NTT IndyCar Series 2024 - Xpel Grand Prix

After a rough week in Detroit, the 2024 NTT IndyCar Series continues in Road America for the Xpel Grand Prix.

The action begins with an opening lap disaster for Linus Lundqvist as he spun and got Marcus Armstrong into it. Come Lap 6, Kyffin Simpson crashed after he went spinning and crashed off-track. Lap 9 restart, Scott McLaughlin is leading while Kyle Kirkwood and Josef Newgarden are catching him up. Halfway through the race, the three Penske drivers; Josef Newgarden, Scott McLaughlin, and Will Power, are clashing for the top spot. It became a three-way fight between them as the end drew near.

Will Power ended his winless streak by winning the XPEL Grand Prix, leading Penske's podium takeover with Josef Newgarden finishing 2nd and Scott McLaughlin finishing 3rd.

After the action in Road America, Will Power is now leading with 236 points, five points ahead of Alex Palou, and Scott Dixon is in third with 225 points.

The next race is at Laguna Seca for the Firestone Grand Prix of Monterey this June 23rd.

F1 2024: AWS Grand Prix du Canada

Circuit Gilles Villeneuve is the next stop for the F1 2024 season with the AWS Grand Prix du Canada.

Amid the wet conditions, the action begins with George Russell leading off the line and into the first corner while Kevin Magnussen storms from P14 to P5 on Lap 2. Lap 7 saw Logan Sargeant skidding off at Turn 6 but returning to the race. As the weather gets fair, Max Verstappen is on the hunt against Geroge Russell for the lead, even when Verstappen goes off track on Lap 17 and is forced to hunt down Lando Norris instead.

Following Logan Sargeant's crash on Lap 25, Lando Norris pits under the Safety Car two laps later but loses his lead to Verstappen and ends up behind Russell too. As the race resumed on Lap 30, Verstappen, Norris, and Russell were still in the clash even at the halfway point. As Sergio Perez was forced to pit on Lap 53 due to a broken rear wing, Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon got involved in a Lap 54 mess that triggered the safety car again. With the race only having 4 laps to go, Yuki Tsunoda spins and debris strewn everywhere.

Max Verstappen survived through the unpredictable Canadian campaign and claimed his 50th career win, beating the likes of Lando Norris and George Russell.

After Canada, Verstappen is leading with 194 points while Charles Leclerc remains in 2nd with 138 points and Lando Norris is in 3rd with 131 points.

The next race of the F1 2024 season will be the Aramco Gran Premio de EspaƱa at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya this June 23rd.

DTM 2024: Zandvoort

The DTM's 40th-anniversary celebration continues in Zandvoort. The major news of contract renewal between the DTM and the circuit Zandvoort until 2026 and red-flag-triggering chaos in the second part adds thrill to its Dutch race weekend campaign.

In the first part, Jack Aitken in his #14 Emil Frey Racing 296 GT3 delivered his pole-to-win feat while Rene Rast in his Schubert Motorsport M4 GT3 finished 2nd, and Arjun Maini, an Indian national in his Mercedes-AMG Team HRT GT3, finished 3rd. 

In the final part, the one with a red-flag-triggering accident on it, Marco Wittman in his #11 Schubert Motorsport M4 GT3, the one with the broken right side of its front following the incident, started 14th at the grid and became the winner. Mirko Bortolotti finished 2nd and Kelvin van der Linde finished 3rd.

After Zandvoort, Kelvin van der Linde leads with 82 points, Mirko Bortolotti is in 2nd with 74 points, and Ricardo Feller is in 3rd with 66 points.

The DTM 2024 season will continue in Norisring this July 4-7.

- In Game 2 of the PBA Philippine Cup Finals, San Miguel leveled the score with one win each after beating Meralco at the score of 95-94.

- Caitlin Clark will not be taking part in the Paris 2024 Olympics, according to reports. Clark wasn't able to make the national training camp in Cleveland after she was invited because she was leading Iowa to the Final Four.

- Longtime Wheel of Fortune presenter Pat Sajak officially bid farewell to the show after 41 seasons on his last day. In the Season 41 finale, Pat thanked the staff and contestants for making his job "easy" in his final closing message.

- GOG will delete over 200MB of cloud saves beginning this September, according to reports. GOG stressed that any cloud save files that exceed the "default allocation limit" of 200MB per game will be deleted after August 31.
