Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo are back, reprising their iconic roles as Glinda and Elphaba in the much-anticipated conclusion to last year's smash hit musical, Wicked. In this final chapter, titled Wicked For Good, the fates and destinies of the two characters are ultimately decided. As Glinda becomes the symbol of peace in the land of Oz, Elphaba, known as The Wicked Witch of the West, unleashes chaos. As the two face off, their destinies will be determined... for good. This movie also stars Jeff Goldblum as The Wizard, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, Jonathan Bailey as Prince Fiyero, Ethan Slater as Boq, and Marissa Bode as Nessarose, among others.

When the first Wicked movie came out last year, moviegoers didn't expect a second part to be coming soon, and here we are, with the long-awaited conclusion to last year's blockbuster, which picks up moments after the end of the first movie. There's nothing to explain about. Still, with a new setlist of songs in this gravity-defying final chapter, moviegoers will laugh, cry, and sing their hearts out as they witness the decisive moments between Glinda and Elphaba.

While it may not be the best movie of 2025—since the first Demon Slayer film holds that title—it is certainly a worthy contender for an Oscar and fits well into the category of an "artisan pick." From beginning to end, being part of the Wicked experience is truly a significant honor.

Starring Ahn Hyo Seop (K-POP Demon Hunters), Lee Min Ho (The King: Eternal Monarch), Chae Soo Bin, Shin Seung-ho, Nana (GLITCH), and Kwon Eun Seong. The live-action movie adaptation of the megahit webtoon features Ahn Hyo Seop as Kim Dok Ja. One fateful day, the novel he frequently read, titled How to Survive the Apocalypse, became a reality. To avert the apocalypse as happened in the novel, Dok Ja teams up with the novel's protagonist, Yoo Joong Hyuk, played by Lee Min Ho, and races against time to alter the ending by all means.

For fans of the hit webtoon, it's disappointing not to see Dok Ja wearing his iconic white coat in the movie, which is one of the drawbacks of this live-action adaptation. However, Lee Min Ho's portrayal of Yoo Joong Hyuk truly stands out. Staying true to the webtoon’s roots, this movie delivers an all-out action thriller as the countdown to disaster begins. It is a gripping rollercoaster ride all the way to the end of the movie, although it feels annoying that a movie adaptation of a popular webtoon ended up getting a pat on the head by most anime websites for no reason. 

Whatever the reason, this movie is a must-watch Korean film for the summer. If you're a fan of the webtoon it’s based on or the main characters, you’ll likely be drawn to Hyo Seop, who transitions from playing the villainous leader of the Saja Boys, Jinu, to the role of Kim Dok Ja. The story is about Snow White, the princess who runs away from her home kingdom to avoid the wrath of The Evil Queen who plots to erase her existence. With the help of a bandit named Jon and the iconic Seven Dwarves named Bashful, Doc, Dopey, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy, and Sneezy, Snow White turns out that she's the last hope to save the kingdom from the crutches of The Evil Queen.

The iconic Snow White look is the peak of fair, even The Magic Mirror can't deny such beauty. This movie is faithful to the animated movie it was based on and, although the musical sequences do add life and color to the film, the Seven Dwarves' appearances can be awkward.

One of the must-watch movies of the season, the live-action retelling of Snow White is as good as any retold Disney Princess story since Cinderella.

This movie is a surefire blockbuster for 2024. It's a worthy Oscar contender and an "artisan pick" for sure. With its marvelous blend of magic, music, and adventure, it's no wonder that this movie is a huge hit.

Although they failed to find Ruby's real mother, the unmasking of Susan Triad led them to the resurrection of Sutekh, the god of death.

With Sutekh reborn, armageddon was unleashed in Empire of Death, the Season 1 finale of Doctor Who: The 15th Doctor saga.
