FH2 Storm Island: Range Rover revisited

rr

As you may recall, this is the Range Rover that is part of Forza Horizon 2's NAPA Chassis Car Pack and yes, I used that car in previous championships a few moments ago so why am I driving it again? It's simple because since I'm in a middle of my Storm Island journey, I used this car again to test out its offroad capability that most offroaders do when things get dirty.

Since the championship that I'll be taking involves more of SUVs like this, I decided to try it out and continue my road to the Island Finale.

rr (2)

I am not changing my low-vis Eli Ayase design that I just made for the Range Rover, which is very fitting for this full-size SUV, but instead I fettled with the performance by adding specially-made parts suitable for Storm Island challenges such as rally tires, rally suspension, and low-range gearbox. Right now, this is much slower than my previous one I used while on the road to the Horizon finale but it feels so offroad-capable.

Now, it's time for the show!

Elichika may not forgive me for what I did but the Range Rover is very happy, knowing that its off-road capabilities have been put to greater use.

With the Range Rover wins the championship I've just signed up, my road to the Island Finale is drawing nearer and the journey continues...

When a Range Rover gets converted into a pickup

No. This isn't some kind of an editing trickery done by some sly mongrels. What you're looking here is one of STARTECH's creations and this is how an ultra luxurious Range Rover converted into a sport utility truck.

To be showcased at the 2015 Shanghai Motor Show, STARTECH, a division of Brabus, managed to chopped the roof down and convert this uber-luxury SUV into a sport-utility truck. It's not just limited to such a bizarre conversion because it also comes with a widebody kit, 23-inch wheels, new suspension, custom exhaust, new interior, and an upgraded 5.0L supercharge V8 creating 526HP of power output.

When completed, it will be classified as a commercial vehicle rather than a luxury SUV, so import prices come cheap but in the meantime, it remains a show car set for its Shanghai debut so dream on.

Forza Horizon 2: The New Range Rover

rangerover

The all-new Range Rover is part of Forza Horizon 2's NAPA Chassis Car Pack, on sale now, and I am very delighted to try out the latest generation of Land Rover's flagship SUVs that combines the off-road ruggedness of an SUV with the premium comfort of a premium saloon into one incredible package only the high rollers can afford on.

rangerover (2)

So, what's it all about the latest generation Range Rover?

rangerover (3)

Premiered at the 2012 Paris Motor Show and went on sale shortly, the fourth-generation Range Rover features a first for SUVs; an all-aluminum bodywork that results to an incredible 420kg weight loss over the previous generation. Aside from its amazing weight loss thanks to its new bodywork, this new Range Rover comes with the new active suspension system, electric power steering, 8-speed automatic gearbox, and an updated version of Land Rover's Terrain Response system. This updated version comes with a clever feature that can adapt through any terrain the driver is on now.

rangerover (4)

If I had to remember, there was one episode of Top Gear where presenter James May drove this one against an unmanned TerraMax military truck on the Nevada wastelands and then the Range Rover won, just. That clear win really proved how capable this new Range Rover is as well as its new technology, new bodywork, and everything on its disposal.

But now, how about here? In Southern Europe? Under my care? Well, despite being a big car, it still works just like a sportscar and I can enjoy getting my foot down to listen the sound of its 5.0L Supercharged V8. Whether I take it on or off the road, I going to have as much fun as I want because this is the latest-generation I've been longing to drive one in the world of Forza. Although it's rich with luxury features, the Range Rover is still a Range Rover because it can take on any terrain it see fit and when it comes to navigation, this SUV doesn't need help from maps because it can get through Point A to Point B on the straight line rather than following the curves of the road. I'm feeling like one of Britain's legendary adventurers exploring through the four corners of the world except for me, I'm exploring the four corners of Southern Europe.

rangerover (5)

Anyway, that's what I want to believe on this new Range Rover and I think that's enough because while continuing on the road to the finale, I've signed this car to a championship suitable for this car and to do that, some extensive improvements have been made.

rangerover (6)

Aside from performance improvements I made, I also designed something suitable for the my new Range Rover. A low-vis vinyl of Love Live's Eli Ayase and some other stuff around the outside. Since she's a quartet Russian, I've even added a Russian license plate as well.

Now, let's get to work but be advised, it's as hard-hitting as Jean-Louis getting hit.

Me and my Range Rover had finally won the Sports Utility Heroes Championship and the journey to the Finale continues...

Gran Turismo 6: HELLO EVOQUE

This is the luxury crossover in question. It's called the Range Rover Evoque, one of the many new cars you can drive on Gran Turismo 6 and it's also one of the cars I demanded GT6 to feature it...well sort of because the one I have in the game is the sportier Dynamic version...in three-door Coupe trim.

Anyway, the Evoque, what is it? Why would the Evoque just wanna say HELLO GT6?  Here's a little story about this posh spice...

Premiered in 2010 and went on sale in the Autumn of 2011, the Evoque is basically the production version of the Land Rover LRX Concept, as seen on the 2008 NAIAS. It may look like an SUV but it also looked like a sports car, therefore it went against conventional SUV looks and feels.

Unlike its bigger brothers, the Evoque doesn't have a huge separate chassis, a low-range gearbox, and a big engine. It's based on the Freelander 2 platform and just 90% of the parts were revised for road clearance purposes. There are numerous engines for the Evoque to choose from such as a 2.2L diesel engine or the one I have in my Evoque in GT6 is a 2.0L turbo engine which produces 236HP of power and 250.9ft-lb of torque.

Legend has it that to compensate for the lack of a low-range gearbox, the Evoque features a clever tech called TERRAIN RESPONSE and even though the Evoque doesn't look like an off-roader, it still behaves like any off-roader. It even has magnetic iron filings in the suspension to quickly adapt the shock absorber firmness regardless of any road.

I had to admit that by the time I drove this crossover on GT6, it's good to say that the ride is pretty much excellent and even though it's just a mini-RR with a bit of posh spice in mind, not to mention the whole Victoria Beckham gig, I find the Evoque to be rather amusing to me. Despite being a bulk of a crossover, the Evoque still fares like a sportscar in the handling stakes and as for the off-road stakes, the Evoque still fares surprisingly well...but only just.

I love this car. It rides excellent, it's better off-road, and it has a charismatic appeal to stand out. The Evoque may not be quite a stunner in the world of Gran Turismo 6 but it's still a crossover well played to face the world.

Is it a proper Range Rover or just a big designer's purse? You decide the outcome in case you have one in your GT6 car collection.

Things to know about the Evoque:
1) It's a crossover that sees the departure of SUV conventions most Land Rovers had.
2) JLR invested over 27 million British Pounds Sterling worth of government grants to produce this at their Halewood plant
3) Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham was heavily involved in the Evoque's detailing.
4) It scored five-star overall in the Euro NCAP rating
5) Since its launch, JLR received over 18,000 pre-orders for the Evoque

The New Range Rover Sport

The Range Rover Sport, if my memory serves me correctly, the Range Rover Sport is a premiership footballer's favorite SUV but sadly, even though it's a Range Rover, it isn't a real Range Rover because in the past, what's underneath is just components from the Land Rover Discovery, so this is nothing more of a faux Range Rooney rather than a real one. Sadly though, it feels a bit more of a commoners' car rather than a rough-and-tumbling beast that loves to play with Mother Nature, before this one consign to the history books, good news! There's a new model coming up!

2014 Land Rover Range Rover Sport

This is the all new Range Rover Sport. It costs about over 20,000 less than the normal Range Rover, and on paper, the new model is now the most dynamic and the most sportiest in the Range Rover lineup. It maybe a new model but with it stay true to its promises by its name? Remember; RANGE ROVER SPORT. The words "RANGE ROVER" determines its true off-road potential while the "SPORT" determines its...well, sportiness. Does it stay true to its promises? Well, don't get to hasty because let's start with the basics.

Like its normal Range Rooney, the Range Rover Sport now sports an all-aluminum chassis, which benefitted 400kg of weight loss. That seems to be rather impressive, indeed, to have its 400kg weight lost but still, good job for those working behind the scenes. In terms of engine choices, you can have either a 3.0-litre LR-TDV6 diesel that accelerates from 0-60mph in 7.1 seconds, a 3.0-litre LR-SDV6 diesel engine that accelerates from 0 -60mph in 6.8 seconds, and for the more hardcore enthusiasts, a 5.0-litre LR-V8 supercharged petrol engine that accelerates from 0-60mph in 5.0 seconds. Well, that was unexpected, there were two diesel engines and one supercharged Jaguar engine available for the RR Sport but there's more to it than that because this car has been through a lot of challenges. In Pikes Peak, the Range Rover Sport set the record for the fastest ascent in a production SUV, which is good then but that's just the tip of an iceberg because the with the Range Rover Sport, it promises to conquer the deeper, higher, and colder challenges thanks to its cunning performance figures that really stand out against its rivals.

2014 Land Rover Range Rover Sport
Like the Range Rover, the new Sport comes with the new generation Terrain Response which adapts the vehicle’s settings to suit the terrain automatically. It's becoming one of the most intelligent offroaders ever made and it's pretty much the same as the normal Range Rover that our Springer Spaniel drove against a self-driving military truck and won against it. Ooh, yes. That new Terrain Response really is worth the smart and oh, there's even that part where it detects the water level as well, which is great if you're trying to monitor the RR Sport's progress in the water levels. For offroading, the new Sport really is worth bearing the Range Rover name.

So, what about the Sport name? Does the new model still bears the Sport in the Sport Utility Vehicle name? Well, you remember the part where The Stig drove this and see if its faster against the Mini JCW GP in a time attack. Even though it's just an SUV made for offroad purposes, the new Range Rover Sport can also be a perfect track-day car and judging from its dynamic performance, when you set this one on DYNAMIC MODE, it feels like it wants to give a Porsche Cayenne a run from its money. It feels like blowing a lovely bunch of watermelons with TNT or blowing up sacks of flour with naphthalene. Ding dong.

2014 Land Rover Range Rover Sport interior

2014 Land Rover Range Rover Sport interior

Like the Range Rover, the Sport still features tons of luxury equipment and for an added treat, there is now a third-row seating at the back, which means the new model became the first-ever Land Rover model to come with third-row seating which allows you to seat two kids at the back and yes...expect the whole "ARE WE THERE YET?" questionnaire which annoys most parents all the time. Good thing you can shut them up with a fair bit of entertainment but sadly, entertainment stuff goes to the 2nd row seating.

But still, no matter the outcome, the new Range Rover Sport is becoming a British equivalent of the uber-ugly Porsche Cayenne and even though it's becoming a performance-oriented super SUV, it still hangs on to the promises. It has the right to bear the name Range Rover Sport.

The SE model (available from January 2014) will costs about 51,550 GBP up to 74,995 GBP for the Autobiography Dynamic, with additional costs from options and accessories.

Available Colors: Fuji White, Indus Silver, Ipanema Sand, Scotia Grey, Nara Bronze, Corris Grey, Firenze Red, Aintree Green, Loire Blue, Santorini Black, Luxor, Causeway Grey, Chile, Mariana Black, Barossa, Havana, and Barolo Black.

2014 Range Rover Sport premiered in NY

2014 Land Rover Range Rover Sport

With a little help from special guest, James Bond actor Daniel Craig, the whole Manhattan stopped for a whole moment just to experience the world premiere of the new generation Range Rover Sport.

The reason why New York was chosen as the premiere point is because it is the world’s largest metropolitan market for the Range Rover Sport: more of these models are sold in this city than any other in the world.

Story: http://cars.uk.msn.com/news/daniel-craig-launches-new-range-rover-sport-in-new-york

For this new model, it follows the trend of its brother, the standard Range Rover, by dropping 800lbs of weight thanks to its aluminum bodywork. It even comes with an updated version of Terrain Response as seen on the standard Range Rover as well. Well, you know, the one with the Automatic setting on it that detects road conditions.

For the first time in Land Rover history that the Range Rover Sport now has 7-seats! 7-seats! In a Range Rooney! That's a first!

The All-New Range Rover (L405)

2013 Land Rover Range Rover

At long last, after a decade of having the previous incarnation been with us for too long, a full-model change occurred in one of Britain's legendary luxury sport utility vehicle that combines the ruggedness of an offroader while offering preimum luxury of a premium sedan. That ladies and gents, say hello to the All-New Range Rover.Yes, really, this is the all new model. Not the same old model ten years ago.

So, what to expect on the All-New Range Rover? Well, you can expect a host of different engine types available on this new model such as the supercharged 5.0L V8 that you'll find it on the Jaguar XKR, 4.4 SDV8 diesel, and the 3.0L TDV6 diesel engine, all mated to an 8-speed gearbox, which sounds too much for a transmission made by the Germans. 8 gears is like, overdoing the whole litro of your favorite softdrink or overstuffing your clothes in one Space Bag, waiting to be vacuumed. I know it's a bit too much for that kind of gizmo but something's good about this new model...

2013 Land Rover Range Rover interior
While the exterior is no different from the previous model, the interior is a bit more like its little brother, the Evoque, but with some added posh-ness. Imagine if Lord Alan Sugar wants to ride one of those...

Anyway, this new model sure comes in handy for those who are ruling a nation with an iron fist and if I mean iron fist, it's someone who wears a gauntlet. Heh, iron fist....gauntlet....sounds synonymous to me. The thing about this all new Range Rover though is the way it feels because in the past, the Range Rover is made to be somewhat as chunkier as a can of Chunkee Corned Beef. When a corned beef's getting chunkier, it gets even meatier than a normal corned beef and with some added minced potatoes, it looks even more scrumptious. For this new Range Rover though, no corned beef, no crispy pata, no tocino, no ham, no meaty-related nonsense here because what they did there is a bit of liposuction. Nope, not the fat-sucking procedure that most ladies want, it's the use of an all-aluminium monocoque structure that blessed it a reduction of 420 kg (925.9 lb) compared to the outgoing model. So, where does weight goes into?

Well, with a massive weight loss, this feels like a teenage girl went on a binge spree. And with all that binge leads to something...they made it quicker, more agile, and by a chance, more economical. It's no longer a gas-guzzling monster that needs to be put with some Apollo 11-esque experiment on the exhaust that makes zero emissions. Well, that would be timey-wimey but the figures suggest that with the supercharged V8 model, this will lead to 60mph in about 5.1 seconds while the one with the 3.0 TDV6 promises a combined fuel consumption of 37.7MPG. Whoa, turns out that the one with the 3.0L TDV6 engine is proven to be much more economical and its recommended for those who can't afford petrol due to the ongoing crisis.

2013 Land Rover Range Rover
Because Range Rovers are on an active duty when they're offroad, they have a majestic presence, something that its rivals can't do but for an all new Range Rover, it has various gizmos that can adjust the height, change driving response on certain road conditions, and so much more. It even has a new version of Terrain Response system so mastering the most unforgiving roads would be a breeze. Imagine if a Jaguar XJ is toughened up the Mad Max way so it can get through the most punishing desert roads no one can ever survive.

I mean hey, this all new Range Rover is like a Jaguar XJ with some added toughness. Imagine if this is the British Prime Minister's new ride, I'm sure this guy sure knows how to rule Britannia with an iron fist. RULE BRITANNIA! Whoa, sorry about that. This is just whimsical idiot stuff for me. Anyway, as for the pricing, you'll be in a lot of trouble because with prices start at £71,295 to £98,395 and with loads of options and accessories at your command, it's going to be near-Rolls Royce money for that matter but in the name of Solihull, the Range Rover is the last word for ruggedness meets luxuriousness. Only the rich and powerful are welcomed to be indulged with it. Rich and powerful...

You got to love this all new Range Rover. Thanks to its massive weight loss, powerful engines, powerful design, powerful interior, and everything that puts the power in you, you are worthy of dominating every road that steps in your way.

Available Colors: Fuji White, Siberian Silver, Indus Silver, Luxor, Orkney Grey, Nara Bronze, Causeway Grey, Firenze Red, Aintree Green, Baltic Blue, Santorini Black, Mariana Black, Barossa, Havana. and Barolo Black.

Additional Colors coming in Summer 2013: Valloire White Pearl, Borealis Black, Ligurian Black, Piemonte Black, Bardolino Red, Roma Red, Bering Grey, Paris Blue, Balmoral Blue, Antilles Blue, Verbier Silver, British Racing Green, Stanhope Grey, London Gold, Calama Copper, Madagascar Orange, Spectral Red, Spectral Blue, Spectral Green, Spectral Amver, Spectral Light Blue, Spectral Lime.

Special edition Evoque (as influenced by Victoria Beckham)

Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Victoria Beckham

Well, we kinda agree that the interior of the Range Rover Evoque was heavily influenced by actress turned fashion designer Victoria Beckham but this special edition Range Rover Evoque, showcased at the Auto China 2012 in Beijing this April 27 to May 2, is heavily influenced by Victoria Beckham, inside and out!

The basis was only the Evoque Coupe with 2.0L turbo engine and only 200 units will be made with China as its first target. She said "I was very excited to be working with Land Rover as I have an enormous amount of respect for the brand. I've always driven a Range Rover, for me they are the epitome of quality and luxury. For me you should feel luxury. My brand is known for quality and workmanship and so is Land Rover. So for me it felt like the perfect collaboration."

The exterior packs matte paint and 20-inch gloss black rims while the interior packs a black lacquer veneer, textured aluminum and “soft-feel” black paint, rose-gold plated accents, tan-colored leather for the seats, door inserts, armrests and cubby lid, mohair floor mats and microsuede headlining. Also, a leather luggage set and a leather wallet included on the user guide signed by Victoria Beckham was included for exclusivity.

This Victoria Beckham-influenced Evoque is all about exclusivity.

Welcome Back: 2008 Land Rover Range Rover Supercharged

Range Rover does look perfect on the jungle

Looks like Jeremy Clarkson's on a road trip to the Kilners

Let's play dashboard spot the difference!

Modified Range Rover by WALD seems to be okay...

The Range Rover...this one is much heavier than the Audi Q7 V12 TDi and BMW X5 M, and slower, and thirstier. But unlike those Germans, it does look a bit more majestic. This one comes with a supercharged V8 engine that powered a Jaguar, so I think this would be somewhat awkward to drive in places like Houston or Abu Dhabi, or places where petrol isn't cheap. In Forza Motorsport 4 though....I maybe a world's biggest Range Rover fan but this engine makes no sense. I saw that on Top Gear when Jeremy Clarkson reviews the Range Rover, the Audi Q7 V12 TDi, and the BMW X5 M.

To make this one more convincing, Jeremy Clarkson has one of these. We saw him driving his Range Rover on a trip to search for his roots that can be traced back to Jeremy Clarkson's great-great-great grandfather, John Kilner, inventor of the original Kilner jar. It was in one episode of "Who Do You Think You Are?"

Also, this Range Rover is featured on Top Gear's original video launched in 2010 titled "Top Gear Apocalypse" for a game of "Dashboard Spot the Difference" with Richard Hammond and James May. It's funny and that's enough.

Imagine if the back of the Range Rover looks perfect to put a drinks cabinet just like the modified Range Rover by Overfinch in collaboration with Holland & Holland, the gun maker.

That looks good! Remember that we don't do "Drinking while Driving" but we do keep the drinks for emergency purposes. The Range Rover, still on its 3rd generation, maybe a bit staunch and a bit old but it is catching up...

The Power of Presence

2012 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque

The Range Rover Evoque is one of my favorites because of its technology, crossover styling, and luxurious interior. It maybe a "baby Range Rover" but it does well. As you heard, Land Rover Philippines announced the arrival of the all new Range Rover Evoque.

Available in the Philippines is the Evoque Si4 which produces 240HP of power and it comes with direct fuel injection technology. It is mated with a 6-speed paddle shift transmission. The Evoque is priced at 5,350,000 Philippine Pesos while the Evoque Coupe is priced at 5,500,000 Philippine Pesos.

You should know that the Evoque is Motor Trend's 2012 SUV of the Year and 2012 North American Car of the Year.

2012 North American Car of the Year is... the Avante and the Evoque!

2011 Hyundai Avante

2012 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque

The Hyundai Avante/Elantra MD and the new Range Rover Evoque, hailed as 2012 North American Car of the Year as announced on the 2012 NAIAS in Detroit, Michigan. Congratulations to Hyundai and Land Rover for such wins!

PRESS RELEASE:
Hyundai Elantra, Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Win North American Car and Truck of the Year

DETROIT, - The Hyundai Elantra is the 2012 North American Car of the Year and the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque is the 2012 North American Truck of the Year.

The winners were revealed Monday morning at a news conference at the North American International Auto Show.

The winners were chosen by a jury of 50 automotive journalists from the United States and Canada.

The awards are unique in the United States because instead of being given by a single media outlet they are awarded by a coalition of automotive journalists from the United States and Canada who represent magazines, television, radio, newspapers and web sites.

The awards are designed to recognize the most outstanding new vehicles of the year. These vehicles are benchmarks in their segments based on factors including innovation, comfort, design, safety, handling, driver satisfaction and value for the dollar.

It is the second win for Hyundai. In 2009 the Genesis won. The Sonata was one of three finalists last year.

It was the first win for Land Rover although Land Rovers were finalists twice before.

The jurors gave the Elantra 174 points, the Passat 161 and the Focus 155.

The jurors gave the Evoque 254 points, the CR-V 142 and the X3 94.

"The Hyundai Elantra is sporty, yet sensible. Luxurious, yet affordable. Spunky, but safe. The Elantra is a series of paradoxes and every one is another argument for the latest, impressive entry in the Hyundai lineup," wrote Jayne O'Donnell, a member of the jury from USA Today.

Another juror, Alex Taylor, of Fortune magazine, wrote: "Range Rover successfully charts a new direction for the venerable SUV trailblazer with a fresh design and advanced thinking about environmental issues."

Domestic automakers have won North American Car of the Year 10 times. Japanese automakers have won three times. European automakers have won four times. A Korean automaker has won twice.

Domestic automakers have won North American Truck of the Year 12 times. Japanese automakers have won four times. European automakers have won three times.

This was the 19th year of the awards and it was the strongest showing by European automakers in 15 years with BMW, Land Rover and Volkswagen each having finalists. In 1997 Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar and BMW were the three car finalists with the winner being the Mercedes SLK.

To be eligible a vehicle must be all new or substantially changed. The jurors considered dozens of new vehicles before sending their ballots to Michelle Collins, a partner at Deloitte & Touche early in December.

On December 15th the three car and truck finalists were announced. But only Ms. Collins knew the winners until she handed over envelopes today to Tony Swan, editor-at-large at Car and Driver magazine and a member of the awards' organizing committee. Mr. Swan announced the winners.

This is the 19th year of the awards, which were inspired by the "Car of the Year" in Europe.

They are administered by an organizing committee and are funded with dues paid by the jurors. There are no paid positions. Automakers do not pay to have their vehicles considered or to use the awards in ads.

The "2011 North American Car of the Year" was the Chevrolet Volt.

Last year's "2011 North American Truck of the Year" was the Ford Explorer.

MORE INFORMATION: More information on the awards -- including names of the jurors, previous finalists and winners -- is available at: www.northamericancaroftheyear.org.

Motor Trend 2012 Sport/Utility of the Year is the Evoque!

2012 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Coupe

The Range Rover Evoque is definitely one of the best crossover utility vehicles I have ever seen in my life. The design is sexy, the interior is top notch, the performance is too good to be great, and above all else, I love it.

Because of such impression, the Range Rover Evoque won the Motor Trend 2012 Sport/Utility of the Year. According to Motor Trend's Angus MacKenzie, the Evoque is the bold step ahead on the fastest growing category.

JLR Global City branch

Jaguar/Land Rover/Range Rover Lifestyle and Activity Center

A new Jaguar Land Rover showroom is opened at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig as part of increasing existence of these British car brands (Jaguar, Land Rover, and Range Rover) in the Philippines.

Called the Jaguar/Land Rover/Range Rover Lifestyle and Activity Centre, this Taguig-based showroom is more than just offering Jaguars, Land Rovers, and Range Rovers, but also treating customers with the respect as if they were guests at their homes. This is hospitality comes standard at the JLR Global City branch.

The Jaguar/Land Rover/Range Rover Lifestyle and Activity Centre is located at the corner of 32nd Street and 4th Avenue in Crescent Park West at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City. This is a relocation from an old showroom at Sen. Gil Puyat Avenue in Makati City in order to accommodate the demands.

Don't worry though, this old showroom in Makati City will make room for upcoming car brands coming in the Philippines.

Land Rover Range Rover Evoque

2012 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque

The latest debutante for the British-engineered, Indian-owned, Jaguar Land Rover is the Range Rover Evoque, the first-of-a-kind premium crossover designed and engineered in United Kingdom. If you would take someone very attractive from your head (for instance; the Haven Troopers, USSR female soldiers, Masamune Usami from Mayo Chiki, Ai Nanasaki from Amagami, the models from the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issues, Houki Shinonono from Infinite Stratos, Shirley Fenette from Code Geass, Hinagiku Katsura from Hayate the Combat Butler, Mikoto Misaka from To Aru series, the female lifeguards from Baywatch, even the female news anchors from NHK World such as Yuko Fukushima, Ai Uchida, Shery Ahn, Sumi Zushi, Saki Ochi, Keiko Kitagawa, Catherine Kobayashi, Kanako Sachno), this is how your imagination would look like when you step out. With the new Evoque, the latest crossover should have reigned the title that the Hyundai Tucson iX have but it can also take the titles that the other crossovers had. The Evoque is a new crossover that is smarter, stronger and sexier than the competition. Whoops, we took the line from the Nissan Sentra commercial from the Philippines!

Imagine if Michio Kijima and James Tengan met themselves at the bar, and then, they are debating what's what about this crossover. (Please note that this is a fanfic)

2012 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque

Michio says: That car has the most stylish exterior and interior I have even seen in my entire life. When I get inside this crossover, it's like this is the most luxurious sports utility vehicle ever. When I checked the interior design, it seems that most Takumi or "master craftsman" took pride on the way this car does. The navigation system seems to be highly functional to me. Wherever I go, this navigation system has the right all the right directions I need to go when I am taking a day-off from my work. The Meridian Surround Sound System provides high-quality audio that is clear enough to listen to my favorite music while travelling with this crossover. As I heard, that car's heavily based on some concept car I saw (take note, the LRX Concept for instance) and once I heard that this concept car's gotten the production cue, I was surprised to see such a production version of this concept car and I am very happy to see this coming. As I heard, there were two kinds of this crossover such is a 3-door variant and a 5-door variant. If I had to choose one, I would pick the 5-door variant so I can bring my friends for a vacation to Kansai.

2012 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Coupe

James says: Mine, I would go for the 3-door variant because why should I settle for anything else? Anyway, that crossover has the lowest CO2 emissions unlike any other Range Rover models I saw, making this crossover capable of calling it a true eco-car. As I heard, there will be a eD4 Manual variant available starting early next year. The available grades are the TD4 Manual, SD4 Manual, and SD4 Automatic. Most of them come with a 2.2L Diesel Engine but they are different in my opinion. An Evoque equipped with the TD4 diesel engine and a six-speed manual can go as much as 185kph (115mph), CO2 emissions of 149g/km, and combined fuel economy of 17.5km/L (49.6mpg). The SD4 2.2L diesel engine provides 190hp of power output and it comes with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. If the Evoque SD4 comes with a 6AT, the combined fuel economy will be 15.4km/L (43.5mpg) but with 6MT equipped, the Evoque SD4 will get a combined fuel economy of 17.5km/L (49.6mpg) as the manufacturer states it. The eD4, which will be on sale early next year, will be the lightest diesel engine the world has ever made. It was engineered to be more quieter and refined unlike any other diesel engines today. Once powered, the Evoque eD4 will get a combined fuel economy of 20km/L (56.3mpg), making it the ultimate eco-car. No wonder a company like this would have create such a fuel-efficient crossover like the Range Rover Evoque.

Michio says: Wait, don't you forgetting something? If you pick the Dynamic trim on the Range Rover Evoque, there is an exclusive Si4 2.0L gasoline engine available. This engine provides 240hp of power while the combined fuel economy is 11.5km/L (32.5mpg). The 6AT offered on this variant has a Drive Select feature which rises up to "handshake" the driver when the engine is switched on. Paddle Shifters is also a top priority on this variant, making it a fun to drive Evoque for all! I always want to have that!

James says: Kijima-san, did you know that the Evoque has numerous of helpful features that provides more help to the driver? Let's just say that there is the new Terrain Response System. The latest installment on the Range Rover's legendary Terrain Response system comes with Dynamic Stability Control, Electronic Traction Control, Hill Descent Control, Hill Hold, and Roll Stability Control. There are numerous of helpful features such as the Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control, Electric Power Assisted Steering, and Electronic Park Brake.

Michio says: What an interesting feature Mr. Tengan. What about the colors?

James says: The color variation? Oh yes, as my friend says, there are twelve exterior colors available for the Evoque and the Evoque Coupe such as Fuji White, Barolo Black, Buckingham Blue, Colima Lime, Firenze Red, Galway Green, Havana, Indus Silver, Ipanema Sand, Mauritius Blue, Orkney Grey, and Sumatra Black. They can be fitted with four roof types for either the Evoque or the Evoque Coupe such as the Body Colored Solid Roof, Narvik Black Contrast Roof, Fized Panoramic Roof, and Narvik Black Contrast Panoramic Roof.

Michio says: Those color variations look very nice. My favorite pick would be Fuji White because it sounds more Japanese to me.

James says: Mine would be Buckingham Blue because the blue color does fit the color of my suit I'm wearing.

Michio says: Mr. Tengan, guess I would be leaving now. Thanks for a great conversation!

James says: You're welcome!

The punchline is: Michio drives a Evoque!

...and this fanfic I made does served the point about the new Range Rover Evoque. Guess I just hope that we want to get the Evoque or the Evoque Coupe to the Philippines soon but most of the engines they have are Euro 5 compliant and that would be impossible to bring the Evoque or Evoque Coupe to the Philippines. I'll just wait until the Evoque or Evoque Coupe comes to the Philippines as a gray market "Dubai Version" model at some grey market dealers in the Philippines where "Dubai Version" cars are sold.
