BBLGANG, the Philippines' longest-running and most entertaining comedy gag show that aired on GMA Network, celebrated its 30th anniversary. What better way to mark three decades of Bubble Gang than by bringing together past and present members, along with special guests, for a two-part anniversary special?

Comedian Aziz Ansari returns with his hilarious new comedy that proves miracles happen... just in all the wrong places.

Also starring Keanu Reeves (John Wick series, The Matrix series), Seth Rogen (The Super Mario Bros. Movie, This is The End), and Sandra Oh (Grey's Anatomy, Turning Red), Good Fortune sees Aziz Ansari playing the role of just your average gig worker, tired of living his average life, until his encounter with an angel named Gabriel, played by Reeves, gave him what he wished for, swap lives with the wealthy businessman, played by Rogen. This film made its first appearance at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival.

Unfortunately, this is the only comedy movie you'll get to watch this autumn. There aren't any other options, right? However, the unique combination of comedians Aziz Ansari and Seth Rogen, action star Keanu Reeves, and Sandra Oh from "Grey's Anatomy" makes this film stand out. While it features a lot of typical toilet humor common in many comedies, the story revolves around an angel who swaps the lives of an average guy and a wealthy man, which is the essence of "Good Fortune". The film effectively illustrates what it feels like to walk in someone else's shoes, as portrayed by Ansari and Rogen.

If you need a break from all the overhyped movie lists of the year, give Good Fortune a try. Although filled with toilet humor, it's another proof that comedy is not dead, just like the recent Naked Gun movie.

Oh no! Here we go again! Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis are back for another "Freaky Friday" in the long-awaited sequel to the hilarious mother-daughter body-swap comedy that had everyone laughing.

Freakier Friday, the long-awaited sequel of the hit 2003 Disney comedy movie that brings back Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis for another Friday they'll never forget. It's been over two decades since the mother-daughter tandem of Tess (played by Curtis) and Anna Coleman (played by Lohan) endured the body-swap mess. Anna now has a daughter and a soon-to-be-stepdaughter. When the inevitable happened again, how would the mother-daughter tandem deal with this new kind of mess?

This latest mother-daughter body swap misadventure is nothing like what happened in the first movie. Everything's gone HARD MODE for them, but despite the intense difficulty they're facing in this sequel, it's another proof that comedy's still alive, just as hinted at last week's Naked Gun reboot.

Packed with comedy, drama, family values, and classic Freaky Friday moments worth looking back on, this sequel to the hit comedy classic is another must-watch of the summer season. If you remembered watching Freaky Friday from your youth, here's your chance to return with the Colemans for Round 2. Nothing can prepare you for this.

The Naked Gun (2025 film)

Picture this: when Akiva Schaffer and Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane are tasked to revive one of the most iconic comedy movies in ages, The Naked Gun, whose actor did they pick? Simple, get the action star Liam Neeson and put him in one big, hilarious sandbox. Yep, here's your answer!

Liam Neeson, the action star you're familiar with, has officially joined the world of The Naked Gun in the latest movie, which aims to continue the legacy of its previous installments. In this new-generation Naked Gun film, Neeson takes on the role of Frank Drebin Jr., the descendant of the character originally portrayed by the late Leslie Nielsen in earlier films.

Joining in the fun are Pamela Anderson, Paul Walter Hauser, CCH Pounder, Kevin Durand, Cody Rhodes, Liza Koshy, Eddie Yu, and Danny Huston.

While it may feel odd to see Liam Neeson in a comedy role, as he is known for his suspenseful action films, the classic humor reminiscent of Naked Gun is still present. With attractive women, villainous characters, silly gags, and even a quirky beaver, it's everything you would expect from an action-comedy film that aims to make you laugh out loud, so much so that it feels like it's tickling your very DNA.

From beginning to end, it's clear that this isn't truly The Naked Gun; rather, it's Liam Neeson reimagined in a way that feels like a big Family Guy joke. Thank you, Seth MacFarlane. Despite its strange casting, this new Naked Gun movie serves as evidence that comedy is very much alive.

You can skip Amazon Prime's Coming to America 2 or Netflix's Happy Gilmore 2 for this one. This is the revived comedy classic to choose.

My Daughter is a Zombie (movie)

An absurdly unique and popular webtoon that inspired a TV anime series aired a long time ago; the story of Jung-hwan and his zombie daughter, Soo-ah, came to life on the big screen. It's another webtoon-turned-live-action-movie since last week's megahit Omniscient Reader movie.

Starring Jo Jeong Seok, Lee Jeong Eun, Jo Yeo Jeong, Yoon Gyeong Ho, and Choi Yuri, the Zombie Daughter has sprung to life on the big screen.

Just like the webtoon it was based on, Jung-hwan and his daughter, Soo-ah, have witnessed a zombie outbreak. As they're escaping the zombie hellhole, Jung-hwan finds out that his daughter, Soo-ah, got bitten by a zombie and she's starting to become one. Afraid of losing his only daughter, Jung-hwan seeks help from his mom, named Bam-soon, and a cat named Ae-yong, as well as his old friend, a veterinarian named Dong-bae, to do something no one has ever done in a zombie apocalypse: taming a zombie daughter like taming a wild animal. As the zombie hunter Yeon-hwa, another old friend of Jung-hwan, is tracking down zombies like her, it's up to Jung-hwan to maintain this wild-but-sensitive secret away from her prying eyes.

Sadly, you don't see Ae-yong doing Ae-yong things. Neither is Dong-bae punching a zombie in the face, nor is that XXL-sized granny that made one zombie surrender to the authorities. Kinda like her soups, though. It's just Jung-hwan doing his best to tame his zombie daughter by all means.

True to the webtoon roots, this is a rather unique family movie showcasing the true meaning of "family" in the midst of the zombie apocalypse. You will either laugh or cry in some of the most memorable moments plucked from the pages of the webtoon in this movie. It's heart-warming until the very end.

If you've enjoyed either the webtoon or the TV anime series, this live-action Zombie Daughter movie deserves to be on your must-watch movie list for 2025. With a blend of horror, comedy, drama, and family values, it's another must-watch Korean movie of the season.

With Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder reprising their roles of the trickster demon Beetlegeuse and his victim Lydia Deetz, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is the present-day sequel that also stars Catherine O'Hara, Justin Theroux, Monica Belucci, Jenna Ortega (Wednesday), and Wilheim Dafoe.

In this sequel, Lydia lives as a widow of her daughter Astrid, played by Jenna Ortega. With news from her mother that her father died, things are spiraling out of control for Lydia. When her daughter Astrid fell into a paranormal trap, it didn't take long until Lydia summoned her biggest nightmare, Beetlegeuse, to save her daughter from the afterlife.

This long-awaited sequel to the megahit horror-comedy movie "Beetlejuice" has enough horrifying and hilarious moments to keep you on the edge of your seat. While it may not be as terrifying or funny as the original, it's still a worthy addition to the autumn movie season.

It takes guts to redefine Beetlejuice for the 21st century and he's still scary as ever. Typical Tim Burton alchemy, if you catch my drift.

Halloween has arrived early thanks to this terrifying and comical sequel to the classic horror-comedy movie that will make heads roll. Feeling juiced to be juiced by the Juice? Well, that's all you're getting.

A new generation of Mean Girls has arrived in the cinemas and just like the original Mean Girls, no. You still can't sit with them.

A new twist of a modern classic high-school comedy-drama by comedienne Tina Fey, the new generation Mean Girls stars Angourie Rice as Cady Heron, Reneé Rapp as Regina George, the boss of The Plastics, Bebe Wood as Gretchen, and Avantika as Karen. It also stars Christopher Briney as Aaron, Moana's Auli'i Cravalho as Janis, and Jaquel Spivey as Damian. Tina Fey returns to the reboot as well.

Life for Cady couldn't get even more miserable on her first day of school especially when she got invited to The Plastics and fell in love with the leader's ex-boyfriend. Well, that's high school, and in Cady's case, she's trying to prove that she can outsmart The Plastics, even the leader Regina George herself, by all means.

Like the original, the new generation Mean Girls showcases how modern high school girls behave these days with all the delusions of grandeur that put them at the top of the food chain. Not only that, it also showcases that even the most average of underdogs just like Cady can win the day if all goes to plan, almost. It's stylish, funny, emotional, and in a Mean Girls way, mean. Plastic if some would say.
