Daihatsu Mira e:S teased via leaflet?

2012 Daihatsu Mira e:S teased via leaflet?

When Daihatsu developing a special kind of fuel-saving technology known as "e:S Technology" that provides 30km/L on JC08 test cycle, we are sure that the first car will be equipped with the new energy saving technology (e:S Technology) is none other than the Mira e:S (ダイハツ・ミライース).

The new e:S Technology, soon to be applied on the 2012 Daihatsu Mira e:S, will feature a new gasoline engine, improved CVT, 60kg deduction of weight, thermal management on the engine room, regenerative braking system, and an improved version of Eco-Idle (first applied on the Daihatsu Move).

Looks like the TNP27 finally met its match. This time, this will be...TNP30 on the JC08 scale!

Ang bagong car ni Carl...

Ang bagong car ni Carl

Can a car like yours will end up having a life on its own? Just ask Ejay Falcon! In last night's Wansapanataym episode titled "Ang bagong car ni Carl", he bought a used but tuned Honda EK Civic Ferio, and he's so focused about his daily life when suddenly, when his little brother, Julian, got tripped by the wire and the light connected to the wire dropped on the Civic Ferio's engine and caused minor havoc but still looks normal to Carl (played by Ejay Falcon) and later when the car talked instead of his little brother, that's when things looking ugly when his Civic Ferio talked.

What a creepy episode about a talking Civic Ferio... (-_-)

THE SUV IS BACK!

I am a huge fan of the 2011 Dodge Durango because of such muscular looks, luxurious interior only a politician would fit in, Class No. 1 in towing and driving range, and being a seven-seater SUV. With the recent launch of new Durango commercials showing that this returned SUV never forgotten that the S stands for Sport, showing its LONG LOST PERFORMANCE since its two-year absence.

The 2011 Dodge Durango seems to be taking a liking by other fans and it's not a joke. Imagine a commercial with seven Stig wannabes trying to get inside the 2011 Durango, using the Ferrari reference for its luxurious interior, and of course, you can lay a finger against the Ford Explorer because the 2011 Dodge Durango can tow better than the 2011 Ford Explorer!

Aw, geez. Wish our ride was the new Durango because of its best in towing, seven seater capacity, and best in driving range. We're getting jealous to have one. Guess what? CATS Motors has the new 2011 Durango but unfortunately, available only in V6 engine variants. Why not judge by ourselves? But still, the SUV is back!

Roadster History

Song played on my Personal BGM: What a Fool Believes by Matt Bianco
From the Album: Samba In Your Casa

Since August 3, 2011, the NR-A Roadster Cup is added on Gran Turismo 5's Seasonal Events. There were bigger prizes await not just big money, but Racing Suits/Helmets (1st place), new exterior colors (2nd place) and new car horns (3rd place) are awaiting to players much like the other Seasonal Events that offer that kind of prize. Anyway, time to get sentimental because we're going to tackle the history of the Roadster. Three generations of Roadsters were offered in Gran Turismo 5 at all kinds but let's go over about these generations;

1) Eunos Roadster, we presented

The first Roadster (1989-1998)

The first Roadster (designated as NA) debuted in 1989 under the name, Eunos Roadster. which of course, Eunos is one of the brands from Mazda aside from Efini and Autozam back then. The Eunos Roadster was exported worldwide as the Mazda MX-5 Miata. It was hugely popular among enthusiasts because of such lightweight chassis. What I don't like about this car is the old, retractable headlamps. The Eunos Roadster is powered with either a B6-ZE 1597cc 4-cylinder DOHC engine that produces 120ps/6500rpm of power or the BP-ZE 1839cc 4-cylinder DOHC engine that produces 130ps/6500rpm of power. There are so many special editions of the NA Roadster, including the S-Special, V-Special, or the J Limited. The first Roadster is all about choice.

2) ROADSTER, Reborn

The second Roadster (1998-2005)

In 1998, the arrival of the New Roadster came into reality. It even exported worldwide as the second-generation Mazda MX-5. The positive aspect about the NB Mazda Roadster is that it retains the styling from the Eunos Roadster, only this time, the retractable headlights from the NA Roadster has been replaced by the fixed headlights, providing the essence of style. Hunting the second-generation Roadster (MX-5 Miata) sounds more challenging and it may take a few days to get this model. Here in Gran Turismo, the second-generation Mazda Roadster/MX-5 Miata is powered with the BP-ZE 1.8L 4-cylinder engine that produces either 145/160ps of power. Because of the lightweight body, I guess the fun-to-drive factor is all it can do but not always. You need the right suspension setting to bring this Roadster's cornering to its full potential.

3) One car. One driver. One feeling.

The third Roadster (2005-present)

In the year 2005, the Mazda Roadster (MX-5 Miata) received another full model change and gained the designation of NC. By November 2005, the NC Roadster won the 2005-2006 Japan Car of the Year.  When it first arrived in August 25, 2005, it became a sensation because the Mazda NC Roadster was just a miniature version of the Mazda RX-8 but the 3rd Roadster retains the 2-seater capacity from the previous two generations. The standard engine is the LF-VE 1998cc 4-cylinder DOHC engine that produces 170ps/6700-7000rpm of power and torque of 19.3kgf-m/5000rpm. Being an FR sportscar seems to be more enjoyable but for the Roadster, its about looking at its best. The concept of "One car. One drive. One feeling." really serves the point about the NC Roadster, even though in the year 2005, when the car was released, it gained a huge success and earned the title of being 2005-2006 Japan Car of the Year. The world-class Roadster seems to be fitting well in GT5.

These are the three generations of the Mazda Roadster (MX-5 Miata) that are featured on Gran Turismo 5. Select the one you'll think it's the best on the NR-A Roadster Cup on Seasonal Events, and go for the win! If you're aiming on your next Racing Gear, go for first place! If you're aiming for the next exterior color for your car, go for 2nd place! If you want a new horn for your car, aim for 3rd place! This is just like any previous races that offer that kind of prizes. Go forth and win!

BANANA SPLIT CLOWN IN A MILLION UPDATE 8/6/11

We're here again on the official Banana Split venue, Club Mwah, for some more Clown In A Million. First off, we witnessed GB Labrador from Quezon City with his haircut joke. Of course he's BALDING! (LOL) The whole haircut joke really snags the crowd. Then it's Aldwin Nino Tolentino from Quezon City. He's spoofing Vilma Santos! Wow! Guess he spoofed the Star of all Seasons 'till he turned himself into...DARNA! After that, it's Allan Bulanadi a.k.a. Yapuka from Marikina a.k.a. Onse.  He shows of his crazy comedic acts. He thinks he can play a piano with no hands, he can fly (almost), and that's it. He's got uses.

The winner is...GB LABRADOR FROM QUEZON CITY! THE BALDING WINS!

Feels great for the Balding joke that snagged the whole Club Mwah crowd, especially when the cast of Banana Split goes Lion King at the start and 1970's at the middle. Right now, here's the HOT SCOOP:

1) Ate Guy, nagbalik na! Mga Noranians, di magkamayaw sa pagsalubong sa kanilang idolo, ang the one and only superstar!

2) Kuya Kim Atienza, hindi nagpaawat sa kanyang mga sagot sa ating Tanong In The Can!

Tanong In The Can No. 1: Ano po ba ang pinakamahal na kape? Yun po ba ang sineserve sa Pagcor?

Tanong In The Can No. 2: Anong pet and wala ka pero matagal mo ng gustong magkaroon?

Tanong In The Can No. 3: Pabor po ba kayo na ilipat ang pasukan sa September? O ilipat na lang ang bagyo sa May para walang pasok?

Tanong In The Can No. 4: Ang dami nyong commercials, mayaman na ba kayo?
