-  Former Bamban mayor Alice Guo attended for the first time at the sixth joint public hearing of the House Quad Comm. Cassandra Li Ong and Sual, Pampanga Mayor Dong Calugay also attended. Asked about her life in Bamban, Alice said "Life is not easy for them, many are still poor. Not all of them, but for sure there are some. It's just more difficult."

- Former KOJC member Arlene Stone further revealed during an interview with DZRH that Pastor Apollo Quiboloy sent people to the US to solicit for her, not for the Children's Joy Foundation he built. She also said that former President Rodrigo Duterte is accused of benefiting from Quiboloy's "pastoral".

- The United States slashed its interest rates by more than expected in the first reduction in over four years, a milestone moment for the world's biggest economy.

- More blasts were reported in Beirut a day after exploding pagers killed 12 people and injured thousands across Lebanon. Hezbollah's walkie-talkies were targeted in another day of blasts in Lebanon killing at least 20 and injuring hundreds.

- Nintendo and The Pokemon Company officially suing Palworld developer PocketPair over "multiple" patent infringements.

- Police decide not to forward Yoo Ah In's case of alleged sexual assault to prosecution.

- The TV series Orphan Black Echoes was canceled weeks after the first season finale. The spinoff series ended less than a month ago.

- MrBeast and Amazon sued by Beast Games contestants alleging sexual harassment, chronic mistreatment, and more.

- In his social media post Doc Willie Ong said that the bashing from "troll farms" and others is the cause of his illness. Ong shared that he just finished his 2nd chemo cycle which resulted in his hair falling out.

The girls and their pets from Wonderful PreCure have arrived on the big screen! In Wonderful PreCure! The Movie! Dokidoki Game no Sekai de Daibouken, our heroes have popped up in a game called Dokidoki Tanukingdom as they're on a mission to save the game and prevent the game's final boss from taking over the world. The girls are not alone, though. Teaming up with past PreCure pals from Hirogaru Sky! PreCure and Maho Girls PreCure, this is one big adventure they'll never forget.

This movie showcases more from Cure Friendee, Cure Wonderful, Cure Nyami, and Cure Lilian as they use their superpowers even further in their theatrical debut. Not to mention, their Game Mode looks in this movie are adorable!

To add more fun to this latest PreCure movie, comedy duo Junpei Goto and Shusuke Fukutoku made special guest appearances in this movie as Ponta and Pokota, the two tanuki brothers Komugi and pals met in the gaming world.

This movie is a wonderful way to end the summer season. From the moment the girls enter the gaming world to the final battle, Komugi and her friends show they are serious about using their magical powers to save the world.

Trust them, there's no stopping them, just like past PreCures. The latest PreCure movie is the talk of the neighborhood, and you won't be able to escape the conversation.

-  As of 1700 hours Manila Time, Typhoon Gener has maintained its strength while moving north-northwest at a speed of 10kph, according to PAGASA. The typhoon was last observed 290km east of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.

- "We have not done enough," said PH President Bongbong Marcos in his speech after hearing a girl's story about her harrowing experience at the Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children Summit.

Alice Guo's appearance at the Senate hearing tomorrow was allowed by Judge Elene Amigo-Amano of Valenzuela RTC Branch 282. Judge Amano will be the new one to handle Guo's two Graft cases after being transferred from Capas RTC due to the issue of Jurisdiction.

- Former BBC News presenter Huw Edwards arrives in court after admitting charges of making indecent images of children.

- Donald Trump survived the incident at his golf course. The FBI says the incident at Trump's golf course "appears to be" an assassination attempt and the suspect was shot by Secret Service agents who saw a rifle poking out of bushes.

2024 NASCAR Cup Series - Go Bowling at The Glen

The fight for the Final 12 in the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series playoffs continues this weekend at Watkins Glen International in New York for the Go Bowling at The Glen. Joey Logano earned his spot in the playoffs at Atlanta. Who will be next to qualify?

As the green flag waved, Part 2 of 3 of the fight for the Final 12 in New York begins with a disaster when Kyle Busch spins in the inner loop after contact with Corey LaJoie. As Martin Truex Jr. won Stage 1, Stage 2 saw Daniel Suarez spinning in turn 6 on Lap 38, and with Ross Chastain winning Stage 2, the final stage saw Denny Hamlin crash on Lap 47 following a NASCAR sandwich with Kyle Larson and Brad Keselowski, debris from Harrison Burton on Lap 80, and four laps later, disaster for Brad Keselowski and William Byron, triggering overtime.

Sadly, no playoff contender secured a spot in the playoffs after the Go Bowling at The Glen race. The winner was Chris Buescher, who is not a playoff contender.

NTT IndyCar Series 2024 - Big Machine Music City Grand Prix

Is Alex Palou the 2024 season winner? The final race of the 2024 NTT IndyCar Series, the Big Machine Music City Grand Prix in Nashville Superspeedway will decide if Palou is this season's champion or not.

As the green flag waved, the final race of the 2024 season commenced and Josef Newgarden's making bold moves against Kyle Kirkwood on the opening laps. As Will Power's title fight got jeopardized due to problems with his lap belts on Lap 13, caution was triggered on Lap 56 when Felix Rosenqvist collided with the wall following a loose left front tire.

Lap 68 restart, with Newgarden leading, Colton Herta is on the hunt. Lap 89 saw Katherine Legge slip off the track, triggering the second caution of the race. Come Lap 135, Marcus Ericsson collided with the wall.

As the race restarted on Lap 147, Pato O'Ward was leading while David Malukas and Josef Newgarden were hunting him down. With the race having five laps to go, Colton Herta slipped into the lead.

In the final race of the 2024 NTT IndyCar Series, Colton Herta won the Big Machine Music City Grand Prix, followed by Pato O'Ward and Josef Newgarden. However, despite finishing in 11th place, Alex Palou was crowned the 2024 NTT IndyCar Series champion, his third title.
