The Aventador in Gran Turismo 5

Song played in my Personal BGM: arcadia by Chihaya Kisaragi (CV: Asami Imai)

From the album: THE IDOLM@STER MASTER ARTIST 2 -FIRST SEASON- 05 Chihaya Kisaragi
Are we doing that again, Stig?

Welcome to the first all-new Lamborghini for over a decade, the Aventador. Premiered at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 served as the replacement of the Murcielago and served as the Lamborghini flagship model. With the success of the past Lamborghini V12 cars that span a half of century such as the Miura, Countach, Diablo, and the Murcielago, the new Lamborghini Aventador comes equipped with an all-new 6.5L V12 engine, the first in almost 5 decades, producing 700PS of power and 690Nm of torque. It is the first that features a new 7-speed Independent Shifting Rod transmission that has the fastest gear change time of 50 milliseconds and a new push-rod suspension that handles like a F1 car. This is the ultimate Lamborghini ever built because their customers asked for it. As a matter of fact, when it was premiered at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, a full-year supply was already sold out, making it the most successful model ever made. In the Series 17 finale of Top Gear, the Aventador scored a lap time of 1:16.5, 0.3 seconds slower than the McLaren MP4-12C.

An epic battle between
Aventador vs. Godzilla

A true Lamborghini heritage passed on
from generations.

The Aventador is now a fan favorite and nearly a few video games featured this car and now, Gran Turismo 5 started the year 2012 with a bang by adding the Aventador on their 3rd DLC Car Pack. This is just good news and since there was a Speed Test Course Pack available now, players can now find out the Aventador's true self in the new racetrack called "Special Stage Route X", a new proving ground that can test their cars' top speed. This is very crucial because this is the place to judge how fast is your car is. What bothers me that this new Aventador is much quicker than the 2012 Nissan GT-R. Simple, I have two stock cars; one is the Aventador and the other is the 2012 Nissan GT-R. I used the "Route X" course and when it started, the Aventador rocketed ahead and it stayed on to the very end.

The Aventador relaxes in Japan

Venta's gone full throttle!

Unbelievable for a car that has a 0-60m time of 2.9 seconds and 217mph top speed and this Aventador is the ultimate thriller on this game. It will get you into trouble quickly and it will leave you a cheeky smile on your face. That's what this does, everything.

The Murcielago is dead. Long live the Aventador! With the success of Lamborghinis in the past that span half a century with V12 engines as their signature dish, the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 continues the legendary tradition with its all new 6.5L V12 engine that produces 690BHP, which in Lamborghini math, it says 700. It can go 0-60mph in 2.9 seconds and flat-out, it can do 217MPH. Upon its world premiere at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, the Aventador became the star of the show and no wonder that a full-year supply of Aventador models have already been asked for, in short, SOLD OUT! Unlike most Lamborghinis in the past that focused only on Top Speed and leaving Handling as a low priority, the Aventador is different. It's now focused only on cornering, leaving top speed a low priority, but this car still cares about acceleration. It features a seven-speed paddle shift transmission, push-rod suspension, and carbon fiber monocoque.

Those who've already bought NFS The Run Limited Edition are going to enjoy the Aventador. It's all about "Conquering The Bull" and this could be an ideal weapon for the master.

"What is Helsinki Syndrome?" by Richard Hammond

Is this how get for having Helsinki Syndrome?

The Lamborghini Aventador is the newest V12 flagship Lamborghini that shares the success from its half-a-century of predecessors such as the Miura, Countach, Diablo, and Murcielago. It uses an all new 6.5L V12 engine codenamed L539, which is the first all new V12 engine from Lamborghini for almost 50 years and what's surprisingly that a full-year supply of these Aventador models have been sold out since its unveiling at Geneva.

Aventador vs. Murcielago Super Veloce

Where does the Aventador name come from? It was named after a legendary trophy-winning bull in Spanish bullfighting and this bull that bore the number 32 faced a deadly battle with a torero at Zaragoza, Spain, earning the title of "Trofeo de la Pena La Madronera".

With the arrival of Forza Motorsport 4's November Speed Pack, players can now fight against their rivals to the limits on the all new Lamborghini Aventador. In the past, most Lamborghini cars in the past focused only on top speed, acceleration, and handling. For the Aventador, handling comes first while setting top speed to its lower priority but the Aventador can do 0-60mph in 2.9 seconds and flatout, it can do 217mph.

Wish you were home...

It was truly a dream come true for us to see the Aventador in Forza 4 but would we end up getting HELSINKI SYNDROME just like what Top Gear's Richard Hammond said while test driving the Aventador? Remember, the Lamborghini Aventador accumulated a Power Lap Time of 1:16.5 and it's faster than the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport. At first, the Aventador is the scariest Lamborghini ever driven by first timers but as I get used to this Lamborghini, I'm starting to get disappointed because it lacks terror despite impressed from its acceleration and handling. It's not all about pantomime drama theater and this Aventador is the closest thing we get.

The Taming of the Bull at Tsukuba

The Lamborghini Aventador in Forza Motorsport 4 is a dream come true for Forza players who want to try out the newest flagship battle cruiser that is the closest thing from a stealth fighter jet that you will ever seen on the road. Looks like we owe them a big thanks,

Aventador is 3rd fastest in the Top Gear Test Track

Season 17 of BBC's Top Gear closes with the first run of the ultimate Lamborghini flagship, the Aventador LP700-4. Seems that Richard Hammond take a liking to the Aventador's top speed and its powerful agility. That supercar got him either Helsinki syndrome or Stockholm syndrome.

Wouldn't you believe that? And by the way, The Stig drives the Aventador while listening to some Petunia Clark music inside. In the end, the Aventador scored 1:16.5! That's faster than the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport for sure! What a great way to end this season!

And by the way, the Lamborghini Aventador will be featured in the upcoming Need For Speed The Run game via the limited edition packaging. The limited edition will include cars like the Aventador, the upcoming Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, and for the first time, the upcoming Porsche 911, soon to be featured at Frankfurt this September. Need For Speed The Run will be on sale this November 2011, so watch out!

Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4

2012 Lamborghini Aventador

Last year, the V12-powered Lamborghini Murciélago ended production, giving a grand total of over 4,000 units built. The death of the Murciélago is somewhat spilled with criticisms but until now, the successor of the Murciélago has arrived under the name, Aventador, named after a legendary Spanish bull which Lamborghini has a tradition of naming exotics after raging bulls.

Like the legendary bull, the Lamborghini is fierce and deadly. The design was borrowed from the limited edition Reventon and the Estoque concept car, providing some futuristic cues to the Aventador, making it a sharp-dressed exotic designed and engineered at Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. On the interior, the Aventador boasts overall luxury that puts the McLaren MP4-12C to shame.

Of course, the dashboard kinda reminds me of the McLaren MP4-12C but that's different for the Aventador. These fighter jet-like cues really put the Aventador in versus mode and ready for some massive fistfights against the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, Lexus LFA, Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, or even the Nissan GT-R R35. Whoever drives that must have called him a very aggressive businessman, leaving all the IT guys behind in the business world.

Under the bonnet, the new Lamborghini Aventador is fully armed with the newly-developed L539 (6.5L V12) engine that produces a power output of 700PS/8250rpm, torque output of 690 N·m/5500rpm, CO2 emissions of 398 g/km, and combined fuel economy of 5.8km/L (17,2 l/100 km). This new engine is Euro5 compliant and by the numbers, the newly developed L539 engine gives the Aventador a maximum top speed of 350 km/h and 0-100kph in about 2.9 seconds. Since it's a midship 4WD exotic, launch is the Aventador's biggest forte.

A special transmission, a 7-speed Independent Shifting Rod (ISR) transmission, is engineered because no existing semi-auto transmission can handle the torque of the L539 engine. The ISR transmission provides the fastest shifting time of 50 milliseconds, making it one of the best features the Aventador does not live without it.

The Aventador is offered in 13 exterior colors such as Nero Aldebaran, Giallo Evros, Bianco Isis, Nero Pegaso, Grigio Estoque, Grigio Antares, Blu Hera, Arancio Argos, Arancio Atlas, Giallo Orion, Nero Nemesis, Bianco Canopus, and Marrone Apus.

My Comment:
The Aventador's biggest strength was its aerodynamics, design, new V12 engine, new transmission, MR-4WD combo, jet-like design, and the raw power that keeps fans salivated for more. Ideally, Lamborghini limits its production to more than 4,000 units but unfortunately, it was already spoken for. Did you know, before PGA Cars started distributing Lamborghini cars in the Philippines at the end of 2011, about eight mega-wealthy Filipinos were the ones who placed an order for the Lamborghini Aventador? Being sold out after its unveiling, the Aventador turned out to be more profitable for the company. There's also a roadster version coming soon next year. Whoever has one, must have been called a very bad businessman.

Because there is no Best Motoring since it was axed after the June 2011 issue, there is no chance we can see the Lamborghini Aventador making the turns on Tsukuba Circuit or Fuji Speedway.

8 Filipinos placed orders for the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4

2012 Lamborghini Aventador

The Murcielago successor, the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 debuted on the Geneva Motor Show earlier and it was sold out for the first half of the year, making it the most successful Lamborghini built. Did you know, that about 8 wealthy Filipinos already placed orders for the Aventador, each costs 30 million Philippine Pesos. It was a good start for PGA Cars, which is now the official Lamborghini distributor of the Philippines.
