GT SPORT: Supra is Back!

The Toyota Supra has been one of the most dominant Japanese sports cars in history ever since the A70 model replaced the Celica XX and carried on with the last Supra they ever made, the A80.

Following the Supra's discontinuation in 2002, Toyota enthusiasts from all over the world are flapping their gums about its worthy successor until the time has finally arrived to witness the return of the legendary nameplate that has been part of every speedo boys' hearts and minds for several years.

The Supra is back! The Sports of Toyota has returned for the new generation of car enthusiasts and you can drive it exclusively on Gran Turismo Sport!

The revived Sports of Toyota is called the GR Supra and it's made in collaboration with Toyota Gazoo Racing and BMW. Why the partnership? Because the new model shares the same components as BMW's newest sportscar as well as the engines with the top spec RZ variant carrying a 3.0L BMW TwinPower Turbo engine producing 340PS of power and 500Nm of torque while mated to an 8-speed Steptronic gearbox.

Despite the Bavarian connection, the Toyota GR Supra is a world-class sportscar that uses all of Toyota's motorsports know-how to deliver dynamics on par with the world's best sportscars. With its high structural rigidity, low centre of gravity, and near-perfect weight distribution, not to mention the specifically tuned suspension setup Toyota commissioned for this car, the GR Supra truly is a driver's car that will truly keep them hooked for longer.

Being one of the happiest people to experience the GR Supra on GT SPORT, it's hard to fathom why this game is a saving grace for Toyota road cars judging by the fact that today's racing games shutting their doors on Toyota road cars in the wake of Porsche's freedom of appearance but never mind about that because now that the new Supra's here on GT SPORT, the joy of experiencing the revived legend is finally on our hands and although a bit twitchy on the first try, I can really get hooked on the new Supra for as long as I like.

Letting the 3.0L BMW TwinPower Turbo engine roar, poke its tail like a blooded samurai, experiencing its relatively superior dynamics, these are the things I learned mostly from my first bite of the new GR Supra and between you and me, this really is as sharp as a Feather Blade, the one thing to confuse the millennials nowadays.

Speaking of which, it's time to learn if the GR Supra learned much from its predecessors, I went to Autopolis and summoned its predecessors to see how much the revived GR Supra has progressed despite being made by the Europeans.

The GR Supra is now pitted alongside the A70 and the A80 Supras at Autopolis for a quick history lesson and see if how much of a Supra has gained following its 17-year absence from the Toyota lineup, although I'm not happy about the arrangement. Roll the tape.

At the end of their run, it's time for the results...

A70 - 2:23.424
A80 - 2:17.142
A90 - 2:15.963

17 years of void and this is the endgame. The GR Supra is slightly better than the A80 Supra it succeeded and looks like Toyota's on the roll now for making great cars even better.

The GR Supra is a worthy comeback the world's waiting for after 17 years and serves as the last bastion for the fun-to-drive cars that will soon to become endangered species for the next generation of motoring because of technology-induced chaos.

For most enthusiasts who had their final say on sportscars, the GR Supra is the car above all sportscars because this is car they will value more than even the most expensive European sportscars ever made and even though its not as fast as the most expensive ones in the market today, the GR Supra is worthy of becoming the people's champion on its own.

Whether you like it or not, the GR Supra doesn't raise the bar for sportscars because It IS the bar and the only way to experience it on the virtual world is on GT SPORT. You'd should thank them for providing first access to this car before it hits showrooms later in the spring so enjoy driving the revived Supra anytime.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

In the not too distant past, there was once an old game called Tenchu where players take control of the ninja assassins blending through feudal Japan with numerous weapons and ninja moves while letting players eliminate enemies with stealth and precision. It was one hell of a classic but now it's been long forgotten through the years so the folks from Activision contacted From Software to tell them "can you make a video game that is worthy of being a spiritual successor to the Tenchu games?"

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice (PS4)
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice (Xbox One)

And this is what they made, it's titled Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and this new action game made by the brilliant minds that brought you Dark Souls where players assume the role of a disgraced and disfigured shinobi who is bound to protect his new master in the middle of a bloody Sengoku era in Japan. Armed with a prosthetic arm and an arsenal of weapons at his disposal, The Wolf takes on numerous enemies including the Ashina Clan as he fights to reclaim his honor.

Because the main character has a prosthetic arm, the way he battles changes when equipped with numerous weapons and tools at his disposal and because different enemies need different strategies to defeat, it takes a master shinobi to master all weapons and tools to turn the table to his favor. Offense or defense, it's all about the strategy you need to overcome against approaching threats and obstacles getting your way. Apart from brutal close combats, there are times where stealth is the key, either killing them undetected or spying for useful information, stealth is the key factor for a shinobi.

As the game gets tougher, there are times that your weapons and tools can be upgraded after accumulating certain amount of items needed. You can even upgrade your prosthetic arm as well to gain new skills so before heading off for more difficult missions, it's best to upgrade whatever you had to make sure you still had the upper hand.

Having getting a taste of the ninja action Sekiro possess, it's hard to say whether if this game really is the spiritual successor to the Tenchu games that time forgot but on the positive note, it really is and with all of the brutal stealth action reminiscent of the Tenchu games, Sekiro truly lives up to its mantra and From Software did a really good job creating a game that is very challenging and very rewarding just like its past works. It truly is a balls-out action game worthy of such praise and those looking for some gory ninja action should look no further.

Devil May Cry 5

The devil you know is back as Capcom's long-dormant Devil May Cry franchise has been reawakened with a long-awaited sequel fans have been demanding for ages as all hell breaks loose once again in the newest chapter of the DmC franchise where new and returning characters are taking on the big city ravaged by demons.

Devil May Cry 5 (PS4)

In this long awaited sequel of the DmC franchise, Devil May Cry 5 welcomes players to a demon-ravaged Red Grave City where the fate of the metropolis rests on three playable characters; Nero, Dante, and the mysterious new character named V.

These three playable characters take a lot of time mastering by yourselves because of the different skills they posses. Nero, who lost his right arm from the previous story and replaced with a mechanical one, wields weapons such as the Red Queen sword and the Blue Rose revolver while taking advantage of his new Devil Breaker attacks that will turn the tide to his favor. The original DmC hero Dante, meanwhile, is back for more, dishing out his classic weapons, moves, and his Devil Trigger attacks. The new character V takes a lot of time to learn how to master because he only fights with his demon familiars such as Shadow and Griffon.

The great thing with this game that everyone can be part of the action thanks to its Shared Single Play system. When connected online, you can experience the full action of DmC5 while teaming up with other players online for a more enjoyable feel. Whether if you are dealing with a horde of demons or powerful bosses, regardless of which difficulty you're on, rest assured that it's better to play as a group if you really need it.

Believe it or not, throughout the game, you can collect Red Orbs that will allow you to earn new and powerful skills. If you got some new skills, why not try it at the Void before setting off in real combat? As the opposition gets even harder to beat, rest assured that you'd need to be prepared with some new skills that will help you get through even the most difficult challenges ahead.

Oh, while you were pulling off some killer moves, why not take a good photo of it by using Photo Mode at the pause menu?

With Devil May Cry 5 finally raised hell once again, the stylish hack-and-slash action adventure game is back with a bloody vengeance and with its metropolis setting, three playable characters, online co-op, and some mad skills to learn, this is becoming to be the best DmC game in ages and with that, there's no argument for that.

GT SPORT: Sung Kang's Fugu Z

Did you know that when Fast and Furious alum Sung Kang had nothing to do in his spare time, he enlisted help from GReddy, one of the aftermarket brands known to speedo boys many, to make an S30Z that became the winner of the Gran Turismo Award at the SEMA Show a few years ago? So what is it then this Fugu Z?

That question can only be answered by the man behind the Fugu Z build but for starters, the Fast and Furious alum wanted to make an S30Z that woos not just the SEMA crowd but also on social media. Sung Kang enlisted his friends from Rocket Bunny and GReddy USA for this operation.

Miura-san provided the body kit for the S30Z, which is somewhat rather unique because the Rocket Bunny kit for the S30Z can bear resemblance to the Wangan Midnight hero car, the Devil Z, but this is no devil here. After all, onto the engine part, the Fugu Z's 2.6L RB six-cylinder engine had its turbochargers stripped out, which is a bit of a challenge because naturally aspirated cams don't exist on an engine like this.

After their challenging engine build, the Rocket Bunny-kitted S30Z was painted in Kilimanjaro White, then the interior was revised with new parts, and the suspension's optimized to make sure it wouldn't damage the Rocket Bunny kit because of the fat Nitto tires.

The main result is a 290hp JDM wonder that became the talk of the town among speedo boys everywhere while the Fast and Furious alum deserves all the credit behind the Fugu Z and while this is basically a work in progress, it's time for me to find out how the Fugu Z was made for and with that, I went to Willow Springs.

A car that produces less than three hundred horses through the rear wheels, made by Han from the Fast and Furious films and friends, getting behind the wheel of the Fugu Z really puts between the scale of standard and challenging and if I have to describe the experience with it, I bet that it's in the boundary between sweet and spicy. At first, it feels so normal to drive but when the corners kick in, that's where the challenging part shifts it takes a lot of skill to get back on track but because it produces a modest amount of power, there are no problems with it. It's just you, the driver, and the car getting to know each other.

Speaking of which, care to guess what I did with it? If so, let's roll the tape.

The Fugu Z is the dream car Sung Kang envisioned to deliver his Fast and Furious antics to the motoring world and such a creation really appeals to speedo boys everywhere. Although it is near perfection, the Fugu Z is a worthy driver's car that charms through various roads and tracks like an ideal JDM masterpiece. It's no wonder why it won the GT Award at the SEMA Show and got landed in GT SPORT but anyway, let's leave it here because words aren't enough to express the Fugu Z's uniqueness and driving is the only way to get to know this car more. That is the bottom line.

Anthem (game)

As EA cashed themselves to success with their recent free-to-play APEX Legends battle royale game made by the minds from the Titanfall games, there's more tricks from their sleeves as they teamed up with Mass Effect developer Bioware to create a new generation of multiplayer action co-op gaming that will surely become the newest favorite of the year. It's time to stand up for Anthem, a new kind of action co-op experience.

Anthem (PS4)
Anthem (XBOX One)

Injecting their winning formula from their award-winning Mass Effect games to the new breed of co-op action video game experience, Anthem pits gamers to the role of the Freelancer as they will venture through the vast, ever-changing world with unpredictable conditions, hazards, and enemies along the way.

As a Freelancer, you can play as one of the four customizable javelin classes to master, each will play a crucial role to your team. The Ranger is the well-balanced of the four while the Colossus  is all about power when you need to crush hard enemies. The Interceptor is the fastest while the Storm is all about delivering long-range attacks. Getting to know these javelins is hard on the first try but since this is a co-op game, you and your mates can put the javelins of your choosing to good use in various missions. Not only teamwork that will make the Anthem experience easier but also more fun to enjoy this game as much as you want.

With its enjoyable co-op experience that is set to become the new standard of co-op action RPG gaming, Anthem is surely the must-play action game to rise above the the rest as long as you are taking online gaming responsibly because of the budget restraints for annual online memberships on your XBOX One and PS4 as well as unpausable moments that made players put this game first before anything else. Personal experience but you'll get the point.

It's time to all rise for Anthem.

JUMP FORCE

In celebration of Shonen Jump comics' 50th anniversary, Bandai Namco brought us their most ambitious crossover video game that brings all of the Jump heroes we grew up watching them as worlds collide and it's up to the Shonen Jump heroes to save the day, including you. Welcome to JUMP FORCE.

JUMP FORCE

All of our favorite action anime heroes joined forces in the most ambitious anime fighting game which is as infinite as the Infinity War without all of the endgame involved, almost. JUMP FORCE brings all of the heroes and villains from the Shonen Jump comics into one epic fighting game where worlds collide. From Dragon Ball Z, Naruto, Hunter X Hunter, One Piece, Yu Yu Hakusho, Bleach, Rurouni Kenshin, almost all of the best from the Shonen Jump comics have been gathered to experience the full-blown power of what JUMP FORCE can do.

While this is basically a fighting game, JUMP FORCE is unlike every other fighting game we knew about because you can control your character all around the battleground, giving them plenty of ways to strike your rivals hard. It sounds enjoyable but it takes a lot of practice to get used to this fighting game's mechanics because the manliest of the men are going to play for glory rather than for fun and that is the Jump way. It's all about the glory and nothing else about it. Still, it works as a great party game with your mates because it can be played with two players.

To get yourself to the full JUMP FORCE experience, players can get into Story Mode and create their own character to jump into the action. There are various missions to take from the Umbra Space and if you keep succeeding, you'll earn some allowances to buy some new outfits, items, and skills at the Shop Counter. This is one way to get to know about the Jump universe by yourself.

If you think you had enough fun with JUMP FORCE, stick with it because there will be more Shonen Jump characters coming in the game very soon and if you purchased the Character Pass, you will gain access to nine playable characters when released.

Five decades of Shonen Jump gave rise to the most hardcore anime shows we grew up with, whether you spent your weeknights watching them do their Super Saiyan stuff, coming home from school to see Naruto doing the Rasenggan or Luffy going treasure hunting, this is how the magic of Jump does to our childhood and with JUMP FORCE, our childhood memories just got over 9000%. It really is a celebration of what happens when our childhood heroes unite to fight.

Catherine Full Body

The cult classic puzzle game Catherine brought the meaning of masculinity to a terrifying new level as players pit on the role of Vincent Brooks, a man cursed by the Woman's Wrath and climbs his way to survive the nightmares of his masculinity torn by two women, one's named Katherine McBride and the other's named, you guessed it, Catherine. With Valentine's Day here, the game that ruined masculinity is back with a twist and everything you know about the story of Catherine has changed.

Catherine Full Body

Catherine Full Body brings a terrifying new twist on the unconventional romantic horror we are familiar with as well as the puzzles to climb your way to freedom. Players will return to the story of Vincent Brooks, an earnest and kind man with a certain curse who has a terrifying week. He keeps seeing those terrifying nightmares all because of the women that tore his life apart. Since this is the Full Body version, not only Vincent will ran into his love interest Katherine McBride and the mysterious young woman named Catherine, but this fresh new rewrite introduces a new, mysterious character goes by the name of, ahem, Qatherine or Rin for short. How the story goes and ends is all up to you.

The gameplay fans are familiar with has been rewritten as well and those who are unfamiliar with the game are introduced with the new Safety difficulty setting. This very easy setting allows first-timers to keep playing without getting Game Over as well as undo several times and engage Auto-Play. Apart from the new setting, players can play in either Standard or Arrange. The Standard mode lets players familiar with the Catherine game play classic puzzles while the Arrange mode features new and terrifying ways to survive. There are over 500 ways to play Catherine Full Body, so don't be shy.

If you had fun revisiting the story of Catherine, you can challenge everyone in a two-player mode, either local or online, versus or co-op, whatever you want if you got the balls to climb your way to the top faster than everyone else in the world.

At launch, the full Catherine experience gets expanded with numerous DLCs such as additional playable characters and several voices for Catherine. If you bought the Dynamite Full Body BOX set, you get early access to the Nero glass DLC apart from all of the goodies you got from the box set. Come end of February, you can play as Joker from Persona 5 as a DLC character.

This terrifying rewrite to the 2011 cult classic puzzle game wants new and returning players to see if they have the balls to take on the Woman's Wrath once again while making the most crucial choice to see if they are man enough for their relationships. The original Catherine had shook everyone's feet with their terrifying puzzles to solve and this Full Body version made it even more terrifying but downright humorous in a dark comic matter and whether if you are familiar with this game or those who want to try it in the first place should consider this game worth the shot.

BIOHAZARD RE:2

The start of 1998 saw Capcom terrifying gamers worldwide with BIOHAZARD (Resident Evil) 2, the sequel of the 1996 hit survival horror game that sparked a new genre of survival horror gaming, and fans will never forget the struggle of surviving the zombie-infested Raccoon City from beginning to end as Leon S. Kennedy or Claire Redfield. Two decades later, the nightmare of Raccoon City haunts back to the new generation of gamers as the remake of the 1998 sequel, titled BIOHAZARD RE:2, promises to be as scary as the 1998 original but with menacing twists in store for those who want to reminisce the horror or experience it for the first time.

BIOHAZARD RE:2

From its memorable characters, terrifying zombies and BOWs, and puzzle-solving scenarios, it's no wonder why the folks from CAPCOM decided to bring back BIOHAZARD 2 in a new and even more terrifying remake that what makes this survival horror masterpiece a global phenomenon. Like the original, players will venture the nightmarish Raccoon City as both Leon and Claire. Of course, no matter which character you're playing, this game is played by two sides. For instance, you'll start at Side A as Leon and then move on to Side B as Claire. Simple as that.

The remake uses the tried and tested formula from 2017's Biohazard 7 -resident evil-, which is by no means one of the most terrifying survival horror games of this generation, but they made it even more fluid. Back at being a third-person perspective, players can really see how the characters interact by all means necessary. This remade really means something.

For longtime Biohazard players, it's ideal to know that survival is their responsibility. Fighting against a horde of zombies sounds convincing but in times where ammo is scarce, such tactics won't work and how you will survive the nightmare is completely up to you. Same thing goes to the healing items such as herbs and first aid sprays.

What's new in this remake is the subweapons feature which makes them come in handy while facing off against creatures. The combat knife sure comes it handy but use with caution because by the time you are attacking with it, it might worn out. Apart from the combat knife, there are other subweapons you can use such as flash grenades to blind creatures, giving you time to get away. Apart from subweapons, you might come through planks of wood, which is essential if you don't want zombies breaching through the window.

Little did you know that just like in the original, you can unlock extra games just by finishing the game in both Leon and Claire's sides? First up, there's The 4th Survivor where players navigate Hunk to the extraction point. Second, and weirdly, there's The Tofu Survivor. You probably already know how to unlock these extra modes by now.

When the original Biohazard 2 launched in the start of 1998, this sequel catapulted the Biohazard franchise into a global phenomenon and with the arrival of 2019's RE:2, fans can't wait to return to the horrors of Raccoon City, which became the turning point of the franchise. If you had a death wish, be prepared to pick up this copy right now and survive like it's 1998. Good luck.

Spyro: Reignited Trilogy
(XBOX ONE)

Spyro: Reignited Trilogy brings back the iconic little purple dragon back into modern-day consoles such as the Playstation4 and the XBOX One, making rookie and veteran gamers remembering the good old days where they burn enemies, saving dragons, tirelessly chasing down egg thieves (which is exhausting even by today), outsmart boss characters, everything that makes Spyro one of the best adventure games in ages.

Three classic games have been reignited for today's generation such as the original Spyro The Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon. All of the familiar worlds, all of the memorable characters and enemies, it's all there as far as your childhood memory can remember you. Most can give you some laughs, most can make your feet crawl, most can infuriate more for repeats, but either way, these three remastered games are here to play and with numerous trophies/achievements to win, there are plenty of reasons to get back with your childhood video game for more.

So, if you enjoyed last year's Crash Bandicoot remaster, you are going to love this Spyro remaster more because between you and me, it's an honor to see our favorite fire-spitting little hero back and here to stay.

Soul Calibur VI

The Soul series from Bandai Namco returns with a brand new installment after so many years of waiting as the stage of history is opened once again for new and returning players to experience the next chapter of this iconic sword-fighting game where every move is a clear difference between victory and defeat.

Soul Calibur VI (PS4)

Soul Calibur VI is the latest installment from Bandai Namco's Soul series and for the first time, it's arrived in the latest generation of gaming consoles, the PlayStation4 and the XBOX One. Armed with the Unreal Engine, every detail, every action, and every angle of the latest installment is very dynamic indeed and very eye-popping as players jump into the newest chapter of the Soul series by all means necessary.

Every character in Soul Calibur VI has a story to tell and in this game, you are greeted with returning characters from the franchise such as Mitsurugi, Sophitia, Zasalamel, Astaroth, Kilik, Talim, and others, including new additions such as mysterious Groh. Apart from them, Geralt of Rivia from The Witcher makes a special guest appearance, making this installment in sync with the tradition of past installments featuring special guest characters for dramatic reasons. Feel free to get to know the characters better in the Soul Chronicle mode, the main story mode of the game.

Like in past installments, you can immerse yourself to the stage of history by creating your own character and then give your creation a headstart in the Libra of Soul mode, a story mode where your character, created by you, will be the main character as you battle numerous foes to become the warrior that changes the fate of history. How your character battles is all up to you.

Playing Soul Calibur VI alone feels good but as one of the ideal party game to entertain your guests, a two-player versus mode adds more fun into this sword-fighting game, giving them plenty of reasons to talk about how cool or how intense this game is. If you are fully prepared, you can take on online battles, ranked or unranked, just to show the world that you are worthy of being the strongest warrior in history.

If you think you know Soul Calibur VI from the start to the finish, think again because there are more to come post-launch so be prepared with the season pass featuring four playable characters coming soon and two creation parts set if you are in a mood of creating your own heroes in the stage of history. The first DLC character is Tira and if you are in a mood to master her Ring Blade weapon and experience her story, be it.

It's a great honor the Soul series has returned and although late than never, Soul Calibur VI delivers a brand new, breathtaking, experience new and returning fans are looking forward to while crunching their fingers for some button-mashing action with their favorite characters or heroes they've created. If you are ready to step back to the stage of history, this is your fate.

Call of Duty Black Ops 4

Call of Duty is back with a brand new installment for this year but this is not the Call of Duty you may remember through the years because what this new installment is is everyone's guess.

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 (PS4)
Call of Duty Black Ops 4 (X1)
Black Ops 4 is the latest installment of the Call of Duty franchise and while this game brings back the Black Ops name since the last installment three years ago, introducing yourselves to BO4 is a lot harder than we might imagine.

For starters, the single player campaign that has been the forefront in most COD games has been thrown away and turned into a multiplayer-only game that sounds very expensive if you have a PS4 and XBOX One with you due to subscription charges but if you're playing this on your PC, it's fine. You can multiplayer all you want but be ready because the game mechanics are a lot trickier than you might think.

Because multiplayer is the main focus of Black Ops 4, players can jump to the action offline via splitscreen or online. Whether you turn BO4 into a party game to entertain the guests or challenge the world online, whichever discipline you might pit into is a clear difference between victory and defeat.

Because battle royale games are all the rage right now because of Fortnite, Battlegrounds, Rules of Survival or any other battle royale game you know, Black Ops 4 introduces Blackout, a battle royale mode where players can play as their favorite Black Ops characters in memorable settings and because this is a battle royale game, the rules are simple; many will enter, only one will win. No questions asked.

Of course, what's a Call of Duty game without Zombies mode? Zombies are back in BO4 and at launch, players can get into three terrifying tales with a brand new cast of characters that will keep you hooked for more until your head aches really bad due to the intense gore factor this mode delivers.

Expect more Black Ops 4 action soon after launch with a range of DLC packs along the way and like last time, all new DLC content may pop up first for PS4 users so if you're playing this game on the PS4, you're in luck because you will be the first to get some new content that will enrich your BO4 experience.

To sum up then, the lack of single player campaign makes BO4 a dull game to play but since this game allows splitscreen multiplayer gameplay when you have two controllers with you, it can be an all-out party game full stop and with the addition of a new battle royale feature and head-burning Zombies mode, some people would definitely want to empty their pockets to play BO4 some more if they can afford the subscription charges to keep playing multiplayer online.

GT SPORT: Supra Comes Back!

The Toyota Supra is unmistakingly the king of Toyota sports cars since the Celica XX broke out in the late 70's and until the turn of the 21st century, the legend that carries within the Supra will never be forgotten. It's no wonder most of the speedo boys worshipped this car ever since just like how they did to the GT-R from Nissan.

8296224254794400772_0

8287217066277078028_0

At long last, after almost two decades of disappearance, news broke out that Toyota will finally revive the legendary Supra sportscar in partnership with BMW and at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, their planned revival presented us with this...

8286654107333166092_0

Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the Toyota GR Supra Racing Concept.

8151541720397381636_0

So, the Supra comes back from the dead like a phoenix rising from the ashes. How did it get there from the FT-1 to the planned revival Toyota's working on? Of course, the Toyota FT-1 concept we saw years ago was just a stepping stone for Toyota to revive the legendary Supra sportscar for the next generation of drivers itching to drive something more powerful than the less powerful but accessible and popular 86. For them, some Toyota enthusiasts are ready to graduate from their 86 driving days to the next Supra, that's for sure.

Although this is made in collaboration with BMW because it will be based on the next Z4 roadster, the GR Supra is made by Toyota Gazoo Racing, one of Toyota's motorsports division that also produces GR-tuned versions of everyday vehicles, With the styling carried out from the FT-1 concept, the GR Supra Racing Concept features a lightweight high-strength carbon fiber materials and because this is a race ready version of the next Supra, most of the race car stuff including the large blister fenders and rear wing, among many others, are all here just to give fans what would the future Supra be when taken to the world's demanding race tracks like the Nurburgring, Le Mans, Suzuka, and so on.

Representing the past and the future for the grand revival of "the sports of Toyota", the GR Supra Racing Concept is all about progress that doesn't demand sacrifice and having showcased the upmost potential of the Supra revival project would be, let's take it somewhere to see how much of a Toyota this is and for that, I went to Suzuka.

The first time I get into the groove with the GR Supra Racing Concept, I find that its dynamics can be somewhat intimidating at first but the more I drive with this thing, the more I'm starting to admire the way this future Supra possess and having getting to know more about the Supra, I've devised a little demonstration.

I'm going to see if the GR Supra Racing Concept has changed a lot from the FT-1 Concept a few years ago and since the GR Supra's a Group 3 racer, the FT-1 concept I'm looking for is its Group 3 equivalent and there it is. With the prime specimens set, these future Supras are going for one quick lap round Suzuka to see which one is the alpha. Roll the tape.

After these future Supras taking a lap round Suzuka, here are the results;

GR Supra - 2:11.191
FT1 VGT Gr.3 - 2:12.375

Amazingly though, despite their behavioral differences when handling round corners, looks like this concept's evolved from the one that is wildly styled but civilized in handling into the exact opposite but almost a second quicker. That is a just win for the much evolved Supra concept in racing overalls but that was very impressive.

In today's times, as racing games evolved, looks like the need to feature Toyotas have decreased to almost never, meaning you will find little games that featured the best of Toyota. A game like GT SPORT has became a safe haven for Toyotas new and old and this GR Supra Racing Concept will soon start an uprising to ensure that all Toyotas will have their equal share.

By the time Toyota revived the Supra, those speedo boys who have ten reasons why they hate sportscars from Europe are getting what they've wished for because for them, there is no substitute for a Toyota. But in the meantime, let's take into consideration and give praise to the GR Supra Racing Concept on GT SPORT, a racing machine that signals the revival of "the sports of Toyota" and a catalyst for Toyota's uprising just to show the world what they're capable of. It may be a long and tough battle but such fanbase will give Toyota a much needed boost it truly needs and I wish them the best of luck in reviving the Supra.

GT SPORT: Classic little guys

The original Mini, the original Beetle, and the original 500; three iconic little cars emerged from the 20th century and no matter how much pop culture stardom these cars possess, their classic tastes never go out of style, especially when you take these three for a spin at GT SPORT.

Ah, the classic trio of city cars. When you look at these three together, it's like three good-looking senior citizens hanging out at the pub for a nice draft, chatting about the good old days in a rather friendly manner and it's great to see these three together again in GT SPORT.

There are different reasons why these three looked so popular probably because of the star factor they posses. Most like the original Mini because Mr. Bean drove one as well and it's not just Mr. Bean, the original Italian Job movie and The Bourne Identity gave a shine and scratch over the legendary British icon.

For the Beetle, you should thank Disney and Hasbro for its stardom because if it weren't for this car, Herbie and Bumblebee wouldn't exist and speaking of Bumblebee, it's great to bring the classic Beetle back for the Transformers prequel film starring, you guessed it, Bumblebee. Expect bringing some tissues, folks.

As for the 500, well, the only thing that took a shine on the Cinquecento is Lupin the Third and a character from Disney-Pixar's Cars. I'm talking about you, Luigi.

What we have here, ladies and gentlemen, is the three pillars of stardom; Mr. Bean, Herbie, and Lupin the Third. I know, it's not in order but such stardom really made these cars special even in today's times and here in GT SPORT, I'm driving these three icons to see which fared well. Having second thoughts, I traveled to Tsukuba and checking these cars out in a Best MOTORing method.

Okay, let's remember this right away because I've done this twice but if you need a quick refresher, get this; out of the three, the Mini has the most power while the Beetle is the heaviest of the three and the 500 is the lightest so on paper, their driving style do vary and while the Mini shows no problems in the handling department, the Beetle, because being the heaviest, can be slightly struggling to get round the corner, and the 500, because with so little power in so very light car, feels like it almost doesn't need a brake when it gets round the corner.

I know that the slow and steady will win the race but since this is GT SPORT, the rules of survival of the fastest shouldn't be ignored and with that, let's cue the tape.

After a quick lap round Tsukuba, here are the results;

Mini Cooper - 1:21.940
VW 1200 - 1:32.684
Fiat 500 - 1:42.259

History does repeat itself but it's undeniable that the original and British-made classic Mini Cooper is by no means the most iconic of the three timeless classic due to its motorsports pedigree and a very high popularity among car enthusiasts and historians. I appreciate how these three classic icons handle, although the 500 was the most surprising of the three (with thanks to Lupin the Third), but in the end, looks like Mr. Bean always wins the day. The untalkative weirdo has bested the Transformer and the master thief by a large margin and that really is a bombshell to end this day.
