My Little Pony: The Movie

When Hasbro's My Little Pony franchise got reborn seven years ago with the launch of the Friendship is Magic TV series, it garnered a whole new bunch of fans, especially grown male adults who secretly can't get enough of this show and forever labeled themselves "Bronies". Because of its unusual fanbase, the little girly stuff has grown into one of the most successful franchises in history and no matter how old or who you are, they are the ones that made the Mane 6 great again. As a reward for their greatness since seven years ago, there is now the long-awaited movie adaptation of My Little Pony; Friendship is Magic and this is where our favorite ponies pushing themselves to the limit.

My Little Pony: The Movie

That's right, ladies and gentlemen, even Bronies, the long awaited movie adaptation of the My Little Pony franchise has arrived and this film is where everyone who watched the whole show or binge-watched for the first time got rewarded to witness the Mane 6 into full circle as Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Fluttershy, and Rarity take on a brand new adventure from the comfort of the kingdom of Equestria. A powerful new threat has arisen in Ponyville and as darkness plunges, the Mane 6 sets off to an all new adventure by land, by air, by sea, in an all-out effort to save their home.

Unlike the TV series, the movie features an all-star cast lending their voices to this film including Emily Blunt, Kristin Chenoweth, Liev Schreiber, Michael Peña, Sia, Taye Diggs, Uzo Aduba and Zoe Saldana. I know, using celebrities in lieu of the TV show's voice actors is sacrilege for the fans and for purists, this film is nothing but sacrilege or treason to the fanbase because all they ever wanted for the film they've desperately waited since eternity is to have the same feeling as they get from the TV show but this is what they get. They replaced them with Hollywood stars to do the voices of the characters they're familiar with and that sounds painful for some.

Despite the use of Hollywood actors for our favorite MLP characters, this film is all about beyond the bounds and when I say "by land, by air, by sea", they really did mean it because in one part of the film, we get to see the aquatic version of Equestria and seeing both sides of the coin does made up for the ultimate My Little Pony experience the fans will surely adore. Even though this is a movie, all the signature My Little Pony moments we all love are still there and despite the loopholes, this is definitely the long-awaited film the world's been craving for. I'd expect post-movie chatters when they got out from watching it with mixed results.

Despicable Me 3

Raise your bananas, minions of all sizes, because Gru and the gang are back for their third installment of the Despicable Me films, and this time, things are going to get even despicable for our lovable supervillain, his three adopted girls, and his gang of minions we all know and love. So, what's going around here?

Despicable Me 3

Anyway, Despicable Me 3, what's going on around in this new film? Well, after Gru (played by comedian Steve Carell) and Lucy (Kristen Wiig) got kicked out from the Anti-Villainy League after a certain misfit, Gru is now broke and he has to evict from his evil lair he called home along with the girls and the minions. With no one to turn to, Gru unexpectedly encounters his long-lost twin brother named Dru. Oh, brother. Thanks to him, Gru is back to one thing he does best, being an evil supervillain plotting for world domination, but to do that, they'll have to overcome their differences and team up to take down a rival supervillain named Balthazar (played by South Park creator Trey Parker), a child star from the 1980's.

This film has some back-to-basics approach and because Gru is back at being a supervillain, Despicable Me 3 is like starting over from the beginning, only this time with the added comical relief with the addition of the guy who made South Park playing the role of a rival supervillain bent on world domination. Thank goodness for that even though this film, like the other installments, is suffered from the same whimsical cuteness that is so totally zoned out from start to finish. It maybe decent for a normal moviegoer but as a family movie, it's relatively superior and with all the Minion rush in store for this film, life couldn't get even more relatable than that.

Safe to say, the hilarity that you expect from Gru and his minions are back and even though they can get easily zoned out from the whimsical nonsense this film delivers from start to finish, it has some good vibes that smiles everyone who spend the whole week of stress and what a way to start the weekend right with Despicable Me 3.

Disney-Pixar's Cars 3

Lightning McQueen returns for the biggest race for this life as the third installment of Disney-Pixar's Cars film is finally on the grid in time for race weekend and for this film, McQueen is trying to settle the score against newer and modernized racecars, including his most fearsome foe yet, Jackson Storm.

Disney-Pixar's Cars 3

As this year's Piston Cup now features next-generation racing cars, including the likes of newcomer Storm (played by Armie Hammer) himself, everything McQueen (played by Owen Wilson) know about the sport he loves will forever change following his sudden downfall during a race. Reluctant to end his long-running career in racing, McQueen seeks advice to an aspiring race technician known as Cruz Ramirez (played by Cristela Alonzo). Sharing common goals, they set off on a cross-country trip to regain his damaged morale. During their cross-country trip, McQueen will later do something that he never done before; go on a demolition derby. That sounds scary but if he really want to defeat Storm, he has no choice trying it out before returning to the circuit to settle the scores and finish what he started.

In addition to Wilson, Hammer, and Alonzo donning voices, Cars 3 brings back Larry The Cable Guy as Tow Mater, Bonnie Hunt as Sally, Cheech Marin as Ramone, Michael Wallis as Sheriff, and Paul Dooley as Sarge, among many others.

Past Cars installments have been proven to be a family-friendly alternative to some car action films we are familiar with but for Cars 3, it finally shows its darker side to McQueen's tale and if by "darker", it really is because with all the intense rivalry, the demolition derby, and what's happening to Lightning McQueen, this film finally came to its senses and you can really feel the rage boiling through its storyline that sets them apart from the past installments. While this film boils the fire within, there's still some sense of humor that makes Cars 3 a fun film for the whole family and there are some life lessons to be learned while trying to relate this film to their daily lives; rivalry, defiance, determination, and the moxie to overcome all odds in darkest of times.

Finally, Disney and Pixar landed on the master stroke with Cars 3 and while this is not ideally the best car movie to watch for car enthusiasts like you and I due to its cartoonish nature, its fiery storytelling, memorable cast of characters, and its classic Disney chemistry will make this another instant classic from the wonderful world of Disney.

Disney's Moana

For the 2016 Thanksgiving weekend, Disney introduced viewers of all ages a modern-day take on the Oceanic legend the people behind this latest animated movie spent time detailing a unique blend of mythology, legend, and fun for the whole family. It's also about an odd couple trying to overcome against all odds all in the name of saving the day. Welcome Moana.

Disney's Moana

The folks that brought us Thanksgiving hits like Frozen and Zootopia gave us this year's latest Thanksgiving weekend treat called Moana just to delight everyone who has a heart on all things Disney with spectacular visuals, storyline, and the characters that will become highly recognizable for future generations to come. It's about a young girl named Moana (played by Auli'i Cravalho) who sets off to an unforgettable adventure to save her people. From there, she teams up with a once powerful demigod named Maui (played by action star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson) and then voyage across the seas right up to the moment where Moana discovers her true self that was carried over by her ancestors. Nothing says its going to be easy but for an odd couple like a young free-spirited girl and a powerful being, anything is possible.

As a lighthearted modern-day take of a Oceanic legend, Moana isn't just all about the main characters travelling through the high seas for their once-in-a-lifetime adventure but by the moment you're watching this film, feels like it's summer again, even if its autumn or winter already because of such oceanic theme was used on the film, which captures the eyes of viewers of all ages. While this film has some bothersome moments that will get some viewers having a rough time while watching the film, having this film sweeping you like a tsunami is a great expression why this latest Thanksgiving offering from Disney is one of the best family films this season and destined to become a future classic just like Tangled, The Princess and the Frog, even Frozen.

Disney's Moana is a welcoming feast for the Disney fans many and pretty soon, it's going to give birth to a whole bunch of fans after seeing that film about a young girl who bravely took on numerous trials all in the name of her destiny. Call it what you may but this film will become an instant classic for many generations to come and the main characters of this story along with it by open arms.

Trolls (2016 film)

If you're under 20, you have a very fond memory of collecting those hairy-looking cute dolls they called Trolls. Unique to their hair-raising looks, the Trolls became one of the most iconic toys ever collected for the 90's kids like you and I. Now, the remnants of our childhood memories has finally landed on the big screen from the people that brought you the Shrek films.

Trolls

Featuring the voices of Justin Timberlake, Anna Kendrick, Zooey Deschanel, among many others, Dreamworks' Trolls is an animated movie fit enough for the 90's kids to see their once favorite childhood toys springing into action in the big screen, although this is mainly a family movie that your kids ever wanted to see one for the weekends.

This movie is about a colorful, happy, bunch of creatures called the Trolls living in a magical tree until the larger creatures, called the Bergens, wanted those lovable creatures to be...(gulp)...their lunch. It's up to the Princess named Poppy and the only unhappy troll, Branch, to save the day by saving their friends before their becoming Bergen food.

If your kids ever managed to see this film as a whole family, chances are this will be a smorgasbord of awkward storyline that doesn't feel like an adventure movie at all as well as the awkward feeling that the colorful world of Trolls will make you feel "high" from the start of the film to the end. Yes, you may consider yawning while your kids are busy watching the film but if anyone around you called this film "cute", you'd better start asking because this film slightly packs a lot of cuteness from start to finish and they really don't care if you call it boring because, like I said it, it's "cute" from start to finish.

On the upside is, despite its lack of feel in the story, this film does pack some good vibes on it thanks to its unforgettable characters and their unforgettable moments in this film. This film is not just for family viewing, it can be a good date night movie if you tried. Trolls may not be an adventurous film when it comes to its storyline, but for a fun factor and good vibes loaded on it, it sure is a good film that you never know until you tried.

Getting to know Milo Murphy's Law!

There's a new show airing on Disney XD this October. It's about this smart teenage boy and he gets into all sorts of trouble while having the "best day ever". It's called Milo Nurphy's Law and there are a few reasons why you should like this new cartoon.

At first glance, you can imagine that this new Disney cartoon looks and feels like our longtime favorite Disney cartoon, Phineas and Ferb, and that's true because this new show is made by the same people behind Phineas and Ferb. Yep, the blokes behind the new show, Dan Povenmire and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh were responsible for it and while the two shows are different, they both share the same mantra; making your boring day very exciting with a little imagination...and obviously, some thrills.

Just like Phineas and Ferb, the new show features two 15-minute episodes every week (and rarely a full 30-minute episode mix in with them) and every episode; Milo Murphy (voiced by comedian Wierd Al Yankovic) and pals get through all sorts of trouble; be it runaway train, falling debris, natural calamities, even getting abducted by aliens.

Yes, I witnessed the first two adventures of Milo and pals; Zack and Melissa, and with everything falling on them, this new show packs some good vibes and there's a reason to smile about it. For a walking disaster like Milo, this show got our excitement flowing through our veins and we really wish our life is as thrilling as Milo's, if we're prepared for the worst because the worst things to come could be our best day ever and this new show means a lot.

Milo Murphy's Law is airing on Disney XD on the 3rd of October. Check local listings. For those with the WATCH Disney XD app can watch the pilot episode anytime.

My favorite Star vs. the Forces of Evil moments

The new season of Disney XD's hit TV show, Star vs. the Forces of Evil kicks off tomorrow morning and it's great to see the universe's ridiculously ugly (but downright funny) magical girl from the Kingdom of Mewni, Star Butterfly, and her best friend from Earth, Marco Diaz, back for more adventures. In honor of the show's new season tomorrow, time to jot down my favorite Star moments; the good, the bad, and the downright ugly (just like Star herself).

1) Star Butterfly is a wayward princess from the Kingdom of Mewni who loves adventures and kicking monsters' butts. On her 14th birthday, her parents, the king and queen of Mewni, gave her the magic wand and promised her to take full responsibility...which she didn't. Because of the fiasco, her parents exiled her to the Earth dimension...which she find this dimension rather amusing. Upon encountering with a high school boy named Marco, things get spiraled out of control until an evil baddie named Ludo and his henchmen plotting to steal Star's magic wand to take control of the universe. Can't say whatever the heck's going on but we had fun watching the first episode where a partnership between a mischief-making princess and a buttkicking Earth boy are forged for many endeavors to come.

2) To compensate from Star's poor grade from the exams, she plays matchmaker to Ms. Skullnick, until she turned her into a monstrous troll, which wowed the crowd. Unknown by them, Ludo and his henchmen take advantage of the situation and attack Star for the wand. While the gang busy buttkicking Ludo's henchmen, one of them fell in love with Ms. Skullnick. Well, you get the idea but it's ridiculously funny to see, especially when we want to "feel the love".

3) Afraid that when Star's magic wand loses all her power, all of the wand's magic will be disappeared forever, she and Marco warped to a dimensional shop called Quest Buy to buy a new charger for her wand. However, they've been tailed by Ludo and the chase is on for the wand's new charger. Wow, for a magical girl like her, she can be very absent-minded when she realized that her wand's charger got sucked by a vacuum cleaner that Marco used at the end of the episode.

4) It's Marco's parents' anniversary and the gang tries to find a perfect present for them. Despite Star's parents warned that she should not leave Earth indefinitely, she took the whole Diaz family to a trip to her home kingdom, Mewni. During their little tour, Star didn't realized that her dad is here and she had to keep themselves down or else her dad catches her red-handed. As the Diaz family vacation's getting more and more risky, it's up to the gang to save the day until she got caught by her dad, who embraces his wild side. What the two didn't realized that they're both have monster butt-kicking genes and decided to keep it a secret between them. Talk about parental bond, if you know what I mean?

5) The Mewberty episode takes the puberty to a whole new meaning as when Star undergoes "Mewberty", she goes boy-crazy, even Marco. Unable to cope up with Star's uncontrollable situation, Marco tries to find her book of spells and negotiates with Glossaryck of Terms on how to deal with Star's uncontrollable situation. Sadly, Glossaryck's not helping and Marco's bracing the aftermath of Star's Mewberty. Looks like the ugly one gets even more uglier for Star.

6) After one interdimensional prank call, Star found out that her magic mirror's out of credits and the only way to reload her mirror is to enter Pixtopia to pay the bill. Unprepared, Star and the gang got caught up on a one-sided battle against pixies until one of them fell in love with...the pixie queen. Pixies...they're so aggressive on humans, especially other-dimensional ones like Star.

7) The Blood Moon Ball episode is the turning point of the show and when Star's demon ex-boyfriend, Tom, invites her to the Blood Moon Ball, Marco's unaware that this once-in-667-years-phenomenon was a moment that was destined for each other. Desperate, Marco rushes to the Underworld in his Dia de los Muertos costume, stealing Star on the floor, and when the blood moon (or total lunar eclipse) shines, the two dance each other until the secret's out for Star. Are Star and Marco destined to be each other? Sounds romantic by best to keep it to the viewers themselves.

8) It's Pony Head's birthday and with Star and Marco heard that Pony Head's life is in danger, the two are entering their biggest fear of their lives, St. Olga's Reform School for Wayward Princesses. As Star disguised as one of the guards and Marco disguised as a wayward princess, the two infiltrated the reform school to save Pony Head...only to realized they were too late. With Pony Head getting all "mannered", the two are trying to bring her waywardness back while still on the run by the reform school guards and the headmistress,

9) When Star heard about a commercial for a "banagic wand", she and Marco set off to "a better store" near them. Sadly, Marco has some karate lessons, meaning Star will have to set off alone to "a better store" while facing disastrous troubles all in the name to get...(whispers) the banagic wand.

10) When Marco got kidnapped by an evildoer named Toffee, Star made an unlikely alliance with her arch nemesis Ludo to "storm the castle". This season finale is definitely the biggest turning point for Star Butterfly as in order to stop Toffee, sacrifices has to be done and when she done that...whispering spell, everything starting to unfold and with Toffee defeated, Star's wand is gone until...her wand found out to be upgraded with a major twist. Half of the wand's crystal is missing and where could that be?

Looks like the race is on as the new season of Star vs. the Forces of Evil kicks off tomorrow, July 11, 2016, at 10:30 AM Pacific Time on Disney XD. Check local listings.

The Secret Life of Pets

In the world we live in, we love our pets. Cats, dogs, any kind of animal we kept and sheltered, pets are not just animals, they're became part of the family. We really wonder what would pets do when we are away from them. What are they doing while we are away from home? Well, in this movie made by the same humans behind the Despicable Me films, this explains everything.

The Secret Life of Pets

The Secret Life of Pets is an animated family movie that features an eclectic all-star voice cast of Louis C.K., Eric Stonestreet, Kevin Hart, Jenny Slate, Ellie Kemper, Lake Bell, Dana Carvey, Hannibal Buress, Bobby Moynihan, Steve Coogan, and Albert Brooks. This is the fifth movie made in partnership between Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment, studio behind the Despicable Me films and Megamind. This film introduces an eclectic cast of characters such as Max, Duke, Snowball, Chloe, Gidget, Sweetpea, Buddy, Mel, and Leonard, and when their owners left them at home, their big adventure begins as they rush through one hilarious mishap after another. For the pets themselves, this day is never going to end.

Although somewhat bland and a bit too cute to look at this film, this family film is proven to be one heck of an all-out riot and an all-out laugh trip for those who are looking for a good movie with some good vibes on it. Experiencing though the hilarious escapade in the eyes of the pets sounds so ridiculously funny, it makes viewers think they want to unleash their wild side and knowing this film is just the tip of the iceberg. For good times, bad times, and the downright infuriating times, The Secret Life of Pets is going to be one heck of a classic the more you keep watching this film over and over again and because this is made by the same people that smiled us with their Minions from the Despicable Me films, viewers are getting the rush of it.

Conclusion? Although not a good movie to watch, it's still a great laugh trip with some good vibes to ham it out for the fun of it and when it comes to hilarity for a family movie, consider this.

My rating: 3.6 out of 5.

Finding Dory

Dory is by no means one of our favorite characters in 2003's Disney-Pixar flick Finding Nemo because of her iconic dialogue to remember for, even if we had short-term memory loss. Because of her knack of comic dialogue that cheered us up, in fact, she even made her the star in the sequel film.

Finding Dory, the sequel to 2003's Finding Nemo, brings the aquatic tale we all love when you and I are young to a new direction and promises the same comic dialogue we all love. Of course, TV presenter Ellen DeGeneres reprises her role as, hers truly, Dory as well as Albert Brooks as Marlin from the first flick.

Unknown to her bittersweet past, Dory sets on an adventure to reunite with her parents after a terrible incident separated them years ago, and that meant she ends up on another side of the ocean. With the help of old pals Marlin and Nemo as well as new allies such as the octopus Hank, whale shark Destiny, and beluga whale Bailey, Dory will have to keep swimming to reunite with her long lost family, no matter the odds. Whoops, I just said that line. Just keep swimming, just keep swimming, just keep swimming, swimming, swimming...

Just for the record, the storyline feels almost the same as the original because the stuff you saw in this flick kinda reminds you of the original flick 13 years ago, but since this is Dory we're talking about, fans can venture on her secret origins and as the movie progresses, the more pieces about her are building in until they get the whole story about Dory's origins.

Storyline aside, the fun factor is what pleases the moviegoers and because of Dory's comic dialogue that made people smile. you can expect moments that are going to be iconic in the world of Disney-Pixar movies and if there's something we all learn from this flick, it made us keep swimming and be fluent in whale. What the hay, this film has the best vibe since the first one, in fact, this film has some good vibes that can make you laugh and cry.

My rating: 4.6 out of 5.

The Angry Birds Movie

One of the angriest family movie adaptation of one of the angriest app games ever launched has landed on the big screen as The Angry Birds Movie will show jut how "angry" this family movie is and judging by just how awesome is the movie is, this blows...

The Angry Birds Movie

So, what's it all about The Angry Birds Movie? Well, it's about three birds (played by comedian Jason Sudeikis, Frozen's Josh Gad, and Danny McBride) declared war on the bad piggies after the pigs' "friendly arrival" ended up stealing the birds' beloved eggs for food. Yep, as if they didn't had enough problems, these birds can't fly but they have to devise something that can launch themselves through piggy territory and that's how the Angry Birds story kicks in, featuring some of the iconic birds as seen from the franchise.

Anyway, no need to explain the whole story about how our favorite video game birds declared war against the pigs for numerous reasons but alas, here goes the many people who think that this film is considered to be...cute. Well, don't ask but nothing's cute about the characters depicted in the movie adaptation of everyone's favorite video game that made millions of angry users launched millions of birds for the record, because the more this movie progressed, the more you can imagine just why there are some would refer it to be cute.

Although the story can be somewhat too tacky, the fun factor as a family movie really blows like the black Angry Bird because with all that comedy and adventure, and the never ending fight between good and evil, it's clear to say that The Angry Birds Movie is not a cute movie but rather an awesome movie just like The Lego Movie years ago because when you think this movie is cute, it's tad boring but when you think that this movie is awesome, it really is an awesome film to have the rest of the family enjoy it.

It's been minutes since fans got hooked from the Angry Birds franchise on their smartphones and with this film, this hilarious family movie brings "Angry" to a whole new meaning and who can blame this? It's the birds we have to thank.

The Cute Wall (Volume Thirteen)

Now, the moment of truth is time because it's now time to do...THE CUTE WALL!

Yes, it's back and...I smell trouble.

What trouble?

You know that last time, someone put the names of Resident Evil heroines in the SERIOUSLY NOT CUTE position in our Cute Wall. Now, there's something strange going on again and this time I got new names in the list. Care to read?

Let's see...hmmm...Maya Fey, Pearl Fey, Ema Skye, Trucy Wright, Kay Faraday, Athena Cykes...oh my!

What?

These are...the babes from the Ace Attorney franchise. Most of it were positioned at NOT CUTE.

Are there anyone other than those in the NOT CUTE spot?

I think that's it.

Maya...If she founds out that we called her not cute, her deceased sister Mia's going to hunt us down in the afterlife...

...still, could be worse. We could be facing...OBJECTION!...by the legendary Ace Attorney Phoenix Wright.

(audience laughing)

I don't know who put these on the lowest spot in the wall, but whoever that is, someone must have developed a deep-rooted hatred among CAPCOM babes.

(audience laughing)

OBJECTION! Oops, sorry, didn't meant to say that line. Sucks being a fan of the franchise. He he he...

Yeah right. Looks like you've been digging too much Ace Attorney stuff. So, what should we do know Mr. I-am-about-to-get-sued?

Laala Manaka

This idol girl. I don't know who that is. Do you know who's that idol girl?

Think so. It's...Laala Manaka? From Pripara?

Pripara?!

Looks like your love for idol anime has gone one step further and now thanks to your newly found obsession with Pripara, you found yourself hanging with the Pripara heroine herself.

Laala. She's just your average little girl but she's doing her best to become the best idol. Hmmm, kinda reminds me of Aikatsu but...these two idol anime shows are like the rivalry equivalent of Pokemon and Yokai Watch.

What do you mean?

Think about it, shows like Aikatsu and Pripara, they're made for the little girls, while shows like Pokemon and Yokai Watch, meanwhile, it's just for the little boys.

I see. They're all kids shows, I presume. So, thoughts on Laala?

Well, she's just like any other idol girls in anime, standing tall to reach the top of her stardom. For that, I know where to put here in the Cute Wall which is none other than...CUTE.

(audience laughing, then applause)

Cute, huh? Okay then. If Laala's deserved to be cute, be my guest.

So, who's next?

The Powerpuff Girls

Wait...I remember those three...it's the Powerpuff Girls!

(applause)

Yes. It's The Powerpuff Girls. We used to watch those when we are young and now, they recently returned with a brand new show.

It's a great thing this show is back in its classic looks with modern feel to the famed cartoon. I mean, it's fantastic to see Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup back on the telly again.

Indeed. Back and cuter than ever.

Cute it is. However...only one of the PPG is considered SERIOUSLY NOT CUTE and I know who that is.

Who is it?

Of course. I know who's SERIOUSLY NOT CUTE. It's Buttercup!

(audience laughing)

Buttercup's a toughie and all tough girls are not cute, you know.

Some fans think Buttercup's cute.

Not for me, it isn't. You know that Buttercup loves kicking butts because she's the toughest of the three and like I said. I should put Buttercup in SERIOUSLY NOT CUTE. Also, I don't find Blossom to be cute.

(audience laughing)
Eh?!

I always thought I respect Blossom because she's the smartest and the leader of the pack but...all that jibber-jabber really bores me so...NOT CUTE for Blossom.

(audience laughing)

Don't tell me, you're going to put Bubbles in...

CUTE.

CUTE?!

Yes. Cute. Because Bubbles is the cutest of the three and if you people are asking why the new PPG show is considered a cute show to watch, best to consider that Blossom's NOT CUTE, Buttercup's SERIOUSLY NOT CUTE, and Bubbles' CUTE. End of discussion.

(audience laughing)

You know, we haven't talk about the Million Live girls yet.

Million Live? Did you mean THE IDOLM@STER MILLION LIVE?

Yes. IM@S Million Live. Last year, we had the original 765 PRO girls as well as the Cinderella Girls back at the CUTE WALL, not to mention why putting both Haruka and Uzuki at the top of the Cute Wall that is NAKAKAGIGIL by the way.

I remember that but do me a favor, will ya? Because I am not heavily interested with the whole Million Live crud, care if you can put most of Million Live's best alongside with the Ace Attorney babes...wha?

Oh no! Someone put Mia's name on it...on the SERIOUSLY NOT CUTE!

(audience laughing)

It's a posthumus nightmare! And there's a new name I'm not familiar of...

Hmmm...Rayfa Padma Khura'in. Who's Rayfa?

(audience murmuring)

Rayfa? She's the new Ace Attorney babe?

Indeed, she is. She's Rayfa, in the upcoming Ace Attorney Spirit of Justice game. She is the priestess who uses Divination Seance to witness the slain victims' final moments before their death, which makes her somewhat one of the key characters in Phoenix Wright's new chapter. Anyway, who would rather put her in the SERIOUSLY NOT CUTE spot right next to...IDOLM@STER's Takane Shijou?

Perhaps she reminded me of my...princess.

(audience laughing)

Reminded you of Takane, I suppose. Anyway...(struggling) I can't take her off from the SERIOUSLY NOT CUTE spot. Someone must have put Mighty Bond on her.

(audience laughing)

Agh. Let's forget about it because someone who has hatred among CAPCOM babes really want a piece of us. Anyway, where was I, oh yeah! About those Million Live girls you were talking about.

Like I said. Million Live's finest; Mirai Kasuga, Shizuka Mogami, Tsubasa Ibuki, Shiho Kitazawa, Umi Kousaka, Julia, Megumi Tokoro, Yuriko Nanao, Serika Hakozaki, Anna Mochizuki, Kana Yabuki, and Nao Yokoyama.

So...uh...what would want me to do with those?

Put them to...NOT CUTE.

(gun clicks, gunshot)

Just like that.

(audience laughing)

The Cute Wall (Volume Twelve)

Now, the moment of truth is time because it's now time to do...THE CUTE WALL!

Yes, we're back and seems that we got the whole Cute Wall fixed after the whole fiasco last time where you are going to put Meowth on the CUTE WALL but I chopped it with a chainsaw. You know the rules, NO VILLAINS ALLOWED, okay? Do this again and this wall's going to chopped into halves. Worse, little pieces that are hard to put back.

(audience laughing)

All right. No villains allowed. Speaking of which, who added these?

Hmmm? That's odd. I don't remember adding those. Let's see...hmmm... (reading)...Huh?

What is it?

It's the list of...leading ladies from the Biohazard franchise! It doesn't matter if they're lead roles or supporting roles, what matters is, someone demanded that these leading ladies from the Biohazard franchise are SERIOUSLY NOT CUTE and I got a letter, care to read it?

Okay.

Let's see...hmmm...Dear...whoever you are reading this letter, I just want to write to you that even if it's the 20th anniversary of the Biohazard franchise, known globally as Resident Evil, I want to demand you that since you're doing the whole Cute Wall thing, please don't consider the heroines from the franchise as CUTE or whatever it was. These women are too weapons-grade or military-grade for their own performance. Even for their dramatic performance in a lead role or exceptional performance in a supporting role, whatever you don't DON'T CONSIDER THEM CUTE.

Wonder why?

Beats me. Whoever writes this letter sure has some weird backstory. Probably because someone once tried out both installments of the so-called Project X Zone RPG games, a collaboration of Japan's big three game makers in history, and he was so upset that some from the Namco side of the RPG didn't made the cut.

Was it...

Don't ask. So, in respose, he wrote me with this and told that the heroines from his favorite survival horror games should be placed in the worst spot of the wall, which is SERIOUSLY NOT CUTE by the way. Name those Biohazard heroines, both leading and supporting, please.

Jill Valentine, Rebecca Chambers, Claire Redfield, Ada Wong, Ashley Graham, Sheva Alomar, Helena Harper, Sherry Birkin, Moira Burton, Natalia Korda. That's all I know.

Thank you. Sorry Bio ladies, someone's right. You weapons-grade waifus don't deserve to be cute. Hold on, if we put them here, what should we do next to the women of CAPCOM games?

(laughing)

Who's next?

Matsuno brothers

(audience laughing)

Permission to say sheeh! Because the Matsuno brothers from the recently concluded Osomatsu-san are here!

Osomatsu-san? Is this the show with the "six shame faces" on it doing hilarious misadventures one after another? Yeah, right. But did you watch the finale?

Oh, yeah. I got laughed at the finale that the Matsuno brothers are in a game of baseball and they win some, lose some at the end. I thought they are going to unleash their most powerful selves but ended up flying in defeat.

(audience laughing)

I know. So, do you have thoughts on the Matsuno brothers?

Well, since the Matsuno brothers; Osomatsu, Karamatsu, Choromatsu, Ichimatsu, Jyuushimatsu, and Todomatsu, have different kinds of oddball personalities, I got to say that I like being one of them, even in their different versions from their Girlymatsu selves and their more handsome F6 versions.

Really? But do you know where you'll end up with if you are one of the Matsuno bros?

Where?

To the bottom of the wall.

(awww...)

Sorry, bud. SERIOUSLY NOT CUTE is where the brothers are heading to. Ha ha ha...

(audience laughing)

You really don't care about them, no matter how funny they really are?

Yup.

Wow, you're pretty are much like them, all right. Anyway, ready for Aikatsu Stars?

Aikatsu Stars?

It's a new show that will succeed where the original Aikatsu left off with a new cast of characters. It appears you and I are fairly familiar with this kids show because...well, our heads are cramped with idol girl stuff.

(audience laughing)

Yeah, you're right. Maybe we haven't get to know the original Aikatsu for a lifetime and I heard it's already finished in time before the new Aikatsu Stars series kicks off. If some fans can remember, they've watched the finale last week, about the same time when we go to the Final Love Live concert. Man, the world of idol girls are getting the feels about the departure of popular school idols in preparation to newer generations.

How should we do with the stars of Aikatsu now that their show's finished?

Let's give them an honorary mention in the CUTE WALL before getting introduced to the stars of Aikatsu Stars. Okay? The SERIOUSLY NOT CUTE award goes to...

(audience laughing)

Miyabi Fujiwara, Risa Shirakaba, and Rin Kurosawa.

(audience laughing, and applause)

NOT CUTE award goes to...Sumire Hikami, Juri Kurebayashi, and Nono Daichi.

(audience laughing, and applause)

Now, the CUTE award goes to...Hinaki Shinjo, Madoka Amahana, Kokone Kurisu, and Nina Dojima.

(applause)

And now the NAKAKAGIGIL award goes to...

(drumroll effect)

Ichigo Hoshimiya, Aoi Kiriya, Ran Shibuki, and Akari Ozora!

(applause)

And there goes the Starlight Academy's hall of fame from the original Aikatsu anime. Now, it's time to know about the new Aikatsu Stars!

Yume Njino

Rola Sakuraba

Well, here they are and they look less interesting than the original Aikatsu leads but anyway, these girls are the stars of the show. Their names are Yume Njino and Rola Sakuraba and they are freshmen at a prestigious idol academy ruled by the academy's elite idol group S4; comprising senior year students such as Hime Shiratori, Tsubasa Kisaragi, Yuzu Nikaido, and Yozora Kasumi. Truth be told, I'm not heavily interested with the elite S4 in the new series. Best to put it in the NOT CUTE for pending investigation.

(audience laughing)

Okay, fine. Don't say I didn't warned you. Anyway, tell me more.

Well, like the original, Aikatsu Stars still has the same formula that combines "idol" and "magic girl" and in this show, idols will use Aikatsu cards to unleash its effects and sing their way to become the top idol of the academy. That's all I know.

(audience laughing)

Anyway, where should we put the new heroines from the new show?

Let's put it in CUTE for a while. It's tough getting to know the new generation of idols. It's a good thing we have THE IDOLM@STER to thank for the rise of idol girls in TV shows and games.

(audience laughing)

Braixen

What the...? Who's that?

Is that Braixen? The Pokemon that was evolved from a Fennekin? What's it doing here?

I don't know but back then, we put Fennekin in the cute spot because of its doggy looks. Now that Braixen appears, what's your say?

I don't know, but...

(witch laugh)

Aw, crud! What the heck was that?!

Uh...you know the Wii U version of Pokken Tournament? Braixen was on it as a Wii U exclusive Pokemon alongside Garchomp and I guess there's one thing about this Pokemon.

Witchcraft?!

Exactly! RUN!!!

(Zap!)

(Zap!)

(Burn!)

(Burn!)

 SEVERAL MINUTES LATER

IT ENDED UP IN THE NAKAKAGIGIL SPOT! How's that even possible?

When Braixen unleashes its Synergy Burst, in unleashed its burst attack called the Psyfirecracker. Sucks being a bad wolf that knows witchcraft.

Perhaps this is how it defeated the three little piggies.

(audience laughing)

(witch laugh)

Calm down, buddy. Let it go. Otherwise, we'll be falling victim to its witchcraft again.

Sigh...

Disney's Zootopia

Disney's Zootopia

This is the latest animated film ever to be brought up by the creative minds from the wonderful world of Disney. It's called Zootopia and in the world of Zootopia, animals are behaving just like us, doing their hectic lifestyles, and enjoy whatever on their hearts' content. In this mammal metropolis, everything is possible.

So, how did the innovative people behind hit animated Disney films such as Frozen and Big Hero 6 came up with this unique environment where animals of all kinds get together in the big city? Well, for starters, the people behind the film imagine what would it be like if animals play the part of...us and do all sorts of stuff normal people would do such as shopping, going to work, exercise, politics, crimes, whatever all sort of stuff. That's where the idea of Zootopia was born.

The film centers on two protagonists; Nick Wilde, your basic city fox (who turns out to be a scam artist, by the way), and Officer Judy Hoops, a female cadet police officer who strives to fit in with her larger colleagues, and together, they can get through all sorts of Zootopia, knowing what is like to be wild in the urban jungle they're stepping on.

From the Sahara Square, Tundratown, Rainforest, Savanna Central, Little Rodentia, even straight to Mayor Lionheart's office, the world of Zootopia really is every animal lovers' fantasy come true as the movie tries to impress younger viewers the wonders of this mammal metropolis while dealing with a rather good storyline that doesn't feel much as exciting as the other Disney films. Think about it, coming up with the world where animals living like us, it's definitely possible in the world of cartoons but in terms of fandom, they should probably do better than that because getting to portray as their favorite Zootopia characters seems difficult than they ever imagine so please don't. Let the little kids dress up as their favorite Zootopia characters because little kids are better than grownups when it comes to dress as animals.

Either way, Zootopia may not be one of the best films to show this Spring season but this is the ideal family movie to watch especially those who want to get their wild side on even in this modern landscape you and I are stepping on.

My rating: 3.5 out of 5.

The Cute Wall (Volume Eleven)

Now, the moment of truth is time because it's now time to do...THE CUTE WALL!

Yes, we're back and looks like I'm feeling something special for this.

You're right and since we're nearing to celebrate Pokemon's 20th anniversary and I can't believe 20 is considered to be the lucky number for 2016 because of....well, think about it; this, Biohazard, Sakura Wars, do you know any stuff celebrating its 20th year this 2016?

(audience murmuring)

Well, whatever, but hey! You once made a list about the cutest Pokemon, although there are some of the cutest Pokemon didn't listed in this Cute Wall. Let's have a look...

Clefairy, Jigglypuff, Chansey, Eevee, Togepi, and Scraggy. The ones I listed on the list of the cutest Pokemon but haven't listed here. Best to leave the verdict to you.

Verdict? But you listed it. Why don't you do it?

Oh, all right. I'll put Clefairy, Jigglypuff, Chansey, and Eevee on the CUTE spot. Scraggy...um...better put it on NOT CUTE.

(audience laughing)

As for Togepi, you'll be sitting with Pikachu today because you get the top spot! NAKAKAGIGIL!

(audience laughing)

Speaking of which, I once watched the XY&Z anime series and care to guess what that is?

Squishy

Wait, I know! Isn't that what they called the Zygarde Core?

Exactly. And would you like to know the core Bonnie called when they first met?

Squishy?

You're exactly right! It is Squishy. I don't know why she called it Squishy but that's a good name, I'll give you that. So, what do you think about Squishy?

Well, to be honest. I'm starting to adore that Squishy. Believe it or not, it looks cute when its asleep.

(audience laughing)

Cute when Squishy's asleep? Better be advised that if your new friend turned into the many forms of...well, the three forms of Zygarde, it will be scary as,...ahem.

Oh yes....

So, verdict?

Well, since I'm starting to like that Squishy, I made a sweet spot so Pikachu can enjoy it. Welcome to the NAKAKAGIGIL club, Squishy!

(audience laughing, and applause)

Any other Pokemon to be considered...cute?

Hmmm....how about this? Tepig?

I think Tepig is already proven to be cute when the Black and White years began. Put him in CUTE.

All right. How about Snivy?

CUTE as well.

(audience laughing)

Hmmm...What about Chikorita?

Chikorita's a cute Pokemon and I already know where to put it. CUTE.

Okay, CUTE it is for Chikorita.

(audience laughing)

Do you know any starters we didn't put here?

Well, I have a Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. Sadly, only one of these first starters is considered cute and that's Charmander so I'll put Charmander in the CUTE spot while Bulbasaur and Squirtle will be placed at NOT CUTE because I don't find them to be cute.

(audience laughing)

I also don't find Cyndaquil to be cute so NOT CUTE for this one. However, I do find that Totodile, one of the Johto starters, to be somewhat cute so I'll just put it in the CUTE spot for keeps.

What about the Hoenn starters?!

Treecko's not cute. No wait! Treecko's SERIOUSLY NOT CUTE. But Torchic and Mudkip are so they deserved a spot in the CUTE zone.

(audience laughing)

Well, we already put Piplup in the Cute Wall a long time ago. What about the others? Turtwig and Chimchar?

Sorry to say, I don't find either of these two cute so it's a NOT CUTE for both Turtwig and Chimchar.

(audience laughing)

Oh wait. It's a CUTE for Chimchar. I must apologize.

(audience laughing)

Oh, here we go with that beauty pageant mistake dialogue again. Hmmm...Everyone, what's your say about Meowth?

Who?

(audience laughing)

Meowth. Everyone's favorite talking feline villain who is the third member of Team Rocket. Although I find Meowth to be the bad guy, it also one of my favorite bad guys in the history of animation because it's always a cat and mouse chase between Ash and Pikachu and Team Rocket so if it's okay if I...

(chainsaw whirring)

(audience laughing, then applause)

Do not...

(Applause continues)

Do not put villains in the Cute Wall. Now, look what just happened.

What did I do?

Run. Run or you'll be a lot shorter.

(audience laughing)

GSV TIZERGB UZOOH URMZOV

If you know the secret message above, it says "THE GRAVITY FALLS FINALE". So, how was it?

Gravity Falls finale

The finale episode titled "Weirdmageddon 3: Take Back The Falls" sees Dipper and Mabel band the remaining residents of Gravity Falls as well as the other monsters such as the gnomes, the Man-otaurs, the golfballs, the multi-bear, even Rumble McSkirmish, to stage a resistance and save the universe from Bill Cipher's impending plot to destroy the universe, even if it means that one of the Pines will face the inevitable sacrifice.

Upon saving Great Uncle Ford in Bill's Fear-amid while Bill's eye got ruptured by the Shacktron, Ford utilized a plot to defeat the space demon and that meant utilizing the ancient prophecy that only the ten individuals bearing the significant symbols are the key to eradicate Bill.

Ford, Stan, Soos, Wendy, Dipper, Old Man McGucket, Pacifica, Mabel, Lil Gideon, and Robbie V, they're bearing the symbols prophesized to defeat Bill but due to the sibling rivalry between the two Stans, the prophecy's failed and Bill's taking them hostage along with Dipper and Mabel but Mabel sprayed Bill's eye, prompting the Mystery Twins to get away. Meanwhile, the two Stans confessed themselves about their pasts while the Mystery Twins reached the dead end.

Caught by Bill, Ford's ready to pay up the ransom (by letting Bill entering Ford's mind) and when the ransom's done, Bill entered Ford's mind when suddenly, Bill saw Stan. Bill fell for the switch glitch and with Bill trapped inside Stan's mind, Ford's firing the memory-erasing gadget (as seen from the Society of the Blind Eye) to Stan, eradicating Bill Cipher out of his existence, but sadly, Stan's memories also wiped out as well.

Following the victory against Bill Cipher, the Mystery Twins are trying to recover Stan's memories and then Mabel's scrapbook comes into mind (and so is Waddles), the key to recover Stan's memories. Nothing like a good old family bonding in the end.

Onto the climax; Gravity Falls is back to the way things were, Mayor Tyler Cutebiker passed the "Never Mind About That" Act, the Northwest family went bankrupt and all their properties now belonged to Old Man McGuckett, Lil Gideon's moved on from his bad ways and living like a regular kid (almost), and the Mystery Twins celebrated their 13th birthday. However, following Ford's decision to join Stan to his journey, Stan announced that he's shutting down the Mystery Shack for good but Soos opposes because most of the dreams, even his, are on this Shack. Thanks to this persuasion, Stan appointed Soos as the new manager of the Mystery Shack.

A day later, the Mystery Twins bid everyone at Gravity Falls farewell, even the Stans, Mabel's friends, and Wendy who swapped hats with Dipper and gave him a farewell letter. However, there's one individual too bonded to have it left and that's Mabel's pig Waddles and thanks to the Stans threatening the bus driver, Waddles is joining Dipper and Mabel on their journey home.

The finale of Disney's hit TV show Gravity Falls brings joy, sadness, anger, disgust, and fear among viewers while witnessing the Pines' final battle against the god of destruction even if noble sacrifices are meant to be made for the salvation of the universe and even though the show ended its four year run since it started last summer 2012, you, I, and the rest of the fans, will remember this instant classic show about the pre-teen twins solving mysteries in every single corner after another for generations to come. If I had my last words about this show, I would say I am thankful to have such a show like this because like what Dipper said "It's part of growing up. Everything changes. Summer ends," but even Gravity Falls is over, this show will be remembered forever by kids and kids once upon a time, even me.

Speaking of which, did you caught the glimpse of the final secret message during the final credits roll? If so, what's it said? Anyway, no time to crack what's the final secret message is but I hope everyone enjoyed the finale.

Thank You, Gravity Falls.

GSV GVM YVHG TIZERGB UZOOH NLNVMGH

If you know this secret message above, that means "THE TEN BEST GRAVITY FALLS MOMENTS". Now, moving on...

Image: Disney

After a four-year run, Disney's hit animated TV show, Gravity Falls, reaches its climax on President's Day (February 15, 2016) with a one-hour finale where the Pines and the rest of the Gravity Falls residents staged a resistance to save the world from the clutches of Bill Cipher and end the Weirdmageddon once and for all. That's right, it's payback time and it's time to take back the falls.

Before witnessing the liberation of Gravity Falls this Presidents' Day, time to honor the impending liberation by listing down the ten best moments in Gravity Falls history, the moments when we saw the Mystery Twins at their very best.

1) The pilot episode will always be the most memorable moment in Gravity Falls history and this is the episode we should all deserve an awkward sibling hug at the end of the day. In the first episode, we saw Dipper and Mabel arrived at Gravity Falls to spend their summer vacation with their Grunkle Stan, only to find out that this place holds so many paranormal mysteries. The gnomes are just the start of the Mystery Twins' quest to solve the mysteries of this mysterious town and also the zombie. the hat that Dipper wore throughout the show, and the grappling hook Mabel got.

2) In the "Double Dipper" episode, Dipper has a lot to do on his list while the Mystery Shack throws a wild party. He wants to spend the night with Wendy but complicated things set them apart until Dipper encounters a mysterious copy machine that makes copies of himself but sometimes, more isn't better because the Dipper copies are having a mind of their own. Like paper, the Dipper copy can get dissolved by anything liquid, even water.

3) Who wants a Lamby Lamby Lamby? I do! I do! In the episode "The Inconveniencing", in order for Dipper to save Mabel and a bunch of teenagers, including Wendy, he has to confront against the ghosts running amok from the abandoned convenience store. Those ghosts as it turned out to be an elderly couple died from a heart attack after being attacked by teenagers after banning them from the store. To do that, the ghosts asked him to do a funny dance and that's how Dipper got to do the Lamby Lamby Dance. With the costume set, he's doing the dance to please the ghosts, setting everyone free. Still a good moment to enjoy than getting high on Smile Dip that Mabel had. THE FUTURE IS IN THE PAST! ONWARDS, AOSHIMA!

4) If you can have one video game character come to life and become your bodyguard, who will it be and why? That's the question that comes to mind when Dipper summoned a video game character named Rumble McSkirmish from Fight Fighters when he tried to use the so-called "ultimate power" combo. Originally, he wanted to have his video game character to give Robbie a good kicking but when bad things happened, it's up to Dipper to stop Rumble. Those video game references on it really got my inner geek going.

5) Their first encounter against the demon named Bill Cipher in the Dreamscaperers episode is the turning point while Dipper, Mabel, and Soos, work together to stop Bill from entering the biggest secret of Grunkle Stan's mind that would spell doom to the Mystery Shack. Because they're at the dream world, anything is possible to defeat Bill. After defeating Bill, they've succeeded to save Grunkle Stan but Gideon used force to take over the shack. In the first season finale titled "Gideon Rises", just when all hope is lost to regain the shack from Gideon, Dipper and Mabel thrown everything they got to defeat Gideon. In the end, Grunkle Stan exposed the truth that Gideon's a fraud and the shack is back in business. The biggest mystery remains is what's under the shack that Stan's working on?

6) Into the Bunker sees a much tougher Wendy while the gang is exploring under the mysterious bunker to further investigate who is the author behind the mystery journals. This is the very episode that Dipper told the truth about his feelings for Wendy and who can blame them?

7) In the episode Society of the Blind Eye, Dipper and Mabel believed that Old Man McGucket is the alleged author of the Mystery Journals and he was one of the many people whose memories wiped out by a cult known as the Society of the Blind Eye, led by Blind Ivan. With the help of Old Man McGucket, the gang investigate the mysterious cult and then take them out for good, especially when it comes to wiping out the leader's memory. It is believed that the gadget used by the cult to erase everyone's mind is an invention of McGucket himself during his youth but McGucket's not responsible for the mystery journals. Question is who?

8) This is where the biggest secret in Grunkle Stan's life is uncovered as in the episode "Not What He Seems", he was captured by government agents, trying to uncover the truth behind the anomalies surrounding Gravity Falls. As for Dipper and Mabel, they're uncovering what's under the shack, which is none other than the portal from another dimension which one of the journals claimed that it will trigger the end of space and time. In the end, the portal didn't triggered cataclysm but it unleashed a mysterious figure who looks just like Grunkle Stan.

In the episode "A Tale of Two Stans", the man in question is the real Stanford Pines, the six-fingered man behind the journals while the Grunkle Stan as we know is actually Stanley Pines. Viewers witnessed how the twins' tales unraveled to the very story we are seeing it now. With the truth uncovered, government agents surrounded the Mystery Shack but one of the real Stanford Pines' inventions managed to slip past through the agents. In the end, Ford demanded Stan that when this summer's over, he wants his name back and shut the Mystery Shack forever.

9) Dipper and Mabel's 13th birthday is drawing near and in the episode titled "Dipper and Mabel vs. the Future", viewers find out that living an imminent teenage is harsh as they thought. Mabel wants to throw a big birthday party but all is grim when their birthdays will happen at the end of summer, Wendy warns that high school life is harsh, and her friends are leaving. As for Dipper, he's working alongside Great Uncle Ford to investigate a mysterious UFO which contains a special adhesive that will one day save time and space. The end of the episode is rather shocking because not only Mabel learned the truth about Dipper's, she was fooled by Bill Cipher, who used Blendin Blandin's body, and unleashed Weirdmageddon.

10) The demon known as Bill Cipher ruled Gravity Falls with an iron fist upon unleashing the ultimate terror known as Weirdmageddon and with most of the residents as well as Great Uncle Ford and Mabel held captive by Bill, only a handful of survivors such as Dipper, Wendy, and Soos must survive the nightmarish reality. The first part of the Weirdmageddon is very weird and very terrifying but the storyline keeps getting hotter and hotter as viewers witnessed how will Dipper survive the onslaught to save his sister and in due course, the world. In the second Weirdmageddon chapter, Escape from Reality, the trio entered Mabel's Bubble and while the two got succumbed into their temptations, Dipper tries to expose the truth inside this bubble and that meant going on court to reveal how much the twins bonded each other for bad times and good times. From awkward, now sincere, the bonds between the twins are stronger than ever.

Now that the twins reunite and the shack's intact along with Grunkle Stan and the handful of survivors, including the Multi-Bear, on it, will they take back the falls and win the battle against Bill?
