NTT IndyCar Series 2024 - Firestone Grand Prix of Monterey

The 2024 NTT IndyCar Series completes the trio of races that occurred on the first Sunday of Summer 2024 in North America with the Firestone Grand Prix of Monterey in the legendary Laguna Seca.

The action in Laguna Seca began with Alex Palou and Kyle Kirkwood edging side-by-side in the opening lap. It continued with Scott McLaughlin going off-track on lap 26, then Luca Giotto crashing on lap 35, and Nolan Siegel clipping the wall on the lap 41 restart.

With Colton Herta leading, Alex Palou was homing onto Herta on lap 64 to retake the lead. With 22 laps to go, Christian Lundgaard sent Marcus Armstrong off the track. And with 9 laps left, Graham Rahal and Kyffin Simpson got involved in a crash.

After an intense Sunday thriller in the Seca, Alex Palou wins the Firestone Grand Prix of Monterey. Colton Herta finished 2nd and Alexander Rossi finished 3rd.

Palou leads with 285 points while Will Power is in 2nd with 262 points and Scott Dixon is in 3rd with 253 points.

The next race is the Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio this July 7th, 2024.

2024 NASCAR Cup Series - USA Today 301

The 2024 NASCAR Cup Series rang out the first Sunday of Summer 2024 with the USA Today 301 race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

The 2024 NASCAR Cup Series race at New Hampshire had a lot of wild moments. It started off with the green flag waving and quickly transitioned into Christopher Bell winning Stage 1. Stage 2 saw chaos unfold with Daniel Hemric spinning out followed by smoke spewing onto Alex Bowman’s car. As if that weren’t enough, Noah Gragson and Kyle Busch became involved in a wreck on Lap 154. Denny Hamlin then won Stage 2. The last stage saw a crash on Lap 194 due to Joey Logano’s locked tire. This was followed by a series of other wrecks. The race was put on pause due to rainfall, but when it started back up, Brad Keselowski spun and put the race into overtime. The excitement was endless!

Braving through the weather and the chaos involved in NHMS, Christopher Bell wins the USA TODAY 301 of the NASCAR Cup Series!

It was a wild race filled with crashes and other dramatic moments. We saw Christopher Bell take the lead in the first stage, and Denny Hamlin came out on top in the second stage. The last stage had yet another crash, and then the race was paused due to rain. Ultimately, Bell won the race. 

We’re looking forward to the next race at Nashville for the Ally 400 on June 30th.

2024 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship - Sahlen's Six Hours of the Glen

It's the first Sunday of summer 2024, and the Watkins Glen racetrack is hosting Sahlen's Six Hours of the Glen, the first in the 2024 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. 

Even the heavy rainfall that brought the race to a temporary halt couldn't stop this race from sending the message that the summer racing season is here. This six-hour multi-class endurance race is going to get the summer started right.

What a race! It was such a nail-biter, but the #7 Porsche Penske Motorsport 963 was the last car standing at the Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen this weekend. A major congrats to the team for this well-deserved win. Fans are also pumped for the #88 Richard Mille AF Corse ORECA LMP2 07, the #23 Heart of Racing Vantage GT3 EVO, and the #57 Winward Racing Mercedes AMG GT3 for their wins in their respective classes. This race is the perfect way to kick off the summer season.

The next race is the Chevrolet Grand Prix in Canadian Tire Motorsport Park this July 12-14.

F1 2024: Aramco Gran Premio de España

The 2024 Formula 1 season continues with the Aramco Gran Premio de España at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Drama is already at a fever pitch. Will Charles Leclerc reclaim his lead in the driver’s championship? Will Red Bull continue their dominance? Let's find out.

The action in Barcelona kicks off with George Russell sweeping around the outside of Turn 1 to take the lead until Max Verstappen takes it two laps later. Come Lap 16, George Russell became the first to pit and it's a slow one. As Verstappen pits on Lap 18 followed by Lando Norris on Lap 24, Lap 32 saw Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris clashing for P3 followed by Norris and Russell biting each other for P2. With 25 laps left, it became a duel between Verstappen and Norris for the lead. Is there anyone who can stop Verstappen?

Max Verstappen made headlines in Barcelona as he beat Lando Norris to win the Spanish Grand Prix, with Lewis Hamilton finishing in third place.

Verstappen has the lead with 219 points. Lando Norris has jumped to 2nd place with 150 points, and Charles Leclerc is in 3rd place with 148 points. Where will things stand after the next race? Will this be the season where Verstappen cements his legacy? What do you think?

The next race is at Spielberg for the Qatar Airways Austrian Grand Prix on June 30th, 2024. Will Red Bull continue their dominance, or will Ferrari or McLaren take back the lead? The season is heating up, and this race is sure to be a scorcher.

In the previous episode titled The Legend of Ruby Sunday, The Doctor and Ruby Sunday seek help from UNIT to uncover the mysterious woman popping up on their adventures as well as Ruby's true mother. Although they failed to find Ruby's real mother, the unmasking of Susan Triad led them to the resurrection of Sutekh, the god of death.

With Sutekh reborn, armageddon was unleashed in Empire of Death, the Season 1 finale of Doctor Who: The 15th Doctor saga.

F1 Academy 2024 - Barcelona

The 2024 F1 Academy season continues in Barcelona.

Doriane Pin is back to work in Barcelona, setting an example for other female drivers and proving that she’s made a full recovery from the injury that forced her to miss Le Mans.

She’s ready to take on the two-part race in the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya as the 2024 F1 Academy season continues. Fans are excited to watch her compete and see what she can do on the track. They are also happy to see other women working to push the boundaries of what they can accomplish.

The first part saw Abbi Pulling, the Rodin Motorsport driver representing Alpine, score another victory in Spain while Nerea Marti finished 2nd and Chloe Chambers finished 3rd. In the final part, meanwhile, Chloe Chambers scored her first-ever F1 Academy win, sending Haas to the top of the podium for the very first time. Pulling, meanwhile, finished 2nd, and Hamda Al Qubaisi finished 3rd.

The F1 Academy 2024 season continues in Zandvoort this August 23-25.

The 2024 Formula DRIFT Pro Championship is coming to Englishtown, New Jersey next. This is THE GAUNTLET, the event that officially kicks off the summer drifting season. It’s going to be an exciting time for anyone who loves fast cars and drifting.

By unanimous decision, James Deane was victorious over Aurimas Bakchis in the finals. Adam LZ came in third after being defeated by Bakchis in the semi-finals.

The next event is at St. Louis, Missouri for CROSSROADS this July 18-20.
