THREATS FROM NORTH KOREA: N. Korea's top nuclear negotiator Kim Yong-chol to carry Kim Jong-un's letter to Pres. Trump

It was reported that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is sending a reply to U.S. President Donald Trump's letter.

CNN says his top aide, Kim Yong-chol, is traveling to the U.S. this week, and is carrying Kim Jong-un's letter.

That's according to CNN correspondent Will Ripley on Twitter.

The CNN reporter also said, Kim Yong-chol is not planning to visit the North Korean mission to the UN in New York.

CNN had previously reported that Kim Yong-chol is arriving in Washington this Thursday, staying overnight, and meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Friday.

The news channel added it is not clear whether he will meet President Trump.

But given that Kim Jong-un's letter is on its way, it is highly likely that Kim Yong-chol will meet President Trump.
.
And that would be Kim Jong-un's reply to Trump's letter that was delivered over the weekend.

The White House says a lot of positive things are happening and President Trump looks forward to meeting Kim Jong-un once again.

But the U.S. State Department is keeping silent, making no confirmations on the latest reports.

In the meantime,in his speech at the State Department, U.S. Vice President Mike Pence said Washington is still waiting for Pyeongyang to take concrete steps to dismantle its nuclear weapons.

Seoul and Washington's working group on North Korea had be video-conferencing to discuss various matters related to the Korean Peninsula.

The two sides talked about "various pending issues," including North Korea-U.S. relations and inter-Korean cooperation.

In a press release on the session, it just said the working group is "taking root as a stage for comprehensive and close coordination" between the allies.'

They launched the separate communication channel last November amid speculation.

Seoul's unification ministry earlier said some humanitarian projects would be discussed in Thursday's session.

Top nuclear negotiators of South Korea and China are scheduled to meet in Seoul on Thursday to discuss the outcome of the fourth North Korea-China summit as well as the possible second North Korea-U.S. summit.

Seoul's foreign ministry says its Special Representative for Korean Peninsula Peace and Security Affairs Lee Do-hoon and his Chinese counterpart Kong Xuanyou will exchange views on the diplomatic efforts to denuclearize the Korean Peninsula.

Forza Horizon 4: Block's RS200

Have you picked up Ken Block's Ford RS200 from a certain seasonal championship in Forza Horizon 4? If you did, congratulations. You just got one of Block's Blue Oval monsters that came from the Old Continent rather than stateside, which explains a lot because of the car's history.

The original RS200 was Ford's would-be entry to the Group B era of World Rally Championship and while it never saw the light of day following the end of Group B rally due to numerous fatalities, Ford managed to build 200 units under homologation purposes.

Block's RS200 uses an Evolution variant of the 4-cylinder turbo engine which produces over 700 horsepower on pump gas but when filled with racing fuel, it produces an additional hundred horsepower. Apart from the engine, Block's RS200 sets the others apart with its custom KW coilovers, custom sueded interior, custom gloss black paint with matte black vinyl wrap, 18-inch Fiftteen52 Forged 3pc Evo SC wheels, and Toyo Tires Proxes R888R.

Now that we got to know about Ken Block's Ford RS200, it's time for a double bill featuring this recent prize car. The first one is where this car takes on the Cotswolds while the second rips through the dirts of Fortune Island. Let's get them rolling.

Enjoy with your new prize car!

THREATS FROM NORTH KOREA: Trump sent letter to North Korean leader over the weekend

According to CNN, U.S. President Donald Trump sent a letter to North Korean leader Kim Jong-un over the weekend.

Citing a source familiar with the ongoing denuclearization talks between the two, CNN on Tuesday reported the letter was flown all the way to Pyeongyang and delivered "by hand".

It is not clear what the letter is about,
but the two leaders have been exchanging letters in the past few weeks.

Kim allegedly sent one late last year,
which Trump referred to as a "great letter" and replied.

While the leaders are actively exchanging letters,
CNN's source also said the vice chairman of North Korea's ruling Workers' Party Central Committee, Kim Yong-chol could visit the U.S.
as early as this week to finalize details of the upcoming second Pyeongyang-Washington summit,
which is highly expected to take place sometime next month.

Kim and his counterpart U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo were supposed to hold talks last November,
but Pyeongyang postponed them due to "scheduling issues."

Although speculations are rising that high-level talks between Kim and Pompeo could take place this week,
the White House is yet to give any official comment,
according to Reuters on Tuesday
while a State Department official said
there is no meeting to announce.

Meanwhile, North Korea's vice foreign minister Choe Son-hui arrived in Beijing Tuesday morning.

Seoul-based Yonhap News Agency quoted Choe as saying,
when asked about North Korea-U.S. talks,
that she was on her way to Sweden for an international conference.

While it is unclear which conference Choe was referring to,speculations are mounting that
she could be sitting down with U.S. officials to prepare for the 2nd Kim-Trump summit.

\

The U.S. State Department has played down reports that
high-level talks between North Korea and the United States
will take place in the coming days,
saying no dates have been set.

This came after South Korean news outlet YTN asked department officials to confirm reports
that U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and
North Korea's Kim Yong-chol will meet this Thursday and Friday.

A Seoul-based newspaper reported on Tuesday that Kim,
who is the North Korean leader's right-hand man, will likely travel to Washington for talks on those dates.

\

A New York Times reports claims that
North Korea may be developing biological weapons,
calling it one of North Korea's "less known military threats."

According to analysis published by the Middlebury Institute of International Studies,
the North is collaborating with foreign researchers to learn biotechnology skills and build relevant machinery.

As a result, they say,
the North's capabilities are increasing rapidly.

Other experts says
satellite images show the North is interested in
biotechnology and germ advances.

THREATS FROM NORTH KOREA: No progress from S. Korea-Japan military talks over radar dispute

\

Senior military officials from Seoul and Tokyo have been holding a meeting to discuss a disputed encounter between a South Korean warship and a Japanese maritime patrol aircraft.

General-level representatives from South Korea and Japan held military talks in Singapore on Monday, trying to resolve their misunderstandings over the dispute about Seoul's use of military radar in search and rescue operations last month.

Despite the talks lasting over ten hours, which took place at both nations' embassies, according to military sources, the two sides only reaffirmed their differences and could not reach any settlements.

Tokyo insists a South Korean warship targeted its fire-control radar on the Japanese maritime patrol aircraft on December 20th.

Seoul denies the claim, saying its warship only used its search radar as the vessel was conducting a humanitarian mission to rescue a North Korean ship in the East Sea.

In December, South Korea and Japan held a working-level video conference over the issue only to confirm their differences.

A day later, Tokyo released video from the aircraft in a bid to back up its claims

RAM 1500 (DT) vs. Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Sierra 1500 (4th Gen)

The newest full-size pickup trucks to hit the American workforce, the all-new Ram 1500 and the all-new trucks from General Motors, the Chevrolet Silverado and the GMC Sierra, translate all of their Republican words into actions by delivering the right amount of space, power, efficiency, and all of their muscles in the era where American trucks are becoming great again or whatever. Doing most of their effort to squeeze the beer out of their top rival, the Ford F-150, these new breed of full-size trucks are showcasing what they can do to the righteous folks, even Cowboy Charlie himself.

2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
2019 GMC Sierra 1500

The Chevrolet Silverado is hailed as the most dependable, longest-lasting, full-size pickup on the road, based on J.D. Power, and with the advent of this new generation, the all-new Silverado is now the strongest, most advanced Silverado ever, and it's the same thing goes to its twin, the all-new GMC Sierra 1500. These new-age light-duty pickup trucks made in the USA are showcasing country folks what they can do for them, starting with the good parts.

At first, the Silverado is cheaper to own than the Sierra because the former starts at 28,300 US Dollars MSRP while the latter starts at 37,800 US Dollars MSRP but despite the nearly ten grand difference, there's more what the Sierra delivers that the new Silverado can't but more than that later on because whichever General Motors' new generation light-duty pickup you choose, you are greeted by its all-new design which is very macho on the new Silverado but grittier on the new Sierra. Apart from their new muscular looks, these new models now have 20% more cargo volume than the opposition because of their best-in-class bed width and length for standard and short boxes and offer more cargo in the short box compared to the competition's standard box.

On the Sierra, meanwhile, storing stuff in the back makes it more convenient with the addition of the Primary Gate Load Stop which prevents stuff from sliding out of the box. Handy if you're storing so much gym equipment ready for delivery. Apart from that, the Sierra's back gates offer more stuff to do than the new Silverado, therefore, the new Sierra does all the work more than its compatriot.

2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 interior
2019 GMC Sierra 1500 interior

On the inside, although intimidating on the outside, the new Sierra and the new Silverado are surprisingly as luxurious as a luxury car, and in some models, they've added their first-ever rear-seatback storage compartments, which is something that the competition doesn't have.

The new Silverado, depending on which model you're on, can be fitted with either a 3.0L Duramax Diesel, 2.7L turbo, 4.3L V6, 5.3L V8, and the 6.2L V8 with Dynamic Fuel Management mated to a 10-speed automatic gearbox. The Sierra, meanwhile, depending on the variant, can be fitted with the same petrol engine choices as the Silverado, especially the 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 engine, but no diesel in sight.

With the 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 engine, it produces 420HP of power and 460lb-ft of torque and has a towing capacity of 12,200lbs, which is great for towing caravans for the trip in the woods and also great for towing a sportscar stuck at the middle of nowhere in need of repairs. To get the most out of its towing capacity, these new trucks come with advanced trailer technology to make them more usable.

In some models, the Silverado and the Sierra can be fitted with special off-road packages, Z71 Off-Road Package for the Silverado and AT4 for Sierra, to make them more capable of handling every single terrain with confidence. The Silverado Z71 fits perfectly in the countryside but the Sierra AT4 easily gets through without all of the drama whatsoever.

For safety, both these trucks are offered with a Forward Collision Alert, Low-Speed Forward Automatic Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Following Distance Indicator, Lane Keep Assist, Rear Camera Mirror, Park Assist, and more.

Although different in every single way, the newest trucks from General Motors are all about getting the job done from 8 in the morning to 11 in the evening, something that Cowboy Charlie would do on a day-to-day basis but if Cowboy Charlie has no interest in those new GM trucks, he would consider the real game changer of light-duty trucks, the all-new RAM 1500.

2019 RAM 1500
2019 RAM 1500 interior

Starting at $31,795 MSRP, the all-new RAM 1500 is a real segment breaker as FCA claims because this new truck beats all of the competition in terms of style, comfort, capability, and performance.

When compared to the competition, the RAM 1500 beats them all with its best-in-class V8 engine towing at up to 12,750lbs, available Active Level Four-Corner Air Suspension, Available Rambox Cargo management to store stuff like a real prepper, best-in-class rear legroom, in-floor storage fit for preppers also, standard 3.6L V6 engine with eTorque producing 305HP of power and 269-lb-ft of torque, standard eight-speed automatic, standard push button start, and the brake rotor size. No light-duty pickup truck in America comes close to the RAM 1500.

It nicked up every award and accolades as well as being named Motor Trend Truck of the Year and such achievement makes the RAM 1500 a clear winner with no questions asked.

So, there you have it, if you are in the mood for light-duty pickup trucks but not in the mood for Blue Ovals, consider the Silverado as an affordable alternative but if you want the best a true American pickup truck has to offer, go for the Ram 1500. Simple as that.

THREATS FROM NORTH KOREA: Ex-Supreme Court Chief summoned by prosecutors for second time over power abuse allegations

Prosecutors summoned Yang Sung-tae, the former Chief Justice of South Korea's Supreme Court, again this morning to question him over a number of judicial power abuse allegations.

Last week,. Yang was questioned over allegations that he used the Supreme Court to lobby for the former Park Geun-hye administration.

He served as the Supreme Court's Chief Justice from 2011 to 2017.

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says the Trump administration is in the process of working out the details of a second Pyeongyang-Washington summit.

Speaking to CBS's 'Face the Nation' on Sunday, Pompeo was asked when President Trump will sit down with the North Korean leader.

Pompeo said they are discussing the details, and that she will be the first to know, referring to Margaret Brennan, the host of the CBS show.

Hopes are high that North Korea and the United States will soon hold their second summit.

And there's lots of speculation about where it might happen.

The Japanese paper Yomiuri Shimbun reported on Sunday that U.S. President Donald Trump suggested to North Korean leader Kim Jong-un that they meet in mid-February in Vietnam.

The report says that although various venues, such as Indonesia and Mongolia are also being considered, Vietnam is the most likely.

But North Korea is yet to respond.

The Straits Times also reported that Vietnam is the favorite.

Sources in Washington told the Singapore-based news outlet that the shortlist may be down to Vietnam and Thailand, and that both of them have offered venues.

But the report adds that the Thai government plans to hold a general election by March.

And according to CNN last week, the White House has already surveyed locations in Hanoi, Bangkok and Hawaii.

The inter-Korean truce village of Panmujeom could be another option.

Citing diplomatic sources South Korean news agency YTN reported that officials from the U.S. State Department went to Panmunjeom sometime at the beginning of this year.

Nothing has been announced as of yet.

But at the start of the year, Kim and Trump both expressed strong hopes for a second round of talks.

Washington also announced on Saturday, that it will ease restrictions on humanitarian assistance to Pyeongyang.

President Moon Jae-in is set to hold his first meeting of the year with his top aides this afternoon;
it will be the first meeting of its kind since President Moon replaced his chief of staff, senior secretary for political affairs, and senior secretary for public relations last Tuesday.

The Blue House skipped the meeting last week as President Moon was busy meeting with about 200 small and medium-sized business leaders.

During today's meeting, it is likely that President Moon will try to encourage his new staff members and once again call for his aides' full effort to help the administration's economic policies bring about tangible results.
