- New character additions for the Himitsu no AiPri TV anime's second season were announced. The new season casts Eri Kitamura as Ring Clover, Rio Tsuchiya as Julia Igarashi, Rina Kawaguchi as Elle Rokudo, Tatsuyuki Kobayashi as Subaru Nanaura, Kirara Omori as Otome Nanaura, and Momoka Terasawa as Bibi Hachioji. Season 2 premieres this April 6 on TV Tokyo at its new timeslot; 0930 Japan Time.

- The Fire Force TV anime's final season premieres this April 4th.

- BBC's Doctor Who Season 2 premieres this April 12th on BBC iPlayer in the UK and on Disney+ worldwide. The new season adds Alan Cumming as the voice of the villainous cartoon character Mr. Ring-a-Ding.

- Hollywood legend Gene Hackman and his wife Betsy Arakawa were found dead, according to police.

- Actress Michelle Trachtenberg, known for her roles in The Adventures of Pete & Pete, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Gossip Girl, passed away at the age of 39.

- The Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group (PNP-AKG) in collaboration with the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) successfully rescued a kidnapped 14-year-old student studying at a high-end private school in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.

- The Police Regional Office Bangsamoro has formed a Special Investigation Task Group "Vice Mayor Samama" to ensure the speedy delivery of justice in the shooting of Vice Mayor Mohammad Omar Samama on Monday. According to PRO BAR Regional Director BGen. Romeo Macapaz, the SITG will focus on gathering information that will pave the way for resolving the case and identifying those responsible for the incident.

- The COMELEC expects to increase areas of concern as the elections proceed this May 12th.

- The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has rescued 14 people aboard the MBCA Ayoshi Kim Rin 8 that sank in the ocean between Balicasag Island and Panglao, Bohol, based on the latest PCG report.

- A Ukrainian official says the terms of the minerals deal with the US agreed. The US is seeking access to Ukraine's rare earth minerals in exchange Kyiv wants security.

- Hennessey released an 850HP Super Venom tuning kit for the seventh-generation Ford Mustang GT and Dark Horse. Only 91 models will be commissioned with prices starting at $149,950.

- The 2025 F1 Academy season will reintroduce Reverse Grid races. The structure of the race weekend will remain consistent with that of 2024, featuring up to two Free Practice sessions, one Qualifying session, and two Races. In this setup, Race 1 will utilize a reverse grid format. The starting grid for Race 1 will be determined by reversing the top eight drivers from the Qualifying classification. All other drivers will start based on their qualifying positions. Points will be awarded to the top eight finishers, and an additional point will be given to the driver who records the fastest lap time among the top eight classified drivers.

- The Philippine National Police (PNP) has intensified its campaign against illegal POGOs in compliance with President Bongbong Marcos' directive to implement the POGO total ban.

2025 NASCAR Cup Series - Ambetter Health 400

Reeling from their Daytona hangovers, the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series continues in Atlanta for the Ambetter Health 400. The drivers are trying to impress the Peach State with intense NASCAR action.

As the green flag waved, the action in Atlanta began. As Josh Berry nabs Stage 1, Stage 2 saw trouble as Ty Dillon hit the wall and spins on Lap 81 followed by Erik Jones hitting Chris Buescher on Lap 102, a punctured right rear tire for Todd Gilliand on Lap 135, and a crash between Chase Briscoe and Ricky Stenhouse Jr on Lap 149. With Kyle Larson secured Stage 2, the final stage saw a multi-car incident on Lap 183 that was triggered by the collision between Daniel Suarez and Ty Gibbs, two drivers spinning on Lap 204, Ryan Blaney spinning on Lap 234, and a Lap 258 disaster that got Kyle Larson, Austin Cindric, and William Byron on it.

The 2025 Guinness Men's Six Nations championship continues with Round 3 featuring Wales v Ireland, England v Scotland, and Italy v France.

Focusing on the Wales v Ireland match, Ireland has proven to be unsinkable this season by defeating the winless Wales 27-18 to snag the Triple Crown with Sam Prendergast the headliner for his penalty shot and conversion.

Meanwhile, England barely defeated Scotland 16-14 to grab the Calcutta Cup, and France massively beat Italy 73-24.

With Ireland and France leading after Round 3, the next two rounds will decide the fate of the frontrunners. Round 4 is on March 8 to 9 with Ireland v France, Scotland v Wales, and England v Italy.

2025 Repco Supercars Championship - Thrifty Sydney 500

The 2025 Repco Supercars Championship started with the Thrifty Sydney 500 campaign at the Sydney Motorsport Park, featuring two nighttime and one daytime race. There's never in the history of Supercars to have a season kicked off at nightfall.

Cam Waters, driving his #06 Monster Castrol Racing Mustang Supercar, made headlines during the season opener by sweeping the entire race weekend. He successfully navigated two nighttime races, with the first race featuring a podium dominated by Ford drivers, including himself, Chaz Mostert, and Thomas Randle. In the second race, he faced off against two Red Bull drivers, Broc Feeney and Will Brown. In the final race, despite rainfall affecting the climax, Waters emerged victorious.

The next race is the 2025 Melbourne SuperSprint, which will take place from March 13 to 15, 2025, the day of the F1 75th anniversary season opener.
