Biohazard Revelations Collection

Biohazard (Resident Evil) has arrived for the first time on the Nintendo Switch as two Revelations games come into one collection that will make full use of the Switch's capabilities, bringing the fear and action wherever you may go.

Biohazard Revelations Collection

The Biohazard Revelations Collection features two Revelations games in one. First, there's a game cartridge for the Biohazard Revelations Unveiled Edition game and then, there's a download code for Biohazard Revelations 2. Whichever Revelations game you choose, you can experience the terror in different ways with your Switch. Either you can play it traditionally or take advantage of the Joy-Con's capabilities such as shooting, using a knife, reloading, and in the case of Revelations 2, you can share a Joy-Con with a friend for two-player co-op in both Campaign and Raid Mode. Because this is the Nintendo Switch, you can experience the terror wherever you may go.

Biohazard Revelations/Resident Evil Revelations ventures on the tale of Jill Valentine, who is new to the BSAA, as she ventures into the secrets of the cruise liner Queen Zenobia as well as the secrets behind the Terragrigia Panic a year ago. Not only the full game is featured but it features all the bonus content such as bonus weapons for Raid Mode and two playable characters such as Rachel Ooze and Lady Hunk. You can also enjoy Raid Mode with bonus costumes from Jill, Chris, and Keith as well.

In Revelations 2, Claire, working for NGO TerraSave, was imprisoned in a desolate island alongside Barry's daughter Moira and they were under the prying eyes of the Overseer. Barry, meanwhile, sets off alone to save his daughter, with a little help of a mysterious little girl named Natalia Korda. All four episodes plus two bonus episodes (The Struggle and Little Miss) are here as well as additional Raid Mode weapons, Throwback Map Pack on Raid Mode, and two playable characters in Raid Mode such as Hunk and Albert Wesker.

Both these games are compatible with RESIDENTEVIL.NET and when you link either of these games, you can take on special Raid Mode events that will test your marksmanship, your bravery, and your bragging rights.

Exclusive to the Switch version, you can play two special minigames that has some retro 8-bit vibes to it. Doesn't do much but these retro-styled minigames add some gimmick to it.

It's been five years since CAPCOM introduced us Revelations and with the arrival of the Switch version of both of these games, fans are looking forward to revisit the truth behind the most heinous of fears while experiencing new ways to play on the Nintendo Switch. We thought there won't be a Biohazard game on the Nintendo Switch but we are damn wrong because they're already here and because this is Revelations, the best way to play Biohazard Revelations is on Nintendo Switch.

Trip Ubusan: The Lolas vs. Zombies

Ah, The Lolas of Kalyeserye; Lola Nidora (Wally Bayola), Lola Tidora (Paolo Ballesteros), and Lola Tinidora (Jose Manalo). Two years ago, these lolas have been part of the AlDub adventures in Eat Bulaga's Kalyeserye segment and now, they became presenters of their own talk show airing every weekdays before Eat Bulaga, called The Lolas' Beautiful Show. Just as we thought their hilarious antics as Eat Bulaga's honorary mascots wasn't enough, here comes their first movie outing as the Lolas team up with different strangers to survive the zombie apocalypse. Yes, really.

Trip Ubusan

Welcome to TRIP UBUSAN and true to its name, this will be one heck of a hilarious roller coaster ride starring The Lolas of Kalyeserye and many other star studded celebrities, including Ryzza Mae Dizon, That's My Bae Kenneth, Taki, and more.

In this movie, The Lolas team up with their niece Charmaine (played by Ryzza Mae) and a couple of survivors as they are outnumbered by a horde of zombies and all they have to do is to survive at any costs in this hilarious spin on zombie apocalypse movies.

Throughout the film, the survivors are dealing with different kinds of zombies such as walkers (yep, the ones we're always familiar with since the start), runners (yes, even zombies can run, you know), and sleepers (or is it slippers? I don't know). No matter what kinds of zombies they come across; fat, thin, big, small, boy, girl, bakla, tomboy, they're no match from the Lolas' hilarious antics because...ah, you'll see.

It's kinda funny for Dabarkads who missed the Kalyeserye gig knowing that it's the Lolas' turn to shine on the big screen after last year's...you know what it is...but hey, Kalyeserye lives and so in this movie about our three favorite lolas battling against a wave of zombies with some current affairs references to spit it out to the moviegoers for the fun of it. I guess this is how pop culture works in every single way and while this film is downright scary because this is basically a horror movie, expect the corniest of jokes because some say, it couldn't get even cornier than this because while they are busy battling zombies of all kinds, they're going to make references about current affairs.

Despite its corny humor, this film does have a heart because family values, friendship, and teamwork is demonstrated in this film and because of such a heart, it's been given Grade A by the Cinema Evaluation Board and a rated PG by the MTRCB so it's a horror comedy movie fun for the whole family. So there we are, a horror comedy film the whole family can enjoy with all the scary and funny bits you can expect from The Lolas of Kalyeserye. It maybe corny as a night out on Klownz but oh my gawd, it is good.

The Ghost Bride

The Ghost Bride

For the month of November, Star Cinema brings you a somewhat ominous supernatural flick which stars Kim Chiu and Matteo Guidicelli, among many others.

Directed by one of the Philippines' master directors, Chito S. Rono, The Ghost Bride centers on the life of a young woman who struggles with the hardships on her family until one fateful moment she made a deal with a mysterious individual that she'll be taking part of a Ghost Wedding as the ghost bride and with that, a series of unfortunate events occur in her life upon the deal she made.

This film puts a new spin to the Chinese folklore of hungry ghosts and blending drama with horror is typical Star Cinema stuff as some say but once the horror parts kicked in, it kinda reminds us of that unforgettable horror film called Feng Shui. Except, this film isn't Feng Shui, this is Kim Chiu braving her way in a horror flick about her making a deal to be part of a Ghost Wedding with a deadly price to pay for her newfound fortunes. Well, it still feels like Feng Shui in every single way but The Ghost Bride really is as shocking as every horror movie Chito S. Rono made in his lifetime and this film dares you to brave your way to the very end of the film that is worth a nightmare in Binondo.

Jigsaw (2017 film)

Those who remembered Saw: The Final Chapter thought that with the Jigsaw killer finally dead, is this the end of the madman's game as we know it? Turns out, it isn't as the maniacal killer is back for one last time with the latest chapter set after the gruesome events of The Final Chapter.

Jigsaw
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, the Saw franchise is back with a brand new twisted story set after The Final Chapter with new victims, new deathtraps, and signature Saw moments that will leave you screaming in the isles. Yes, seriously, all that gore effect really makes you not to see this movie alone.

In this film, a group of law enforcement officers are hunting down the Jigsaw killer who thought he was presumed dead and later became pawns to his new game. Question is, is the Jigsaw killer known as John Kramer back from the dead? Or this is just a setup? In typical Saw fashion, it's hard to guess how it ends.

That's right, it's hard to guess how the film ends but with all the signature Saw moments since the first one, this film really is as deadly as all the Saw films and with too much blood and gore pouring into this film, it's a pee-in-a-pants to watch and you're going to need a giant man's nappy before watching this film because trust me on this, this is terrifying as what's going on around the world today and if someone asks you not to watch it alone, you'd better not be because if you did, you'll be as messed up as a drug addict. Yes, really.

So good luck watching this latest Saw flick, if you are brave enough to survive the latest bloodshed which is very brutal from start to finish. Make your choice.

The Dark Tower

Ever since the master author of suspenseful works, Stephen King, made a dark and thrilling tale of Roland Deschain, The Gunslinger, it garnered a whole new bunch of fanbase to talk about Roland's tale as The Gunslinger in The Dark Tower saga and because with such accolades that praised his work as "an impressive work of mythic magnitude" according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, a movie adaptation has arrived to give people more reasons to talk about Roland The Gunslinger.

The Dark Tower

Based on a bestseller saga by Stephen King, The Dark Tower stars Luther's Idris Elba as Roland of Gilead, the last gunslinger, and Matthew McConaughey as the Main in Black. Thrown into the battle to decide the fate of the All-World Universe, Roland of Gilead, accompanied by a young boy, is on a pursuit against the mysterious Man in Black while venturing through his quest to find the mystical nexus of all worlds and universes, The Dark Tower. There's a reason why a passage that goes "The Man in Black fled across the desert, and The Gunslinger followed."

Blending a unique combination of Spaghetti Western and signature Stephen King suspense that will keep them hanging through the edge of their seats, The Dark Tower is a powerful, spell-binding masterpiece that will leave moviegoers' eyes glued to this film from start to finish. Although this film rattles the minds of moviegoers and readers alike, it kind of feels like True Grit in so many ways and when it comes to similarities between those films, you can't really help but noticing it. While this is basically a True Grit faux simile, this is classic Stephen King stuff and with all the inevitable twists and turns you would expect in every Stephen King work ever stumbled through the shelves, it's a fair point that The Dark Tower is one of the most thrilling films to watch before summer ends.

Tokyo Ghoul (2017 film)

If you are unfamiliar with Tokyo Ghoul, this hit manga series is about a young man who became a human-ghost hybrid with the iconic mask we are familiar with while dealing with the supernatural threats among us. It spawned two anime shows, numerous OVA projects, video games, and a stage play, making it a worthy popular franchise in its own right. Thanks to Tokyo Ghoul's hit success, there is now a live-action film which is part of the summer of live-action movie adaptations of this year and there's a lot of talking to be done.

Tokyo Ghoul (2017 film)
This live-action adaptation of the hit anime/manga franchise stars Masataka Kubota as Ken Kaneki, Fumika Shimizu as Toka Kirishima, Yuu Aoi as Rize Kamishiro, Nubuyuki from EXILE as Kotaro Amon, and many other names from the Japanese showbizness. It's directed by Super Star and like the manga it started it all, it''s about Ken who goes out on a date with Rize until he became a bait of Rize's appetizing interests and upon his unknown rescue, Ken transformed into a human-Ghoul hybrid (yes, he's bearing the iconic mask like you saw) and now drawn into a supernatural conflict in our world as the man about a Ghoul.

Reminiscent of those live-action Death Note films witnessed in your high school years, Tokyo Ghoul is a dark and gritty horror film that keeps on getting exciting as the tension builds up through the very end and because most moviegoers in Japan are in a middle of the summer-live-action-movie-adaptation-rush as demonstrated by this, Gintama, Jojo's and Ajin, you can expect that this live-action take on a cult favorite will become the talk of the town to write about it at the end of the day and it is and because the devil's in the details, Tokyo Ghoul really is a fun and exciting film to watch with your mates as you will be intoxicated by the sheer level of intense thrills this man about a Ghoul can do as well as the storyline which is as dark as the winter nights.

Obviously, the crowd's going abuzz over the live-action Tokyo Ghoul film and when it demonstrates is success as a film, you'd better stop using your mobile right now because you'll find others chattering about how awesome this film is and when you talk about Tokyo Ghoul right now, all you will see for the time being is nothing but movie tickets posted by moviegoers to see a man about a Ghoul.

Bloody Crayons

For the month of July, Star Cinema's latest offering is an absurd but horrific horror movie about a group of young people got caught in a deadly game of...well, you guessed it, crayons.

Bloody Crayons

Bloody Crayons in a horror movie that stars the freshest names in Philippine showbizness such as Janella Salvador, Elmo Magalona, Sofia Andres, Diego Loyzaga, Jane Oineza, Maris Racal, Yves Flores Empoy, and Ronnie Alonte. Directed by Topel Lee, this film is about a group of young people spending their summer vacation on a mysterious island for a short film project. When they encounter a game of bloody crayons, the gang are now suddenly trapped on a deadly game where survival is just a crayon away.

Everybody are being bothered by most horror films making horrific take on everyday objects and Bloody Crayons fall to this latest example of when you take an everyday object in real life and then giving it horrifying twist just to show that when something so playful and innocent becomes something very deadly and once your in the game, there's no way out until the game ends. So, who would rather want to see a horrifying take on a children's favorite art utensil in the first place?

Truth be told, most people are too oblivious to see such a horror movie like this especially when they turn a children's favorite into a deadly game of despair and Bloody Crayons suffered on the same fate as the other horror movies they're too oblivious about but despite being too mediocre and too absurd for a horror movie of this magnitude, that won't stop moviegoers from watching it, especially those youngsters sneaking their way through the cinemas after school to watch this film with their mates. Shady but flattering for a barkada movie to watch with your mates.

It's hard to sum up how this new horror movie fares but Bloody Crayons falls to being just a decent horror movie nothing too special about and even though it's too absurd for a horror movie, your mates are going to enjoy watching alongside with you whether you like it or not. Still, you wouldn't tell that to your mom and dad about that movie you're watching it, don't you?

My rating: 2.6 out of 5.

ALIEN: Covenant

Alien: Covenant

The long-awaited installment of Ridley Scott's sci-fi horror masterpiece has finally clawed its way to the cinemas as ALIEN: Covenant, the latest chapter of the Alien film series, will be the most frightening ALIEN film to date since the original.

In this new movie, the crew of the colony ship called the Covenant has discovered what they believed to be a new habitat for humanity, only to realize that they have been fallen to a dark and vicious trap where vicious creatures are lurking beyond their imagination. As the creatures lurking around the Covenant, the crew must attempt to do whatever means necessary to escape from this sinister threat.

The film stars Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Noomi Rapace, Guy Pearce, and James Franco.

Unlike the dismal prequel to the original 1979 film called Prometheus five years ago, this film really is a proper Alien film because it has all the right timing of fear, suspense, thrills, and of course, it won't be complete without the alien, which is why this film is called because without that creature, it wouldn't be called a proper Alien film like what Prometheus suffered.

It is a great horror film to watch for the summer season but if you're too scared to watch this film, you'd better off seeing the cast getting panicked in the film rather than not watching it at all because those alien appearances will get you nightmares even more than any other horror movies you've encountered so far and nothing will get you more prepared than the never-ending intergalactic nightmare this film possesses, not even your five-minute breaks.

This then will be one of the most feared horror films of the year and if you're not fully prepared to take on the worst this film possesses, you'll end up on the same fate as the characters in this film.

My rating: 3.9 out of 5.

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter

When the first live-action movie adaptation of CAPCOM's hit survival-horror franchise, Biohazard (Resident Evil) came out 15 years ago, fans worldwide have some mixed reactions upon witnessing the first five films from the first one to Retribution back in 2012. Some were pleased, some were thrilled, and some were disgusted that it doesn't feel like it came from the games. In Japan, watching these films made them want to forget about the games it based upon and focus mostly on the films because...let's be honest. It's more fun to live with it rather than play with it. And now, here it is, the final installment of the Resident Evil movies is here and this final hurrah will definitely end the RE films with a bang for a buck.

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter

Action starlet Milla Jovovich reprises her badass role as Alice, the woman who used to work for the Umbrella Corporation turned into a bio-organic weapon in her own right in her bid to eradicate Umbrella in the face of the earth. In this final installment, the battle between the final traces of humanity against Umbrella is on its last legs and Alice returns to where the nightmare began - The Hive in the now derelict Raccoon City. As Umbrella prepares its final strike against the last remaining survivors of the dreaded T-Virus outbreak, how will Alice end the nightmare, even if it means to end herself by any means necessary.

Apart from Jovovich, the film brings back Ali Larter as Claire Redfield, Iain Glen as Dr. Alexander Isaacs, and Shawn Roberts as Albert Wesker, as well as introducing Orange is the New Black's Ruby Rose as Abigail, The Night Shift's Eoin Macken as Doc, William Levy as Christian, Fraser James as Michael, and Japanese idol Rola as Cobalt.

All RE films look like they'll be more complicated to watch than any other zombie movies you're familiar with but they're not. They're basically hardcore and it doesn't really matter if you're not a big fan of the Biohazard films because for the non-fans, this film will let them go easy on them but for the longtime fans, this film will hit them with everything they got with familiar elements as seen on the games such as Claire's outfit as seen from Biohazard Revelations 2 as well as the awesome triple-barreled Hydra shotgun that packs a punch in lesser shells. How many references can you see in this final RE film? Not much but see if you care.

What made this film so amazing that Japan got their first dibs on this film last Christmas before the rest of the world grabbed their last hurrah and because it's a hit among Japanese moviegoers, people made them forget about...hmmm...well, you get the idea but not bad for their final hurrah.

It seems ashamed that we wave goodbye to the Resident Evil films with this Final Chapter that is absolutely brilliant but also completely useless.

My rating: 3.8 out of 5.

BIOHAZARD 7 -resident evil-

For two decades, CAPCOM's Biohazard (Resident Evil) franchise first coined the survival horror craze and forever plagued millions of players worldwide with its puzzle-solving, gut-wrenching, fear-induced, choice-making, gameplay that will leave them traumatized at the end but only a select few wanted for more. At last, in honor of the series' 20th anniversary, the long-awaited installment has arrived on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC, as Biohazard 7 -resident evil- welcomes players to a new kind of fear they will never forget.

BIOHAZARD 7 -resident evil-
Grotesque Ver. (PS4)

BIOHAZARD 7 -resident evil-
Grotesque Ver. (XBOX One)

Biohazard 7 brings players to abandoned farmhouse in a fictional village somewhere in Louisiana. Upon receiving a message from a woman named Mia, Ethan Winters set off to this abandoned mansion to find her. Upon their reunion, things turned out to be bad during their escape until the unwelcome arrival of the Baker family dragged him down to this very hell he set foot. Now trapped under the grips of the Bakers, Ethan has to do whatever means necessary to escape from them and find out the truth.

One of the biggest changes in Biohazard 7 is it now sets in first-person perspective, giving your eyes a taste of fear you might come across room after room after room. Because the gameplay pays homage to the first game, there are some puzzle-solving mysteries to uncover as well as dealing with enemies in a fight-or-flight situations, not to mention stealth in case of...the Bakers sniffing you out. Throughout this place, you will encounter those monsters known as the "Molded", and how you deal with those creepy looking monsters is up to you because with ammo is scarce (as well as health items), fighting them isn't the only way.

Thanks to its RE ENGINE, Biohazard 7 features a larger than life graphics that even your 4K Ultra HD can appreciate its liveliness of this horror game and for those who have the PSVR, playing this game in VR mode is a very nightmarish experience. Here's hoping you'll survive trying to finish this game while you're wearing the PlayStation VR.

Apart from the traumatic fear it delivers, Biohazard 7 has some surprises in store for the gamers, not to mention the possible endings they might come across. Even though they beat the game, some brave-hearted few willing to come back for more will brace themselves for DLC content coming later this year, from Banned Footages to the additional "NOT A HERO" scenario.

Although this isn't as action-packed as fans hoped for from past installments, those looking for fear in the right angles really dared enough to play this new installment and find out for themselves as this game lives up to the survival horror fame. As a matter of fact, this game not only is terrifying, it's VERY punishing and not for the faint-hearted because with so much fear popping out by surprise, you would definitely not want to play that game in the middle of nightfall or when you have the urge to go for a bathroom break.

This is definitely one way of honoring two decades of Biohazard in the most terrifying manner they ever done for the players who demanded more.

"Welcome to the Family, son."

Doom (2016 game)

Yes, the first-person shooter legend is back and for 2016, the legendary FPS game Doom gets a whole new modern twist to this one helluva shooter game that caused a stir on millions of gamers since the original Doom went out on the PC in the mid-90's. Now made for PC and new-generation gaming consoles such as the PS4 and XBOX One, the new Doom is going to be the bloodiest offerings in the summer.

Doom (PC)
Doom (PS4)
Doom (XBOX One)
So, what's what about the 2016 Doom game? Well, since this is an entirely new take on the bloody classic shooter legend, this is going to be one helluva different than the original Doom you knew because it's been peppered with tons of stuff to keep fans longing for some demon-slaying frenzy.

First up, the solo-player campaign and like what to expect in the classic Doom, it's a classic FPS mechanic. In here, players pit on a role of a DOOM Marine assigned to eradicate intergalactic demons lurking around the Martian research facility using a brutal array of weapons you can find to kill those underworld beings in an awesome way. It's either kill or be killed awesomely in the new Doom game.

If you had enough fun with the brutal solo-player mission, you can compete against opponents in online multiplayer, which is back for a game developed by id Software. Apart from classic deathmatches, the new Doom features different multiplayer modes that can test your bloody skills and like I said, it's either kill or be killed awesomely. Think you got what it takes to become DOOM's finest?!

And amazingly, the new Doom is now more fun than ever thanks to the brand new DOOM SnapMap feature, where players can create maps and objectives, and then share it to the world for them. Want to make it easy? Try create a less-complicating mission but if your mates want some challenge, try make it harder and see if one of your friends can't beat the mission you've made for them, unless someone else bravely does. There are so many ways to create missions in the SnapMap feature, thus making the new Doom one of the best games to blast out your creative expertise.

So, thoughts about the new Doom? In new-generation consoles, the new Doom is so great to play, you can even share your favorite bloody moments and how you manage to slay intergalactic demons in style, but in PC versions, it's a bit good, perhaps, even if all that demon-slaying shindig is taking a bite out of your hard drive. Either way, the new Doom is becoming one helluva great games to enjoy in the summer season and you can spend all day trying to finish that whole solo-player missions or try out different missions curated by the gamers themselves just for the thrill of it.

LIMITED EDITION: For the limited time only, the new Doom offers a Collector's Edition and it features not just the game itself but also other extras such as the 12-inch Revenant figure and a special Demon Multiplayer Pack for some added challenge. It's time to Fight Like Hell.

Biohazard Origins Collection

The first Biohazard (Resident Evil) game was launched in Japan in the 22nd of March, 1996, and it invented the survival horror genre by storm. 2016 marks the franchise's 20th anniversary and to honor this gruesome commemoration, a special collection was launched for the PS4 and XBOX One consoles; featuring two HD remastered titles for the hit survival horror franchise.

Biohazard/Resident Evil Origins Collection features two HD remastered versions of the first game (which came out last year) and the recently released Biohazard/Resident Evil 0 HD Remaster.

The HD remastered version of the first Biohazard/Resident Evil game uses the rebooted 2002 version (rather than the PSX 1996 version) as its basis and in this game, players can either play as Chris Redfield or Jill Valentine, each with their own abilities and storyline, and emerge to the darkness as they will investigate the mystery inside a mysterious mansion that hides a deadly secret that caused world chaos as we knew it.

In Biohazard/Resident Evil 0, which is set during the events of the mansion incident, players can play as both STARS newcomer Rebecca Chambers and escaped convict Billy Coen, taking advantage of their abilities, while solving the mysteries behind the murders, fend off horde of zombies, and discover the root cause.

Both of these games feature better graphics, widescreen resolution, and crystal clear sound quality made specifically for these new-generation consoles. What remains from these classic titles is the signature fear that made veterans and rookies' skins crawl from their face to their feet.

The HD remaster Origins Collection is now yours for just 5,990 Yen plus tax. If you had one of these, good luck playing both of these HD remastered titles, if you dare.

Silent Hill Book of Memories

Now, anyway, Silent Hill. You may remember that last year, there was a follow-up to the 2006 movie based on Konami's Silent Hill game called Silent Hill Revelations and that main protagonist kinda reminds us of that main character from SH3, anyone saw that film?

Anyway, shortly after that, there's another Silent Hill video game called Silent Hill Downpour. It was available exclusively for the PS3 and the scare never been so bad, so bad and scary, those who have it had wee their pants while spending hours of playing it. Just as you thought it's safe to go out there after a day's game, you were wrong because there's another Silent Hill game coming out to scare you but this time it's in the palm of your hands via your PSVita.

Silent Hill Book of Memories
Silent Hill Book of Memories is the first ever Silent Hill game made exclusively for the PSVita system but this game is more than that because this is the first ever Silent Hill game to have multiplayer gameplay, meaning that with the help of your friends, you can conquer your fears against your favorite Silent Hill monsters page after page after page.

It all started as a book where all your life's past and present were written and if you have the chance to rewritten what's done, you can alter the past. Oh dear, timey-wimey perspective but anyway, this Book Of Memories game is a stand-alone to Konami's flagship survival horror franchise and it focused more on multiplayer gameplay rather than psychological horror. Book of Memories allows players to create their own characters and immerse themselves to the world of Silent Hill, solving puzzles, collect items, brave through the scare rooms and face against some of the most memorable foes in the Silent Hill history such as the iconic Pyramid Head (one of the fan favorites), the Silent Hill nurses, the Bogeyman from Silent Hill Downpour, the Butcher from SH Zero, the Valtiel from SH3, the Double Head, the Straight Jacket, and Robbie, many others.

This survival horror game is too scary to play if you're alone but if you're teaming up with a buddy via co-op, you can work together to solve puzzles, fend off beasts, and take down bosses, the same moment when you're co-oping with your buddy since PW but forget about that. Sometimes when you're teaming up with your mates, Book of Memories keeps on getting harder and harder and harder until one of your mates say that this is getting too scary to work with you. Yeah, what a scary way to scare your friends by teaming up to play Book of Memories, you know what I mean?

Because the rooms are made to scare your wits, the supplies are limited, and the same Silent Hill darkness enveloped to your PSVita, Silent Hill Book of Memories really is a challenging game even for seasoned Silent Hill veterans. You have to make use of your effective strategy on how will you preserve your limited supplies, attacking enemies, and whatever it takes to survive an unforgiving world full of evil. At your first gameplay, you think that this is oh so piece of cake but as you progressed, it gets even more challenging until you came to the part that it takes hardcore guts to conquer your darkest fears.

Overall, Silent Hill Book of Memories is a game too scary to set off alone and you need help from your mates via co-op to save yourselves from the fear that haunts your deepest darkest secrets. Good luck...

Zombadings 1: Patayin sa Shokot si Remington

Year: 2011

Filmmaker: Origin8media

Cast: Martin Escudero, Angelina Kanapi, Daniel Fernando, Eugene Domingo, Janice de Belen, John Regala, Kerbie Zamora, Lauren Young, Leandro Baldemor, Roderick Paulate

ZOMBA DAY has just begun...

From the people behind Tanging Yaman, In My Life, Magnifico, Ang Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros, Anak, and Milan, Zombadings 1: Patayin sa Shokot si Remington is all about fright and laughter served on this movie. The film really adapts to its point of view about one man named Remington, played by Martin Escudero, who was cursed for treating homosexuals rudely and he was about to be like them.

In the beginning, Remington's mother, played by Janice de Belen, who was a cop, investigates an unknown murder of gays. The results turned out that the suspect behind the killings were to be unknown for now. Becuase Remington was cursed by a gay, played by Roderick Paulate, when he was a kid, Remington has to find that gay responsible for this but as it progresses, Remington's gayness is slowly appearing every day. It may also lead to a love triangle between Jigs (Kerbie Zamora) and Hannah (Lauren Young).

This movie is one heck of an Undead Nightmare with the hint of beauty, bonggang-bongga, and laughs that moviegoers will surely enjoy watching this film over and over again because of such humor is added on Patayin sa Shokot si Remington.

Thanks to the joined forces of award-winning filmmakers Michiko Yamamoto (writer of the excellent tearjerker Magnifico), Jade Castro (director of the charming love story Endo), and Raymond Lee (writer of box-office gems Anak, Milan and In My Life, and producer of Ang Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros), this horror-comedy movie is an all-round winner in our hearts of many, especially gays who are afraid of the Undead Nightmare but want to survive this one.

I really love this different chemistry between Gay Pride and some UNDEAD NIGHTMARE but guess if we combine both, I can't explain what's this word is but I think its something fun to explain after watching the whole Zombadings 1 movie.

This is one heck of a scary movie every Pinoy movie fans would love to watch! It's EPIC!

It's an "ALL IN THIS TOGETHER" in The Ringtone finale

In the previous three weeks of Spooky Nights presents The Ringtone, we witnessed the ghost named Sad Ako risen from the well to terrorize hapless victims. Brix (Aljur Albrenica) was followed by Sad Ako, even Nancy (Kris Bernal) almost got herself killed by Sad Ako. The whole family will seek revenge against Brix and his gang by snatching Nancy and sending her straight to the well.

On the finale, it's an "ALL IN THIS TOGETHER" situation as Brix and the gang struggles to save Nancy from the clutches of Sad Ako, Dr. Morgan (Benjie Paras) and the horde of something evil. Did Sad Ako snatched Nancy because Brix killed Sad Ako? When Sad Ako slapped Nancy, Nancy fights back and this is getting out of control.

Brix is getting nervous about going through the well to rescue Nancy. While tensions on the rise, the fight between the copycats, Nancy and Sad Ako, reaches further and the both of these rivals gone "folk dancing", which is utterly nonsense but crazy.

Yes, Brix is getting nervous until when he saw a message, Tricia (Sam Pinto) pushed Brix, resulting him to fall through the well. What a rude act for Tricia. At the well, the truth is finally revealed that Sad Ako was the person who called Brix. It was Brix who rejected Sad Ako and resulted from falling through the well.

The message is "Patawad. Mahal na mahal kita. Mag-hintayin mo ako. Parating na ako." Sad Ako apologized to Brix and promised to terrorize them again and therefore, Sad Ako helps them but Dr. Morgan and his family showed up! Oh no!

Brix tries to persuade Dr Morgan and his family that he's not his fault but Dr. Morgan, Sad Ako, and the family are going to kill the both of them.

It's all your fault Tricia for pushing too hard to a worse-case scenario! Meanwhile, Vanessa (Sef Cadayona) blabbers everything to Tricia. Luckily, Brix and Nancy avoided Dr. Morgan and his family's attack and the ridiculous chase scene is on but ended on being surrounded again! Oh no!

Something weird is falling down and who are those spacemen? Meanwhile, as they were surrounded some words appeared while Brix and Nancy hold on while being surrounded by Dr. Morgan's family.

And They Lived Deadly
Ever After

Oh, wait, those spacemen we mentioned we're just Mang Aga (Gene Padilla), Macmac (Gerould Aceron), and those two guys from the previous episodes (Moymoy Palaboy and Roadfill). The pals use the fire hose to flood the whole well. Is that their Plan B to save Brix and Nancy? Well, whatever. Brix and Nancy does whatever they can to get out while the gang needed help from the people to fill up the well because the fire hose just went out of water. As the rescue gone worse, the gang used the empty fire hose as rescue ropes to save the love team from being Dr. Morgan and Sad Ako's meal!

With worse gone worse, the gang pushed Tricia and while Brix tries to escape from Dr. Morgan's family, Brix, Nancy, and Tricia escaping themselves while the gang stripped off their clothes to form an escape rope. With Tricia only escaped, the gay guy Vanessa showed up with a bucket of gas to burn the well but wait, both Brix and Nancy are still struggling to escape the well. Is Vanessa out of his mind? But then, a miracle happened, Brix and Nancy were escaped from the well and Vanessa, I mean, Van Diesel, pouring gas to the well!

Oh no! Sad Ako escaped but the gang foiled them and Brix lighted the match and successfully defeated Dr. Morgan's family. Sad Ako appeared and Nancy smacked the heck out of Sad Ako and explosions coming out of the well!

They did it! Mission accomplished!

The Ringtone ending

Everyone's riding the fire truck but wait, why is Mang Aga joining at the top of the fire truck, then who's driving? Uh oh... Sad Ako's driving the truck but oh well! LOL

We had fun enjoying The Ringtone, part of the Spooky Nights series! Horror with a blend of humor just makes it a twisted good time. Now that's a FULL FORCE treat for viewers having the good times roll. This should be a great part on your "How I Spent My Summer Vacation" paper. Just write it that it was just like Spooky Night's The Ringtone! LOL

What is "The Ringtone?"

Meet Brix the heartbreaker, Macmac the techie boy, Nancy the hopeless romantic, Tricia the sexy babe, and Vanessa the third sex with a third eye. These guys are off on their summer getaway when suddenly the van thud a white lady and when the guys come out of the van, the white lady's not here! While searching, Macmac picked up a cellphone from the unknown. After that, the van stopped at nowhere and when Nancy opened the van, they were shocked by the two clowns and greeted them to...the LAST RESORT!

What lurks inside the LAST RESORT? What's creepy about the cellphone Macmac found it after the van hit and run the white lady?

That's the question only we can answer on Spooky Nights presents The Ringtone.
