Forza Motorsport 6: The Ferrari LaFerrari

The McLaren P1 and the Porsche 918 are the hypercars that know how to balance motorsport-inspired performance and everyday ecology at the same pace to deliver an unbiased blend no supercars had done before, serving the template for future sportscars for many years to come. If the P1 and the 918 wanted to have a battle to decide who's superior, it must first face this; the Ferrari LaFerrari, a hybrid hypercar served as the pinnacle of Maranello engineering.

No miserable V8s, no puny little turbochargers, the sound of the LaFerrari's 6.3L V12 naturally-aspirated engine are in synched in perfect harmony and that is how a supercar should sound like. It's no wonder how James May found his admiration to this car and this car can edge out the likes of the P1 and the 918 in terms of performance.

Of course, this is a hybrid just like the other two, meaning the V12 engine that powers it to the middle is bolted with an electric motor and a battery. However, unlike the McLaren and the Porsche that can run on electricity alone, the LaFerrari doesn't have that kind of feature because Ferrari is not heavily interested in electric power alone. Instead, the LaFerrari comes with HY-KERS (Hybrid-Kinetic Energy Recovery System), a tech similar to the one used in Formula One cars. It captures energy during braking and feeds it back when needed. That's why the engine-motor combination are all working together and cannot be separated, therefore it produces 963HP of power and 663lb-ft of torque, while mated with a 7-speed F1 gearbox.

Now normally, I was going to try the LaFerrari in its private track to show just how it lives up to be the fastest Ferrari ever made but sadly, Forza Motorsport 6 doesn't have one. However, I just found the next best thing to try out the LaFerrari; Monza.

With such power output, the LaFerrari can easily take down the P1 and the 918 at ease and with the 218mph top speed, it's the fastest of the hybrid hypercar trio as well. It's not just the speed it delivers, it's the dynamics is what made the LaFerrari unique thanks to its bodywork that was built entirely from different kinds of carbon fiber as well as the lowered center of gravity but it's the high-tech active aerodynamics that sets them apart and because it's computer-controlled; the faster the LaFerrari goes through the corner, the better it works. Sure, this is as dynamic to drive as the P1 because of its rear-wheel drive but it's not merely a widowmaker.

Humor me, now with the evaluation over the LaFerrari is well done, I believe that I can now do a quick comparo between the three hybrid hypercars round the Top Gear track later on. I can't wait to see which of these three is the greatest.

The Kalyeserye Lunchtime Showdown

The recent Kalyeserye segment on Eat Bulaga sees the lolas and Yaya Dub entered the house of Ms. Caitlyn Smash, Yaya Dub's stepmom and the lolas' worst enemy, packed with bands, foreignoys, and lunch.

While the lolas are having a confrontation with Dudang, Alden's back from his Dubai gig as well as Jake from another country to do Yaya Dub's school project. The two of them finally met each other and the confrontation is straight to the lunch table where everything's gone full circle.

During lunch, Dudang finally spoke to Yaya Dub about what's inside the box she got from her birthday last week. Inside the box, there's a key but for what? Lola Nidora had a look at it. That key is...could this be the key the mansion?!

Is it really the key to the mansion inside the box Yaya Dub got from her birthday?! Keep watching Eat Bulaga every weekdays for more Kalyeserye antics! In the meantime, don't miss the Eat Bulaga Lenten specials from the 21st to the 23rd of March, 2016. See you again.

The Destiny Rose finale

In the finale of GMA's rather controversial, yet compelling, drama series about a transgender named Destiny Rose, moments after Destiny (Ken Chan) was pushed by Jasmine and suffered from a comatose, he survived and now he's reunited with his mother Daisy and sister April. However, Jasmine still has other plans now that Destiny's returned. Jasmine plots to kill Destiny until Destiny's dad, Lito, popped up to stop Jasmine and save Destiny, despite his hatred to his transgender son.

Now that the threat to Destiny's life is finally over, the family finally reconcile with peace, although his father Lito is still unknown after he saved his life. Minutes later, Gabriel (Fabio Ide), the love of Destiny's life, admitted his true feelings to Destiny and he loves Destiny for who he is.

In the end, Gabriel finally engaged to Destiny, making this the happiest moment in Destiny's life. Even his closest friends are more than happy to see Destiny fulfilled his...destiny. Despite his happiness, there is one person missing in his life...his father. However, Destiny got a card and inside, there's a family photo and a medal that he got during his years as Joey, knowing that his dad was very proud of his achievements, and after all that, his father finally came. Despite his hatred towards his son, he finally reconcile with Destiny and accepted him no matter who he is.

And that concludes the colorful story of a transgender who tries to fulfill his destiny and overcome the odds of his life, no matter who he is. I hope the story of Destiny Rose will serve as an utmost inspiration for dreamers and believers, especially those from the LGBT community. Like Destiny's life, there's always a rainbow at the end of the rainfall and hope this story will be as colorful as anyone around here.

THREATS FROM NORTH KOREA: NoKor leader ordered his officials to ready the attacks

The North's Korean Central News Agency said today that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un ordered his officials to get ready to carry out nuclear attacks and conduct more nuclear tests. The NoKor leader stressed the need to further develop nuclear weapons and diversify the means of delivering nuclear warheads in order to "make nuclear strikes at the enemies form anywhere, even underwater".

Kim gave militant tasks to conduct more nuclear explosion tests to estimate the destructive power of the newly produced nuclear warheads and other tests to improve nuclear capability. The KCNA said without disclosing when the drill took place.

Yesterday, North Korea fired two short-range ballistic missiles into the East Sea as an act of protest against the ongoing US-South Korean joint military drill.

Remembering Tohoku, five years later...

March 11, 2016 marks the fifth anniversary of the dreaded Tohoku earthquake and tsunami as well as the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster. So, five years has passed since the terrible disasters and I'm not very sure how are things going on in the affected Japanese region. Let me give you quick brief about what happened five years ago.

It was the 11th of March, 2011, at the Tohoku Region of Japan, when a magnitude-9 earthquake triggered a nightmarish tsunami that was more than 10 meters high.  According to reports, over 18,500 people were either dead or unaccounted for while almost 3,000 people died while evacuated from their homes. During the powerful quake and tsunami, the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant has been destroyed, causing one of the most terrifying nuclear disasters since the Chernobyl incident thirty years ago.

I know that efforts to contain the radiation from the Fukushima Daiichi takes a lot of time but I believe that this plant is a symbol of nuclear awareness and having learned their lessons from Fukushima, some people aware of this incident have to take precautions to their remaining nuclear plants not just in Japan but also worldwide.

Despite recovery in the affected areas, the pain from what happened five years ago is still reeling from the people and I'm not sure how will move on to their normal lives after the disasters.

I have nothing else to say but to wish the people the very best to move away from the pain they felt five years ago and continue on what they do best.

Ganbarou, Nippon!
