Latest A7H Update features SSC Tuatara and Koenigsegg Agera R

Tuatara on the latest A7 HEAT update

For the Version 1.0.7 of the hit mobile game, Asphalt 7: HEAT features two new supercars that will go insane for their high speeds. Yes, they've now featured, for the first time, SSC's gut-wrenching concept dream machine called the Tuatara and Koenigsegg's Agera R! Not only that, this new update includes a lottery mode where you can have a chance to win great prizes or new cars that seems to be too much for requirements and then, new cups added on the SPECIAL EVENTS section of the game. They've added new cups that will give you access to the Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary, Murcielago LP670-4 SV, Gallardo LP570-4 Spyder Performante, and the SSC Tuatara.

Let's Do The News! (January 30, 2013)

*To further up the ante to this "Let's Do The News" segment, rather than the Top Gear-style method or River Song's diary method or others, let's try a Have I Got News For You method. Let's make a fictional HIGNFY stuff to make this segment fresh...

Man 1: Hello and welcome to Have I Got News For You. My name is [BLEEP] [BLEEP] and in today's top stories, it seems that it's not a good idea dipping a hamburger to a ketchup because your friend may get you noticed why are you dipping your burger to a ketchup....

(audience laughing)

...then if you are ordering a pizza, the best way to pay by cash is by accidentally fall your cash to the floor and ask the delivery guy to come and get it...

(audience laughing)

....and then when basketball players passing balls to their teammate, it seems that the coach joins the passing game...

Coach With The Assist! - Watch More Funny Videos

(audience laughing)

...wow, coach. Seems that you're joining the game as well...kind of...Anyway, that's this week's news and let's begin with on my left panel is a gym teacher of some prestigious college somewhere in the national capital region, whose hobby was collecting...something. It's [BLEEP] [BLEEP]

(cheers and applause)

Gym Teacher: Thank you! Thank you very much....

Man 1: Also next to the gym teacher is some one of my friends I used to hang out after work at Gilligan's Island in Festival Supermall. He's a sort of mokong who kinda feels like Mokujin...kind of....

(audience laughing)

...ladies and gentlemen, it's [BLEEP] [BLEEP]!

(cheers and applause)

Man 2: Why, nice to meet you! Thanks!

Man 1: And now, onto my right panel, she's a teacher from a private school at some province in Luzon. After hours, she loves to make chika to her pals about what's in, what's out, what's ooh, what's eww, well, the usual stuff. It's [BLEEP] [BLEEP]!!!

(cheers and applause)

Teacher: Hi, [BLEEP]! Nice to meet you, too!

Man 1: And lastly, next to her is some gadget junkie who lives at some posh condo in Alabang, Muntinlupa City. He sees his gadgets as an investment as much as toys. Well, I never invested on anything than my life...Say hello to [BLEEP] [BLEEP]!

(cheers and applause)

Man 3: Hi there!

Man 1: And let's begin the show! Now, Mr. Gym Teacher, sir, and my best pal, sir. Sir ma'am sir...I have news for you.

Gym Teacher: What?

Man 1: Say, do you like cars?

Gym Teacher: Uh, oh yes! I like cars. I drove a Toyota FX at work you know.

Man 1: Yeah, right. You're driving a Toyota and if you're a fan of Toyota, here's something that clears everything up...(ahem) There was a report that Toyota Motor Corporation is back at being number one...

Man 2: Number one at what? Number one of having the most number of cars being recalled?!

(audience laughing)

Teacher: Number one at forgetting about the unintended acceleration case?

(audience laughing)

Man 1: Uh...nope. Number one carmaker in the world in terms of sales after it reportedly sold almost ten million cars in 2012, while General Motors is second and Volkswagen's third place.

"Toyota is once again the world's No. 1 carmaker in terms of sales after it reportedly sold 9.75 million vehicles in 2012, according to TheDetroitBureau.com.
In second place is General Motors with 9.29 million vehicles, while Volkswagen comes in at a close third with 9.1 million vehicles"
Source: Top Gear Philippines
Gym Teacher: Wow! Toyota's back at being the number one automaker in the world. I guess that the success of the Toyota 86 sports car really payed of to get this Japanese carmaker back on top after a mass recall in 2010 and the March 11, 2011 disaster at the Tohoku region.

Man 2: Yeah, not bad for Toyota but I think that it may not gonna last longer because as we know, Toyota is still on cases about recalls. I think General Motors may come back on top again because...well, between you and me...have you guys saw the new Corvette?

(audience laughing)

Man 3: I do! And I played that on Gran Turismo 5 via free DLC.

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Final Prototype
Man 2: Aw man! That was the best looking Corvette ever, man! Totally epic!

Man 1: Yeah, totally epic indeed but sadly though, I think I'll pass. I would choose the Viper instead of the Vette...

(audience laughing)

Man 2: Why?

Man 1: Because, I am one of the Viper fans admitting that Vipers are better than Corvettes because Vipers are America's speed kings. The Corvette is...um...how can I say it politely? Well, I don't know...Not my type. Sure, Corvettes have a long history but seems that it's not the right car for me.

Man 2: Aw, come on!

Man 1: Forget about it! Forget about it! I don't like Corvettes and that's the end of it...

(audience laughing)

Man 2: Fine, if that's what you want but for me, I like this new model better. It's better looking than the SRT Viper.

Teacher: Anyway, when I was in the UK, well, I went there to see my friends for a change, my kids saw this show called Tweenies.

Man 1: Tweenies? That show for pre-schoolers called Tweenies?

Teacher: Yes, my kids love this show but sadly, only in the UK so they can only see that show if we're there...

Man 1: Yeah, I know but....there's a news that really bothers me...

Teacher: What is it?

Man 1: There was that news about that encore presentation of the Tweenies as seen on cbeebies, the BBC's pre-school channel, which the episode was aired in 2001 showed some sort of...Jimmy Saville spoof on that episode...

A Jimmy Saville spoof from Tweenies
“BBC apologises after episode of children’s show The Tweenies features character dressed as child sex abuser Jimmy Savile.” Source: Daily Mail

Teacher: Who's Jimmy Saville? I don't who's Jimmy Saville is and what's the big deal about it?

(audience laughing)

Man 3: He was that old guy who died about two years ago. He was once a presenter of some show from the BBC and what I heard is, he's a (whispering) pedophile....

Man 1: A what?

Man 3: He's a pedophile. Jimmy Saville's a child sex abuser who spent his years molesting children. That repeat episode of a classic kids show aired on cbeebies, it sparked tons of complaints saying that this is deem to be inappropriate. Kinda like some episode of a family show that has an inappropriate character on it...

(audience laughing)

Teacher: So you were saying is that Jimmy Saville was a sex offender and a pedophile who sexually abused children during his six-decade tenure in the entertainment industry? My gosh, guess their childhood ruined.

Man 3: You betcha, ma'am. CHILDHOOD RUINED!!!

(audience laughing)

Man 1: Childhood ruined for her kids....good thing that Mr. Jimmy Saville's in hell right now two years ago. Guess he won't be coming back molesting innocent children or for worse some kids shows having characters spoofing or acting like Jimmy Saville. Good thing I don't like Teletubbies....

(audience laughing)

Man 2: Me neither...

Teacher: Why? My kids often watched those while they were young....

Man 1: Trust me, madam but some people say that Teletubbies are a bit...um...gay.

(audience laughing)

Teacher: What?

Man 1: Gets worse, okay? Now, listen. When I was on the internet, I just saw a clip about who are the people behind the Teletubbies and you know what I saw?

All: What?

Man 1: Those...

Teletubbies unmasked

(audience laughing)

All: WHOA!!!!

Teacher: Seriously?

Man 1: Yes it is, ma'am and if that wasn't enough, I went to the internet and I found this...

(audience laughing)

Teacher: You're kidding, right?

Man 3: Wait a minute...are you sure that woman on that pic was used to be that sun with the baby's face on it?

Man 1: Uh...I dunno but...those morons think that this girl was the one. She's that Teletubbies sun baby of some sorts....

Gym Teacher: Oh come on! Perhaps a figure of their childhood memories turned into some kind of a Jersey Shore girl?

(audience laughing)

...I mean come on out here!!!

Man 2: This is just like that Family Guy episode when Stewie went to the BBC to see Jolly Farm Revue, only turned out that everything he saw on TV were fakes, especially the one called Mother Maggie on it. Stewie thinks that she supposed to be lyrical like an angel but turns out she's as rude as hell...Anyone saw that episode?

(all murmuring)

...well, what can I say? Childhood Ruined. It really burns your heart worse than what Moriaty said (mimicks Moriaty) I WILL BURN THE HEART OUT OF YOU!!!!

(audience laughing)

Man 1: Well, that's enough of your Moriaty mimick stuff and...um...there's a lesson that goes "You just realized...kids shows aren't as innocent as you thought". Pretty soon, when kids starting to notice what's behind the scenes on their favorite kids shows, they're going to be shocked and render them traumatized, having their childhood ruined.

Man 3: Yeah, and there's more to that thing you said about ruined childhood. You know, when parents said to their kids about the real truth behind their favorite kids characters, let's just say either Spongebob or Rugrats or Ed Edd and Eddy or Teletubbies or any kind of kids shows; that shocking truth really traumatized the kids. Seems that their parents really want to ruin their kids' childhood memories but who to blame. Better yet, best not to tell the kids the shocking revelations behind their childhood heroes or else...well what can I say? Childhood ruined....

(audience laughing)

Man 1: Thank you for that Mr. Geek-a-tron 3000....(laughing)

Man 3: Hey now, I went on the internet and I found this...

Nissan Elgrand E52
Man 1: What's this?

Man 3: It's a Nissan Elgrand but it's the latest E52 model. It's launched in Japan since the summer of 2010 and it's definitely one of the best Japanese luxury MPVs ever built. Now, it gets even better because what Nissan said is that they've tweaked the Elgrand's Around View Monitor with new features such as Motion Object Detection and Collision Avoidance Assist.

Man 1: Wait a minute...Motion Object Detection? Collision Avoidance Assist? On the Elgrand's Around View Monitor? How does it work, my man?

Man 3: Well, to be honest, the new Motion Object Detection helps detect incoming objects right through the Elgrand's Around View Monitor and that new Collision Avoidance Assist helps the car brake by itself in a near-collision scenario, even backwards. That will help those who are having trouble parking their cars...

Man 1: Yeah, wish I want that kind of car...

(audience laughing)

...oh hey! Heard the news? Seems that the senate's approving the Alternative Fuel Vehicles Incentives Act...that means...

Man 3: That means that Philippines is getting some new eco-friendly electric cars or plug-in hybrids right?

Man 1: Exactly! What?

(audience laughing)

Teacher: Well, when you said about Senate approving the Alternative Fuel Vehicles Incentives Act of 2013, that bill said that there will be incentives given to cars with alternative fuel, especially hybrids, right? I mean here's what really sums it up...

"Based on the bill, fiscal and non-fiscal incentives shall be granted to the importation and manufacture of electric, hybrid and other vehicles that use alternative sources of energy such as, but not limited to, solar, wind, hydrogen fuel cell, compressed natural gas or liquefied natural gas, methane and liquefied petroleum gas."
Source: Top Gear Philippines

Man 2: I guess that hybrids are on the rise, right? If that come to fruition, guess we Filipinos will be buying hybrids on a budget thanks to such incentives. Wish Honda Cars Philippines will bring hybrids to compete...

Man 3: Yeah, and you know who's the brainchild responsible on this act?

ALL: Who was it?

Man 3: Among one of them responsible for this bill were none other than...Vicente Sotto III...

Man 1: Tito Sotto? That guy responsible for the anti-cybercrime news?! Oh my goodness, I'm not favor for that kind just because a man who wants to scare us with the "libel" stuff on the anti-cybercrime law was responsible for this....Speaking of which, the TRO's going to expire an everyone's will be all black in the world of social networking here....

(audience laughing)

...and I guess we're running out of time here. And before we go, I just wanna say thanks to the panelists for coming at this day and also...ARE YOU READY FOR SIX NATIONS RUGBY?

Good night, everybody!

(cheers and applause)

Peugeot RCZ minor change

2013 Peugeot RCZ
2013 Peugeot RCZ interior
So, Peugeot's sports coupe, the RCZ, may have been more of looker but when it take par against an entry-level Audi TT or a Mini Cooper (not the S variant) on it, you should have seen the look on your face that when you saw that on Top Gear Korea two years ago, the RCZ is much quicker than the entry-level TT and the Mini.

One thing I didn't like about this car was its double bubble roof and thanks for being in such size, I can't even fit myself at the rear seats. I would bump my head from fitting myself in it. Being a 2+2 sports coupe, it would be better to have two people fit inside because the rear seats have little legroom on it, unless you are sitting on it instead at the front passenger seat.

Anyway, for this minor change, the new RCZ is getting more of an emotional feast rather than being just a nuisance to the city streets. Thing is though, that horrible face of the RCZ when it first came in 2010 is now changed and whoa! Check this baby out! That fresh new face of the RCZ is looking a bit even more sexier than a high-school girl in a body of a 25-year-old supermodel. Welcome to the choose-your-poison swimming club cafe! He he he...

While the new exterior look of the RCZ's minor change has the appeal of a high-school girl in a body of a 25-year-old supermodel, the interior is pretty much the same and because it still has this rubbish double-bubble roof, I still have the hassle of fitting myself at the rear seats. Well, I could just forget about the rear seats anyway because the number of people you can fit on this 2+2 seater RCZ was only two. What's the use with those rear seats? Well, you can make patong-patong with your date's shopping bags or her purse or your personal stuff, whatever. He he he... Maybe unless if I can seat on those rear seats while the front passenger seat has been folded for a while but it would bump my head trying to fit myself in...Oh boy....

Engine choices? Let's have a look...

  • 2,0L HDi FAP 160ch BVM6 - 32,500 Euros

2013 Peugeot RCZ
Well, that really clears it up but it seems that Peugeot reworked the RCZ's suspension a little bit further. The ride height's been lowered, the center of gravity's been lowered, widened track and when I get over it, the reworked suspension's brewed like mild coffee. It's getting milder and milder, making it easy enough to get through even if you're not concentrating. I have to say that for a school girl with the body of a supermodel, that new RCZ's really know how to memorize The Frog poem without spilling a cup of mild coffee that I bought from Starbucks'. Well, isn't that wizard! Sadly, I'm afraid that is not sophisticated wizardry applied, that's old-fashioned Peugeot goodness. Despite the gearbox being too rubbish, the handling wasn't quite bad and it's not that desperately impractical.

If that wasn't put you off, it seems that Peugeot is planning an even more powerful version of the RCZ, which will be introduced to the range at the end of 2013.

Pagani Huayra is Top Gear track's fastest on Series 19 debut!

Pagani Huayra

Betcha didn't know that Series 19 of BBC Top Gear began and on the first episode of TG Season 19, we saw Jeremy Clarkson driving something that's more funnier than the Peel P50, called the P45, and then James May tries out the new Bentley Continental GT Speed on a rally stage.

But the biggest part of Series 19 debut was Pagani's brand new supercar, the Huayra. It went round the track and the lap time was...1:13.8, faster than the Ariel Atom V8!

I REPEAT...HUAYRA IS NOW TOP GEAR TRACK'S FASTEST! (Sorry, V8 Atom...)

Aside from the new Huayra's success comes with the flaw of guest star, Golden Globe Award winner Damian Lewis because he recorded the slowest celebrity lap at the track. That's 2:09.1 on snowy conditions. Sorry Damian...

2013 Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Super Trofeo

At the final round of the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo 2012 in Spain, Lamborghini unveiled their updated version of the race-spec Gallardo, which will be using in the 2013 season. While sharing its new design from the 2013 Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 as seen on the 2012 Paris Motor Show, the race-spec Super Trofeo comes with improved aerodynamics that produces 120% improvement in aerodynamic efficiency.

2012 Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4

Revealed at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show and served as the replacement to the Murcielago, the Aventador LP700-4 marks the new chapter in the history of Lamborghini. Since its announcement, a full-year supply of Lamborghini's newest flagship V12 supercar has been sold out quickly, making it one of the most successful supercars Lamborghini has ever made. Powering the LP700-4 was Lamborghini's new 6.5L V12 engine, the first all-new V12 engine for five decades. It propels the car from zero to 60mph in 2.9 seconds and flatout in 217mph. Despite that cornering is now Lamborghini's number one priority, it seems they're not even bothered by acceleration.

Forgave this car for having a name that came from a famous cartoon character that goes "Beep beep!" but betcha didn't know that Chrysler paid thousands of dollars to Warner Bros. to use that intellectual rights to the Road Runner name and then use the B platform as its basis for this muscle car. Exclusive to the Road Runner was Chrysler's 383 CID (6.3 L) Roadrunner V8 rated at 335 bhp (250 kW) and 425 lb·ft (576 N·m) of torque, mated with either a four-speed manual with floor shifter or Chrysler's three-speed TorqueFlite automatic.

Aryana ending

Hey guys! Anyone watched the ending of Aryana? If you haven't seen it, let me explain about how it happened...

When the public is on the hunt against Aryana for being a real mermaid, a fight between Aryana (Ella Cruz) and Stella (G Toengi), Megan's mother, broke out and when Aryana uses her powers against Stella, she came into retreat while Aryana's friends risk everything to prevent authorities from hunting down Aryana. While the terror continues, Aryana's mother, Ophelia (Pokwang) decided that the best way to end this is to kill herself.

There was a rule that if whoever's under the mermaid's contract dies, the curse will be broken. If you recall in the past episodes, Ophelia once made a contract to Neptunia that she will return Aryana to her but with a curse for Aryana to become a mermaid...until in later episodes that when she wears a magical bracelet from the mermaids, she will have legs again and then reverts back when she takes it off...

So, when the public raided and found Aryana, the mayor tries to reveal that if Aryana's the mermaid everyone's been hunting for until when uncovered, her legs returned back to normal but how? Oh yeah, it was the mermaid's contract... NOOOOOO!!!!!

However, by a suddenly mysterious miracle, it appears that Ophelia was rescued by Neptunia (Desiree Del Valle). Reason why because Neptunia needed Ophelia to help Aryana more and explained the truth. After the truth, Neptunia sacrificed herself to break the curse.

After Neptunia's sacrifice and the reunion between Aryana and her family, as well as second chances for Stella and Megan, let's talk about how it ends...

The real ending starts at the prom and in that ending, Aryana decides whether if Adrian or Hubert will join her dance but turns out, she chose her parents instead.

This concludes the magical tale of Aryana, hope you'll enjoy this fantasy drama while it lasted!

Let's Do The News! (January 25, 2013)

River's Diary

Right, what's the news today you spoiler-laden TARDIS journal?

Why I felt sympathy over THQ's loss

Yesterday, I heard that famed video game maker, THQ, is declared bankrupt and some of its franchises will be sold to new owners. That story made me sad because in my youth days, when my mommy bought me a PSOne back in the 90's, my mama bought us some PSOne games to make us ready. One of them was a video game made by THQ. It's titled Vs. and it was a fighting game that feels a bit amateur-ish. Anyone remember that game? But there's more than that about THQ; this company was first founded in 1989 as Trinity Acquisition Corporation and began businesses in 1990 as Toy Head Quarters. Their first game was Peter Pan and the Pirates, released in 1991.

For a quick history lesson: http://kotaku.com/5978508/a-history-of-thq-1989+2013

Anyway, about how I felt about THQ's loss, I know it was a very sad moment, not just me but for everyone affected by the news. As a matter of fact, most of them who are working on THQ are going to the unemployment line for good, and that makes me sad. Tomorrow, everyone will lose their jobs and moments later, this company will be long gone for good. That was a bit disappointing for the gamers in the midst of today's economy.

Scoop: http://kotaku.com/5978866/the-last-days-of-thq

Got the Elan!

Good news! I just got another unicorn at Forza Horizon and this is my sixth out of seven unicorns to collect on Horizon. It was a Lotus Elan! Yippee!!! But wait!!!

Lotus Elan

Turns out the producers gave me two Lotus Elan models but never mind though. It was an Elan Sprint from the 70's. I can turn my backup Elan Sprint into an original Elan S1 at the Paint section. No worries. As of now, I'm all down to the last unicorn on Forza Horizon to get and it was the MX-5 Superlight concept. Let's see what will the producers throw at me next...

...in the meantime...

Oh! And here's a clip of my 1995 Mustang Cobra R on Horizon. Can't believe I put a good use to this old timer against one of the producers of this game... Guess everyone who beaten him gets the Dinos...A Ferrari Dino perhaps...

Sorry if this clip's too dark...

Milky Holmes return for another series!

In addition to the fact that the Milky Holmes girls will be on the Japanese dub for the critically acclaimed My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, I just heard that the Tantei Opera Milky Holmes anime series return for a brand new adventure this summer and the 3rd Milky Holmes anime series will feature new characters; Kazumi and Alice or Arisu (whatever you want to call it), two 12-year-old girls.

It is revealed that Kazumi will be voiced by Aimi Terakawa, who won the open auditions for this role while Bushiroad will have an open audition this February 1st for who will take the role as Arisu.

Forza 4: 2009 Alfa Romeo Brera Italia Independent

Now that's what I call a beautiful view!

The concept version of the Brera, as seen on the 2002 Geneva Motor Show was a rear-wheel drive machine with a 4-litre V8 mounted longitudinally under the hood but for the production model, launched in 2006, it was available in either a front-wheel drive or a four-wheel drive layout along with the choice of two engines; a 2.2L 4-cylinder engine or a 3.2L V6 engine, both come with direct injection. The 3.2 JTS Q4 is the top-of-the-line model for the Brera, developing 256HP of power and all-wheel-drive, making this the choice for car enthusiasts.

The Brera's design was penned by Italdesign Giugiaro, the man behind the looks of historic Alfas such as the Giulia Sprint of the 60's and the Alfetta GT from the 70's. The Brera's design was applied on the 156 in 2003 and the Alfa 159, making it the brand's signature look back then.

2009 sees the arrival of a special Italia Independent model in association with Italia Independent, an Italian design company. Limited to 900 units and named after Alfa Romeo's partner in the venture, the Italia Independent edition of the Brera was offered with opaque-finish "titanium" paintwork, 18" "turbine" style alloy wheels and an aluminium fuel-filler cap.

Production ended in 2010 but remaining stocks continued until it sold out in 2011.

James May drove this one while Jeremy Clarkson's on the Audi TT Mk2 and Richard Hammond in the Mazda RX-8 on the Series 9 Episode 2 of Top Gear where the boys compare the Audi TT, Mazda RX-8 and Alfa Romeo Brera in Scotland.

In case some of you never know what is THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS, it's a social idol-raising game that pits the players as the producer and he/she has over 100 idols to produce. The idea for this social mobile game is to make it to eventually produce a “top idol unit”.

Last year, some of the hundred girls from the CINDERELLA GIRLS social mobile game, with the exception of the main iM@S girls, got a chance to have their own character songs under the CINDERELLA MASTER banner and since April 2012, five Cinderella Girls were selected such as Rin Shibuya, Anzu Futaba, Kanako Mimura, Kaede Takagaki, and Rika Jougasaki. Four months later, the second batch has arrived and these are Ranko Kanzaki, Miku Maekawa, Kirari Moroboshi, Mika Jougasaki, and Uzuki Shimamura.
