WAVE Beach Queens Kanako Watanabe unveiled

WAVE Beach Queens Kanako Watanabe

In case you haven't know about Star Driver, it was an anime series that was aired from Autumn 2010 to Spring 2011. This was about Takuto Tsunashi, who is on the quest to stop the secret organization known as The Glittering Crux in order to save Wako Agemaki, the girl who saved his life and one of the four maidens. This anime spawned for 25 episodes and next month, Star Driver gets its own theatrical movie this February 9.

To up the ante, there was this BEACH QUEENS figure modeled after one of the fan favorites of the series, Kanako Watanabe. This figure should be ready by June 2013 and it costs 3,990 Yen or an estimated US$45.

I had to say that this is just fantastically good for this figure and question is...was she your favorite character?

Maisto Chevrolet Express Van 1/64 scale

This is what I got from a little flea market. It's a Maisto 1:64 scale version of the Chevrolet Express Van. Sure, I'm not quite a fan of the Chevrolet Express Van because it a van used for business purposes but this toy version really sure that I wanted to collect every Chevrolet model and store it on my toy box. Oh wait, I don't have a toy box...

I think it looks absolutely brilliant. I am a die-cast car fan now. I was wrong about it. I really want to collect for my spare time. Old-fashioned toys can be sometimes MORE FUN than computer games! It just is!

Guess I should put it on this new stuff in my bed room and appreciate what I got...

Doctor Who: Eleventh Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver

As with the TARDIS toy I have a couple of weeks ago, I bought another one that is a must have for a Whovian; a toy based on the Sonic Screwdriver used by the Eleventh Doctor (played by Matt Smith) from the phenomenal BBC flagship sci-fi series, Doctor Who.

Yes we know, this is the coolest piece of Doctor Who fandom I have ever had. I'd never touched one yet but now, I am!

Batteries included, yes!

About the Sonic Screwdriver:

Gallifreyan technological device carried by The Doctor, which has been used in an amazing variety of ways. It can unlock doors (except deadlocks or wood), scan various species, increase or decrease power levels of some objects, and so much more.

(Heard that from the Doctor Who Encyclopedia)

Whoa! Showing it's true self!

This toy doesn't do the same thing as the real sonic screwdriver can do but how much fun was that? The noise is familiar to any Whovians!

Oh great! Even Nagi Sanzenin-ojousama want's to touch it because some say she's a big fan of this BBC flagship sci-fi series!

For a quick round up:
1) Doctor Who got featured on Entertainment Weekly. Yep, The Doctor's in the cover of Entertainment Weekly!

2) Mary Tamm, who played the first Romana during the Tom Baker years of Doctor Who, was passed away.

Beach Queens Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS Teana Lanster

So, wanna guess what did I bought something?

Nope you're wrong! Because, Ladies and gents, it's the Beach Queens Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS Teana Lanster!

By the looks of it, this Beach Queens interpretation of Nanoha StrikerS' Teana looks absurdly feisty in every angle. That gave me chills...

Better be careful with that thing.

That looks better in her sides.

I was expecting a better view at the rear but sadly though, it doesn't.

Now, how about a little something?

Ooh, now that was unexpected to see that.

The Beach Queens 1/10 scale PVC figure of Teana Lanster sure is as fun to look at as the other Beach Queens figures.

It was released in July 2010 and priced at about 3990 Japanese Yen.

Hot Wheels Ferrari 250GT California Spyder 1:18 scale

I bought something at the Northwest Historics events as a souvenir from my trip...

It's a HOT WHEELS 1:18-scale model of the legendary Ferrari 250GT California Spyder.

Pretty, isn't it? I didn't realize that Chris Evans has a 250GT California. Really? I saw it in one episode of Top Gear when James May take a visit to Chris Evans' car collection and James May even have a chance to drive his childhood favorite, which is the 250GT California Spyder!

From every angle, this diecast model of the 250GT California Spyder really looks good. The doors opened very well with my fingers and such beauty really makes it a collector's item! Yum!

I once have a 1:18-scale SLS AMG in my closet and when I compare these two...ooh!!! It was like nostalgia meets modernization! Even that they're not from the same league, both the 250GT and the SLS AMG really looked nice in my mind. For now, I have two diecast cars in my collection. Wonder what I'll get next?

Rest in piece, Mr. Hot Wheels

We would like to express our sincere condolences to the death of Elliot Handler, the co-founder of Mattel who gave birth to Hot Wheels, the toy car collection adorned by kids of all ages because of its collection and wild sets (that has some traps, traps, and some roller-coaster like roads).

Elliot Handler (age 95) died on Thursday by a heart failure. He created Hot Wheels that made a sensation for young boys just like Barbie that attracts young girls. It even collaborated with Electronic Arts for the PSOne video game and Hot Wheels spawned cartoons of those from Acceleracers to Hot Wheels Battle Force 5.

With the death of the creator, we will surely miss him because of his extreme creations that fueled the young boys for collecting lots and lots of Hot Wheels cars. I maybe not a Hot Wheels fan but I am surely missed him. He maybe passed away but the Hot Wheels legacy lives on because boys of all ages adorned these collection.

「ハヤテのごとく!」のマリア - 100のヴィ学

Elegant and cute

Maria-san!

This Sega Prize figure was debuted in early 2010 alongside with Hermione Ayasaki for a limited time as an arcade prize. Just like that, it was going, going, gone but I managed to get a hold of it from a Japan surplus since January.

It's her special ROUTINE!

Highly impressive for a highly-skilled maid of the Sanzenin household and her nekomimi look really hits the spot. Whatever the heck is, she still looks cute in any direction.

The Hakuo Captains

TAAMAH! It looks perfect with Hinagiku Katsura alongside. It's up you to decide who's cute...

How do you do, Master?

She looks elegant and cute for a professional maid but anyway, sorry for cutting this 100のヴィ学 short because I have plenty of time performing body search on her and who cares she could just kick me. LOLZ. No seriously, I had fun with this figure.

「ハヤテのごとく!」の桂ヒナギク - 100のヴィ学

I miss you

Back in 4th quarter 2009, the Hayate no Gotoku 2nd Season Extra Figures made their debut as a prize figure from the famous UFO Catcher. Volume One was debuted in the end of 2009 and it features Nagi Sanzenin and Hinagiku Katsura. Volume Two debuted in 1st quarter 2010 with Maria and Hermione Ayasaki. I know, they had been there for a limited time and gone in 60 seconds. Right now, pictured here is the SEGA PRIZE Hayate no Gotoku 2nd Season Extra Figure Volume One - Hinagiku Katsura. H-I-N-A! Hinagiku! Hi! Hi!

President of Student Government!

H-I-N-A! Hinagiku! Hi! Hi!

Her pose looks attractive because Hinagiku Katsura is the most attractive of all the Hayate the Combat Butler girls due to her strong nature. Although I gonna say that she looks hot in that pose!

Gosh, I love her pose!

She even has a green armband on her uniform!

Despite I bought it on some Japan surplus store (either in person or online), it still looks like it was freshly picked! No wonder somebody's chasing the student body president's hot looks! To be fair, I don't do wolf whistles on these figures because this degrades them. That is my 100のヴィ学 about this figure. Please don't tell me what 100のヴィ学 (hyaku no vi gaku) means.

About this Railgun Extra Figure Volume 2 courtesy of SEGA PRIZE

Surely, the volume 2 of the To Aru Kagaku no Railgun Extra Figure courtesy of SEGA PRIZE is just one thing only Railgun fans would love to enjoy since Extra Figure Volume One (Consists of Biribiri and Kuroko).

Me and my little sister, Cecille, have these from Christmas and geez, this looks fit not just in my desk, but also in the bedroom.

Japanese otakus looking for these second wave figures are acquirable by winning these as prizes from the famous UFO Catcher at the Sega Game Center.

My figure of choice was Mii Konori, the brains of Judgment 177 branch, and my sister's choice was Kazari Uiharu, Kuroko's ally from the Judgment 177 branch who was voiced by the voiceover behind K-ON's Yui Hirasawa, if you know what I mean...

That figure of Uiharu-san looks simple but the figure of Konori-senpai looks somewhat attractive. Looking over Konori-senpai holding some kind of shield is just one thing but anyway it still looks fine.

Never thought this is the first time having a single figure, especially my little sis...
