Top Gear S29 FINALE

The 29th season of Top Gear, aired on its new home channel BBC One, shows that even in the "new normal" we still have to enjoy the coolest and weirdest cars by all means necessary. In the season finale, the boys are wrapping up the "new normal" season with three electric cars and an ice cream offroader.

Top Gear S29 FINALE

The Season 29 finale sees Paddy McGuinness came up with a crazy idea; creating an offroad ice cream truck he named Mr. Nippy. Paddy's latest offroad invention was put to the test in the streets of Blackpool until the producers sent him and his invention to an even punishable location fit enough for Mr. Nippy's torture test; an old military area on Salisbury Plain.

The season finale also see three of the latest electric cars; the Vauxhall Corsa-e, the Mini Cooper SE, and the Honda e, taking on challenges at an empty Alton Towers theme park.

So there we are; the "new normal" Top Gear featured Paddy's offroad inventions, a tribute to the late Sir Stirling Moss, the Cyprus road trip, the retro supercar clash, grand tourers, and all leading up to one record-breaking moment where the Ferrari SF90 became the fastest to get round the Top Gear Test Track. It all makes common-ish sense now.

This concludes the 29th season of Top Gear. See you next season!

Top Gear S29E03

It's a rental car adventure and a debate between the RS6 and the Urus in the recent episode of Top Gear.

Top Gear S29E03

Chris Harris and Paddy McGuinness are on a heated debate between two of the fastest family cars on sale today, the Audi RS6 Avant and the Lamborghini Urus. They took these two on a series of challenges until one is deemed the winner. At the hands of The Stig, the RS6 lapped the track in 1:21.9.

Meanwhile, in Cyprus, the boys begin their rental car adventures that cost them 30 euros for the whole weekend. Paddy rented a Ford, Chris rented a Kia, and Fred rented a Suzuki. With the rental cars on their arsenal, the boys took on series of challenges to prove their worth, especially the silly ones.

Next time, a road trip with grand tourers and a tribute to Sir Stirling Moss.

Top Gear S29E02

The latest episode of Top Gear features three 200mph supercar legends and a brilliantly stupid stunt.

Top Gear S29E02

In that episode, Chris Harris, Freddie Flintoff, and Paddy McGuinness are in Yorkshire for a road trip with three supercar legends capable of breaching the 200mph top speed mark; the Ferrari F40, the Jaguar XJ220, and the Lamborghini Diablo. They are involved in some speed tests and an inevitable accident no one saw it coming.

Meanwhile, the boys introduced themselves to a brilliantly stupid stunt known as The Wall of Death. They even attempt to try for themselves and survive.

Next time, a rental car adventure in Cyprus, car water-skiing, and the debate between the RS6 Avant and the Urus.

Top Gear S29E01

New normal, new home channel, new stage, same old Top Gear. The 29th season of Top Gear marks the beginning because it now airs on its new channel, BBC One.

Top Gear S29E01

Because we live in the "new normal", the presenters have turned the Top Gear Test Track into an outdoor stage with lots and lots of cars parked and audiences filled the track in a socially distanced manner.

Anyway, the season opener, what was it about? Oh yeah, the 29th season kicked off with Freddie Flintoff, Paddy McGuinness, and Chris Harris are spending 24 hours inside the cars while trekking through the city of Bolton. Using the Tesla Model 3, BMW 3-Series G20, and the third-generation Volvo S60, the boys are trying to find out if the sedan magic still remains in the midst of the crossover craze.

Far away, Chris Harris tries out Ferrari's new hybrid supercar, the SF90 Stradale. When handed to The Stig, the SF90 set a new Top Gear Test Track record in 1:11.3!

What a way to start the new season of Top Gear in its new home channel, BBC One. Expect more to come in the "new normal" Top Gear.

Top Gear S28 FINALE

It's the end of an era as the last Top Gear episode to be aired on BBC Two before transitioning to BBC One later this year is all about first responders, Colin McRae tribute, the BMW M8, and Tom Allen.

Top Gear S28 FINALE

In the finale, Paddy McGuinness is at the Top Gear Track to take on the first-ever BMW M8 and see if its better than the Audi R8 and the Honda NSX. When handed to The Stig, it set a lap time of 1:26.2 in the wet.

Then, Chris Harris pays tribute to one of the most iconic rally drivers in history, Colin McRae. He even take a spin at McRae's championship-winning Subaru Impreza rally car as well.

After that, Tom Allen is the last SIARFC of the season and he did it in 1:51.1 in damp conditions.

Ending the season is the emergency vehicles challenge where the boys figure out which of the emergency vehicles is the quickest. They summoned a police van, a fire truck, and an ambulance and then take on series of challenge to see which of the emergency vehicles really is, you guessed it, THE fastest first responder to get through an emergency scenario.

And that really is the end of the era of Top Gear on BBC Two as they know it. After several decades of being on air at BBC Two, Top Gear is now officially leaving BBC Two as the next season will see this show packed their belongings and move into their new home channel; BBC One.

2TV to 1TV wise, expect more from Chris Harris, Paddy McGuinness, and Freddie Flintoff as they will take on more craziness, more fast cars, and more stuff as they set to return for a new season at their new home channel. See you next season!

Top Gear S28E05

A Yorkshire road trip in the latest sports cars, a date with the VW ID-R, and KSI at the track. That's the fifth episode of the 28th season of Top Gear.

Top Gear S28E05

In this episode, the boys set off on a Yorkshire road trip in three new sports cars in honor of the genre's centennial birthday. Freddie drives the new Aston Martin Vantage while Chris drives the new Porsche 911 and Paddy drives the Ferrari Portofino. They took on series of challenges to prove which one is the best.

There's even a drag race segment between a weird-looking bike, a heavily-tuned GT-R, and a shed?

Meanwhile, Chris Harris returns to Portimao to sample Volkswagen's record-breaker electric racer, the ID R.

Viral sensation KSI is this week's SIARFC and lapped round the Top Gear Track in 1:53.9 in very wet conditions.

Next week is the season finale, which will be the last Top Gear episode to be aired on BBC Two before the switch to BBC One next season. Expect first responders, Colin McRae tribute, the BMW M8, and Tom Allen in the season finale.

Top Gear S28E04

The Baja 1000, a hot hatch, a new Porsche sportscar, a classic Lambo, and Laurence and Emilia Fox. That's what the fourth episode of the 28th season of Top Gear's all about.

Top Gear S28E04

At the track, Chris Harris samples the ultimate Megane ever made, the Renaultsport Megane Trophy-R, a super hot hatch with the price of either a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 or a second-hand Lamborghini Gallardo, both brought by Paddy McGuinness and Freddie Flintoff to serve a point and then some ridiculous tests to see if the super Megane stands out against a duo of sportscars.

Then, somewhere in Mexico, Chris and Freddie take on the most extreme offroad challenge in the world; the Baja 1000.

Laurence and Emilia Fox are this week's STAR IN A REASONABLY FAST CAR and in the track, the former did it in 1:45.6 while the latter did it in 2:01.9.

Next time; a Yorkshire road trip in the latest sports cars, a date with the VW ID-R, and KSI at the track.

BBC Top Gear renewed for 29th season, moves to BBC One

The hit motoring TV show Top Gear has been on BBC Two for several years now since 1977 but after the currently airing Series 28th, all will be changed because while Top Gear got renewed for 29th season coming this year, the biggest news is they're moving to a new channel at BBC One.

Top Gear
BBC's Top Gear is now moving to BBC One later this year starting with Season 29, as confirmed by presenters Chris Harris and Freddie Flintoff during an interview at BBC Breakfast.

Ever since Flintoff and Paddy McGuinness joined alongside Chris Harris last year, Top Gear is back to its crazier self thanks to its newly-found comic mischief they've pulled during their big trips and challenges as well as test driving the latest cars on the track and on the road. Such success prompted the BBC to revive the Christmas Special after three years.

With Top Gear now moving to BBC One later this year for Season 29, expect big, insane, and fast things coming out from Harris, Flintoff, and McGuinness themselves.

Top Gear S28E03

A Peruvian roadtrip with second-hand cars and an electric Porsche are the focus of the third episode of the 28th season of BBC's Top Gear. Let's sum it!

Top Gear S28E03

In this episode, the boys set off to an epic Peruvian roadtrip with second-hand cars built from the ages of the great American roadtrip. First off, Paddy McGuinness bought off a Pontiac Trans-Am with the roof sawed off by someone while Chris Harris goes for the old Dodge Dart, and Freddie Flintoff opted for a VW bus. With their cars set, the boys are trying to survive the elements Mother Nature thrown at them while keeping their cars alive and kicking, well, sort off, during their Peruvian road trip.

Meanwhile, Chris Harris is at the Top Gear Test Track, sampling out Porsche's first-ever electric sports saloon, the Taycan. When given to The Stig, it set a lap time of 1:17.6.

Next time, the Baja 1000, a hot hatch, a new Porsche sportscar, a classic Lambo, and Laurence and Emilia Fox.

Top Gear S28E02

Brexit's already hit Britain but it's business as usual for Top Gear as this episode features the long-awaited rematch between a hypercar and a fighter jet as well as a cut-price offroad creation Paddy imagined.

Top Gear S28E02
First of, Padddy McGuinness came up with an idea to create a cut-price solution to the all-new Land Rover Defender, using an old Bedford Rascal as its base. The result? The Dirty Rascal, a budget offroader with some creature comforts at the back. The gang took the Dirty Rascal through series of torture tests to see if whether or not their homemade offroader is worth driving everywhere.

Then, there's the big one as  Chris and Paddy went to the RAF Marham air base for the long-awaited rematch between a hypercar and a fighter jet. This time, they've pitted the best of the British, the all-new McLaren Speedtail, against the RAF's newest addition, an American-made F-35B Lightning II. So much for the so-called special relationship.

Romesh Ranganthan is this episode's Star in a Reasonably Fast Car and he did it in 1:53.9 in Very Wet conditions.

Next time, the boys' Peruvian adventure in second-hand American cars and the Porsche Taycan at the test track.

Top Gear S28E01

Brexit is almost here but Harris, McGuinness, and Flintoff returned for their craziest Top Gear yet as Season 28 begins with new and exciting cars heading their way as well as their mind-blowing antics that will keep them entertained even in Brexit. The first episode of the new season is all about convertibles, Ariel Atom, and yes, bungee jumping in a car.

Top Gear S28E01
In the Season 28 premiere, the boys spend 600 Pounds on second-hand convertibles and set off on a road trip from Bognor Regis to Essex. Freddie went for the Chrysler Lebaron, Chris in the Mercedes SLK, and Paddy in a Ford Escot. The three went off to series of challenges such as getting squirted by lube, attacked by golf balls, getting stranded in the sea, and more, not to mention driving with their costumes on.

At the track, Chris Harris tries out the Ariel Atom 4, the latest breed of the best track toy in the world. When handed to The Stig, it set a 1:25.3 lap time in the wet.

And it all ends with the big one where they bungee-jumped a Metro, with Freddie in it, from a dam.

Next time; the Dirty Rascal, Speedtail vs. F35, and Romesh Ranganathan.

Top Gear Christmas Special 2019

After three years of not having Christmas specials, BBC's hit motoring TV show Top Gear brings back the epic Christmas special package with the three presenters taking on an epic Nepal road trip with three different used cars.

Top Gear Nepal Special
With a budget of five grand, the presenters bought second hand "city cars" to see if they are tough enough to tackle the brave new reality the human population are facing with; city life. Chris Harris opted for a Renault 4, Paddy McGuinness goes for the Peugeot 106 Rallye, and Freddie Flintoff went around Nepal and bought a Hulas Mustang.

Their mission is to get their second-hand "city cars" from their starting point at Kathmandu to the Forbidden City of Lo Manthang, which is hidden somewhere in the Himalayas. It's a high-risk mission for the three presenters as they are pouring so much blood, sweat, and tears to survive the most punishing roads the Himalayas are throwing at, even themselves.

What a way to end the decade with the return of the Top Gear special at the hands of three blokes who finally got their motoring idiocy on their brains now and as the new decade starts, Harris, Flintoff, and McGuinness will return for the next series coming to BBC Two soon.

Let's hope Top Gear will survive the dreaded Brexit era.

Top Gear S27 FINAL

It took the world five weeks to get to know about the newest addition of the Top Gear team, Freddie Flintoff and Paddy McGuinness, along with the returning Chris Harris as well, but despite a short span of this season, we've seen the three doing incredibly childish stuff while sampling out the best and the brightest sports cars the world has ever known. In the fifth and final episode of the season, this is where the trio show their true colors.

Top Gear S27 FINAL

In the season finale, Paddy tries out the brand new Toyota GR Supra, the return of "the sports of Toyota", as he tries this one round the track until Chris Harris and the new BMW Z4 popped up for a bit of an argument.

Then, Freddie Flintoff's in Iceland , competing in one of the dirtiest motor racing of all, the Formula Off Road.

Later, Chris Harris takes the viewers to a quick history tour about the legendary Lotus 79 and takes this legendary Formula One car for a spin round Lotus's Norfolk HQ.

Will Young is the last Star In A Reasonably Fast Car of this season.

So, there we are; the 488 Pista became the fastest car to lap the Top Gear Track, the Ethiopian road trip, the electric car road trip, the Borneo offroad trip, the banger hearse, Formula Off-Road, what more can you ask from the newest and maddest Top Gear trio ever assembled?

That concludes the 27th season of Top Gear.

Forza Horizon 4: Gifts from Top Gear

The recent Forza Horizon 4 update introduces us to a brand new Horizon Story I'm sure most are interested to play it, whether they like it or not. It's the Top Gear Horizon Special and with voiceover by Top Gear presenter Chris Harris, players will take on challenging stuff to win prizes from this new Horizon Story.

The Top Gear Horizon Special features a series of unpredictable, challenging, chapters to clear, leading up to the climax where players will drive a truck carrying a special surprise at the back to the target destination. Perform outstanding results and they can win prizes such as The Stig's costume, the "I Am The Stig" shirt, and the cars lined up from the Top Gear Horizon Special.

This is the Track-tor, a V8-powered tractor Matt LeBlanc made from a certain episode of Top Gear and with its 87.2mph top speed, it was verified by Guinness World Record as the world's fastest tractor. It took two years to build it, did you know.

Next on the list is the "Project E-AT", a current-generation Mercedes-Benz E350d All-Terrain lightly modified by the Top Gear Magazine staff for their trip to the very eastern edge of Estonia on the Russian border or tracking bears, whatever the TG magazine staff said.

And now, the special surprise...

A first in Forza; a six-wheeler in the form of a previous-generation Mercedes G-Class. It's called the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6x6, a 5.5L V8 BiTurbo-powered, six-wheeled, monstrosity only the privileged few can conquer the ends of the earth with its signature 6x6 technology, independent and neutral chassis, portal axles, five differential locks, 7G-TRONIC gearbox, and more. What more can you ask from this colossal Graz titan?

Anyway, now that I got my hands on these three prize cars obtained for performing outstanding results on the Top Gear Horizon Special (just nail three stars on all chapters, okay?), let's give these three Stig-approved machines a quick drive to see what they're made of.

The "I Am The Stig" shirt, The Stig's costume, and three new prize vehicles are yours to keep after nailing all three stars per chapter on the Top Gear Horizon Special and if you got them all, what's your favorite so far? Most say you love the G63 6X6, others like the Track-tor, but a few like me like the Project E-AT. Still, these three are really awesome to drive and they are Stig-approved for your Stig-ness.

Enjoy!

Top Gear S27E04

An offroad road trip across Borneo in two second-hand classics, a Rolls-Royce SUV, and Bob Mortimer. That's the 4th episode of this season's Top Gear.

Top Gear S27E04

In this episode, Paddy McGuinness and Freddie Flintoff are venturing across Borneo in two second hand cars; a Matra-Simca Bagheera and the least-lovable Austin Allegro Estate. With so many rough, unforgiving terrain Borneo throws at them, these two not only put these forgotten classics to the test but themselves because this is going to be one dirty job indeed for the newcomers.

Wheres the two got themselves dirty, Chris Harris, not a big fan of SUVs, samples Rolls-Royce's first ever SUV, the Cullinan, into the English wilderness.

Bob Mortimer is this episode's Star In a Reasonably Fast Car.

Top Gear S27E03

A hearse turned banger racer, a road car made by the world-renowned chassis expert, and the Tindalls going all out, that's the third episode of the 27th season of Top Gear.

Top Gear S27E03

In this episode, Paddy McGuinness believed that the ultimate family car is of course a hearse and to test this theory, he bought one, show Chris Harris and Freddie Flintoff on the track, and modify it into the ultimate family car. To see if it works, the producers sent their family hearse to a series of challenges, leading up to the banger racing challenge where too much carnage involved.

Then, Chris Harris samples Dallara's first-ever road car, the Stradale, and see if its better than the Lotus 3-Eleven. At the hands of The Stig, the Dallara Stradale did it in 1:12.8, the second fastest car in the leaderboard.

Zara and Mike Tindall are this week's SIARFC and whereas the female Tindall did it in 1:41.6, the male Tindall did it in 1:40.5.

Top Gear S27E2

The latest Top Gear episode goes electric, literally, as the boys gathered their electric cars for some insane challenges while a baby Tesla is tested to see if it can beat the blasts from the pasts.

Top Gear S27E2
In this episode, it's about homemade electrics taking on series of electrifying challenges leading up to the 24 minutes of Mansfield. Chris Harris converted an old Triumph into an electric car, Freddie Flintoff brought in a Subaru BRAT pickup and turned it into an electric, of course, and Paddy McGuinness cheats by bringing a proper electric car, the Nissan LEAF, and then giving the electric car some boy racer look. With their electrics set, the trio set off to a road trip across the Midlands, a series of challenges, all leads up to the 24 minutes of Mansfield.

At the Top Gear Track, Chris Harris tries out the new Tesla Model 3 saloon and see if it lives up to its promise that it can be faster than "anything in its class." When handed to The Stig, the Model 3 did in 1:21.5.

Director Danny Boyle and Yesterday actor Himesh Patel are this week's Star in a Reasonably Fast Car. Danny got round the track in 1:44.7 while Himesh did it in 1:44.8.

Top Gear S27E01

The 27th Series of BBC Top Gear promises to be the craziest Top Gear of this era because joining alongside Chris Harris are two new presenters, Freddie Flintoff and Paddy McGuinness, as the new Top Gear team are doing crazy stuff while sampling the best machines on Planet Earth.

Top Gear S27E01

The 27th series kicked off with an sorta epic road trip at Ethiopia, known to be the birthplace of humankind, as the three presenters set off with what they're known to be the finest example of every driver's first car. Chris drives a Mini, Freddie drives a Porsche Boxster, and Paddy drives a Ford Escort Mk2. With cars like these, the boys set off to their Ethiopian adventure filled with vast mountains, world heritage sites, and the hottest year-round place on Earth, the Danakil Depression.

On the track, meanwhile, Chris Harris samples two of the most hardcore mid-engined exotics on the road today, the Ferrari 488 Pista and the McLaren 600LT. When handed to the Stig, the 488 Pista overtook last season's 911 GT2 RS to become Top Gear Track's fastest car at the time of 1:12.7 while the 600LT did it in 1:15.1

As the world gone mad nowadays, the 27th series of Top Gear is going to be mad as hell thanks to the new team assembled for such purpose but still, there's a lot of fun things waiting for you this summer on Top Gear.
