2024 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship - Chevrolet Grand Prix

Canadian Tire Motorsport Park is the next stop for the 2024 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship with the Chevrolet Grand Prix. The summer racing season in IMSA will be as fierce as the sun even if it's up north.

The #52 Inter Europol by PR1 Mathiasen Motorsports ORECA LMP2 07 is the overall winner of the Chevrolet Grand Prix. In contrast, the #3 Corvette Racing Z06 GT3.R wins the GTD PRO class and the #27 Heart of Racing Vantage GT3 EVO wins the GTD class, another impressive performance for the new Vantage racer.

The next race is at Road America this August 1-4, 2024.

Extreme E S4 - Hydro X Prix

Extreme E's fourth and final season continues with the Hydro X Prix in Scotland. This two-parter saw Patrick O'Donovan taking over the driver's seat of Jimmie Johnson's Legacy Motor Club while Amanda Sorensen returned to the driver's seat of the JBXE team. Extreme E's final outing in Scotland couldn't be more interesting.

The Veloce Racing of Molly Taylor and Kevin Hansen, the Acciona|Sainz XE Team of Laia Sainz and Fraser McDonnell, and the Andretti team of Catie Munnings and Timmy Hansen are the double podium finishers of Extreme E's final Scotland outing with the Veloce team swept the race weekend.

Extreme E's fourth and final season continues in Sardinia, Italy for the Island X Prix this September 14-15, 2024.

NTT IndyCar Series 2024 - Hy-Vee One Step 250

The 2024 NTT IndyCar Series' two-part Iowa skirmish concludes with the Hy-Vee One Step 250 race and this finale delivered the most insane moment of the season no fans saw it coming.

As Alex Palou dominates the oval for 99 laps, Lap 100 saw Agustin Canapino slip but the track is still green and Palou went to the pits. The yellow flag was triggered. As the race restarts on Lap 114, Palou is still leading while Will Power and Scott McLaughlin are hunting him down for the lead. 45 laps left, three podium fighters had done their pitstop routines and then back for more for the endgame. As the trio fights for the final lap, The Big One strikes as Sting Ray Robb goes upside down followed by Alexander Rossi, Ed Carpenter, and Kyle Kirkwood getting crashed.

After a thrilling Iowa climax, Will Power wins the Hy-Vee One Step 250. Alex Palou finished 2nd and yesterday's winner Scott McLaughlin finished 3rd.

With Iowa behind them, Palou leads with 379 points, Will Power is in 2nd with 344 points, and Pato O'Ward is in 3rd with 327 points.

The next race is the Ontario Honda Dealers Indy Toronto this July 21st, 2024.

- Cube Entertainment's new boy group NOWADAYS announced the renaming of its fan club name. Earlier this week, the new group announced that the name of their fan club would be D-DAY but they will no longer use that name because it was used by a different artist's fan club.

- KARA member Park Gyuri suffers facial fractures ahead of the comeback and halts her activities to undergo surgery.

- Red Velvet member Seulgi apologizes following the controversy over her high heel incident.

- About 1TB of Disney data is said to be stolen, including unreleased projects, login credentials, raw images, codes, and others, according to reports.

- ICYMI: RedBox shuts down for good after 22 years. This comes following its parent company Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment's bankruptcy filing.

- Veteran Filipino sports reporter Chino Trinidad passed away at the age of 56. He was a respected sports journalist from his DZRH days in 1991 to his long-time run as a sports reporter for GMA News from 2000 to 2023. In between, he also had a stint on IBC-13's Vintage TV in 1993.

- Rose Namajunas defeats Tracy Jones by unanimous decision in the main event of the UFC Fight Night at the Ball Arena in Denver.

NTT IndyCar Series 2024 - Hy-Vee Homefront 250

The 2024 NTT IndyCar Series' two-part Iowa skirmish kicked off with the first part known as the Hy-Vee Homefront 250.

The first part of the IndyCar Iowa double-header was a dramatic race with lots of crashes and mishaps. It kicked off with Romain Grosjean and two others being involved in an opening lap incident. Then on lap 81, Graham Rahal had a mechanical issue that caused the second caution of the race. After the pit stops, Scott McLaughlin took the lead. He held it until lap 176 when Alex Palou crashed in turn one. With 40 laps to go, Linus Lundqvist also had a mechanical issue. And then with 28 laps to go, Colton Herta went off track. Ed Carpenter crashed with 22 laps remaining.

In the end, Scott McLaughlin won his first-ever IndyCar oval race. Pato O’Ward finished second, and Josef Newgarden came in third.

2024 O-NE SUPERRACE CHAMPIONSHIP - Yongin Night Race

The 2024 O-NE SUPERRACE CHAMPIONSHIP continues with the Yongin Night Race, the second volume of this season's Summer Racing campaign. In the daytime, spectators were greeted not just by the Prius PHEV Class, the M Class, the Radical Cup Korea, and the Korea Trofeo races but this event marked the SUPERRACE debut of Korea's first Alpine Class one-make race series featuring the Alpine A110S.

There are musical performances by HyunA, Davichi, Kid Milli, and BE'O as well. As the night falls, the Super 6000 class main event honed into view, wrapping up Saturday's summer racing action in Yongin Everland Speedway.

Seohan GP delivered a 1-2 finish with Kim Jung Gun as the winner and Jung Eui Chul as the second placer while O-NE RACING's Oh Han Sol completed the podium with a third-place finish.
