2012 Lamborghini Aventador

Last year, the V12-powered Lamborghini Murciélago ended production, giving a grand total of over 4,000 units built. The death of the Murciélago is somewhat spilled with criticisms but until now, the successor of the Murciélago has arrived under the name, Aventador, named after a legendary Spanish bull which Lamborghini has a tradition of naming exotics after raging bulls.

Like the legendary bull, the Lamborghini is fierce and deadly. The design was borrowed from the limited edition Reventon and the Estoque concept car, providing some futuristic cues to the Aventador, making it a sharp-dressed exotic designed and engineered at Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. On the interior, the Aventador boasts overall luxury that puts the McLaren MP4-12C to shame.

Of course, the dashboard kinda reminds me of the McLaren MP4-12C but that's different for the Aventador. These fighter jet-like cues really put the Aventador in versus mode and ready for some massive fistfights against the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, Lexus LFA, Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, or even the Nissan GT-R R35. Whoever drives that must have called him a very aggressive businessman, leaving all the IT guys behind in the business world.

Under the bonnet, the new Lamborghini Aventador is fully armed with the newly-developed L539 (6.5L V12) engine that produces a power output of 700PS/8250rpm, torque output of 690 N·m/5500rpm, CO2 emissions of 398 g/km, and combined fuel economy of 5.8km/L (17,2 l/100 km). This new engine is Euro5 compliant and by the numbers, the newly developed L539 engine gives the Aventador a maximum top speed of 350 km/h and 0-100kph in about 2.9 seconds. Since it's a midship 4WD exotic, launch is the Aventador's biggest forte.

A special transmission, a 7-speed Independent Shifting Rod (ISR) transmission, is engineered because no existing semi-auto transmission can handle the torque of the L539 engine. The ISR transmission provides the fastest shifting time of 50 milliseconds, making it one of the best features the Aventador does not live without it.

The Aventador is offered in 13 exterior colors such as Nero Aldebaran, Giallo Evros, Bianco Isis, Nero Pegaso, Grigio Estoque, Grigio Antares, Blu Hera, Arancio Argos, Arancio Atlas, Giallo Orion, Nero Nemesis, Bianco Canopus, and Marrone Apus.

My Comment:
The Aventador's biggest strength was its aerodynamics, design, new V12 engine, new transmission, MR-4WD combo, jet-like design, and the raw power that keeps fans salivated for more. Ideally, Lamborghini limits its production to more than 4,000 units but unfortunately, it was already spoken for. Did you know, before PGA Cars started distributing Lamborghini cars in the Philippines at the end of 2011, about eight mega-wealthy Filipinos were the ones who placed an order for the Lamborghini Aventador? Being sold out after its unveiling, the Aventador turned out to be more profitable for the company. There's also a roadster version coming soon next year. Whoever has one, must have been called a very bad businessman.

Because there is no Best Motoring since it was axed after the June 2011 issue, there is no chance we can see the Lamborghini Aventador making the turns on Tsukuba Circuit or Fuji Speedway.

The Murcielago successor, the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 debuted on the Geneva Motor Show earlier and it was sold out for the first half of the year, making it the most successful Lamborghini built. Did you know, that about 8 wealthy Filipinos already placed orders for the Aventador, each costs 30 million Philippine Pesos. It was a good start for PGA Cars, which is now the official Lamborghini distributor of the Philippines.

FINAL IMPRESSIONS: The Insignia Project... If my memory serves me correctly, GM Europe started the Insignia Project when the Insignia was launched since 2008 in Europe and in January 2009 in the Great Britain as the Vauxhall Insignia. It was the first to attain the new logo for both Opel and Vauxhall. Later on, a high-performance version of the Insignia known as the Insignia OPC (Insignia VXR in Britain) appeared and it comes with a Flexride suspension, adaptive 4x4, and a turbocharged V6 engine. These qualities truly called the Insignia OPC/VXR a monstrous European machine that has the quality of high-performance luxury sports cars such as the BMW M5.

The Insignia Project hasn't stopped there. Forza Motorsport 3 added the Vauxhall Insignia VXR to the Road & Track Car Pack since April 2010 and it given Forza players the opportunity to try out the monstrosity of the Insignia VXR's turbocharged V6 engine and the Flexride suspension. Because of my trend to try out the latest and the hottest cars, I still haven't quite given up playing this game and the Vauxhall Insignia VXR is one the finest British sports saloon ever made. The World God Only Knows II Original Soundtrack

Watching The World God Only Knows II (日本名：神のみぞ知るセカイII) kinda reminds me of 100 Days To Heaven but the tandem of Keima Katsuragi and Elsie are not like Anna Manalastas and Sophia Mendoza because it's a different angle but anyway, the duo continue their mission to win the hearts over girls. This whole mission is nothing like a video game. With the introduction of characters like Haqua, Kusunoki Kasuga, Chihiro Kosaka, and Jun Nagase, along with others, the all-star cast really turned TWGOK II one of the best loved anime series ever seen.

To make it up from this 12-episode anime series that succeeds from its first half, the original soundtrack of TWGOK II is now here and the original music score by Hayato Matsuo really get them reminisce back Keima Katsuragi's mission to win women's hearts and the freak insanity offered. The World God Only Knows II really turned from 100 Days To Heaven to 12 Days To Freak Insanity because of the story-line. Also featured are TV sized versions of theme songs such as A Whole New World God Only Knows and Ai No Yokan. The final closing theme titled HAPPYEND by Hiro Shimono and Sakura Tange, once teased in the final episode of The World God Only Knows II, was included as a TV EDIT version because the release date of the full version of HAPPYEND has yet to be determined. We have to wait 'till Geneon Universal Entertainment green lights that song teased from the final episode.

This is it. Most of you waited for 24 hours, the exact length of time for the 24 Hours of Le Mans held at Circuit De La Sarthe in France, to get your hands of the price. Instead of 24 Hours of Le Mans, this is 24 Hours of anime store, exactly that you've been waited to get your hands (already smothered with French Fries) on IS (Infinite Stratos) DVD or Blu-Ray Volume 4. The reason why you guys waited to get your hands on that because (your number one favorite) Charlotte "Charles" Dunois (シャルロット"シャルル" デュノア) was on it right? Admit it, most of you love that Parisian chick because of, well, you know. Anyway, after my trip to Le Mans, here's the 100のヴィ学 on (your favorite IS chick) Charlotte Dunois. Ready Get Set Juicy! And if I mean Juicy, cue the music from Juicy please!

IS (Infinite Stratos) Blu-Ray Vol. 4

Despite being disguised as a male in the IS School, Charlotte "Charles" Dunois is highly attractive to the eyes of fans. Even Ichika knows what might comes next to this French representative. And if I meant that, the dialogue "Ichika, you pervert" is the most catchiest Charlotte Dunois line everyone would love to repeat that line over and over again. If you were a female wanted to disguise as a boy (take the female protagonists from Hana Kimi Taiwan Drama and the Korean drama The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince), how would you do that? Guess girls wanted to be just like Charlotte Dunois, right? When you lay your eyes at the face of Charlotte "Charles" Dunois, it's like love that pushed your heart to the Veyron speed at the Le Mans Circuit De La Sarthe's Mulsanne Corner. She had an innocent smile of a Parisian chic but she had a heart of the Veyron because her personal Infintie Stratos was the Rafale Revive Custom II.

Behind the voice is Kana Hanazawa who was Kanade "Tenshi" Tachibana from Angel Beats, Kobato, Nadeko from Bakemonogatari, Zange from Kannagi, Shiori from The World God Only Knows, Ruri "Kuroneko" Goko from Ore No Imouto Ga Wake Ga Nai, and Rhythmy Kyono from Tokimeki Memorial 4. We weren't sure why Kana Hanazawa landed the role of the French chick from IS but we sure is fun to have her. France-tan is best-tan!

About IS DVD & BD Vol. 4: Once you get your hands on Infinite Stratos DVD or Blu-Ray Volume 4, you length of time for getting hooked will exceed the time length of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. That means, you'll get hooked more of its special features such as special audio commentary by Yoko Hikasa and Kana Hanazawa, and textless outro version 4. Episodes 7 and 8 are included. Rest in piece, Mr. Hot Wheels

We would like to express our sincere condolences to the death of Elliot Handler, the co-founder of Mattel who gave birth to Hot Wheels, the toy car collection adorned by kids of all ages because of its collection and wild sets (that has some traps, traps, and some roller-coaster like roads).

Elliot Handler (age 95) died on Thursday by a heart failure. He created Hot Wheels that made a sensation for young boys just like Barbie that attracts young girls. It even collaborated with Electronic Arts for the PSOne video game and Hot Wheels spawned cartoons of those from Acceleracers to Hot Wheels Battle Force 5.

With the death of the creator, we will surely miss him because of his extreme creations that fueled the young boys for collecting lots and lots of Hot Wheels cars. I maybe not a Hot Wheels fan but I am surely missed him. He maybe passed away but the Hot Wheels legacy lives on because boys of all ages adorned these collection.

The Caterham Seven Fireblade is powered by a 900cc inline 4 cylinder engine sourced from the Honda Fireblade motorcycle, providing a power output of 138HP, torque of 87ft-lb, and weighs 369kg. Because of such lightness, many people who owned the Caterham Fireblade can max it out to the limit. It can either be 207HP (fully tuned with Stage 3 Turbo) or 237HP (fully tuned with Supercharger) respectively. Before participating in the British Lightweights at the Seasonal Events section, they want to tone the fully tuned Caterham Fireblade down a little to match the required 550PP limit. Let's just say um, increasing the weight a little.

Even with the monster hiding inside the Fireblade's lightweight body, there is a heavy disadvantage. The Caterham Fireblade is somewhat not good at straight lines because it can be easily overtaken by such heavyweight exotics, especially the rare Nissan R390 GT1 Road Car but despite that, the Fireblade loves corners especially when it gets carried away. Judging by its lightweight size, the Caterham Fireblade is the ultimate British lightweight machine. Finding it on the Used Car dealer sounds tough but once you saw one and had enough money, well, it's up to you.
