The Doctor and Belinda continue their journey in the third episode of Doctor Who Season 2, where they face hell... in The Well. Yes, there's hell in the well.

HOLD IT! Before my quick review, ensure you have already watched the episode. Then, come back here when you have.
The Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) and Belinda Chandra (Varada Sethu) arrived at Colony Base 15 for their Vindicator-related setting until they've grouped with a platoon of soldiers investigating the mining colony in search of an unknown threat lurking around.
As the search continues, they encounter the colony's only survivor, Aliss Fenly (played by Rose Ayling-Ellis). As Aliss tells about her terrifying experience, The Doctor and the soldiers encountered something even more ominous: the well.
As Belinda and the others are feeling...something, The Doctor and the others revealed a terrifying secret about Colony Base 15. It is revealed that Colony Base 15 is based on a planet that used to be called Midnight, a planet The Doctor's been to several years ago.
Recalling The Doctor's past experience in Midnight, soldiers have been thrown into discord until an unknown force flung the soldiers to oblivion.
To save Aliss, The Doctor investigates the unknown force lurking behind her, and that force is...the only way out of the colony. The group made a daring escape until the force knocked them down, sensing that "it" is here, lurking behind Belinda with whispers.
Shaya's final gambit is to shoot Belinda down for that thing to go into her and submit herself to the well to end the nightmare.
After Shaya's sacrifice, Belinda is safe, and she and The Doctor are back in the TARDIS, wondering why soldiers like them have never heard of planet Earth, ending the episode with a suspicious face stopping by.
This recent episode introduced a groundbreaking Whoniverse character, Aliss Fenly, who has a disability. Featuring a PWD character signifies the Whoniverse's commitment to inclusivity, embracing diversity in its storytelling.
I was pleased to see a character with a disability (PWD) in this episode. However, it was shocking to discover that the colony in question is located on a planet that The Doctor visited several years ago—Midnight. For those who are not familiar with Midnight, I recommend revisiting the episodes from The David Tennant Years to better understand The Doctor's recent adventure on that planet.
With the hell in the well behind us, what's next for The Doctor and Belinda as this season reaches the halfway point?
NEXT TIME: Ruby Sunday is back...or is she?
