NTT IndyCar Series 2022 - Grand Prix of Portland

It's the penultimate race of the season as IndyCar heads to the Pacific Northwest with the Grand Prix of Portland, held in Portland International Raceway.

As the green flag waved, Scott McLaughlin leads the race to the starting line to kick off the season's penultimate race and he's still leading 40 laps later. Of course, no race would be without some incidents such as Conor Daly catching fire in the pits, Jimmie Johnson getting pushed out of the race by Rinus Veekay, and Pato O'Ward sustaining damage.

In the end, Scott McLaughlin nailed the third IndyCar win of his career while Will Power finished 2nd and Scott Dixon finished 3rd.

After Portland, Will Power is still in the lead with 523 points, 20 points ahead of Josef Newgarden.

NTT IndyCar Series 2022 - Bommarito Automotive Group 500

There are three races left of the 2022 season and the last oval race of the season, the Bommarito Automotive Group 500, in World Wide Technology Raceway is proof that the climax draws near.

As the green flag waved, the last oval race of the season kicked in with some crazy moments that occurred before the red flag was triggered due to lightning such as the dashboard problems that forced Rinus Veekay out of the race, and Jack Harvey colliding to the wall. As the race restarted after the lightning hold was lifted, the action in St. Louis comes back to life and the drivers are going all out.

In the end, Josef Newgarden won the final oval race of the season while Malukas David scored his first-ever podium finish in IndyCar by placing 2nd and Scott McLaughlin finished 3rd.

After the race, Will Power and Josef Newgarden are now three points apart, 482 vs 479 It's too close to call.

The next race is at Portland International Raceway for the Grand Prix of Portland this September 4th.

NTT IndyCar Series 2022 - Big Machine Music City

The streets of Nashville, Tennessee, became a high-speed battleground for IndyCar's finest with the Big Machine Music City. Despite being interrupted by the lightning hold and the women's open final round because it's running long, that didn't stop them from delivering the most intense race in Music City.

As the green flag waved, the action in Music City is on, and for the second year in a row, Colton Herta got clipped to the wall while Alexander Rossi got spun and triggered a full course yellow. If that wasn't enough, Graham Rahal, Pato O Ward, and Dalton Kellett were part of a seven-car-disaster that forced them out of the race. As the climax draws near, the fight between the two Scotts, Dixon vs. McLaughlin, became too close to call.

In the end, Scott Dixon wins the Big Machine Music City of the NTT IndyCar Series. With his 53rd career win, Dixon surpassed Mario Andretti for the 2nd most wins in IndyCar history. McLaughlin finished 2nd and Alex Palou finished 3rd.

With only two races left this season, Will Power and Scott Dixon had a 6-point gap between them, 450 vs 444, in the championship standings.

The next race is the Bommarito Automotive Group 500 in World Wide Technology Raceway this August 20.

NTT IndyCar Series 2022 - Gallagher Grand Prix

The Brickyard roars back to life as IndyCar and NASCAR collide in one summer spectacle fans will never forget. Let's focus on the IndyCar side of the Brickyard action known as the Gallagher Grand Prix.

The Gallagher Grand Prix kicked off with Alexander Rossi leading the grid via pole to the starting line and Pato O Ward became the first to surrender following a power failure. As the race restarts on Lap 5, Felix Rosenqvist leads while Alexander Rossi hunts him. As Colton Herta leads in Lap 14, Rosenqvist and Scott McLaughlin are fending each other off. In Lap 35, Simon Pagenaud surrenders due to low fuel, then in Lap 42, big trouble for Colton Herta following bodywork damage. As the climax nears, the drama unfolds for the drivers.

In the end, Alexander Rossi ended his three-year drought to win the Gallagher Grand Prix of the 2022 NTT IndyCar Series. Rookie driver Christian Lundgard tasted his first podium finish in 2nd place while Will Power finished in third place.

The next race of the 2022 NTT IndyCar Series will be at Nashville for the Big Machine Music City Grand Prix this August 7.

NTT IndyCar Series 2022 - Hy-Vee Salute to Farmers 300

The Iowa two-parter of the 2022 NTT IndyCar Series concludes with the Hy-Vee Salute to Farmers 300.

As the green flag waved, the conclusion of the Iowa two-parter of this season is on and the first 60 laps saw Will Power leading the race until Josef Newgarden steals the lead at Lap 84. As the race heats up, Kirkwood got involved in a single-car incident and was therefore out of the race. With Newgarden leading in Lap 175, his wonderful lead ended in horror as he got involved in a crash. With Pato O Ward leading after Lap 275, he kept going on until the climax.

After the race, reports told that Newgarden suddenly collapsed and returned to the infield care center. He is awake and alert and was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation.

Pato O Ward has been named the winner of the Hy-Vee Salute to Farmers 300 with Will Power finishing 2nd and Scott McLaughlin finishing 3rd.

The next race is at Indiana Motor Speedway for the Gallagher Grand Prix on the 30th of July.

NTT IndyCar Series 2022 - Hy-Veedeals.com 250

The Iowa two-parter of the NTT IndyCar Series 2022 kicks off with the first parter known as the Hy-Veedeals.com 250.

The first part of the Iowa two-parter kicked off with most of the drivers delivering their picture-perfect starts as they are dashing through the top. As things are looking well, Lap 17 triggered a yellow flag with Jimmie Johnson slipped in the final corner. As the race restarts on Lap 23, Josef Newgarden and Will Power are clashing for the lead. In Lap 107, Jimmie Johnson delivered a close-shave overtake through two cars. Lap 111 saw another caution triggered with Felix Rosenqvist spinning and crashing to the barrier.  

Halfway through the race, things are getting intense for the remaining drivers as they're pulling all means necessary to survive. However, Lap 164 saw another yellow flag with Ed Carpenter crashing while Lap 175 saw Scott McLaughlin experiencing problems with his vehicle. As the race nears its climax, it's do-or-die for the drivers.

NTT IndyCar Series 2022 - Honda Indy Toronto

The 2022 NTT IndyCar Series continues north of the border with the Honda Indy Toronto race.

With the green flag waved, the action in the 6IX is on and Takuma Sato is the first to retreat following a blown tire at Lap 2. With 25 laps elapsed, Rinus Veekay's in the lead followed by Pato O Ward and Scott Dixon. Halfway through the race, Felix Rosenqvist shoved Alexander Rossi out of the race while fighting four 4th place. After a yellow flag that was triggered on Lap 57, the race restarted with Alex Palou and Ericsson Marcus clashing each other.

In the end, Scott Dixon wins the Honda Indy Toronto. He matched Mario Andretti's record for second on the all-time INDYCAR wins list with 52.

The next race is an Iowa two-parter. Part One is the Hy-Veedeals.com 250 this 23rd of July followed by the second parter, the Hy-Vee Salute to Farmers 300 this July 24th.

NTT IndyCar Series 2022 - Honda Indy 200

The 2022 NTT IndyCar Series celebrates the 4th of July weekend with an epic race in Mid-Ohio for the Honda Indy 200 race.

The race kicked off with Felix Rosenqvist experiencing mechanical failures and throwing in the towel, triggering a yellow flag. As the race resumes, Colton Herta and Simon Pagenaud are fighting for 4th place while Pato O'Ward's having problems with his car and rookie Kirk Kirkwood crashed and was therefore out of the race. In Lap 53, Pato's day is done due to mechanical failures while Alexander Rossi and Romain Grosjean got involved in a collision. 

In the end, Scott McLaughlin claimed his first IndyCar win while Alex Palou finished 2nd and Will Power finished 3rd.

After Mid-Ohio, Marcus Ericsson remains in the lead with 321 points, 20 points ahead of Will Power, while Josef Newgarden's in third with 287 points.

The next race of the 2022 NTT IndyCar Series will be on the streets of Toronto for the Honda Indy Toronto this July 17th.

NTT IndyCar Series 2022 - Sonsio Grand Prix

Road America is the next stop of the 2022 NTT IndyCar Series with the Sonsio Grand Prix.

Alexander Rossi leads the grid to the starting line as the green flag waved, kicking off the action in Wisconsin...until Jimmie Johnson stormed into trouble while approaching Turn 3, won't start, and became the first to quit the race. Lap 4 saw Alex Palou go off course and out of the race. As the race continues the escalate, Lap 8 saw Will Power get pushed out by Di Francesco and crash.  With 8 laps left, Pato O'Ward is experiencing engine failures, triggering the fourth caution of the race.

After all of the chaos in Road America, Josef Newgarden wins the Sonsio Grand Prix while Marcus Ericsson finished 2nd and Alexander Rossi finished 3rd. Newgarden conquered all three IndyCar race disciplines this season to win $1 million in the People Ready Force for Good Challenge with half of his winnings proceeding to charity.

After Road America, Ericsson remains in the lead with 293 points while Will Power remains 2nd with 266 points and Newgarden's in 3rd place with 261 points.

The next race will be the Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio this July 3rd, 2022.

NTT IndyCar Series 2022 - Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix

The ultimate send-off to the final Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix is the continuation of this season's NTT IndyCar Series and this is the final splash to the fountain fans in Motown will remember forever.

As the green flag waved, the final Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix is on and the drivers are going for broke in the last 70 laps of the Detroit Grand Prix. However, Lap 2 saw trouble for Graham Rahal as the right rear tire suffered some problems following a collision. Lap 15 saw Josef Newgarden getting risky while Lap 18 saw Scott McLaughlin stuck off course. Halfway through the race, the remaining drivers are making their moves until Lap 51 saw Kirkwood tapped to the wall. As the race reaches its climax, Will Power goes all out.

In the end, Will Power wins the final Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix while Alexander Rossi finished 2nd and Scott Dixon finished 3rd.

After Detroit, Will Power surged to the lead with 255 points while Marcus Ericsson's down to second with three points behind Power and Pato O'Ward's in 3rd with 243 points.

The next race will be at Road America for the Sonsio Grand Prix this June 12th.

NTT IndyCar Series 2022 - INDY 500

The greatest spectacle in racing, the INDY 500, is part of what is known to be the loudest race weekend of the year and its 2022 outing as part of the current season of the NTT IndyCar Series is no exception.

The INDY 500 kicked off with the front row starter Rinus Veekay out of the race following a crash in turn 2. As the race resumed, Conor Daly surges back to the lead. Halfway through the race, Scott Dixon is in the lead while Conor Daly and Pato O'Ward's catching up. Moments later, rookie driver Callum Ilott's first INDY 500 outing ended in a crash while Romain Grosjean's out of the race as well. With 133 laps passed, Scott Dixon remains in the lead while Colton Herta threw in the towel due to mechanical failure as well as Scott McLaughlin following a crash. Following a pit lane speed violation, Scott Dixon was slapped with a penalty, costing his Indy 500 win, but it could be worse as Jimmie Johnson got involved in a horrifying crash that triggered a red flag as the race nears its end.

After a chaotic 200-lap thriller, Marcus Ericsson got his face immortalized at the Borg-Warner Trophy as he won this year's INDY 500. Pato O'Ward finished 2nd and Tony Kanaan finished 3rd.

This is the end of this year's INDY 500 but the 2022 NTT IndyCar Series goes on as the next race will be the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by LEAR this June 3-4.

NTT IndyCar Series 2022 - GMR Grand Prix

IndyCar has arrived in Indianapolis Motor Speedway and no, this isn't the Indy 500, and they're not racing in the oval segment. They're racing on the road course for the GMR Grand Prix.

Although weather and road conditions are experiencing wet conditions, which caused the delay of the race start, the cars have been equipped with rain tires and the action kicked off. This condition is very unheard of for an IndyCar race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. As the action heats up, Josef Newgarden's incident triggered a full course of caution and as the race restarted, Devlin De Fran and Rinus Veekay crashed each other, and after another restart, Pato O Ward and Felix Rosenqvist got into trouble. The race is now a timed race with 21 minutes left and as the race is approaching a premature end, Scott McLaughlin lost his lead under yellow.

The race came to a premature end with Colton Herta the winner while Simon Pagenaud finished 2nd and Will Power finished 3rd.

The next race is the big one; the 2022 Indy 500 this May 29th. Don't miss it!

NTT IndyCar Series 2022 - Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama

It's Sweet Home Alabama for the NTT IndyCar Series as the drivers are going all-out in a May Day scorcher of a race with the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama.

With the green flag waved, the action in Barber Motorsport Park has begun and the drivers are flexing their muscles. In Lap 15, Tatiana Calderon went off track during a fight with Romain Grosjean in Turn 1. As the race reaches Lap 32, the #77 car got spun and went off track. Come Lap 40, Helio Castroneves nudged Jimmie Johnson out of commission. With 15 laps left, Colton Herta's attack on Scott McLaughlin got backfired and spun. As the race nears its end, all bets are off.

In the end, Pato O'Ward wins the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama while Alex Palou finished 2nd and Rinus VeeKay finished 3rd.

After the action in Barber, Alex Palou is in the lead with 144 points while Scott McLaughlin's in 2nd with 141 points, and Josef Newgarden's in 3rd place with 135 points.

The next race is at Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the GMR Grand Prix on the 14th of May, 2022.

NTT IndyCar Series 2022 - XPEL 375

The 2022 season of the NTT IndyCar Series continues in Texas Motor Speedway for the XPEL 375 race.

Felix Rosenqvist leads the grid to the starting line to kick off the springtime racing action in the Lone Star state, the first oval racing action of the season. 36 laps later, the action builds up as the drivers make their moves. However, in Lap 99, Takuma Sato ended up colliding into the wall following contact with Francesco. In Lap 114, disaster struck rookie driver Kirkwood as he spun out and crashed. Lap 129 saw a three-car crash with Francesco, Castroneves, and Graham Rahal involved. As the race restarted in Lap 149, it was a free-for-all battle royale for the drivers fighting for the lead.

After an intense 248-lap thriller in Texas, Josef Newgarden wins the XPEL 375 race with Scott McLaughlin finished 2nd and Marcus Ericsson finished 3rd.

The next race is at Long Beach for the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach this April 10th.

NTT IndyCar Series 2022 - Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg

The NTT IndyCar Series returns for its 2022 season at the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida, and what better way to kick off another season of America's favorite open-wheel racing series than witnessing another IndyCar history made?

Scott McLaughlin leads the grid to the starting line and when the race begins the first 100 laps of the season has begun with some intense action for the drivers. After 25 laps, David Malukas's promising day in St. Pete is in shambles following a crash that triggered the yellow flag. Come lap 28, there has been some sort of drama in the pit stop following McLaughlin and Will Power leaving the pits. With 28 laps left of this race, Rinus Veekay got involved in a mishap but no caution triggered. As the climax approaches, the drivers go all-out.

After an intense 100-lap thriller, the Supercars champion Scott McLaughlin nailed his first IndyCar win! Alex Palou finished 2nd and Will Power finished 3rd.

2021 NTT IndyCar Series - Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach

This is where it all ends as the 2021 NTT IndyCar Series concludes in the streets of Long Beach, California. Will this final race of the season be the big break Alex Palou's looking for? Let's find out!

As the green flag waved, the final race of the 2021 NTT IndyCar Series has begun with title fighter Pato O'Ward got hit with Ed Jones and Ryan Hunter Reay involved in a minor fender bender. A few moments later, Pato O'Ward's championship hopes are in shambles.

Come Lap 27, caution is triggered with Marcus Ericsson involved in an incident. As the race resumed, Colton Herta's making great progress while Alex Palou never gives in without a proper fight for the title.

After an intense finale, Colton Herta won the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach while Josef Newgarden finished 2nd and Scott Dixon finished 3rd. However, the 4th placer of this race, Alex Palou, is crowned as the 2021 NTT IndyCar Series champion!

Alex Palou became the first Spanish driver to win the IndyCar title and this is the moment he will never forget.

2021 NTT IndyCar Series - Firestone Grand Prix of Monterey

Laguna Seca is the penultimate battleground for the 2021 NTT IndyCar Series with the Firestone Grand Prix of Monterey. As the title fight's getting too close to call, will Alex Palou's title fight continue? Let's find out.

Colton Herta served as the polesitter of the race and he led the grid to the start of the race. As the first lap's done, the second lap saw Alexander Rossi went off-track at the exit of Turn 5 but Rossi's returned to the track. In Lap 10, pitstop issues caused Will Power to drop to 27th place. Moments later, Takuma Sato and Scott Dixon got involved in a Corkscrew mess. With 15 laps left in the race, Herta remains in the lead.

With a pole-to-win feat, Colton Herta wins the Firestone Grand Prix of Monterey of the 2021 NTT IndyCar Series while Alex Palou finished 2nd and Romain Grosjean finished 3rd.

After Laguna Seca, Palou remains in the top of the driver standings with 517 points, 35 points ahead of Pato O'Ward and 48 points ahead of Josef Newgarden.

2021 NTT IndyCar Series - Grand Prix of Portland

The 2021 NTT IndyCar Series continues at the Pacific Northwest for the Grand Prix of Portland and as the climax draws near, the title rivals still have unfinished business to do at the Portland International Raceway.

Alex Palou served as the polesitter of the Portland race and he led the grid to start the race until the tricky turn 1 gave title rival Pato O'Ward the chance to overtake for the lead while Hinchtown's day at the Pacific Northwest ended abruptly in that incident. As the race restarted, the action continues until, on lap 85, Will Power and Simon Pagenaud got involved in an incident that triggered another yellow flag.

After an intense racing action at Portland, Alex Palou wins the Grand Prix of Portland while Alexander Rossi finished 2nd and Scott Dixon finished 3rd.

After Portland, Palou regained the lead from O'Ward with the gap of 25 points, 477 vs. 452, while Josef Newgarden's at third with 443 points.

2021 NTT IndyCar Series - Bommarito Automotive Group 500

The NTT IndyCar Series returns to the World Wide Technology Raceway for the Bommarito Automotive Group 500. Being the last oval race of the season, the drivers are going all out to survive this intense oval racing action from sunset to nighttime.

With the green flag waved, the last oval race of the 2021 season is underway but a few laps later since the race began, Ed Jones and Graham Rahal got involved in a crash that put them out of the race. As the race resumes on Lap 27, another incident occurred and this time it's Ed Carpenter on Turn 4. Come Lap 65, the championship leader Alex Palou is out of the race following an incident with Scott Dixon and Rinus Veekay. 

With 77 laps elapsed, the remaining racers are still throwing everything they got to survive. For Romain Grosjean, well, not so much.

As Colton Herta's performing brilliantly on the lead, disaster struck him as mechanical failures signaled the end of Herta's race day. Following Herta's retirement on the race, another incident occurred and it's Alexander Rossi involved.

With less than 50 laps to go, the struggle is real for the drivers as the tension escalates and the climax is fast approaching.

After an intense 260-lap thriller, Josef Newgarden wins the Bommarito Automotive Group 500 while Pato O'Ward finished 2nd and Will Power finished 3rd.

Post-Missouri, O'Ward overtook Palou on the championship standings and he's now ten points ahead while Newgarden's at third place with 413 points.

With only three races left of the season, the title fight's going to be too close to call.

2021 NTT IndyCar Series - Big Machine Spiked Coolers Grand Prix

The IMS Road Course roars back to life with two of America's favorite motoring pastimes, IndyCar and NASCAR, returned to the Brickyard with a bold new twist awaiting drivers. The IMS race weekend begins with IndyCar for the Big Machine Spiked Coolers Grand Prix.

IndyCar's second outing at the IMS Road Course kicked off with Pato O'Ward leading the pack as the pole-sitter but the opener is met with some early troubles in store for the drivers. Come Lap 12, Chilton and Newgarden went off-track while trying to clash with each other. In Lap 18, Will Power storms into the lead. In Lap 22, Colton Herta and Pato O'Ward face each other. In Lap 62, there are plenty of pit stop dramas in store. In Lap 68, Alex Palou's day at Indy is done because of mechanical failures. With 14 laps to go, the race is getting one-sided until Lap 78 saw Rinus Veekay got nudged, stopped, and the caution is triggered. As the race restarted for one final time, this is getting too close to call.



After an intense 85-lap thriller at the Brickyard, Will Power got his 40th career win while Romain Grosjean finished 2nd and Colton Herta finished 3rd.

After their second outing at Indianapolis, Alex Palou is still in the lead with 415 points, followed by Pato O'Ward with 394 points, and Scott Dixon's in 3rd with 381 points.
