PRESS RELEASE:
DETROIT – Nearly 125,000 Chevrolet fans have spoken, naming the 1969 Camaro the "Best Chevy of All Time."

As part of Chevrolet's Centennial celebration, fans were asked to vote for their favorite vehicle from Chevrolet's 100-year history. During the four-round, elimination bracket, the 1969 Camaro garnered 25,058 of the 124,368 votes cast, edging out the 1970 Chevelle SS in the final round.

Tom Peters, Chevrolet Design director, believes the '69 Camaro is not only one of the best vehicles in Chevrolet's history but one of the best vehicles ever. He is a little biased, however, having owned the same 1969 Camaro for nearly 20 years.

"I can vividly remember seeing one for the first time as a kid," Peters said. "The intent of the Camaro was instantly understood, even to a 14-year old like me, because it possessed a very powerful personality and an elegant, simple design. The Camaro was so cool because it offered this great style, high performance, and yet was attainable for someone just getting out of school.

"Today, the '69 Camaro has become one of the best examples of timeless design in the industry," Peters said. "Like the very best designs, the Camaro is much more than just a machine because it evokes powerful emotions in people of all ages. That's why we looked to the '69 for inspiration when designing the fifth-generation Camaro, and why the '69 Camaro is an example of the timeless vehicles Chevrolet will strive to deliver for the next 100 years."

This goes to show, it doesn't matter which Chevrolet, new and old, you prefer but what matters is, you're with the Bowtie that stands out the crowd.

Driving Music (What is the name of the song on car commercial?) Vol. 10

Our blogs' been under attacked by some unknown hacker from Canada, who left a message that says "kia k5 song". I mean come on, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A KIA K5 SONG. It's an original and you can't find it! Go away! Scram!

Because of such intrusion, let me give you Volume 10 of our Driving Music segment, where we can show you the best 5 Driving Musics (Car Commercial Songs) for you to enjoy finding it. We're not warning you...

5) Zombie by The Cranberries - you may hear it at a Renault Clio commercial where this guy's listening to that song while driving a white Renault Sport Clio. Life is too short to be boring...

4) Mommy Complex by Peaches - you may hear it on a latest Citroen DS3 commercial where the twin girls switch through various fashion. The Citroen DS3 is all about personalization.

3. Quando Quando by Englebert Humperdinck - you may hear it on a Honda Fit Shuttle Japanese TV commercial.

2. Surfin' USA by The Beach Boys - you may hear it on a Renault Kangoo French commercial where a kid submitted a pile of papers filled with "what are your plans this weekend" assignment to the teacher. So, what are your plans this weekend?

1. Here I Am by Maia Hirasawa - this must be the song from the Japanese Lexus CT200h commercial. I'm sure you heard of it.

...and these were the best five Driving Musics (Car Commercial Songs) for you to enjoy. If anyone hacks, this segment never ends until you had enough looking for car commercial songs. It pays to be a knowledgeable car enthusiast knowing what are the songs played on some car commercials.

Crikey! Top Gear Australia got cancelled!

"It's true - as of next week, TGA will be on at the special time of not at all. Sorry to the open-minded people that gave it a go and enjoyed!" - Steve Pizzati, Top Gear Australia host

Oh, crikey! It seems that the Australian version of Top Gear got themselves pulled out because of very low ratings and the viewership waned to about 400,000.

Australia's Channel Nine decided to get rid of Top Gear Australia after two years of programming the Aussie version of the BBC hit motoring TV magazine. At its first run, it garnered 1.5 million viewers nationwide but later on dropped to about 400,000 viewers nationwide.

This Australian channel said that only four episodes of the current season but only three are aired, which means, when will they aired the fourth episode of this current season of Top Gear Australia?

Back in 2008, Top Gear Australia was aired in SBS and this version is hosted by Steve Pizzati, Charlie Cox, and Warren Brown. Every version has their own Stig and Top Gear Australia's never without The Stig, Top Gear's mascot driver. Later on, with season 2 of Top Gear Australia produced by SBS, Charlie Cox was been replaced by James Morrison, a musician just before Channel Nine obtain the rights in last year. When Nine aired TGA, both James Morrison and Warren Brown got replaced by actor Shane Jacobson and Ewen Page, a journalist.

It's been a rough memo to remove the Australian version of Top Gear but I'm sure we'll miss this Aussie version.

トヨタプリウス(ZVW30)のマイナーチェンジ?

2012 Toyota Prius

A facelifted third-generation Toyota Prius made a surprise appearance at the 2011 IAA in Frankfurt, Germany and upon looking at the front view, it looks like that the 2012 Toyota Prius has a front bumper derived from its big brother, the Prius Alpha MPV. Not only that, there's a new rear lamp designed applied and wow, this one pleases me.

I believe that the facelifted 2012 Toyota Prius will come to Japan this 4th quarter (November 2011, perhaps?) thanks to this leaked information courtesy of Carstadium.net.

Question is, will the Prius G's (G Sports) arrive also with the Prius facelift? Not sure but be patient.

The new Around View Monitor on the 5G Grandeur 3.3 GDi Celebrity

Around View Monitor developed exclusively
for the 2012 Hyundai Grandeur 3.3 GDi Celebrity

The new Around View Monitor offered exclusively on the 2012 Hyundai 5G Grandeur HG330 Celebrity says that this is the first Korean car to get such technology for enhanced parking safety. What I say is, that Hyundai snagged this technology from Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., because this technology was used on cars such as the Nissan Skyline Crossover (Infiniti EX), Infiniti QX56, and the Nissan Elgrand.

Anyway, the Hyundai 5G Grandeur HG330 Celebrity's Around View Monitor uses separate cameras to display the image of a vehicle from above. This provides the Grandeur to confirm it's relation to the lines around the parking space. With the Around View Monitor, the owner can position the Grandeur Celebrity for parallel parking or park the car in a smart way with ease.

Let's define "Super-SUV" - The Eterniti Hemera Concept

Eterniti Hemera Concept

What's exactly a Super-SUV? A sports utility vehicle possessing attributes of an exotic sports car? Not sure, but a new luxury car maker, Eterniti Motors London, made that up for their first product, the Hemera.

It maybe a British clone car of the Porsche Cayenne but the Eterniti Hemera is capable of over 180mph of top speed and over 620bhp of power, claiming that this is the world's first super SUV ever made.
That's not all. Even with a sporty exterior, the Hemera has a luxurious interior, making it a haven of luxury, comfort, and protection, using only the finest materials handcrafted by the finest craftsmen from around the world.

It was designed and engineered at the London-based NYX Atelier.

WHAT? There will be no Japan-spec Ninth generation Civic?

North-America spec Honda Civic

Europe-spec Honda Civic

There was a ninth-generation Honda Civic in the USA, and there was a ninth-generation Honda Civic in Europe (to be on sale next year). Now, the question really comes in mind is, will there be a Japan-spec ninth-generation Civic?

Takanobu Ito, president and CEO of Honda Motor Co., Ltd, says that "there is no possibility for a Japan-spec new Civic soon", which is bad news for Civic fans like us.

Remember that the Honda Civic was discontinued in Japan last Summer 2010 for unknown reasons. In fact, this is going to be such bad thing why Honda is letting countries like the US and Europe getting the ninth-generation Civic.

He said that Japan has many Civic fans but it's undecided to bring the new Civic to the Japanese market because of the March 11 disaster, strong Yen, or whatever the heck he'll explain...

"Japan has lots of Civic fans. We have no plans for a Japan-spec new Civic but there will..." Takanobu Ito said that when he was at the 2011 IAA at Frankfurt, Germany.

Is Japan has a possibility to bring the new Civic? Or would Honda likely reject it?
