The Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix brought the streets of Detroit to life. Both IMSA and IndyCar were there to put on an exciting show. But, for this article, we will mostly focus on the IndyCar race, where street IndyCar fighting action is at its best.
The first 25 laps of the race saw disasters for both Felix Rosenqvist and Nolan Siegel as both drivers got spun, with the latter being done by Scott McLaughlin, who got slapped with a drive-through penalty for this incident. As Kyle Kirkwood led after 56 laps down in this race, the latter half of the race saw even more misfortunes for Callum Ilott and championship leader Alex Palou, not to mention Louis Foster and Felix Rosenqvist because of suspension issues.
