Hyundai adds Dual Clutch Transmission to the Veloster

2012 Hyundai Veloster

The Hyundai Veloster was launched in March 10, 2011, as well as the debut of Hyundai's new sub-brand, Premium Youth Lab, to cater the interests of young Korean adults. It even landed as the main car of Lee Min Ho in the SBS action drama, City Hunter as well. One major drawback is that production of the 2+1 door hatchback coupe is limited up to 18,000 units to maintain its premium exclusivity.

Guess what, Hyundai just added another variant for the Veloster, first of Hyundai's new Premium Youth Lab sub-brand. This time, the South Korean automaker added a Dual Clutch Transmission under the banner "Hyundai Veloster DCT Pack" for those who think that the automatic transmission variants not good enough.

The first Hyundai ever to be fitted with a 6-speed Double Clutch Transmission engineered from the company itself was actually the Veloster after all! Now, you can enjoy the same great Veloster goodness now with a 6-speed Dual Clutch Transmission! Needless to say that those Paddle Shifters attached on the Veloster's steering wheel looks perfect!

But still, Hyundai Asia Resources would not bring the Veloster yet because our gas is still not as refined as the developing countries. We are salivated over to it. orz

In another Mang Ben on the June 4 episode of Banana Split, Mang Ben sorts out the trash by any means of biodegradable and non-biodegradable. When someone who accompanies the blind man approaches, the blind guy left and Mang Ben gets angry until he hits both the trash bin and got caught by the Metro Aide and the Metro Aide whacked Mang Ben with a broom.

Guess what, look what FASHION PULEZZZ caught this time? They caught some man who wore a checkered polo with something red and white because it matches the most common table cloth design or better worse, picnic blanket. Sorry, you better not wear that kind of polo next time...

I first laid my eyes on the Lotus Carlton by a Playstation2 game titled The Getaway: Black Monday, where the Lotus Carlton was used as a gang car by Viktor Skobel's goons for ambushing main protagonist Eddie O'Connor wherever he goes. I see, this Lotus Carlton was the most murdered-out rides I have ever saw on Black Monday but this gang car used by Skobel's henchmen carried on to some video games, especially Gran Turismo 5 where I am talking about it. So what's a Lotus Carlton?

Making amends at the Top Gear Test Track

The Lotus Carlton was a modified version of the Vauxhall Carlton (Great Britain equivalent of the Opel Omega) 3.0 Si 20V and since its arrival as a 1990 model, it was a huge sensation because this was the fastest super sedan ever made with the collaboration of Vauxhall and Lotus. On the front, you'll see the old Vauxhall logo on while on the side, you'll see some Lotus logos on it (one on the left side and one on the right side). At the back, the words "LOTUS" and "CARLTON" spelled it out. It uses a modified 3.6L 6-cylinder C36GET engine and a 6-speed manual ZF transmission sourced from the old Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. One majestic idea about the Lotus Carlton was it's powered with twin turbos and that makes it one of the most ultimate masterpieces in the past.

In the hands on owner, he/she can murder out with tuning parts and services to bring this murdered-out super saloon up to 700HP of power, 1347kg of weight, and 565 Performance Points. When Traction Control is not an issue, the Carlton is one heck of a wild ride. It's amazing that this was the most sinister-looking ride enthusiasts would ever indulge on it. I am glad when I sit inside the driver seat of the Lotus Carlton, I felt like I'm driving like Viktor Skobel's goons while gunning down Eddie O'Connor. Whoever owns it must have mattered it for some risk-taking procedures. It was the only 4-door sedan that exceeds the limits of the top speed of over 280km/h.

The Royal Society For The Prevention of Accidents called the Lotus Carlton a high speed safety hazard. The Association of Chief Police Officers said about the Lotus Carlton was an outrageous invitation to speed. It even caused a top speed outrage in the 1990's when BMW and Mercedes-Benz decided to limit their high-performance cars to 250km/h of top speed but the Carlton pushed against the barriers of the speed limit. No wonder the Russians on The Getaway: Black Monday, used the Lotus Carlton for ambush purposes against Eddie O'Connor, but enough what I said. The Lotus Carlton was one heck of a collector's item on GT5. You gonna love the way the Lotus Carlton reacts but the reality of being not equipped with TCS and ABS is one heck of a minor drawback but still it's worth a try to master the fastest super saloon that was preferred by the "Thieves In Law" for ambush purposes on Black Monday.

The much-awaited Spark 1.0L

2011 Chevrolet Spark

When the Chevrolet Spark landed in South Korea as a replacement to the GM Daewoo Matiz Creative, as part of replacing the Daewoo name into Chevrolet (and the company name from GM Daewoo Auto and Technology into GM Korea Company), we noticed that they got a 1.0L DOHC engine. Ours got a 1.2L engine, so that makes it "BITIN" for sure.

By special request, a 1.0L DOHC engine is now available for the Chevrolet Spark, The Covenant Car Company said...

FINAL IMPRESSIONS: The term "Anti-Retro" clearly states that the Citroen DS3 is not your average modern hatchback that was designed and engineered in France. Upon its debut at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show and commenced sales since the 1st quarter of 2010, we weren't surprised that this new age hatchback is advanced and its first video game appearance on Forza Motorsport 3 via the World Class Car Pack is something we are salivating at...

Modify it with parts and decorations is a fun factor of DS3 ownership but a little practice goes a long long way. They want to make replicas of the DS3 Racing, DS3 R3, and Sebastien Loeb's DS3 Rally Car but accuracy is a tendency here and that takes to getting used to. Only the DS3 in Forza Motorsport 3 tastes like the DS3 in reality. If it doesn't say "ANTI-RETRO", it's not the Citroen DS3. (Laughing)
