ABB FIA Formula E S8 - Monaco ePrix

The streets of Monaco are the next battleground for the eighth season of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.

As the lights went off, the action in Monaco kicked off with Mitch Evans holding the lead at the start of the race. As the attack mode activation zone in Monaco's gone live, the drivers are making great strides over the course of the Monaco E-Prix. It went well until when the race had twenty minutes left before the final lap, Pascal Wehrlen drops back through the field and therefore out of the race. Soon afterward, Oliver Rowland and Andre Lotterer got involved in the accident as well. As the race resumes with a few minutes left, it's an all-out clash to the finish line.

In the end, Stoffel Vandoorne wins the Monaco ePrix with Mitch Evans finishing 2nd and Jean-Eric Vergne finishing 3rd.

The next race of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship will be in Berlin from the 14th to the 15th of May, 2022.

ABB FIA Formula E S8 - Rome City ePrix

The streets of Rome, Italy, are the next battleground for the eighth season of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship and things couldn't get even wilder in the Eternal City even as the Holy Week approaches.

Kicking off the race is Maximilian Guenther's unfortunate crash that triggered the safety car. As the race resumed, Stoffel Vandoorne tries to maintain his lead right up to the moment that ATTACK MODE is permitted. As the race intensifies, Robin Frijns snatched Vandoorne's lead. As the race nears its climax, Mitch Evans pulled a sudden resurgence as he stormed into the lead by surprise. In the end, Mitch Evans won the first race.

The second race, meanwhile, saw some more action, with Antonio Giovinazzi crashing in the middle of the race. In the end, Mitch Evans completed the Rome sweep with the win followed by Jean-Eric Vergne in 2nd place and Frijns in 3rd place.

The next race will be the Monaco E-Prix on the 30th of April, 2022.

ABB FIA Formula E S8 - Mexico City ePrix

Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez is the next stop of the eighth season of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. Having managed to survive through a brand new qualifying format involving duel phases, the zero-emission rollercoaster ride in Mexico roars to life with intense clashes fans can't get enough of.

After an intense rollercoaster ride, this season's Mexico City ePrix saw the Porsche team make history as not only the team deliver their first Formula E win but also their first 1-2 finish with Pascal Wehrlein the winner and Andre Lotterer the winner. Jean-Eric Vergne, the two-time champion for DS TECHEETAH, finished 3rd.

The next race will be in Rome, Italy, on the 9th of April.

ABB FIA Formula E S8 - Diriyah ePrix

The ABB FIA Formula E World Championship returns for the eighth season and this season will be the last for the current-generation machines before the transition to Gen3 machines for the next season. The electric street racing action kicked off in Ad Diriyah, Saudi Arabia, for the two-part season opener, where intense close-quarters clashes a way to kick off the new season of Formula E.

The first race saw last season's champion, the Mercedes-EQ Formula E Team, nicked their 1-2 finish with Nyck De Vries the winner and Stoffel Vandoorne the second placer while Avalanche Andretti's Jake Dennis finished 3rd. In the second race, meanwhile, ROKIT Venturi's Edoardo Mortara and Lucas Di Grassi finished in 1st and 3rd while Envision's Robin Frijns finished 2nd.

The next race will be in Mexico City on the 12th of February, 2022.

ABB FIA Formula E S7 FINAL

This is where everything ends as the season finale of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship in Belgium will decide who will be this season's world champion and with the leaderboard's too close to call, the season finale is going to be the most unpredictable finale ever because no one knows who will rise and fall in the endgame held at the Berlin-Tempelhof airport.

In the first race of the finale, Lucas di Grassi of Audi surged through the lead and won while ROKIT Venturi's Edoardo Mortara finished 2nd and Mitch Evans of Jaguar finished 3rd. 

In the final race, meanwhile, the domino effect unfolds as the start of the race saw title rivals Mortara and Evans crashed each other and hospitalized. As the race restarted, Jake Dennis is also out of the race as well! As the race restarts again, Norman Nato storms into the lead, and as Nato fends off the competition, last year's champion Antonio Felix Da Costa of DS TECHEETAH is out of the race after a collision with the wall. As the race nears its climax, the remaining drivers made their moves.

At the end of the final race, Norman Nato finished 1st while Oliver Rowland of Nissan finished 2nd and Stoffel Vandoorne of Mercedes EQ finished 3rd.

However, the ABB FIA Formula E Season 7 world championship title goes to Nyck De Vries of Mercedes-EQ!

ABB FIA Formula E S7 - London ePrix

As the streets of the British capital reopened, well almost, amidst the ongoing health crisis, the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship returned to London for the London ePrix, the penultimate leg of the season, and the return marks the debut of a hybrid outdoor-indoor track layout, which is unheard for Formula E drivers but it sure makes exciting to see them clashing on the inside out.

The first race saw Alexander Sims's car damage forced him out of the race, title leader Mitch Evans' heartbreak due to mechanical problems that forced him out of the race, and some close-quarters fight between drivers. In the end, Jake Dennis claimed his first Formula E career win while Nyck de Vries finished 2nd and Alex Lynn finished 3rd.

In the second race, meanwhile. lots of action involved with Andre Lotterer got damaged, a collision between Oliver Rowland and Stoffel Vandoorne, and Lucas de Grassi got slapped with a black flag. After all the action involved, Alex Lynn nailed his first Formula E win while Nyck de Vries finished 2nd and Mitch Evans finished 3rd.

After London, Nyck de Vries is now sitting at the top of the driver standings but the question is, will he get his first world champion title? ABB FIA Formula E S7 - New York ePrix

International racing is back in the United States as the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship returns to the streets of New York for the New York ePrix two-race event where the drivers are bringing the spark back to the Big Apple.

The first part saw lots of action and mishaps in store such as Alex Lynn's on-track trouble, Pascal Wehrlein's heartbreak, and close-quarters combat in store for the drivers. In the end, Maximilian Guenther wins the first race followed by Jean-Eric Vergne and Lucas di Grassi.

The second part, meanwhile, saw even more action than before such as Jean-Eric Vergne's failure to start, Edoardo Mortara's collision, and the drama unfolds from start to finish. After such intense racing, Sam Bird is the comeback kid for Jaguar as he emerged as the winner of the second race followed by Nick Cassidy and Antonio Felix Da Costa.

Post-NYC, Sam Bird has emerged to the top of the leaderboards and he is now five points ahead of Antonio Felix Da Costa, 81 vs. 76. Robin Frijns has dropped to third with 76 points.

The next race is in London from the 24th to the 25th of July, 2021.

ABB FIA Formula E S7 - Puebla ePrix

Formula E has a new battleground for the seventh season and this newest addition is set on the outskirts of Puebla, Mexico. Called the Puebla ePrix, the best of Formula E are going all out to tackle this newest battleground in this two-race event.

The first part of the first-ever Puebla ePrix is packed with drama from start to finish with Maximilian Guenther using Attack Mode from the lead of the race, Jean-Eric Vergne's crash ended his race, a collision with Alex Lynn kicked Sam Bird out of the race, and a collision between Robin Frijns and Nyck De Vries. In the end, it's a 1-2 finish for Audi with Lucas di Grassi won the first part while Rene Rast finished 2nd while Edoardo Mortara of Venturi finished 3rd.

The final part, meanwhile, gets even more dramatic with Edoardo Mortara using Attack Mode, another bad day for De Vries, Sam Bird getting sandwiched, as Antonio Felix Da Costa crashed through the wall. After all the action in the final part of the Puebla ePrix. Mortara claims redemption with his victory against Porsche's Pascal Wehrlein, who got penalized by the addition of five seconds to his race time for improper use of FANBOOST, costing his second-place finish to Nick Cassidy while Oliver Rowland of Nissan got promoted to third place.

Post-Mexico, Mortara is now jumping at the top of the leaderboards and he's now ten points ahead of Robin Frijns, 72 vs. 62, while Da Costa's dropped to third place with 60 points after the recent incident.

The next race is in New York City from the 10th to the 11th of July, 2021.

ABB FIA Formula E S7 - Monaco ePrix

The ABB FIA Formula E World Championship continues on the streets of Monaco for the Monaco ePrix leg of this seventh season.

The Monaco ePrix is packed with action and suspense from every corner the drivers took from start to finish. Last year's champion Antonio Felix da Costa, who took the Pole Position from the qualifiers, leads the grid at the start of the race and after a good start, he faces stiff competition from the likes of Mitch Evans and Robin Frijns. Behind them, Andre Lotterer, Alexander Sims, and Jake Dennis are involved in a collision course in the middle of the Grand Hotel Hairpin. Come on 18 laps passed and Rene Rast's hit a barrier on the exit of Turn One. As the race reaches its climax, the defending champion made his move.

Da Costa wins the Monaco ePrix, beating the likes of Evans and Frijns on the track. Other finishers include Jean-Eric Vergne, Maximilian Guenther, Oliver Rowland, Sam Bird, Nick Cassidy, Alex Lynn, and Lucas Di Grassi.

After all the action from Monaco, Frijns is now in the lead with 62 points, five points ahead of Nyck de Vries, while Mitch Evans is in third with 54 points.

The next race of the FIA Formula E World Championship will be at Puebla, Mexico, from the 19th to the 20th of June, 2021.

ABB FIA Formula E S7 - Valencia ePrix

For the first time, the ABB FIA Formula E has gone out from the streets and into a real circuit with Circuit Ricardo Tormo their newest battleground for the first-ever, two-part, Valencia ePrix.

In the first race of the Valencia ePrix, in the midst of the wet season, Antonio Felix Da Costa starts smooth, then Andre Lotterrer involved in a collision course with another driver, Maximilian Guenther crashed out of the track, and the dramatic final lap where drivers are nursing their cars through the finish line with a few charge left. At the end of the first race, Mercedes EQ's Nyck de Vries wins while Nico Mueller of Dragon finished 2nd and Mercedes' Stoffel Vandoorne finished 3rd.

In the second race, meanwhile, there's plenty of drama happened with some overtakes, close calls, and collisions to sum this race up, all the way to the big upset in Formula E history where Jake Dennis claimed the first win of his Formula E career while Andre Lotterer finished 2nd for Porsche and Alex Lynn of Mahindra finished 3rd.

After Valencia, Nyck de Vries leads the standings with 57 points while Stoffel Vandoorne's nine points behind de Vries and Sam Bird's at third place with 43 points.

The next race of this season will be at Monaco on the 8th of May, 2021.

ABB FIA Formula E S7 - Rome ePrix

The seventh season of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship continues on the streets of Rome, Italy, for the two-part Rome ePrix event, and drivers are going all-out to see who will dominate the streets of Rome.

In the first part, we saw Stoffel Vandoorne's lead ended by a collision clash by Andre Lotterer, leaving Jean-Eric Vergne sprinting to the lead, then Nyck De Vries, and then Lucas Di Grassi, whose lead is toast when his car slows down, and the crash of two Mercedes drivers as the climax nears. The two-time world champion wins the first part, followed by Sam Bird and Mitch Evans.

The second part, meanwhile, saw Nick Cassidy's leading the grid, Pascal Wehlein's bold moves to the lead, Vandoorne's attack mode, and a disappointing day for the two Audi drivers after the crash. Stoffel Vandoorne wins the second part of the Rome ePrix with Alexander Sims finished 2nd and Pascal Wehrlein finished 3rd.

After all the action at Rome, Sam Bird leads the Driver Standings at 43 points with Mitch Evans four points behind Bird, and Robin Frijns at third place with 34 points.

The next event of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship will be at Valencia from the 24th to the 25th of April, 2021.

ABB FIA Formula E S7 - Diriyah ePrix

The world of electric racing's got positively charged as the seventh season of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship kicked off with the first-ever night race at Diriyah, Saudi Arabia.

With the world's first electric street racing mototsport series fully elevated into a fully charged world championship, Formula E's never felt so powered up than ever and what better way to kick off the seventh season of the world's most unpredictable racing series than taking part of the first-ever, two-part, night race, which held in the streets of Diriyah, Saudi Arabia.

ABB FIA Formula-E S6 FINALE

Prior to the suspension of the sixth season of the ABB FIA Formula E due to the COVID-19 outbreak, DS TECHEETAH's Antonio Felix Da Costa eads the leaderboard with 67 points while Jaguar's Mitch Evan's in 2nd with 56 points and BMW i's Alexander Sims's in third with 46 points. As races resume in the midst of the "new normal", the ABB FIA Formula E Season 6 resumed with a gripping 6-race finale that will decide who will be this season's champion.

Nine days, six races, three tracks, one winner. This is what the Season 6 Finale sums up and all races are set near the Berlin-Tempelhof airport under three different configurations, giving the drivers more challenge. 

In the first two races, Antonio Felix Da Costa dominated the competition spectacularly. Then, when the Berlin track's altered for the next two races, we can see BMW i's Maximilian Guenther won Race 8 while Jean-Eric Vergne headlined Race 9 with a win while Antonio Felix Da Costa finished in 2nd place, which is more than enough to seal his champion title and DS Techeetah's Teams' Champion title. When the Berlin track's changed for one final time, Nissan driver Oliver Rowland nailed his first win in Race 10 as well as Mercedes EQ's Stoffel Vandoorne in the final race of the season.

So, there we are. Nine days, six races, three tracks, one winner. That's the Season 6 Finale to you and congratulations to Antonio Felix Da Costa for nailing the champion title.

ABB Formula E Race at Home Challenge FINAL

Started at the end of April, the ABB Formula E Race at Home Challenge was made to replace the ongoing Formula E season that was been on indefinite halt due to the coronavirus pandemic. Formula E drivers staying-at-home got their racing sims courtesy of Playseat and then took part at this very special series where all proceeds go to UNICEF, helping children worldwide affected by the pandemic.

As the Race at Home Challenge reached its climax, Pascal Wehrlein of Mahindra and Mercedes EQ's Stoffel Vandoorne's locked in a title fight with 14 points between them, 130 vs. 116, and because the final round is a double-point battle, it's an all-or-nothing battle for those who are fighting for the title.

In the final race of the Race at Home Challenge, set at the virtual Berlin EPrix, Wehrlein got caught in a first corner mess and struggles to fend off the competition while Vandoorne's keeping it cool while trying to fend off the polesitter Oliver Rowland of Nissan.



By finishing second ahead of Maximilian Guenther and behind Oliver Rowland, Stoffel Vandoorne is named the ABB FIA Formula E Race at Home Challenge Champion. Not only that, he set the fastest lap time in 1:09.064.

ABB Formula E Race at Home Challenge Round 7

It's the penultimate round of the special ABB Formula E Race at Home Challenge and our favorite stay-at-home Formula E drivers remained in virtual New York EPrix venue to settle scores in the first of the two-part Race at Home Challenge finale.



The special ABB Formula E Race at Home Challenge for the benefit of UNICEF has reached the two-part finale weekend held at the virtual New York EPrix venue and the first part saw some intense battling for the stay-at-home drivers while points leader Pascal Wehrlein of Mahindra tries its best to fend the competition off to snag the championship title.

A nice and clean start, a crucial action for Stoffel Vandoorne, crashes, and carnage is what sums the penultimate round of the ABB Formula E Race at Home Challenge. In the end, Pascal Wehrlein wins the penultimate round of the Race at Home Challenge with Oliver Rowland of Nissan placed 2nd and Kelvin Van Der Linde, who replaced Daniel Abt for Audi following the suspension from the previous race, placed 3rd. Vandoorne set the fastest lap of this race at 1:11.182.

ABB Formula E Race at Home Challenge Round 6

The virtual action you'd expect from the ABB FIA Formula E Championship continues in the 6th round of the special ABB Formula E Race at Home Challenge and in the 6th round of the special series, all current stay-at-home Formula E drivers have been gathered in virtual New York.


Last week's Berlin is full of controversy with Daniel Abt got disqualified and banned from the championship following his alleged hiring of a sim driver to do the driving for him. With the dust of Berlin controversy already settled, the remaining stay-at-home Formula E drivers are continuing their Race at Home challenge at the virtual New York track, where everything's on the line for the drivers.

In typical Race-at-Home challenge fashion, disaster happened in the first corner, and then more chaos occurred as the race progresses with some laughing to the face of danger as drivers gunning for the title continue to fight themselves to the finish.

Stoffel Vandoorne of Mercedes EQ turned his Pole Position advantage into a decisive victory in round six of the ABB FIA Formula E Race at Home Challenge with Mahindra driver Pascal Wehrlein placed 2nd and Nissan driver Oliver Rowland finished third. Vandoorne set the fastest lap time of 1:11.255.

ABB Formula E Race at Home Challenge Round 5

The virtual action you'd expect from the ABB FIA Formula E Championship continues in the fifth round of the special ABB Formula E Race at Home Challenge and in the fifth round of the special series, all current stay-at-home Formula E drivers have been gathered in virtual Berlin.



In Race at Home challenge tradition, the start of the race became chaotic of course with a first corner mess but in later laps, the race gets even more intense as before until the Nissan driver Oliver Rowland performed an impressive double pass to gain the lead and win the fifth round of the ABB FIA Formula E Race at Home Challenge at the virtual Berlin ePrix track.

Stoffel Vandoorne of Mercedes EQ placed 2nd despite his pole position advantage and Daniel Abt of Audi finished 3rd. Although Vandoorne placed 2nd, he set a fast lap time of 1:09.249.

ABB Formula E Race at Home Challenge Round 4

The virtual action you'd expect from the ABB FIA Formula E Championship continues in the fourth round of the special ABB Formula E Race at Home Challenge and in the fourth round of the special series, all current stay-at-home Formula E drivers have been gathered in virtual Hong Kong.



If you think last week's virtual Monaco incident is messy, the Hong Kong virtual e-Prix leg of the Race at Home challenge is even more messier because of the big one happening at the start and then it gets even more messier as the virtual ePrix progresses, making it a rather humorous and crazy race to enjoy for the stay-at-home Formula E fans and drivers alike. Even the current leader Maximilian Guenther's not safe from the Hong Kong virtual incident either.

After a rather humorous and crazy Hong Kong virtual race, Mahindra driver Pascal Wehrlein nicked his second FIA Formula E Race At Home Challenge win after defeating the likes of Stoffel Vandoorne of Mercedes EQ and James Calado of Jaguar to nick the checkered flag. Not only he won the race, Wehrlein set the fastest lap time in 59.810.

ABB Formula E Race at Home Challenge Round 3

The virtual action you'd expect from the ABB FIA Formula E Championship continues in the third round of the special ABB Formula E Race at Home Challenge and in the third round of the special series, all current stay-at-home Formula E drivers have been gathered in virtual Cote d'Azur.



The virtual Monaco track was used in the test round of the special Formula E Race At Home series several weeks ago and now that this track is back as the third battleground for the stay-at-home Formula E drivers, it was going to be a rather exciting virtual match to behold, until it turned into the most chaotic virtual Formula E race ever because with all of the pileup happening shunt after shunt after shunt, although some drivers managed to keep their cool in the midst of this virtual chaos.

After a chaotic virtual thriller in Monaco, Mahindra driver Pascal Wehlrein defeated Mercedes EQ's Stoffel Vandoorne and BMW i's Maximilian Guenther to win the third round of the ABB FIA Formula E Race at Home Challenge for the benefit of UNICEF. Not only he won, he managed to secure the fastest lap of the race at 51.510 seconds.

ABB Formula E Race at Home Challenge Round 2

The virtual action you'd expect from the ABB FIA Formula E Championship continues in the second round of the special ABB Formula E Race at Home Challenge and in the second round of the special series, all current stay-at-home Formula E drivers have been gathered in an original course set for this round; a dock track.



All 24 stay-at-home Formula E drivers took part in the second round of the special series for the benefit of Unicef in the original docks track where originality aside, the virtual race is all about surviving through "the chicane" and fight their way towards the checkered flag.

After the chaotic second round, the BMW i driver Max Guenther takes win number two in the ABB Formula E Race at Home Challenge followed by a Robin Frijns and Nico Muller. Mahindra driver Pascal Wehrlein posted this round's fastest lap in 1:23.012.
