During the race, seven safety car periods were implemented, primarily due to incidents caused by wet conditions and crashes. Major incidents occurred at Griffins Bend and The Cutting. Heavy rain started halfway through the race, reducing visibility and creating treacherous driving conditions for the final stretch. Key moments included Golding colliding with Murray at Griffins Bend, Stanaway crashing at The Cutting, and Payne skillfully managing a wild slide at The Chase.

Thanks to the #31 PremiAir Racing Camaro of James Golding and David Russell, demoted to third place after the penalty, despite crossing to the finish line in P1, the #100 Penrite Racing Ford Mustang of Matthew Payne and Garth Tander is named the winner, putting Ford back to the summit of Mount Panorama. The #20 TRADIE Energy Camaro of David Reynolds and Lee Holdsworth finished in 2nd place.
