem (PS5)

BIOHAZARD (RESIDENT EVIL) requiem, unofficially known as BIOHAZARD (RESIDENT EVIL) 9: requiem, is the ninth chapter of the megahit survival horror franchise. In this newest installment, FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft's investigation into the recent bizarre murder case ended with her being abducted and becoming an experiment for Victor Gideon's evil plans. As Grace struggles to survive through Gideon's hellhole, veteran US government agent Leon S. Kennedy is dispatched to rescue her. As their fates collide, all roads will lead to the scene of the disaster three decades ago: Raccoon City.

BIOHAZARD: Requiem is a game in the BIOHAZARD series that offers players a choice between first-person and third-person views. The segments featuring Grace Ashcroft primarily emphasize classic survival horror mechanics, focusing mainly on puzzle-solving. In contrast, Leon Kennedy's segments are action-oriented, providing players with an exciting survival horror experience. These gameplay mechanics are broadly similar to those found in Biohazard Revelations 2, released a few years ago.

A Requiem game wouldn’t be a true BIOHAZARD (RESIDENT EVIL) experience without swarms of monsters impeding your progress. From the return of zombies to terrifying creatures eager to attack, players must stay vigilant. And let’s not forget the intense boss battles that add to the challenge.

From enduring Gideon's hellhole to returning to Raccoon City in search of the truth, "Requiem" serves as a fitting tribute to the BIOHAZARD (RESIDENT EVIL) franchise. Fans have experienced fear since the first game launched in 1996, and with the latest installment, three decades of Capcom's iconic survival horror franchise have culminated in this moment.

This is the most frightening way to celebrate three decades of the BIOHAZARD (RESIDENT EVIL) series. Ready to head back to the roots of all evil?
