2024 NASCAR Cup Series - Goodyear 400

"Are you not entertained?" That is the question the adverts promoting the Goodyear 400 of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series in Darlington say as this next race will be an entertaining spectacle for NASCAR fans everywhere.

As the green flag waved, the action in Darlington was on. As Kyle Larson dominated Stage 1, Stage 2 saw John Hunter Nemechek spinning at turn 4 on Lap 121, a Lap 129 restart disaster, and a spin by Zane Smith in Lap 163. With Stage 2 belonging to Tyler Reddick, the final stage saw Kyle Busch clipping the wall, and spin by Kyle Larson.

As Chris Buescher and Tyler Reddick got involved in post-race quarreling, Brad Keselowski won the Goodyear 400 of the NASCAR Cup Series!

The next race is at North Wilkesboro for the NASCAR All-Star Race this May 19.

2024 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship - Motul Course de Monterey powered by Hyundai N

 The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship continues in WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca for the Motul Course de Monterey powered by Hyundai N. The world's best GTP, GTD PRO, and GTD class cars are racing on this legendary East Coast racetrack, navigating the most demanding corners, including the infamous Corkscrew. This is a challenging work.

The Porsche 963, fresh from its recent success in a WEC race in Spa, became a lucky machine for that race weekend as the #6 Porsche Penske Motorsport 963 of Mathieu Jaminet and Nick Tandy emerged victorious at Laguna Seca. Its #7 counterpart finished 3rd, behind the #31 Whelen Cadillac Racing Cadillac V-LMDh. In the GTD PRO, the #77 AO Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R (992), famous for its Rexy livery, is the winner, while the GTD class belongs to the #57 Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3.

The next IMSA event is the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix this May 31 to June 1st.

ABB FIA Formula E S10 - Berlin ePrix

Formula E's 10th-anniversary celebration continues in the Berlin Tempelhof for the Berlin ePrix. Because this track gained a new layout for this season, drivers are striving to accommodate themselves in this new version while doing what they do best; battle for the championship.

The first part saw the Jaguar driver Nick Cassidy nail his second win of the season while beating the likes of two-time world champion Jean-Eric Vergne and Nissan driver Oliver Rowland. In the final part, meanwhile, Antonio Felix Da Costa is back in victory lane as he defeats Cassidy and Rowland at the finish line.

After Berlin, Cassidy leads with 140 points, 16 points ahead of Wehrlein, and Rowland is in 3rd with 118 points.

The next event of Formula E's 10th-anniversary celebration goes back to where it all began; China. This time, Formula E invades the streets of Shanghai for the Shanghai ePrix this May 25-26.

WRC 2024: Vodafone Rally de Portugal

The 2024 World Rally Championship continues with the Vodafone Rally de Portugal as drivers are going all-out to beat the scorcher of a gravel fest, especially a heated rivalry between Kalle Rovanpera and Sebastien Ogier, who just recently received the Legion of Honour medal from French President Emmanuel Macron last week.

Having proved that Dani Sordo is not out of the game following his Shakedown performance, Thierry Neuville claims early advantage while Takamotor Katsuta tops mid-way, Elfyin Evan's co-driver relying on a cellphone for call notes, and Kalle Rovanpera leads after Friday stages. As disaster hit the leading Toyota drivers, it became an opportunity for Sebastien Ogier to storm his way to the lead.

After a dramatic weekend in Portugal, Sebastien Ogier became the first to achieve six Vodafone Rally de Portugal victories after winning at the rate of 3:41:32.3, 7.9 seconds ahead of Hyundai driver Ott Tanak. Thierry Neuville completes the podium with a third-place finish.

The next event is the Rally Italia Sardegna this May 30th.

NTT IndyCar Series 2024 - Sonsio Grand Prix

May is the biggest month of the year for IndyCar racing. That's because it's the month of the Indy 500. Before that, the drivers get warmed up on the road course at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, where the Indy 500 is held, for the Sonsio Grand Prix.

The 85-lap road course action in IMS begins with the chaos that sent five cars going off-course followed by heavy contact between Colton Herta and Marcus Ericsson. A lap later, Romain Grosjean went off-track during his attack on Santino Ferucci. Lap 20 saw Will Power performing a decent attack on Alex Palou for P10.

Halfway through the race, Alexander Rossi is leading with Fittipaldi and McLaughlin hunting him down. As numerous drivers pitted themselves on Lap 63, Lap 65 saw a caution triggered when Luca Ghiotto spun. With the race having 17 laps to go, Alex Palou tried to fend Will Power and Christian Lundgaard off while in the lead but a lap later saw Josef Newgarden and Jack Harvey colliding while Rasmussen went off track.

The Sonsio Grand Prix in IMS Road Course ends with Alex Palou nailing his 10th career victory after beating the likes of Will Power and Christian Lundgaard.

Post-race, Palou leads with 152 points, 12 points ahead of Will Power, while Scott Dixon is in 3rd with 127 points.

FIA WEC S12 - TotalEnergies 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps

The 12th season of the FIA World Endurance Championship continues with the most grueling take on Spa Day, the TotalEnergies 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. From intense clashes to horrifying crashes, this endurance race brought an extremely new meaning to Spa Day.

For the first time ever since the beginning of the Hypercar era of WEC, a privateer Hypercar-class team took the checkered flag as the #12 Hertz Team JOTA 963 brought down the #6 Porsche Penske 963 and the #50 Ferrari AF Corse 499P to win the TotalEnergies 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. In the LMGT3 class, meanwhile, the #91 Manthey EMA 911 GT3R is the winner, beating the likes of the #92 Manthey PureRXCing 911 GT3R and the #60 Iron Lynx Huracan LMGT3 Evo2.

After Spa, Porsche leads the Hypercar class with 38 points, 15 points ahead of Toyota Gazoo Racing. In the LMGT3 class, meanwhile, the #91 Manthey PureRXCing leads with 38 points.

The next event is the greatest endurance race of all, the 2024 24 Hours of Le Mans. It's happening this June 12th. Don't miss it!

2024 NASCAR Cup Series - AdventHealth 400

As Miami got stuffed with the F1 race, it was time to head 1530 miles to Kansas City for the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series with the AdventHealth 400 in Kansas Speedway.

After a lengthy delay, the green flag was waved and the action in Kansas was on. As Denny Hamlin won Stage 1, Chris Buescher won Stage 2, and the final stage saw Jimmie Johnson crash into the outside wall on Lap 176, triggering a chain reaction that caught Corey LaJoie, Austin Hill, and three others, followed by Harrison Burton spinning on the backstretch on Lap 192, and spin by Kyle Busch on Lap 261.

In the final lap, Kyle Larson and Chris Buescher clashed for the win and it ended on a dead heat at a rate of 0.001 seconds, the closest in NASCAR history. After the closest look at the closest NASCAR photo finish, it's official. Kyle Larson wins the AdventHealth400 of the NASCAR Cup Series!

The next race is at Darlington Raceway for the Goodyear 400 this May 12.

F1 2024: Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix

The F1 '24 season continues in the streets of Miami, Florida for the Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix and this race delivered the biggest upset of the season.

As the lights went off, the action in Miami was underway. Max Verstappen, who won the F1 Sprint race, leads and he was nearly hit by Sergio Perez. As Oscar Piastri made four overtakes on Lap 4 to reach P2, Lap 6 saw Lewis Hamilton slip through  Nico Hulkenberg for P7, only to be regained by the latter. 

As the action heats up, Lap 21 saw trouble for Verstappen as he unintentionally cut corners and therefore pitted for new tires, a chance for Oscar Piastri to jump through the lead. As Piastri leads in Lap 28, he drops to P3 and Lando Norris jumps to P1, meanwhile, the first caution was triggered when Hulkenberg sent homegrown hero Logan Sargent out of the race.

Lando Norris got what he deserved; his first-ever F1 career win. He beat Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc to claim his maiden victory, becoming the 21st British winner on McLaren's 110th F1 start.

After Miami, Verstappen leads with 136 points while Sergio Perez is in 2nd with 103 points, and Charles Leclerc is in 3rd with 98 points.

The next race is the MSC Cruises Gran Premio del Made in Italy E Dell'Emilia-Romagna on May 19th, 2024.

F1 Academy 2024 - Miami

The 2024 F1 Academy season continues in Miami and this two-part race set before the F1 '24's Miami Grand Prix delivered some pre-race big news.

Effective throughout the 2024 season, American Express was named the sponsor of the F1 Academy. With that, the famous credit card brand joins the F1 Academy grid with Jessica Edgar as its driver. Also, a Netflix docuseries highlighting the 2024 season of F1 Academy is coming next year.

Courtney Crone was named the Wildcard entry sponsoring QVC for the Miami race weekend,

Abbi Pulling, the Rodin Motorsport driver representing Alpine, swept the entire F1 Academy Miami weekend. The first part saw former W Series driver Chloe Chambers, representing Haas and Campos Racing, taste her first F1 Academy podium by placing 3rd. In contrast, Mercedes/PREMA driver Doriane Pin finished 2nd, and the second part saw Bianca Bustamante, the Filipina driver representing McLaren and ART Grand Prix finish 2nd ahead of Pin.

The next event will be in Barcelona on June 21-23, 2024.

Autobacs Super GT 2024 Series Round 2

It's May the 4th, which is known as Star Wars Day and also the penultimate day of this year's Golden Week, and the Autobacs Super GT 2024 Series with its second round in Fuji Speedway as the cars are wrapping up Golden Week with a golden opportunity of Super GT action.

A 1-2 finish for the Nissan Fairlady Z RZ34 GT500 cars with the #3 Niterra Motul Z the winner and the #23 MOTUL AUTECH Z the second placer while the #17 Astemo CIVIC TYPE R-GT finished 3rd, the first podium finish for the new CIVIC TYPE R-GT racer. In the GT300 class, meanwhile, the #88 JLOC Lamborghini GT3 is the winner, while the #56 Realize Nissan Mechanic Challenge GT-R finished 2nd and the #52 Green Brave GR Supra GT finished 3rd.

The next round will be in Suzuka Circuit this June 2nd.

2024 NASCAR Cup Series - Würth 400

The Monster Mile returns to life as the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series continues in Dover, Delaware for the Würth 400.

As the green flag waved, the action at the Monster Mile was on. The first stage saw Todd Gilliand spinning on the front stretch and getting door-to-door with Austin Dillon on Lap 39 followed by Brad Keselowski spinning from 13th in turn 2 with a flat rear tire. As Martin Truex Jr. wins Stage 1, Stage 2 goes to Kyle Larson, and the final stage saw a spin by Ricky Stenhouse Jr. on Lap 321, followed by a restart disaster triggered by Bubba Wallace eight laps later.

After all the action in Dover, Denny Hamlin wins the Würth 400 of the NASCAR Cup Series!

The next race is in Kansas for the AdventHealth 400 this May 5th.

NTT IndyCar Series 2024 - Children's of Alabama Indy Grand Prix

The 2024 NTT IndyCar Series continues in Alabama's Barber Motorsport Park for the Children's of Alabama Indy Grand Prix.

The race kicked off with Sting Ray Robb and Jack Harvey slipping but still standing, followed by Colton Herta colliding with Santino Ferruci and Pato O'Ward went off track on Lap 2. Lap 6 saw Pietro Fittipaldo get crashed by O'Ward while Lap 18 saw Scott Dixon run off-track and fall back. Lap 33 saw Marcus Armstrong colliding with Josef Newgarden. On Lap 52, a mannequin fell on a track and got hit by a passing race car. No one knows what that is.

Lap 55 saw Sting Ray Robb crash to the barriers, and with the race having five laps to go, Christian Rasmussen spun but was still standing.

From crashes, collisions, and a collapsed mannequin, the Children's of Alabama Indy Grand Prix ended with Scott McLaughlin taking the win while Will Power finished 2nd and Linus Lundqvist finished 3rd.

After Alabama, Colton Herta and Will Power are now a point apart, 101 vs 100, while Alex Palou's in third with 98 points.

May is Indy 500 month and the campaign begins with the Sonsio Grand Prix at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course this May 11th.

DTM 2024: Oschersleben

2024 marks the DTM's 40th anniversary and the celebration begins with a two-part season opener in Oschersleben. 

For the 2024 season, McLaren enters the fray with the 720S GT3 EVO, making it the second British carmaker to challenge the DTM since Aston Martin's short-lived campaign with the now-defunct R-Motorsport.

With the world's best drivers and GT3 machines assembled, DTM's 40th anniversary celebration has officially begun.

In the first part, Emil Frey driver Jack Aitken drew first blood for the 2024 season with a win against SSR's Mirko Bortolotti, and ABT Sportsline's Ricardo Feller. In the latter part, meanwhile, Luca Engstler pinned down two Mercedes-AMG GT3 drivers Maro Engel and Luca Stolz for the win.

The next event will be in Dekra Lausitzring this May 23-26.

ABB FIA Formula E S10 - Monaco ePrix

Formula E's 10th-anniversary celebration continues in the streets of Monaco. Before the race, the world witnessed the improved version of the current GEN 3 race car, called GEN 3 EVO. The newly improved machine is capable of hitting 0-60mph in 1.82 seconds and it's set to make its debut in the 2025 season.

After the world premiere of the GEN 3 EVO, the Monaco ePrix kicked off with Mitch Evans taking the lead, a disaster for Jake Dennis and Nico Mueller, and Oliver Rowland's bold moves to sum it up.

Jaguar ended the Monaco bout with a 1-2 finish with Mitch Evans the winner and Nick Cassidy the second placer. DS driver Stoffel Vandoorne completes the podium with a third-place finish.

After Monaco, Pascal Wehrlein leads with 102 points, seven points ahead of Nick Cassidy, while Jake Dennis is in third with 89 points.

The next race is the Berlin ePrix this May 11-12.

2024 NASCAR Cup Series - GEICO 500

Talladega Superspeedway is the next stop for the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series with the GEICO 500. From start to finish, the insanity and chaos in store during the race are textbook NASCAR stuff.

As the green flag waved, the action in 'Dega is on. Stage 1 saw BJ McLeod get into the wall from the lead and forced to pit by himself on Lap 40, followed by Denny Hamlin spinning on Lap 44, entering the pits with the other Toyota drivers. As Austin Cindric won Stage 1, Stage 2 saw some bold moves from Shane Van Gisbergen's oval race debut, and with Joey Logano winning Stage 2, the final stage saw chaos with Christopher Bell spinning at the stack-up on Lap 134, followed by Erik Jones, Denny Hamlin, and Bubba Wallace got caught in a Lap 157 incident.

As Michael McDowell's final lap incident caused Josh Berry and Corey La Joie caught in a climactic multi-car crash, Tyler Reddick wins the GEICO 500 of the NASCAR Cup Series! A win for 23XI Racing and the new Toyota stock car!

The next race is at Dover Motor Speedway for the Würth 400 this April 28th.

NTT IndyCar Series 2024 - Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach

Long Beach shifted into another race weekend frenzy with IndyCar and IMSA. With IMSA's Long Beach campaign done, it's now the turn of IndyCar to make some noise.

As the green flag waved, the IndyCar action in Long Beach was in full swing. However, in Lap 4, Alexander Rossi went to the pits too early due to a left rear issue, probably getting hit by Pato O'Ward. As O'Ward got a drive-through penalty in Lap 10, Lap 15 saw Christian Rasmussen crash, triggering a caution.

As the race restarts in Lap 20, Josef Newgarden's in the lead while Marcus Ericsson and Colton Herta are catching up. Lap 51 saw some pitstop drama for Graham Rahal due to refueling issues, costing his race. With 13 laps to go, as Scott Dixon leads, Newgarden and Herta are hounding on Dixon. With 8 laps to go, Colton Herta made contact with Josef Newgarden from behind.

The intense street racing action in Long Beach ends with Scott Dixon claiming his 57th career win in IndyCar, beating the likes of Colton Herta and Alex Palou.

After Long Beach, Newgarden leads with 87 points, 12 points ahead of Dixon, while Herta is in 3rd with 72 points.

The next race is the Children's of Alabama Indy Grand Prix at Barber Motorsports Park this April 28th.

FIA WEC S12 - 6 Hours of Imola

The 12th season of the FIA World Endurance Championship continues with the 6 Hours of Imola as drivers and machines from Hypercar and LMGT3 classes are locked in a hellish 6-hour clash in Italy's most notorious but legendary racetrack.

It's redemption time for Toyota Gazoo Racing as the #7 TOYOTA GAZOO RACING GR010 of Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi, and Nyck De Vries wins the 6 Hours of Imola endurance race, beating the two Porsche machines in it. The #31 TEAM WRT M4 GT3 of Darren Leung, Sean Gelael, and Augusto Farfus wins the LMGT3 class.

The next race is the TotalEnergies 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps this May 9th.

WRC 2024: Croatia Rally

The 2024 World Rally Championship continues with the Croatia Rally and what a rally event it is. The situations between rally stages and car conditions truly turn the tide of the battle.

As Sebastien Ogier's comeback became promising in the shakedown, Thierry Neuville fought through the lead and managed to dominate almost the entire weekend, even with heated clashes with Elfyn Evans, until in the climax, Neuville and Evans going out of bounds gave Ogier a chance to slip into the lead.

Sebastien Ogier won the Croatia Rally at a rate of 2:40.23.6, 9.7 seconds ahead of Evans while Neuville finished in 3rd.

The next event is the Vodafone Rally de Portugal this May 9-12.

2024 Repco Supercars Championship - ITM Taupō Super400

The 2024 Repco Supercars Championship knocked on Taupō's door for the first-ever ITM Taupō Super400 at the Taupō International Motorsport Park. A new Kiwi track roars to life with the sounds of American V8 muscle cars clashing like warriors.

The first part saw Andre Heimgartner defeating the two Shell V-Power Mustang drivers Will Davison and Anton De Pasquale to win the first part while the second part saw a 1-2 finish for the Red Bull Ampol team with Will Brown the winner and Broc Feeney the second placer.

After Supercars' first-ever Taupō race weekend, Will Brown leads with 809 points while Feeney is 71 points behind Brown.

The next event is the Bosch Power Tools Perth SuperSprint this May 16-19.

F1 2024: Lenovo Chinese Grand Prix

After a five-year hiatus due to the COVID pandemic aftermath, Formula 1 returns to Shanghai for the Lenovo Chinese Grand Prix. For Sauber driver Zhou Guanyu, it's a dream come true to race in his homeland, but for Max Verstappen, it's like another day for him.

Verstappen's off to a strong start as the race began while Fernando Alonso stormed past Sergio Perez for P2. It went well until in Lap 20, a yellow flag was triggered when Valtteri Bottas suffered from engine failure and retired.

As the race restarts on Lap 27, another disaster occurred when Kevin Magnussen sent Yuki Tsunoda spinning and Daniel Ricciardo collided with Lance Stroll.

After five laps of yellow alert, the race resumes. Logan Sargeant, Lance Stroll, and Kevin Magnussen were slapped with a 10-second penalty for Sargeant causing a Safety Car infringement, and the latter two drivers causing a collision. As the race nears its climax, the drivers are going all-out.

In the end, it's a first win in China for the three-time world champion Verstappen as he beats Lando Norris and Sergio Perez towards victory lane.

After Shanghai, Verstappen leads with 110 points while Sergio Perez is in 2nd with 85 points and Charles Leclerc is in 3rd with 76 points.

The next race of the 2024 Formula 1 season will be the Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix this May 5.
