Six Nations 2013 kicks off as England wins against Scotland

England vs. Scotland
The Six Nations 2013 kicks off and in the opening salvo, it's England taken down big-time rival Scotland for the Calcutta Cup, kicking it off with a great start of the game! Here's an article sourced from BBC Sport:

England overpowered great rivals Scotland to retain the Calcutta Cup and get their Six Nations campaign off to the perfect start.

A try on debut from Billy Twelvetrees and equally clinical scores from Chris Ashton, Geoff Parling and Danny Care, added to 18 points from the boot of man of the match Owen Farrell, were fitting reward for a dominant display.

Sean Maitland's 10th-minute try offered the visitors brief early hope of a long-overdue upset, but they led for less than four minutes.

A late rally after a brilliant length-of-the-field break finished by Stuart Hogg narrowed the margin but never threatened to overturn it.

Scotland have now gone 30 years without a win in the English capital and England's young side will now travel to Dublin with confidence high as they continue to develop quickly under coach Stuart Lancaster.

Farrell's penalty on two minutes had given his side an early lead, bullocking runs from Ben Morgan and Tom Wood then punching huge holes in the Scottish rearguard as Lancaster's men began at pace.
But it was Scotland who silenced Twickenham with the first try of the day. Mike Brown's clearing kick found Hogg in space, and the full-back ghosted between Mike Brown and Dan Cole before clattering through Alex Goode.

Debutant Maitland was free on his shoulder, only for Hogg to hold on, but after his forwards made further inroads the winger was able to dive over in the corner from three yards out.

Indiscipline at the breakdown from the Scottish forwards gave Farrell the chance to land a brace of penalties for 9-5, Greig Laidlaw adding one of his own to keep the match in the balance as the half-hour approached.
It was an open game, with both sides looking to put the ball through hands on a dry but bitterly cold afternoon.

And England struck next as their mobile forwards thundered at the Scottish defence.

Joe Launchbury took a short pass from Joe Marler and drove through a tackle, sucking in defenders, and the lurking Ashton took Ben Youngs's pass at pace to crash between Sean Lamont and Ruaridh Jackson and reach out to touch down.

Farrell's conversion and fourth penalty after a high tackle on Morgan made it 19-8, Laidlaw reducing the deficit to 19-11 at the interval with his second penalty after Wood transgressed.
England, so impressive in their previous match at Twickenham, the record 38-21 defeat of New Zealand, then took control as the second period began.

Quick ball and incisive drives set up possession deep in the Scottish 22, and a flat pass from Ben Youngs allowed Twelvetrees to take the ball at pace and thump through Dougie Hall and Jim Hamilton for his first international try.

It was fitting reward for a composed display from the Gloucester centre, only in the team because of injury to Manu Tuilagi.

The faultless Farrell added the conversion, and then threw a beautiful long miss-pass to pick out lock Parling loitering on the left wing for the Leicester man's own maiden England try.

Launchbury had a try ruled out for a high tackle earlier in the move, before the game meandered for a while as errors crept in on both sides.

Scotland then rallied, turning the ball over close to their own line and putting it through the hands before Maitland kicked ahead and Hogg won the race to touch down ahead of replacement Toby Flood.

But Scott Johnson's men could do little more to break down the well organised home defence, and when Care burrowed over at the death, a capacity crowd celebrated another encouraging victory.

At the end of the first round; both England and Ireland are in the lead by two points. After all, during England's win against the Scottish at Twickenham, I've received reports that Ireland's IRFU taken down the hopeless WRU from Wales at Millenium Stadium, Cardiff, Wales. 30 to 22, the Irish beaten down the Welsh in a game of rugby....

Forza 4: The Ballad of Civic Type R

The Ballad of Type R

Oh look, guess who's booked for a visit at the Top Gear Test Track on Forza Motorsport 4? Oh yes! It's those Civic Type R hatches that I'm surely missed. There was the first of its kind, the EK9 Civic Type R, famed for being the noise-making JDM hot hatch that loves to carve destruction to the residential zones...

...the EP3 Civic Type R that seems to be more of a gentleman's Type R but turns out to pack a deadly combination of agility, precision, and the burning desire to impress the crowd...

...and the FN2 Civic Type R, the last of the breed. When I said "last of the breed", I do mean it because this is the final Type R model to be offered in Japan.

I know, it's sad that with the FN2 sold out in Japan, this spelled the end of the Type R legend and if you heard the news about the next Civic Type R is due in 2015 and claimed to be the fastest at the Nurburgring, don't expect this future Type R to come in Japan because as we know, the Civic is dead in 2010. Why does the whole world gets the ninth-generation Civic while Japan missed out? Never mind about that but still, no future Type R for Japanese market, which really makes us sad because a true Type R has to be sold in Japan, accessible to every "speedo boy" on the planet. He he he, speedo boy...Why did I used that word?

Oh yeah, I did made the word "speedo boy" to a whole new meaning. Speedo boy is...some idiot obsessed at the car's speedo and obsessed about knowing the car's 0-100kmh time and its top speed but because it's a Japanese car, that doesn't work, SPEEDO BOY! A Speedo Boy is...often taking a video of a speedo revving while driving at the road but that's too distracting, right? Guess I should make a lyric about speedo boys, he he he....

But anyway, the Civic Type R, these are surely be missed and if there's a Civic Type R that is not offered in Japanese, guess I should turn away from then until Honda Motor Co., Ltd. has the chance....

Two endings on the same day

In case you haven't heard of it, two TV dramas from ABS-CBN, Princess and I and Kahit Puso'y Masugatan, ended on the same day. Whoa, what a combo but which ending should I start with? Oh yes!

Let's start with Princess and I...

In order for Mikay or Princess Aria (Kathryn Bernardo) to save her kingdom, her father King Anan (Albert Martinez), Gino (Daniel Padilla), and the kingdom of Yangdon from the crutches of Ashi Behati (Gretchen Baretto), who dethroned King Anan and took over Yangdon as revenge, she made a sacrifice and the sacrifice is...to marry Jao (Enrique Gil) but the question is, is that a necessary sacrifice to save Yangdon?

After learning King Anan's fatal conditions, we've discovered what are the true intentions of why Ashi Behati took over Yangdon and it's because of the revenge made for exiling both her and Jao. You may recall that from previous episodes.

When Gino talked to Jao about the reason why Mikay chose to bring back peace to Yangdon, we also saw Ashi Behati injecting some sort of poison to King Anan and later, Jao approached Mikay at the refugee camp to explain everything.

At the fateful day, at the royal wedding of Mikay and Jao, Jao interrupted the wedding and hey, Mikay's right. Maybe two worlds need to resolve this conflict and peace is what Yangdon needs. Because of what Jao said, Ashi Behati became furious about that very decision. Ashi Behati's going to kill Mikay but Jao sacrificed himself to save Mikay.

Moments later, peace has regained to Yangdon and the east and west are now together as one while Ashi Behati's imprisoned for the rest of her life. The happy ending is when Mikay and Gino finally together as Princess Aria and Dasho Yuan, two years later...

That ends the story of Princess and I...

Okay so how about the ending of Kahit Puso'y Masugatan?

On the finale, Rafael (Jake Cuenca) died after being shot by the police and Veronica (Andi Eigenmann) finally turned herself in to the police for the kidnapping of Miggy, the child of Andrea (Iza Calzado). Sorry if the description seems to be short but this might be enough to explain what is the ending of Kahit Puso'y Masugatan. After all, it all ends when Andrea visited the prison to see Veronica and, well, it's all's fair as siblings. Andrea tries to make Veronica forget all of the bad things caused to her and that's the end of the story.

I do hope you've enjoyed both of these endings as seen yesterday...

Hayate the combat butler CAN'T TAKE MY EYES OFF YOU Original Soundtrack

Hayate the combat butler CAN'T TAKE MY EYES OF YOU
Original Soundtrack
After two seasons from 2007 and 2009, a Taiwanese TV drama on 2011, and a feature-length film on the same year, it seems that the venerable Hayate no Gotoku story is like playing a game of "last hit" and in 2012, the whole Hayate no Gotoku franchise really know that when a game of "last hit" gets serious, it keeps tagging and tagging and tagging until it's finished. Hayate the combat butler CAN'T TAKE MY EYES OFF YOU is worth an attempt for doing that purpose.

This is a completely different story, not related to the past two seasons, but Kenjiro Hata was responsible for this original content offered on this series. Despite the author taking showrunner duties for CAN'T TAKE MY EYES OFF YOU, it's still kinda old-fashioned though, even when the staff re-employed the animation studio responsible for HEAVEN IS A PLACE ON EARTH movie. With returning characters, especially Ruka Suirenji, there has been new additions to the series such as the enigmatic Ruri Tsugumi. From Tokyo to Las Vegas, you're not escaping the fact that the whole 12-episode anime series is "last hit" best served cold.

However, if some of you got tantalized over the background music as heard on the series, fear not because there's an OST for that. This OST is jam-packed with 42 tracks, while most of the BGM's scored by Wataru Maeguchi, who was responsible for the music score from the movie, you can also expect TV-sized versions of the series' opening and closing theme and as a bonus, the final episode version of the song "Here I Am, Here We Are" was on that track as well.

Well, let's not be clever shall we because most of you will be out there searching for this CD on the net but as a general rule, here's the order link:

Dream Club Complete Edipyon and Dream Club Zero Special Edipyon

If you like THE IDOLM@STER, this game that I'm going to feature today will not going to please you though because back in 2009, there's this game produced by D3P called Dream Club. It's all about the host club, and then once you're here, you are free to entertain, or be entertained, by the hostesses of Dream Club and yes really, you might be hearing the songs coming out from the hostesses as well at the stage. You really can't imagine where did they get that idea from but who knows, it seems that D3P really took the pages from Namco's books, which is cute girls doing entertainment for your pleasure.

Listen though, this game was launched in the XBOX 360 in 2009 and then it spawned several games to this franchise, including a mahjong game that seems to be too complicating to play unless you are mingled by the hostesses.

With fans of the Dream Club demanding that Dream Club needs to be on the PS3, it seems that the demand has been fulfilled by bringing two DC games, from the first one to Dream Club ZERO prequel, for the first time on the PS3 with some updated features you won't find it in the Xbox 360 version. Let's start with Dream Club Complete Edipyon.

Dream Club Complete Edipyon
Weird, they called it Edipyon and that's how a stupid way to say "edition" but never mind about that. For the improved version of the first game available for the first time on the PS3, you'll expect the same gameplay from the original XBOX 360 version but with added features from DC Zero, meaning that the mini-games from Dream Club Zero you love such as sticking a banana to the hostess' mouth will be there and this goes in the name of extended hours of gameplay. Also new on this Complete Edipyon is some new outfits that you can personalize your favorite host girls. Yes, I know...

Something tells me that here that when you are growing the affinity between you and the host girl of your choice, you might be able to reveal their profiles. At start, the hostesses' info came up empty. You won't even know who are their real names, their birthdates, anything but as long as you keep on playing with the hostess of your choice, their bios will slowly appear and you know it.

The gameplay of this improved version of the first Dream Club game really looks better on the PS3 console, in fact, this is what D3P should have done in the first place. You'll spend hours and hours and hours playing the Complete Edipyon until you got bored but still, you'll never get bored easily toying around with the hostesses until you're starting to getting to know them. Good point for D3P there...

Dream Club Zero Special Edipyon
Some of you may say you have already tried the Dream Club Zero Portable on your PSVita but that alone might not be enough because what it needs is something on the big scale, well, there's a PS3 version for that. Dream Club Zero Special Edition is somewhat an interesting choice. It maybe just a prequel to the first game but with tons of new characters and new features especially the part where you can date with two host girls, you'll might be interested to this over to the first game and because of its DLC offered, you have a lot of choices to make yourselves comfortable...and addicted to the Dream Club franchise.

Both of these improved versions of two Dream Club games developed specifically for the PS3 might sounds juicy enough for those who said "Aha!" but sadly though, I don't really like it. It's too cheesy, it's too cheeky, and this is not quite an alternative to your ever-loving idol simulation game you once played and loved. The gameplay maybe good but sadly, some parts of the game really made you say "wait a minute, those things are from iM@S, how did they got it?".

There's no need to ask how because if you're not interested in idols, why not hostesses? There's nothing bad about asking what's the point of it but both of these PS3 versions really tickles your fancies unless you may dump idols in favor of hostesses.

Mexican Spring break

On an all new Top Gear, the US version, the boys drove their "college cars" on the trip to San Felipe, Mexico. Tanner has an Eagle Talon (which is an Americanized Mitsubishi Eclipse), Adam drove a Cadillac Brougham, and Rut drives a rear-engine VW Bus.

American car football, mariachi band, luchadors, quincenera, offroad, car pinata, well that's how the trip gets interesting...

After a game of car pinata that ruined Rut's bus, it seems that Tanner and Adam crossed the San Felipe beach, turns out it's a bit quiet than the usual...

...right until the last challenge when Paragliding Eagle crash landed and exploded Cadillac at the beach makes it more than you can say "massive failure" is Spanish...

Maybe a bit massive failure but that's a good trip for the college cars...

CarCrazee app lets you share pics of cars!

Car Crazee

As I know, social media's getting more of a trend for car enthusiasts showing off their rides to their social networking buddies. Even mobile phones or smartphones can't escape that reality either, taking a picture of his or her car and then showing off how good his/her car is to his/her friends.

CarCrazee

That is why there was an app for that. It's called CarCrazee and as the description says, this is a flagship FREE car photo sharing app for the iPhone made by AppLabs Digital Studios. It's FREE TO DOWNLOAD so no charges apply when you download this app and if you did, you can sign in with your Facebook account to get started. All you have to do is take pics of your car and then watch as your friends have a look on your car.

Let's Do The News! (January 30, 2013)

*To further up the ante to this "Let's Do The News" segment, rather than the Top Gear-style method or River Song's diary method or others, let's try a Have I Got News For You method. Let's make a fictional HIGNFY stuff to make this segment fresh...

Man 1: Hello and welcome to Have I Got News For You. My name is [BLEEP] [BLEEP] and in today's top stories, it seems that it's not a good idea dipping a hamburger to a ketchup because your friend may get you noticed why are you dipping your burger to a ketchup....

(audience laughing)

...then if you are ordering a pizza, the best way to pay by cash is by accidentally fall your cash to the floor and ask the delivery guy to come and get it...

(audience laughing)

....and then when basketball players passing balls to their teammate, it seems that the coach joins the passing game...

Coach With The Assist! - Watch More Funny Videos

(audience laughing)

...wow, coach. Seems that you're joining the game as well...kind of...Anyway, that's this week's news and let's begin with on my left panel is a gym teacher of some prestigious college somewhere in the national capital region, whose hobby was collecting...something. It's [BLEEP] [BLEEP]

(cheers and applause)

Gym Teacher: Thank you! Thank you very much....

Man 1: Also next to the gym teacher is some one of my friends I used to hang out after work at Gilligan's Island in Festival Supermall. He's a sort of mokong who kinda feels like Mokujin...kind of....

(audience laughing)

...ladies and gentlemen, it's [BLEEP] [BLEEP]!

(cheers and applause)

Man 2: Why, nice to meet you! Thanks!

Man 1: And now, onto my right panel, she's a teacher from a private school at some province in Luzon. After hours, she loves to make chika to her pals about what's in, what's out, what's ooh, what's eww, well, the usual stuff. It's [BLEEP] [BLEEP]!!!

(cheers and applause)

Teacher: Hi, [BLEEP]! Nice to meet you, too!

Man 1: And lastly, next to her is some gadget junkie who lives at some posh condo in Alabang, Muntinlupa City. He sees his gadgets as an investment as much as toys. Well, I never invested on anything than my life...Say hello to [BLEEP] [BLEEP]!

(cheers and applause)

Man 3: Hi there!

Man 1: And let's begin the show! Now, Mr. Gym Teacher, sir, and my best pal, sir. Sir ma'am sir...I have news for you.

Gym Teacher: What?

Man 1: Say, do you like cars?

Gym Teacher: Uh, oh yes! I like cars. I drove a Toyota FX at work you know.

Man 1: Yeah, right. You're driving a Toyota and if you're a fan of Toyota, here's something that clears everything up...(ahem) There was a report that Toyota Motor Corporation is back at being number one...

Man 2: Number one at what? Number one of having the most number of cars being recalled?!

(audience laughing)

Teacher: Number one at forgetting about the unintended acceleration case?

(audience laughing)

Man 1: Uh...nope. Number one carmaker in the world in terms of sales after it reportedly sold almost ten million cars in 2012, while General Motors is second and Volkswagen's third place.

"Toyota is once again the world's No. 1 carmaker in terms of sales after it reportedly sold 9.75 million vehicles in 2012, according to TheDetroitBureau.com.
In second place is General Motors with 9.29 million vehicles, while Volkswagen comes in at a close third with 9.1 million vehicles"
Source: Top Gear Philippines
Gym Teacher: Wow! Toyota's back at being the number one automaker in the world. I guess that the success of the Toyota 86 sports car really payed of to get this Japanese carmaker back on top after a mass recall in 2010 and the March 11, 2011 disaster at the Tohoku region.

Man 2: Yeah, not bad for Toyota but I think that it may not gonna last longer because as we know, Toyota is still on cases about recalls. I think General Motors may come back on top again because...well, between you and me...have you guys saw the new Corvette?

(audience laughing)

Man 3: I do! And I played that on Gran Turismo 5 via free DLC.

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Final Prototype
Man 2: Aw man! That was the best looking Corvette ever, man! Totally epic!

Man 1: Yeah, totally epic indeed but sadly though, I think I'll pass. I would choose the Viper instead of the Vette...

(audience laughing)

Man 2: Why?

Man 1: Because, I am one of the Viper fans admitting that Vipers are better than Corvettes because Vipers are America's speed kings. The Corvette is...um...how can I say it politely? Well, I don't know...Not my type. Sure, Corvettes have a long history but seems that it's not the right car for me.

Man 2: Aw, come on!

Man 1: Forget about it! Forget about it! I don't like Corvettes and that's the end of it...

(audience laughing)

Man 2: Fine, if that's what you want but for me, I like this new model better. It's better looking than the SRT Viper.

Teacher: Anyway, when I was in the UK, well, I went there to see my friends for a change, my kids saw this show called Tweenies.

Man 1: Tweenies? That show for pre-schoolers called Tweenies?

Teacher: Yes, my kids love this show but sadly, only in the UK so they can only see that show if we're there...

Man 1: Yeah, I know but....there's a news that really bothers me...

Teacher: What is it?

Man 1: There was that news about that encore presentation of the Tweenies as seen on cbeebies, the BBC's pre-school channel, which the episode was aired in 2001 showed some sort of...Jimmy Saville spoof on that episode...

A Jimmy Saville spoof from Tweenies
“BBC apologises after episode of children’s show The Tweenies features character dressed as child sex abuser Jimmy Savile.” Source: Daily Mail

Teacher: Who's Jimmy Saville? I don't who's Jimmy Saville is and what's the big deal about it?

(audience laughing)

Man 3: He was that old guy who died about two years ago. He was once a presenter of some show from the BBC and what I heard is, he's a (whispering) pedophile....

Man 1: A what?

Man 3: He's a pedophile. Jimmy Saville's a child sex abuser who spent his years molesting children. That repeat episode of a classic kids show aired on cbeebies, it sparked tons of complaints saying that this is deem to be inappropriate. Kinda like some episode of a family show that has an inappropriate character on it...

(audience laughing)

Teacher: So you were saying is that Jimmy Saville was a sex offender and a pedophile who sexually abused children during his six-decade tenure in the entertainment industry? My gosh, guess their childhood ruined.

Man 3: You betcha, ma'am. CHILDHOOD RUINED!!!

(audience laughing)

Man 1: Childhood ruined for her kids....good thing that Mr. Jimmy Saville's in hell right now two years ago. Guess he won't be coming back molesting innocent children or for worse some kids shows having characters spoofing or acting like Jimmy Saville. Good thing I don't like Teletubbies....

(audience laughing)

Man 2: Me neither...

Teacher: Why? My kids often watched those while they were young....

Man 1: Trust me, madam but some people say that Teletubbies are a bit...um...gay.

(audience laughing)

Teacher: What?

Man 1: Gets worse, okay? Now, listen. When I was on the internet, I just saw a clip about who are the people behind the Teletubbies and you know what I saw?

All: What?

Man 1: Those...

Teletubbies unmasked

(audience laughing)

All: WHOA!!!!

Teacher: Seriously?

Man 1: Yes it is, ma'am and if that wasn't enough, I went to the internet and I found this...

(audience laughing)

Teacher: You're kidding, right?

Man 3: Wait a minute...are you sure that woman on that pic was used to be that sun with the baby's face on it?

Man 1: Uh...I dunno but...those morons think that this girl was the one. She's that Teletubbies sun baby of some sorts....

Gym Teacher: Oh come on! Perhaps a figure of their childhood memories turned into some kind of a Jersey Shore girl?

(audience laughing)

...I mean come on out here!!!

Man 2: This is just like that Family Guy episode when Stewie went to the BBC to see Jolly Farm Revue, only turned out that everything he saw on TV were fakes, especially the one called Mother Maggie on it. Stewie thinks that she supposed to be lyrical like an angel but turns out she's as rude as hell...Anyone saw that episode?

(all murmuring)

...well, what can I say? Childhood Ruined. It really burns your heart worse than what Moriaty said (mimicks Moriaty) I WILL BURN THE HEART OUT OF YOU!!!!

(audience laughing)

Man 1: Well, that's enough of your Moriaty mimick stuff and...um...there's a lesson that goes "You just realized...kids shows aren't as innocent as you thought". Pretty soon, when kids starting to notice what's behind the scenes on their favorite kids shows, they're going to be shocked and render them traumatized, having their childhood ruined.

Man 3: Yeah, and there's more to that thing you said about ruined childhood. You know, when parents said to their kids about the real truth behind their favorite kids characters, let's just say either Spongebob or Rugrats or Ed Edd and Eddy or Teletubbies or any kind of kids shows; that shocking truth really traumatized the kids. Seems that their parents really want to ruin their kids' childhood memories but who to blame. Better yet, best not to tell the kids the shocking revelations behind their childhood heroes or else...well what can I say? Childhood ruined....

(audience laughing)

Man 1: Thank you for that Mr. Geek-a-tron 3000....(laughing)

Man 3: Hey now, I went on the internet and I found this...

Nissan Elgrand E52
Man 1: What's this?

Man 3: It's a Nissan Elgrand but it's the latest E52 model. It's launched in Japan since the summer of 2010 and it's definitely one of the best Japanese luxury MPVs ever built. Now, it gets even better because what Nissan said is that they've tweaked the Elgrand's Around View Monitor with new features such as Motion Object Detection and Collision Avoidance Assist.

Man 1: Wait a minute...Motion Object Detection? Collision Avoidance Assist? On the Elgrand's Around View Monitor? How does it work, my man?

Man 3: Well, to be honest, the new Motion Object Detection helps detect incoming objects right through the Elgrand's Around View Monitor and that new Collision Avoidance Assist helps the car brake by itself in a near-collision scenario, even backwards. That will help those who are having trouble parking their cars...

Man 1: Yeah, wish I want that kind of car...

(audience laughing)

...oh hey! Heard the news? Seems that the senate's approving the Alternative Fuel Vehicles Incentives Act...that means...

Man 3: That means that Philippines is getting some new eco-friendly electric cars or plug-in hybrids right?

Man 1: Exactly! What?

(audience laughing)

Teacher: Well, when you said about Senate approving the Alternative Fuel Vehicles Incentives Act of 2013, that bill said that there will be incentives given to cars with alternative fuel, especially hybrids, right? I mean here's what really sums it up...

"Based on the bill, fiscal and non-fiscal incentives shall be granted to the importation and manufacture of electric, hybrid and other vehicles that use alternative sources of energy such as, but not limited to, solar, wind, hydrogen fuel cell, compressed natural gas or liquefied natural gas, methane and liquefied petroleum gas."

Man 2: I guess that hybrids are on the rise, right? If that come to fruition, guess we Filipinos will be buying hybrids on a budget thanks to such incentives. Wish Honda Cars Philippines will bring hybrids to compete...

Man 3: Yeah, and you know who's the brainchild responsible on this act?

ALL: Who was it?

Man 3: Among one of them responsible for this bill were none other than...Vicente Sotto III...

Man 1: Tito Sotto? That guy responsible for the anti-cybercrime news?! Oh my goodness, I'm not favor for that kind just because a man who wants to scare us with the "libel" stuff on the anti-cybercrime law was responsible for this....Speaking of which, the TRO's going to expire an everyone's will be all black in the world of social networking here....

(audience laughing)

...and I guess we're running out of time here. And before we go, I just wanna say thanks to the panelists for coming at this day and also...ARE YOU READY FOR SIX NATIONS RUGBY?

Good night, everybody!

(cheers and applause)
