Disney's Moana 2
Disney's Moana 2

Auli'i Cravalho and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson are back to reprise the roles of Moana and Maui in their newest expedition in this long-awaited sequel just in time for the Thanksgiving weekend. In this sequel, Moana continues her adventure through Oceania following a message from her ancestors. The seas are getting rougher in her newest escapades, testing her bravery as an explorer of the seas.

This sequel pushes beyond the limits of what Moana and Maui can do as the adventure progresses. The test of friendship, bravery, and self-discovery made this sequel a must-watch of the Autumn movie season, not to mention the new moments to remember and the songs to get our heads stuck. Trust them, if the first one got one of the memorable songs stuck in their heads, then this sequel promises more.

Nothing beats a cruise back to Oceania as viewers welcome back Moana and Maui and enjoy the waves, the stories, and all the sights - from the hidden wonders and dangers throughout the seas. The classic Moana moments and musical numbers are all in this sequel and there is never a dull moment to return and enjoy until the very end.

Welcome back, explorers of Moana!

Disney's Wish

When there's Thanksgiving weekend, there's an animated Disney movie showing in theaters, and for 2023, it's a wish granted as Walt Disney Animation Studios proudly presents its centennial offering, Wish.

Disney's Wish
Disney's Wish

Forged from the success of their animated Disney movies such as Frozen, Coco, and Encanto, Wish takes viewers to the magical kingdom of Rosas, a place where all your wishes come true.

Starring Ariana DeBose as Asha and Chris Pine as King Magnifico, Wish is about Asha, a young girl who got her biggest wish from a cosmic force in the form of a boundless energy called Star. Traveling to the kingdom of Rosas, Asha and Star must confront the ruler of Rosas, King Magnifico, and save the world, proving that a brave individual like her has the magic to connect the wishes.

This fantasy movie, packed with memorable moments and songs that will soon be sticking to the viewers' heads after watching this movie, is the culmination of Disney's centennial anniversary. A master-class masterpiece, 100 years in the making, is proof that the wonderful world of Disney never fails to curate new and exciting adventures for everybody to see, and for a movie like Wish, it truly is the soul that emanates the feeling of centennial longing.

Disney's The Little Mermaid (2023 film)

With Disney Princess movies like Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, and Mulan gaining their live-action equivalents, now it's the turn of The Little Mermaid to have its share.

Disney's The Little Mermaid (2023 film)
Disney's The Little Mermaid
(2023 film)

With Halle Bailey starring as the titular mermaid named Ariel, the live-action rebirth of Disney's The Little Mermaid brings her story to life for the new generation of movie-goers as they're going under the sea to uncover her origins.

As the youngest of King Triton's daughters, Ariel wants to experience life beyond the sea, and ever since her fateful encounter with a human named Eric, she made a deal with an evil sea witch named Ursula, granting her wish to live outside the sea, but all that wish came with a terrifying price.

Ever since Disney announced that Halle Bailey will be casting the role of Ariel in the live-action adaptation of a Disney classic, purists are unhappy about it, but when this movie came to life, some changed their minds and decided to watch it anyway to the fullest.

Anyway, like past Disney Princess movies came to life, it stays faithful to the original, although some are having questions about Flounder and Sebastian's appearances in the movie. With stunning visuals, a heart-pounding soundtrack, emotional storytelling, and memorable musical scenes, the live-action version of The Little Mermaid really is a must-watch for the whole family before the beginning of the summer season. Guess summer came early with the arrival of this latest rebirth of a Disney classic.

Although controversial by some, it's one of the best family movies of the year.

Disney-Pixar's Lightyear

From the world of Toy Story, Buzz Lightyear is by no means the coolest toy hero you want to befriend with. If you think you know Buzz Lightyear, then think again. The newest Disney-Pixar movie is all about Buzz Lightyear's first mission. The origin story of everyone's favorite toy hero from the Toy Story movies.

Disney-Pixar's Lightyear

Disney-Pixar's Lightyear brings Captain America actor Chris Evans to the role of the young Buzz Lightyear as this movie showcases the Space Ranger's first mission which brought him through perilous trials and tribulations. With the help of his unlikely allies (played by Keke Palmer, Dale Soules, and Taika Waititi), and his robot cat Sox (played by Peter Sohn), this is exactly what Buzz Lightyear's first mission feels like.

While some purists complain about why putting the Captain America actor in the role of Buzz Lightyear, this origin story of the hero that inspired the toy from the Toy Story movies showcased the world who Buzz Lightyear really is. From start to finish, Buzz Lightyear's first mission really is a spectacle that families will enjoy. Dramatic moments, thrilling moments, funny moments, this movie has it all in a Disney-Pixar way and this is by no means one of the must-watch films of the summer season.

Getting to know the real Buzz Lightyear is going to be part of your summer to-do list, kids because this movie is an out-of-this-world experience. You'll be spaced out from start to finish, getting a glimpse of what Buzz Lightyear's first mission looks like.

To Infinity and Beyond!

Disney's Frozen II

Six years ago, Disney brought the world a Thanksgiving treat for the whole family called Frozen. It's about Anna trying to overcome the odds to bring back her sister Elsa, whose icy powers enveloped her into isolation. Now, with Thanksgiving drawing near, the story of the two sisters continue in a long-awaited sequel that promises to be more magical and more enjoyable than the first one.

Disney's Frozen II
The sequel to the hit 2013 animated fantasy film made from the wonderful world of Disney continues the story of the two sisters Anna and Elsa as they are faced with a grave new threat that threatens the kingdom of Arendelle and they must explore further to save their beloved kingdom while uncovering Elsa's secret that will be the biggest plot of the film.

Like the original film, Frozen II is a spectacle of music, fantasy, and overall vibrance that delivers all the right emotions moviegoers need. With all the joy, sadness, and anger the film delivers, as well as some more Olaf mischief to cheer the moviegoers up, Frozen II is on the verge of being one of the best animated movies of the year and it really is the best Thanksgiving treat the whole family enjoyed.

Although it's obvious to call it "cute" by movie standards, the sequel earned a lot of love and respect just as the original did six years ago and that really is the bottom line.

My rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Disney's The Lion King (2019 film)

Another Disney classic has been given a live-action rebirth and this time, they're not "lion", get it? Because The Lion King promises to be one of the most captivating films to watch in the midst of the summer movie season with its larger than life experience that delivers the roar from the peak of the Pride Lands to the edge of your seats.

Disney's The Lion King (2019 film)

With a powerhouse cast lending their voices to this larger-than-life live-action rebirth of the 1994 animated film of the same name, directed and produced by Jon Fraveau, The Lion King delivers the majestic feel of the legendary Disney classic to a whole new approach while preserving the original storyline that is as iconic as any other Disney legends that were given live-action treatments since Alice in Wonderland, Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, even The Jungle Book.

While the musical parts of the film such as "Just Can't Wait to be King", "Can you feel the love tonight", and more famously "Hakuna Matata" can't match the ones from the original animated film, which is a bit of a flaw, as well as the question of how Disney accepted the challenge to create the live-action take of a Disney legend featuring nothing but animals just like how they've learned from The Jungle Book, the people behind it overcame such challenges to deliver an enriching experience the whole family will enjoy. Watching this film from start to finish made the viewers realize why Disney is still the king of reviving the stuff of legends into new and exciting ways to love their IPs even more but like lions sleeping tonight (yep, there goes the memorable intro of that song), it's hard to comment but gasp to the marvels of triumph Disney made to bring Simba's legend to life.

From three animated films, two TV spin-offs, and a Broadway musical to name a few, The Lion King is a legend in the wonderful world of Disney and this live-action remake will leave a pawprint to its legacy like a true king.

My rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Toy Story 4

Our favorite toys are back for their biggest and most hilarious adventure in the history of Toy Story as Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and friends set off to an epic, life-changing, road trip, just to show how big the world can be for a toy.

Toy Story 4

With Tom Hanks and Tim Allen reprising their roles as Woody and Buzz Lightyear, with some new and returning faves in store in this film, Toy Story 4, the fourth film of the first Disney-Pixar masterpiece in history, sees the toys set off to an epic road trip where toys like them can be so much more than being toys themselves. This is the biggest Toy Story adventure yet and there's so much to talk about just how hilarious, how daring, and how emotional the newest installment can be and just as we thought fans got emotional at the end of the third film, the fourth film will be even more because of moments that can be related to you and your family.

When moviegoers went to watch this film, one of the drastic changes moviegoers noticed is Bo Beep's new look and her new look truly shows the definition of a strong female character. That's a plus but there's more to it than that because with so many new toy characters popping up alongside returning favorites, including the one Bonnie made and christened him Forky, the world of Toy Story couldn't get even bigger but sometimes more can't be merrier.

While this is getting much of a lost cause for a Summer family movie like this, it's still a must watch and with Summer officially started, there's never been a perfect time to spend with your family watching the newest Toy Story flick. It may be funny, emotional, corny, and daring, but this film is all about life change and just like the toys themselves, there's a big world out there waiting to be discovered, no matter how good or bad things will be.

My rating: 3.9 out of 5.

Disney's Aladdin (2019 film)

After the success of 2015's Cinderella and 2017's Beauty and the Beast, among many other Disney classics reborn as live action films, another Disney legend has been reborn and this time, it's off to the Arabian nights in the tale of Aladdin, a petty thief whose life changed forever upon his encounter with the Genie.

Disney's Aladdin (2019 film)

Starring Mena Massoud as the titular character, Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine, and Will Smith as the Genie, among many others, the live action rebirth of a Disney classic is all about the petty thief named Aladdin whose life changed forever upon his encounter with the Genie, a mystical being emerged from the magic lamp who has the power to make their wishes come true. Aladdin wants to harness the Genie's powers in order to impress Princess Jasmine but the villainous Grand Vizier named Jafar wants to seize control of it in order to achieve his evil plot. Those wishes do really come with a painful price to pay.

Like most live-action rebirths of every known Disney classic since Cinderella, this film delivers a fresh new twist on a timeless tale everyone's familiar with although some say it's a bit confusing because of the Genie character who feels a bit different compared to the original cartoon one who has full of humor and full of jokes. And, like most Disney Princesses, it's the Princess Jasmine character that stands out the rest of the characters of the film because of one inescapable fact. The actress who played Princess Jasmine really relates to her role because it's about her finding strength over silence, that's why she performed the song Speechless, the image song of this film as they said.

Although it wasn't as they've wished for, this film really pulls the right strings to deliver the dramatic vibrance filmgoers wanted to see and in true Disney tradition, it's all about the magic that captivates people of all ages. It never really fails to impress and this film really then is a genuine contender to the best family film of the Spring season.

My rating: 4 out of 5

Disney's Dumbo (2019 film)

One of the most iconic Disney legends has brought back to life by the hands of visionary director Tim Burton and the 2019 live-action rebirth of Dumbo, the world's first flying elephant, promises to soar through new heights as one of the must watch films in the Spring season.

Disney's Dumbo (2019 film)

Starring Colin Farrell, Michael Keaton, Danny DeVito, and Eva Green, among many others, the new Dumbo movie feels very different to the old Disney cartoon film it was based on and whereas the original featured some talking mouse and some crows, this film doesn't because it has one flying elephant, human cast of characters and that's it.

Dumbo was teased and taunted by many because of its very large ears but when they learned that Dumbo can fly with its massive ears, the already struggling circus comes back to life but with all of the fame Dumbo gets comes with a massive price; its freedom.

Like I mentioned, the live-action Dumbo film shares half in common with the original cartoon and because it had no mice and crows in the cast, some people would truly believe that Tim Burton must have ruined the story of Dumbo and labeled as witchcraft and sacrilege as is but despite being a treason to the original, it's still has some Disney spark to captivate the whole family from start to finish and this is where the magic of Dumbo truly shines.

High or low, the new Dumbo movie may not be the Dumbo every Disney enthusiasts expect but it's truly one of the must-watch movies to enjoy in the Spring season. The more you know.

My rating: 3.9 out of 5.

Disney's Ralph Breaks the Internet

Wreck-it-Ralph and Vanellope are back for the Thanksgiving weekend and this time, the wrecking duo are breaking through the biggest world of all; the internet. How hard can it be for the duo to crash through the information superhighway?

Disney's Ralph Breaks the Internet

Ralph Breaks the Internet, the sequel to the 2012 Disney animated film Wreck-it-Ralph, sees our favorite duo of Ralph, the villain of Fix-it-Felix, and Vanellope, the heroine of the Sugar Rush racing game, break through the internet to find a replacement part to save Sugar Rush.

These guys sure know that they're going to break more than firewalls to save the game but there's so much stuff to talk about the long-awaited sequel to the film that caters even the most discerning video game enthusiasts. Video game references aside, Ralph Breaks the Internet features so many internet references we all know about. Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, those emojis, this film had them all. There's even special cameos from Star Wars, Marvel superheroes, and Disney Princesses as well, making this film the ideal party crasher just as Vanellope crashes the Disney Princesses like a boss. Get it?

Compared to the Wreck-it-Ralph film six years ago, this sequel film still feels like the original but with so much internet references capable of wrecking our heads, this film surely wrecked our minds with joy, sadness, disgust, anger, and fear. Oh wait, that was from another film, but still, it was impressive to see all of the things viewers said about this film, creating a melting pot of what a Disney flick fit for the Thanksgiving weekend should be and above all, we really like it.

My rating: 3.9 out of 5.

Disney's Christopher Robin

What will you do when the past comes back to make you remember? This newest Disney flick, based on the adventures of Winnie the Pooh, sees our favorite friends from the Hundred Acre Wood entering the real world in search of their beloved friend, who is now grown up, and make him remember.

Disney's Christopher Robin

Starring Ewan McGregor as the titular character, this film sees Christopher Robin, the best friend of Winnie the Pooh and friends, as a grown man in the streets of London with a job and family at hand. With Winnie the Pooh and the friends came out from the Hundred Acre Wood in search for Christopher Robin and with the sudden encounter, Pooh and friends will do everything to make him remember.

This film is like a sad man's Paddington, per se, because while fans will have a very tearful response on the film where Pooh and pals reuniting with Christopher Robin and making him remember the good old days and with all the sadness poured into this family movie, there's still joy into this sombre film because when there are tears of joy the viewers felt, there is laughter and seeing Pooh and friends getting into all sorts of mischief on the streets of London is one heck of an adventure too big to ignore. It's as soothing as a cup of tea filled with honey and it's the sweetest Disney movie families can enjoy. You can cry and laugh here but rest assured that this film makes us believe in friendship just as Winnie the Pooh told us.

My rating: 4 out of 5.

Disney-Pixar's The Incredibles 2

14 years ago, the world of Disney and Pixar introduced us to THE INCREDIBLES, the story of a family of superheroes band together to stop a fan-turned-supervillain from wrecking havoc in the metropolis. Years changed and this film became one of the all-time Disney greats and at long last, the sequel has arrived to see how much THE INCREDIBLES have changed since the beginning.

The Incredibles 2
After 14 years since the original film, the long-awaited sequel brings back The Incredibles in their newest adventure that goes beyond their superpowers. Following the events from the first film, things have changed for the family as Elastagirl gets a new job from an agency who wants to bring back superheroes back to existence. With Mrs. Incredible now back as a full-time superhero, the family are now adjusting to their new lease in life and while she's on her full-time job saving the day, the family are figuring out baby Jack-Jack's newest powers. Things changed but their ways of being Incredible are far from over.

Considered to be the perfect Father's Day treat, The Incredibles 2 really is a dream come true for all the Disney aficionados waiting for 14 years to see them back together for another stint and it's starting to take form that this film's becoming more connected as a family-oriented film rather than the first film, although there are some loopholes that hadn't been fixed from the start.

Call it above average if you may but no matter the result, it's been worth the wait for those itching to see The Incredibles back for more and in the spirit of Disney and Pixar collaboration, it's picking up to become a superhero flick that promises to be more family-oriented than the original.

My rating: 3.9 out of 5

A Wrinkle In Time

A Wrinkle In Time

Disney's visually spectacular masterpiece, A Wrinkle In Time, is more than just one of the most anticipated family films before the Spring season arrives like a lion but how this film unfolds is very special in each and every way it's hard to describe what's it all about.

Featuring a powerhouse of cast including veteran TV presenter Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, comedienne Mindy Kaling, and introducing Storm Reid, among many others, A Wrinkle In Time is very special in each and every way because this is unlike any other fantasy film you've ever known so far.

In this film, Meg Murry (played by Reid) and her little brother, Charles Wallace, are coping with the disappearance of her father ever since he discovered a new planet and used a concept known as tesseract five years ago. Unknown to her, her father is alive and he is hidden somewhere behind the darkness of the universe, and her search for her missing father begins with a little help of her classmate Calvin and three mysterious travelers known themselves as Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Who, and Mrs. Which. Throughout her journey to save her father, they must overcome the trials and become the warrior of light who can banish the darkness of the universe.

This film can be downright scary by the looks of the special effects because this is like a blend of Inception and some disaster films you seen at the cinemas but despite its overuse of CGI stuff, the biggest piece of history in A Wrinkle In Time is the diversive cast as well as the strong female personalities in the making of this film, as well as the film's director herself. This film really is something what women can do in the world of film making and because March is women's month, A Wrinkle In Time really is a party piece for the feminists to show the world what they're capable of.

Although not a great film for the fun of it, A Wrinkle In Time really sends a powerful message to the millions of youth who want to be inspired by her to embrace their individuality and strength to become a hero in times of crises. That is the real value of giving a child the universe to save and by believing in themselves and supporting each other, they can achieve everything.

My rating: 4.3 out of 5.

My ten favorite PAF moments

Disney's worldwide animated hit series, Phineas and Ferb, is ten years old now. Yes, we know that show ended years ago but just because the show was ended years ago doesn't mean we have to pay tribute to out all-time classic cartoon show about stepbrothers inventing things from their backyard while Perry the Platypus, or should we say Agent P, spending the rest of the day kicking Doof's butt.

This classic cartoon show has spawned 126 episodes, 5 one-hour specials, and a Disney Channel Original Movie. It has been aired in 163 countries and translated to 34 languages, making it a worldwide hit among kids and kids-at-heart.

In honor of the show's tenth anniversary, it's time for me to jot down my ten favorite PAF moments

1) You know that one episode where Phineas, Ferb, and the gang are trying to be one-hit wonders? Yep, that's the one with the song that remains an all-time favorite among PAF fans everywhere. That song that goes ♫Bow-chika-bow-wowthat's what my baby says, Mow Mow Mow, and my heart starts pumping, Chicka Chicka Coo Wah, Never Gonna Stop, Gitchee Gitchee Goo means that I Love You!

2) In an episode titled :Lights, Candace, Action!", when Candace was chosen to be the star of a new movie, her luck got spiraled when Phineas and Ferb ended up being the film's director. Oh, there was one part of the episode where the boys are doing some editing process and you'll see a hint of Ashley Tisdale on it. Ashley, of course, plays Candace in this show.

3) In Comet Kermilian, when Jeremy's bratty little sis Suzy thrown a nut at the back of Candace's trousers, squirrels come attracting on her back and there goes the breakdance forever remembered by many; SIMP. That's Squirrels In My Pants.

4) At the near end of the Summer Belongs To You special, with time running out and a roadblock is blocking their way home, completing their near-impossible "round the world in a day" adventure, the gang spotted some rides to get home quicker and when Candace denies getting in the trike, Phineas yelled "Get on the trike!" That's the first we saw our favorite character getting mad for a brief period.

5) In the DCOM Phineas And Ferb: Into the 2nd Dimension, to stop other-dimension Doof from taking over the Tri-State Area, Phineas and Ferb entered Agent P's secret lair and in there, all of the inventions they did in the past are here and with the gang and all of their inventions keeping the Norm-bots busy, Phineas and Agent P gets to the rooftop of the ahem ♫Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated! for a showdown against other-dimension Doof. When things got bad, the real Doof appears and giving away his prized toy train to his other-dimension alter ego. With the other-dimension Doof finally calmed down and later arrested by the Resistance, things are back to normal and in the end of the film, to make sure Agent P won't be relocated to another family, the gang's memory will be erased using OWCA's top secret device. Oh, and before their memories of this epic day wiped out, Isabella kissed Phineas. There you go.

6) The episode Tip of the Day made us remember what is the tip of the shoelace, which is of course, ♫A-G-L-E-T AGLET!♫ This aglet song forever stuck in the heads of many PAF fans everywhere and thanks to this episode, everybody knows what is the tip of their shoelaces is.

7)  At the end of The Chronicles of Meap episode, they made a fake trailer gag about Meap's next mission but due to inconsistent public demand, the producers made it anyway and it's called Meapless in Seattle. In that episode, Meap summoned the gang once again as they're taking on against his archnemesis, Mitch, before gaining control of a mysterious power that will make the possessor cute enough to hypnotize the entire universe. Still, the episode learned us that even if you possess the ultimate power that will make you look cute, you will be out-cuted by Isabella's cuteness. Simple as that.

8) The Nerds of a Feather episode got Phineas and Ferb involved in a word war between fantasy and sci-fi geeks in a middle of a convention. While the two got involved in a war of fandoms, Candace attends the convention in her Ducky Momo mascot, trying to keep her childhood fandom hidden from Jeremy. One hilarious bit of this episode is the commemorative Ducky Momo plate with the words "I HATE PEOPLE". So much for Candace's childhood favorite.

9) A favorite for fans of Top Gear and The Grand Tour, the Live and Let Drive episode is the one where Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May guest starred as racing commentators while Agent P joins the race as he tries to stop Doof's plot to sabotage the race with his inators.

10) A dream come true from a certain PAF fan, the episode "Act Your Age" imagines what it will be like when Phineas, Ferb, and their pals were teenagers. In that episode, Phineas is in a middle of a hard decision if he wants to be in the same school Isabella attends or not. The climax of this episode hits the sweet spot fans have been longing for because, you guessed it, Phineas kissed Isabella. It really is worth the wait.

Happy 10th anniversary to our ever-favorite creative stepbrothers! Did you know that there will be a special Milo Murphy's Law episode where Milo and the gang meets Phineas and Ferb?! Watch for it this year!

Disney-Pixar's Coco

Last summer, Disney and Pixar gave us their fast-and-furious third installment of Cars and it shows that if you want to get back to the top, you need to stay motivated. It was quite a dramatic installment, isn't it? Now, Disney and Pixar are back for Thanksgiving to give us a heartwarming take on a Hispanic folklore that will captivate the hearts of many moviegoers.

Disney-Pixar's Coco
This is Coco and this is one of the most heart-warming family movies to watch in the holiday season. It's about a young boy named Miguel who wants to be just like a famed musician named Ernesto de la Cruz even though his family prohibits music for ages. Searching for his true potential, Miguel ended up on the Land of the Dead and in his supernatural journey, he encounters a trickster named Hector and they set off in an adventure of a lifetime to uncover his family's hidden past.

In typical Disney and Pixar fashion, Coco never fails to impress the cinema goers with the unique theme focuses on the Hispanic tradition of Dia de los Muertos, the Day of the Dead, the colorful backdrop courtesy of its master stroke of animation expertise, the characters that will soon become memorable for the whole family to remember, and the morale that touches the hearts of many. Of course, being new in the list of Disney-Pixar roster, it's difficult to get accustomed to this new kind of family movie because at first, we are getting unfamiliar with how the film progresses but the more we starting to realize, the more we starting to get used to this new Disney-Pixar movie and in the end, it's a story worth sharing for the whole family.

Yes, unfamiliarity is the least of the problem but there's the biggest problem for all, impatient ones. Right before Coco starts like pretty much every Disney-Pixar film in theaters, there's a short film and for this, we get to see Olaf's Frozen Adventure short first before Coco and right after the short, your cinema meal's all out before the movie start and you don't have much time to watch the whole movie, even when your inevitable CR break kicks in. Despite that, Coco is a very interesting family movie to watch in the holiday season because as the theme suggests, it has that "remember me" feeling you and the whole family would enjoy.

My rating: 4.3 out of 5.

Disney-Pixar's Cars 3

Lightning McQueen returns for the biggest race for this life as the third installment of Disney-Pixar's Cars film is finally on the grid in time for race weekend and for this film, McQueen is trying to settle the score against newer and modernized racecars, including his most fearsome foe yet, Jackson Storm.

Disney-Pixar's Cars 3

As this year's Piston Cup now features next-generation racing cars, including the likes of newcomer Storm (played by Armie Hammer) himself, everything McQueen (played by Owen Wilson) know about the sport he loves will forever change following his sudden downfall during a race. Reluctant to end his long-running career in racing, McQueen seeks advice to an aspiring race technician known as Cruz Ramirez (played by Cristela Alonzo). Sharing common goals, they set off on a cross-country trip to regain his damaged morale. During their cross-country trip, McQueen will later do something that he never done before; go on a demolition derby. That sounds scary but if he really want to defeat Storm, he has no choice trying it out before returning to the circuit to settle the scores and finish what he started.

In addition to Wilson, Hammer, and Alonzo donning voices, Cars 3 brings back Larry The Cable Guy as Tow Mater, Bonnie Hunt as Sally, Cheech Marin as Ramone, Michael Wallis as Sheriff, and Paul Dooley as Sarge, among many others.

Past Cars installments have been proven to be a family-friendly alternative to some car action films we are familiar with but for Cars 3, it finally shows its darker side to McQueen's tale and if by "darker", it really is because with all the intense rivalry, the demolition derby, and what's happening to Lightning McQueen, this film finally came to its senses and you can really feel the rage boiling through its storyline that sets them apart from the past installments. While this film boils the fire within, there's still some sense of humor that makes Cars 3 a fun film for the whole family and there are some life lessons to be learned while trying to relate this film to their daily lives; rivalry, defiance, determination, and the moxie to overcome all odds in darkest of times.

Finally, Disney and Pixar landed on the master stroke with Cars 3 and while this is not ideally the best car movie to watch for car enthusiasts like you and I due to its cartoonish nature, its fiery storytelling, memorable cast of characters, and its classic Disney chemistry will make this another instant classic from the wonderful world of Disney.

Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales

Captain Jack Sparrow and the pirates are back in the most intense and the most epic installment of Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean film series to date as our favorite swashbuckling pirate is facing against a familiar foe and an army of the undead.

Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean:
Dead Men Tell No Tales

Dead Men Tell No Tales is coined as the final chapter of the Pirates of the Caribbean saga and in this final chapter, a horde of ghost sailors led by the once-fallen rogue pirate Captain Salazar (played by Javier Bardem) have escaped from the Devil's Triangle, plotting to kill every living pirate on sight, including Captain Jack Sparrow (played by Johnny Depp), who is on a mission to find the mythical Trident of Poseidon with some uneasy alliances along the way. This film also stars Brenton Thwaites as the Royal Navy sailor named Henry, Kaya Scodelario as a young prodigy named Carina Smyth, Kevin R. McNally, Golshifteh Farahani, David Wenham, Stephen Graham, and Geoffrey Rush as Captain Hector Barbossa.

It's sad to say that because this is the final chapter of the Pirates saga, we might think we are going to miss the adventures of Captain Jack Sparrow but they sure know how to really end the Pirates saga with a blast by pitting our pirate hero against a once fallen pirate villain for a last showdown beyond life and death. While this film can suffer from a very common slow start like most great action-adventure films would be, the thrills and the humors just like every Pirates movie got are still there, delivering the rollercoaster ride the fans deserved until the final blow has landed to show that the Pirates saga is the best as well as Captain Jack Sparrow himself.

While we are waving goodbye to everyone's favorite pirate as well as his iconic lines that made us watching the films because of him, Dead Men Tell No Tales is the saga's final blow to bring out the thrills as we are hoping for the summer blockbuster season because when it hits, that's it, so congratulations, Disney. You guys made the best Pirates movie ever and we are going to treasure these films forever and ever.

My rating: 3.9 out of 5.
