NTT IndyCar Series 2025 - Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix

The Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix brought the streets of Detroit to life. Both IMSA and IndyCar were there to put on an exciting show. But, for this article, we will mostly focus on the IndyCar race, where street IndyCar fighting action is at its best.

The first 25 laps of the race saw disasters for both Felix Rosenqvist and Nolan Siegel as both drivers got spun, with the latter being done by Scott McLaughlin, who got slapped with a drive-through penalty for this incident. As Kyle Kirkwood led after 56 laps down in this race, the latter half of the race saw even more misfortunes for Callum Ilott and championship leader Alex Palou, not to mention Louis Foster and Felix Rosenqvist because of suspension issues.

Kyle Kirkwood secured his second IndyCar win after surviving front-end damage during the climax. Santino Ferrucci achieved his first podium finish by placing second, while Colton Herta rounded out the Detroit podium in third.

After Detroit, Alex Palou is still leading with 306 points, while Pato O'Ward in 2nd with 194 points, and Christian Lundgaard is in 3rd with 181 points.

The next race is the Bommarito Automotive Group 500 in St. Louis this June 15th, 2025.

FIA World RX 2025: World RX of Portugal

After the lengthy delays to get the 2025 FIA World Rallycross Championship started due to sponsorship issues, the race is finally on the road, with the FIA taking charge of this sport. The 2025 season kicked off in Lousada for the World RX of Portugal. With only six venues this season, this could be known as the shortest World RX season so far.

Niclas Gronholm claimed victory in Lousada, finishing first. Timmy Hansen took second place, while Ole Christian Veiby secured third. What an exciting way to kickstart the shortest World RX season ever!

The next event is at Holjes for the World RX of Sweden this July 5-6, 2025.

F1 2025: Aramco Gran Premio de España

F1's 75th-anniversary celebrations continue in Catalunya during the Aramco Gran Premio de España. This race was filled with dramatic moments that kept everyone on the edge of their seats. 

Before the race began, Lance Stroll withdrew from the Spanish Grand Prix due to issues with his hand and wrist that required medical attention.

From start to finish, this race is packed with crazy moments such as Kimi Antonelli's mechanical failures that booted him out of the race and the climactic collision between Max Verstappen and George Russell that got the former penalized and demoted to 10th place.

Behind the wild moments, it's another day for McLaren as it delivered another 1-2 finish with Oscar Piastri the winner and Lando Norris the second placer. Ferrari's Charles Leclerc completes the podium in third place.

After the Spanish Grand Prix, the gap between Piastri and Norris is now ten points, 186 v 176, while Max Verstappen is in 3rd with 137.

F1's 75th-anniversary celebrations will continue in Circuit Gilles Villeneuve for the Pirelli Grand Prix du Canada this June 14th, 2025.

ABB FIA Formula E S11 - Shanghai ePrix

China, the global superpower where the first-ever Formula E race was held in 2014. As they are back for the Shanghai ePrix, the teams are ready to demonstrate the full arsenal of the GEN3 EVO machines amid the rainy weather conditions that posed a greater challenge to these machines.

In the first part, DS PENSKE delivered their first 1-2 finish in the GEN3 EVO era with Maximilian Guenther the winner and Jean-Eric Vergne the 2nd placer. McLaren's Taylor Barnard finished 3rd. In the final part, meanwhile, Jaguar driver Nick Cassidy made his comeback win against the two Porsche drivers, Pascal Wehrlein and Antonio Felix Da Costa.

After Shanghai, the two Porsche drivers are tailing Nissan's Oliver Rowland, with Wehrlein 68 points behind Rowland, 171 - 103, and Antonio Felix Da Costa in 3rd with 88 points.

The next race is the Jakarta ePrix this June 21, 2025.

2025 Formula DRIFT Pro Championship - SCORCHED

The streets of Orlando, Florida, are the next stop for the 2025 Formula DRIFT Pro Championship with SCORCHED. The endgame delivered fans an unexpected showdown of unknown proportions.

Two unsung heroes of Formula DRIFT, Hiroya Minowa and Jhonnattan Castro, made it through to the finals. However, in the end, it was just one of those two. The veteran, Aurimas "Odi" Bakchis, ended up in third place. What was the cause of the upset? What went wrong for the veteran? Who knows, but only one was named the winner of the SCORCHED event.

By unanimous decision, Hiroya Minowa made headlines in Orlando as the youngest to win a Formula Drift event at the age of 15.

The next event is at Englishtown, New Jersey, for THE GAUNTLET this June 19-21, 2025.

The #93 Acura Meyer Shank Racing with Curb Agajanian ARX-06, driven by Nick Yelloly and Renger Van Der Zande, emerged as the winner of this Detroit street race. The #64 Ford Multimatic Motorsports Mustang GT3 won the GTD PRO class. This was the Mustang GT3 racing machine's second win.

The next race is the Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen this June 19-22, 2025. The summer racing season in IMSA begins.
