The Cute Wall (Volume Ten)

Now, the moment of truth is time because it's now time to do...THE CUTE WALL!

(applause)

Yes, we're back after a hiatus and it's a new year, right? So, who would you want to start with?
Komasan

Say, buddy, who the heck was that?

Ah, that's Komasan from Yokai Watch.

Komasan? You mean THE Komasan from Yokai Watch?

Exactly!

So, tell me. How much do you know about this yokai?

Well, not much. Apparently, he has a brother named Komajiro

Komajiro

(ooohhh)

So, Komasan and Komajiro, let me guess, they are brothers, right?

Yes. You know this one time, when I watched this show for the first time, there were shorts of Komasan and Komajiro venturing through the city to find a living, they've faced so much hardships just for the sake of themselves.

Indeed. They're just Yokais venturing in the city. If I had to evaluate their cuteness, I had to say they're rather fine by me. At this rate, I wanna hug them as much I wanna hug Jibanyan.

Yes, I know. So, where should we put them?

Let's put Komasan and Komajiro in the cute spot, if you know what I mean?

CUTE it is, then.

(audience laughing, then applause)

Noibat

Who's that Pokemon?

(audience laughing)

It's a Noibat. What's wrong? Afraid that one of the Noibats will bite your butt off?

(audience laughing)

Now, look what you did. You scared anyone in the wall. Anyway, tell me more about this Noibat.

There was this one episode when the gang help Gym Leader Korrina looking for a Mega Stone for her Lucario until a horde of Noibats swarming in. One of the Noibats landed on Serena's face, the other bit Clemont's butt. Some, grabbed Pikachu's ears. Well, you get the idea. But there was also this episode where a Noibat hatched from an egg and became part of Ash's Pokemon entourage.

I see. Wait. You said one of the Noibats bit Clemont's butt in one episode? Wish I want one because someone's butt is going to be bitten off by a Noibat.

And what might have be?!

(audience laughing)

Never mind, but in the meantime, I'll just put it in the NAKAKAGIGIL spot.

Okay, then. I thought you're just planning on something something....

(audience laughing)

Yes. I am planning on something something because if I had a Noibat, I want to use it on...

POW!!!

(audience laughing)

Wha....what was that?

Croagunk

Oh, sorry. I should have noticed that we had a Croagunk loitering around this segment.

Croagunk?! The Toxic Mouth Pokemon that tends to Poison Jab Brock when he falls in love with a lady in the Diamond and Pearl TV show?!

Yes. Yes it is. And now, he Poison Jabbed you.

(audience laughing)

Ugh.... You, don't do it again, okay? No Poison Jabbing on unexpected persons, okay? Consider yourself SERIOUSLY NOT CUTE.

(audience laughing)

That's what I think it is?! SERIOUSLY NOT CUTE? For a Croagunk that Poison Jabbed you in your butt?

Indeed. That's the biggest punishment I ever gave it to Croagunk. Man, how many Pokemons do we have to meet up on this segment?

Well, since it's Pokemon's 20th anniversary this year, expect hordes of Pokemons coming at this segment anytime soon.

(audience laughing)

The Lion Guard

Who are those?

They're the main characters of Disney Junior's newest TV series, The Lion Guard, due to air this month. There's the main character, Kion, who is a cub, and then they're Kion's friends who will work together as a team. There's Fuli the cheetah, Beshte the hippo, Ono the egret, and Bunga, who is a skunk and a nephew of Timon and Pumbaa.

Let's cut it short, okay? I once saw the special last year and I was adored by the bravery they've committed to explore, rescue, and protect.

Kinda like...

Shhh....shhh...shhh... Kids are looking forward to this new show this month.

Yeah, right now, there's slew of merchandising in store for them.

Exactly! But there's just one thing between these little critters...

What?

(whistling)

You're kidding...

What I said was...I don't find them to be cute.

(audience laughing)

I kid you not. I don't find these critters to be cute so...It's a NOT CUTE for the young heroes of the new show.

(audience laughing)

We Bare Bears

Huh? Who are those bears?!

Hey, you haven't met Grizz, Panda, and Ice Bear from Cartoon Network's new show, We Bare Bears.

I saw those bears doing all kinds of stuff in their bear cave and in the city, why would you want to evaluate how cute are those? I don't find these bears to be cute...

(audience laughing)

Well, I think someone else knows...

Whatever. Even though there is someone who think these bears are cute, I don't find them to be cute. They're....boring.

(audience laughing)

What are you doing, little man?!

I'm putting in the place where you can't reach it!

(audience laughing)

I'll put in the CUTE spot just so you can't reach it. Ha ha ha!

(electrical buzz)

What?!

Classic Top Gear moment! I managed to hit the kill switch!

(audience laughing and applause)

Ooh! What's this? The boys from IM@S Side M? Wow, can't believe he's been on the first ever Side M concert last month.

What are you doing?

Seriously not cute, seriously not cute, seriously not cute, not cute for Pierre, SERIOUSLY NOT CUTE!!!

(audience laughing)

Can I come down now?

Hmmm.....Ice Bear says no.

Our favorite Robot Chicken Star Wars jokes

Courtesy: Cartoon Network

Continuing on the Star Wars celebration in honor of the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens, in theaters this Friday, let's take a look of some of the most insaniest, most politically incorrect, Star Wars jokes pulled by Adult Swim's mentally insane stop-motion comedy gag show, Robot Chicken. From the first Robot Chicken Star Wars special, to Episode II, up to Episode III, those three Star Wars specials sure know how to make a Star Wars joke the morally incorrect but outrageously funny sort of way.

1) Imagine a fateful moment when you encountered George Lucas at a Star Wars convention. That will be so cool....so...cool...

2) It's hard being a Stormtrooper taking your kid on a "Take your daughter to work day". As a matter of fact, parenthood is the harshest thing of our lives.

3) Hey, Han. Shoot your gun, not your mouth, wise guy.

4) Of course, Luke Skywalker was shocked when Darth Vader is his father but there's more to it than that...

5) George W. Bush is addicted to...The Force.

6) Luke Skywalker and Emperor Palpatine battle it out in a Yo Momma fight.

7) Could Emperor Palpatine's day get any worse?!

8) Boba Fett's back from the dead, a-holes!

9) You thought your best friend's a traitor after being lured by the Empire? Still, could be worse...

10) The Empire on Ice!

For some hilarious Robot Chicken Star Wars clips, visit youtube.com/adultswim

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is showing in theaters this December 18. Be sure to watch Robot Chicken on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim late-night block.

(Sorta) Remembering those Family Guy Star Wars spoof specials

Continuing on the Star Wars celebration in honor of the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens, who else remember the time that FOX's animated sitcom, Family Guy, once spoofed the Star Wars trilogy from A NEW HOPE to the RETURN OF THE JEDI? Yes, I know, that show is well notorious for putting Star Wars references through the years and who can blame them? It's the producers to blame for putting Star Wars jokes in the hit TV show but the biggest of all the Star Wars jokes in the show is those Family Guy Star Wars spoof specials, just to keep them from moaning about this show has too much Star Wars jokes on it.

For some purposes, the Family Guy producers imagine what would Luke Skywalker be like if Darth Vader is his brother, Han Solo is his dad, and Princess Leia is his mom. That's why they've pitched in Chris Griffin as Luke, Stewie Griffin as Darth Vader, Peter Griffin as Han Solo, and Lois Griffin as Princess Leia, among many others including Brian as Chewbacca, Cleveland as R2-D2, Quagmire as C-3PO, and Herbert as Obi-Wan Kenobi.

First up, there's FAMILY GUY's take on STAR WARS: A NEW HOPE, called Blue Harvest. Well, you don't need me to explain about what just happened, it's more of Family Guy's retelling of the first Star Wars film made. From Mos Eisley to the Millennium Falcon, there is no bit of A NEW HOPE is safe from signature Family Guy moments. We kinda enjoy the one part where Herbert (as Obi-Wan) does Dirty Dancing.  The sofa joke is not so bad, but the climactic battle at the Death Star is what punched me through.

Two years later, THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK has been spoofed and retold in SOMETHING, SOMETHING SOMETHING DARK SIDE. Yep, that title of Family Guy's spoof of The Empire Strikes Back kinda remind you of a cutaway gag where the Emperor tries to figure out the Star Wars dialog. "Something, Something, Something, Dark Side. Something Something Complete." Anyway, in here, Luke (Chris) has a vision of his late mentor Obi-Wan (Herbert), telling him to go through the Dagobah system to meet Yoda (Carl). Meanwhile, Leia (Lois) and Han (Peter) are in love until a fateful encounter with Lando Calrissian (Mort) lured him to the Empire. It all ends when Luke faces off with Darth Vader and there goes...well, you know the iconic part.

IT'S A TRAP is the conclusion of the Family Guy Star Wars spoof specials and it's basically the spoofed version of STAR WARS: THE RETURN OF THE JEDI. In the finale, we can see Lois' dad, Carter, (who was Uncle Owen in the first one) re-emerged as the nefarious Emperor Palpatine as well as Peter's paraplegic best friend Joe as Jabba the Hutt. Cleveland Show's Rallo and Fred and American Dad's Klaus made special appearances as well. It's worth more enjoyable to watch than seeing Luke (Chris) accidentally broke Darth Vader (Stewie)'s head before escaping the second Death Star, getting ready to be blown by the rebel squadrons.

So, those Family Guy Star Wars spoof specials, they maybe more of an insult to the original Star Wars films buy for an average Family Guy fan, they're worth enjoyable to watch over and over and over again. Sadly though, these hilarious trilogies were not as hilarious as what the stop-motion gag show Robot Chicken did to Star Wars. That thing comes later.

If you haven't seen these three specials, they're available to stream via Amazon or Netflix. Star Wars: The Force Awakens is showing in theaters this 18th of December. And watch Family Guy on FOX. Check local listings.

Disney's The Good Dinosaur

For the first time, there are two Disney-Pixar films shown in the year 2015. Last summer, we've ventured to an emotional rollercoaster ride with Joy, Sadness, Disgust, Anger, and Fear in Inside Out, and now, just in time for the holidays, there's a brand new Disney-Pixar movie adventure that retains its uniqueness, something that Pixar's done so hard for the past twenty years since the first Toy Story. It's called The Good Dinosaur.

In the alternate prehistoric time history when the asteroid that changed the world forever missed the planet, dinosaurs are taking the same path to civilization that humans did. Enter Arlo (voiced by Raymond Ochoa), the youngest and smallest of his three siblings who struggles to live with his family until a fateful tragedy where Arlo gets washed up away from his home. Struggle to find his way home, he encounters a little boy and the unlikely duo sets out on an amazing journey that they will remember forever.

Like any other Disney-Pixar films like WALL-E and UP, this film suffers the same issue in terms of storyline because some people might think that it feels so pointless to watch and it's nothing more of almost a two hour boredom fest about a little dinosaur and a little boy venturing out on fantastic places but despite its boring storyline, some might find that this movie is, what the kids would say, cute. Indeed, it's somewhat a very cute movie that requires no words to describe it and because this is a Disney-Pixar film, it still incorporates emotions very well. We can be happy, sad, scared, annoyed, or angered but The Good Dinosaur still carries out the traditional Disney-Pixar heritage that most moviegoers, even the little tykes, cherished through the years.

Although boring to watch, The Good Dinosaur is just one of the many movies you would stand up and cheer. It's also the ideal family movie to watch in time for the holidays so why not watch it with your whole family? After that, you might ask the kids if Arlo's their favorite cartoon dinosaur and if they do, they really agreed that they love this kids film.

Get to know the animal agents in The OWCA Files special

Tonight in North America, Disney XD will air a brand new Phineas and Ferb special episode titled The OWCA Files. Yes, we thought we're done with the show ever since the Last Day of Summer finale but fans want to see more platypus action and on this special, Perry's summoned by Major Monogram once again and this time he must take on an enemy from Major's past, played by Paul Reubens.

Perry's not alone though because he'll gonna need some help with his new animal operatives to finish his biggest mission yet. Let's meet the operatives!

- Harry the Hyena - He's new to OWCA but because he's a hyena, he tends to laugh most of a time. Don't think of him as a laughing stock because this big guy packs a bite!

- Karen the Cat - This feline operative is new to the Organization Without a Cool Acronym. Don't let her cute looks deceive you because deep down, she's one ferocious feline.

- Maggie the Macaw - OWCA's new operative has the sharpest beak of all as well as she's the smartest operative around.

- Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz - Ah yes, our favorite evil genius, or what we thought of him. Thing is, he once had a crack on being a good guy in one episode where Doof got permitted to OWCA since he was raised by ocelots. With Doof taking a break from his usual evil inator shenanigans, he gets tagged along with Perry for their biggest mission yet. Expect some Doof and Puss moments, though.

The OWCA Files special airs on Disney XD tonight at 7:30/6:30 central. Check local listings.

The Peanuts Movie

The Peanuts Movie
Charles Schulz's beloved masterpiece, the Peanuts, has landed on the big screen with their first-ever CGI-animated film that is fit for the whole family, even the kids who aren't familiar with the Peanuts or heard of it. The Peanuts Movie brings most of your favorite characters in one place from Charlie Brown, Linus, Lucy, Schroeder, Snoopy, Woodstock, and many many of the Peanuts kids because in this film, well...it's partly random if moviegoers are honest.

Made by the people who brought you the Ice Age films, The Peanuts Movie is a CGI-animated take on the classic cartoon icons where everyone's favorite blockhead, Charlie Brown, tries to become the best but sometimes, his lack of motivation is what makes Charlie Brown...well, Charlie Brown. When the arrival of the new girl sparks Charlie Brown, how can he redeem himself for being a blockhead and become the achiever he hoped for?

In true Peanuts fashion, this film is all about fun and games at the start because every time you see most of the Peanuts characters donning their signature personalities, even Snoopy, they can be easily recognized by people who are familiar with them back when they were young and that's old-school for some. For those who aren't familiar with the Peanuts, this film may found out to be unknown to them but they can get used to it as long as there's someone familiar with the Peanuts teaching who these characters are. Even though this is a modern take on the classic cartoon icons, it feels unknown and a bit Charlie Brown-ish, but behind most of the niggles, there are some values learned through the film and it's all about encouragement, motivation, and the will to pursue your dreams.

That's what The Peanuts Movie is made for...reaching for your dreams and never giving up on the challenges you set foot on. Even if you're familiar or not with the Peanuts characters and the heritage that Charles Schulz did for them, you should try watching it for a change, even your kids would enjoy it for a change.

My rating: 3.4 out of 5.

Krz wr guhvv dv Glsshu ru Pdeho Slqhv

If you're a fan of Gravity Falls who can understand the secret message on this title, it says "How to dress as Dipper or Mabel Pines".

Anyway, Dipper Pines and Mabel Pines, the so-called Mystery Twins who are here to solve the supernatural phenomena lurking around the town called Gravity Falls.

We all enjoyed watching that hit Disney animated series because with a blend of horror, comedy, drama, romance, adventure, and the inevitable plot twists that keeps the viewers guessing what's next, Gravity Falls is already turning to be the next Adventure Time for all the wrong barrels.

Yes, you can dress yourself as either Dipper or Mabel, so here are some useful bits of advice that will make you become one of the Mystery Twins.

As Dipper:

- Dipper's signature hat is a white and blue cap with a pine tree on it. It's hard getting the real thing so it might best to improvise it with your own creativity.

- For his top, Dipper wears a red shirt and a dark blue outdoor vest. Those are easy to find at the shops as long at they match Dipper's.

- Dipper's shorts can be somewhat grayish or blackish. I don't know what but I belive it can be grayish so feel free to find whatever shorts you can find as long as it matches Dipper's.

As Mabel:

Now this is the difficult bit because Mabel's outfit keeps changing per episode and so are her sweater designs. Apart from the sweaters, the color of her headband and her skirt also changes per episode.

I've gone with one of my favorites for you, ladies, to consider for your Mabel cosplay;

That said, you are free to replicate whatever sweater design Mabel pulled off every episode, as long as you got the corresponding headband and skirt that well-suited for the sweater design of choice.

And that's it! You're done. Becoming one of the Mystery Twins is one way of saying you are ready to investigate the world's strangest moments just like in the show. Whether if its world-threatening prophecies, people with abnormal looks, or other paranormal activities that lurk around everyday, like what the mystery journals told, you can be sure that your outfits are ready to take on whatever the supernatural throws at you, Gravity Falls-style!

Good luck and BEWARB!

The Cute Wall (Volume Nine)

Now, it's now time to do...THE CUTE WALL!

And before we do that, you may remember that last month, we had the 765 PRO ALL-STARS from THE IDOLM@STER to have their cuteness evaluated because last month, we celebrated the series' 10th anniversary with some big stuff happened. Now, with the Cinderella Girls anime ongoing, it's time to call on...

Time to call on the CINDERELLA PROJECT from the anime, yeah, whatever. So, little man, who's first?

LOVE LAIKA

Ah, I see. Minami Nitta and Anastasia from LOVE LAIKA. I find that odd why did they name the duo LOVE LAIKA. What is it?

Beats me. Maybe this is like giving a finger on the rival Love Live series, I suppose?

(audience laughing)

I see you got the point here but another thing that bothers me is that Russian chic Anastasia.

Half-Russian. She's half-Russian but the trouble is. there's also another Russian in the world of idol anime stuff. Eli Ayase from Love Live.

So, who was that Elichika again?

She's slight Russian. If you compare these two ladies, you will know that even though Anya-chan's half Russian, she's got more Russian charm than my precious Ellie.

(audience laughing)

Precious Ellie?!

Sorry. It's Elichika, I presume but you get the idea. The thing is though, my Elichika can say "хорошо" and your Anya-chan can say "спасибо", it will be like clash of the communists.

(audience laughing)

Oh, grow up, mister. And speaking of which, I think that Minami Nitta-chan's getting accommodated with her bestie very well. Think about it, it's like two different worlds colliding each other in the pursuit of talent and dreams. So, thoughts about the Love Laika duo?

Although, we wasted a lot of time talking about Anya-chan here, we got little time to talk about Nitta-chan here but sadly, Nitta-chan's looks aren't as cute as they say so it's a NOT CUTE for her.

(audience laughing)

As for Anya-chan, put her to the CUTE spot, for safe keeps.

Well done. So, who's next?

Rosenburg Engel

Ranko Kanzaki a.k.a. the Rosenburg Engel. Sadly for me, I don't think her gothic looks don't woo me as much as the other Cinderella Project girls I'll be dealing with later on.

(audience laughing)

Oh come on, can we give a little thought about Ranko-chan here?

No, sir. Her gothic lolita looks don't surprise me so it's a NOT CUTE for me.

(audience laughing)

Okay, Ranko-chan's not cute, I admit, but she isn't half bad because...she's got the moves.

Too late, little man. It's already been posted. Let's move on with CANDY ISLAND.

CANDY ISLAND
Ah, CANDY ISLAND.

CANDY ISLAND. Why did they name it after Flapjack's dream destination?!

(audience laughing)

I don't know but anyway, CANDY ISLAND consists of Kanako Mimura, Chieri Ogata, and everyone's favorite; Anzu Futaba.

Anzu Futaba? The little girl who keeps wearing her favorite shirt with words I don't really understand?

Uh-huh.

There's no wonder why everyone who got hooked on Cinderella Girls love that particular character but look at her...she's as lazy as a Slaking.

(audience laughing)

Yes. I admit she's lazy but she's a cute lazy girl, don't you think?

No. She's not cute, she has to let the other two go to the CUTE spot while I'll be leaving Anzu-chan to the lowest spot that is...SERIOUSLY NOT CUTE.

(audience laughing)

Buddy, you know that Problem Solving part on that noon-time show we often watched, and then the duo between an old and rich granny with the yaya tagging alongside?

Oh wait, isn't the yaya who only speaks in audio bites from other stuff, I presume?

It's Dubsmash, fat boy.

Whatever.

You were that old lady who drives her yaya away from her boyfriend.

(audience laughing)

Anyway, never mind about that and let's move on to the next...

Decoration
It's Decoration, ladies and gents. Miria Akagi, Rika Jougasaki, and Kirari Moroboshi. Yes, these three are very cute but nothing's as cute as Kirari's.

Kirari Moroboshi?! The onee-chan of the trio? Something's fishy about her...

Hmmm?

I have a sneaking suspicion that Kirari's kinda like Yayoi Takatsuki meets Azusa Miura. Notice the hair? Her hair resembles like Yayoi's and that's not the end of it. It's her watermelons...

(audience laughing)

Look at the size of her melons...reminds me of Azusa's...

(audience laughing)

Cut it out, okay?! You're too much! Anyway, thoughts?

Well, judging from the size of her melons, we don't want to disappoint Kirari-chan and her fellow girls so, let's give these three a decent spot they truly deserve and that's in the CUTE spot.

(applause)

There you go, Rika. Hope your big sis Mika's going to be proud of you when she sees you as part of the other CUTE characters, okay?

(audience laughing)

*(Asterisk)

Who are these?

Riina Tada and Miku Maekawa. They're known as *(Asterisk).

Shoddy name for an idol duo but these two are pretty much like us...

(audience laughing)

Yes, pretty much like us. Anyway, how would you describe these two?

Simple really. Riina Tada loves rock and roll and Miku Maekawa frolics like a feline. Between you and me, that Miku-nyan is becoming a total pain in the arse.

(audience laughing)

Much like you...

(audience laughing)

Huh? Why?!

She's kinda obsessed with stuff that don't matter but anyway, enough chitter-chatter, let's give thoughts about these two.

Anyway, at first, I thought Tada-san's the feisty type but she doesn't make anyone pee their pants on their way to the bedroom because look at her. She loves rock 'n roll but doesn't feel like a buttkicker to me. If by buttkicker, I mean of course, responsible for having the fans pee their pants in bedtime.

(audience laughing)

But despite not letting the viewers leaving their pants soaked in urine in bedtime, this rock 'n roll gal is one tough gal, I give her that. For that, I'll put her in the CUTE spot and as for Miku-nyan, you've been a naughty little girl.

(audience laughing)

Wait! Lemme guess, where should you put her, I presume?

NOT CUTE!

Hey! Spare her some time, man!

Sorry. No spares. The rules are meant to be followed, not modified.

(audience laughing)

Oh, she's going to regret you one day...

(beep! beep!)

What was that?

Is anyone ordered a bucket of fried chicken?

Oh, that was me.

Here's your order, sir.

Thanks.

Why did you ordered a bucket of fried chickens? What's that for?

Well, it's for dinner, tonight.

Dinner with what? Your family?

Suppose so, but I'm having a dinner of fried chicken with these!

new generations
(cheers and applause)

I see. You wanted to have a dinner with...new generations. That's why you've ordered a bucket full of fried chicken just to have a dinner conversations with Uzuki Shimamura, Rin Shibuya, and Mio Honda.

Correct. Everyone loves new generations because these trio are all they've got to keep the CINDERELLA PROJECT afloat and keep their strict producer proud of their achievements. For me, my favorite of the new generations trio is Uzuki Shimamura because, let's be honest, she kinda reminds me of Haruka Amami.

(awww)

Reminded you of Haruka Amami?! At least Uzuki's not as clumsy as Haruka's.

Yeah and tell you what, because she's my favorite, I decided to put her at the top spot which is...NAKAKAGIGIL.

(cheers and applause)

NAKAKAGIGIL, I presume. What about the other two?

Rin and Mio? Anyway, I find Rin to be rather the silent type of the trio and she's not bothered with all the emotion commotion. Every time when I want to see Rin happy, sad, scared, angry, or bothered, she's all the same. No emotions whatsoever but better still, it's good that she's a trustworthy idol of the trio and best if we can put her in the CUTE spot.

Hmmm...good point there but something bothers me about Mio Honda. See her name? Good because just because it has the Honda name in Mio Honda's name doesn't make it. Imagine if I had to pull up with the other Honda fanboys at a carpark and say "Look at me with my new Honda!", everybody will laugh tirelessly because what you brought here is not a Honda.

(audience laughing)

Yeah because sadly, her VTEC never really kicked in.

(audience laughing)

Her VTEC never kicked in like what every speedo boy's Honda do in the world. But despite her VTEC never kicked in, Mio's a buttkicker and whatever you don't best not to remember her at your sleep because if you do...some wee-wee will come out from your pants.

(audience laughing)

Sounds gross, but where should you put her?

CUTE. I don't want to have one member of new generations disappointed when we put her in NOT CUTE or SERIOUSLY NOT CUTE so it's best to put it here. So, here we are, all of the CINDERELLA PROJECT girls have their cuteness evaluated. So, what should we do now?

I don't know. Dinner?

Yes. Dinner. At least you got some fried chicken to eat.

Get your own meal. You know the bucket of fried chicken's reserved for me and the new generations trio.

Time for the recap!

Minions (2015 film)

The Minions of Despicable Me. They're cute, lovable, downright funny, and everyone in the whole world wants one. Upon witnessing their crazy antics in the first two Despicable Me movies, we got indulged into the Minion rush and developed our love among these banana-loving, gibberish-speaking, critters. Thanks to the Minions' popularity, they even got themselves their own film which served as a prequel to the Despicable Me films, about the secret origin of the Minions, and how did they live. In fact, they only live on obeying their masters.

In order to save the minion race, their only hope lies to the minions named Stuart, Kevin, and Bob, as they search for their master in the world of humans. Their quest starts from New York right until to the fateful encounter of one of the most ruthless supervillains in the world, Scarlet Overkill (played by Sandra Bullock).

Like most family movies, this movie balances the things that were right and the things that were wrong. One of them is the storyline because while this is mostly focused on the Minions' secret origins, it kinda felt rubbish as the story progresses but despite that, the sense of humor is highly inescapable because when the Minions pulled off one of their ridiculous moments, these moments will always leave viewers smiling with happiness. What this is is a feel-good family movie of the summer and despite the storyline feels so wrong, it's essentially enjoyable to watch right up to the ending that really surprises everyone.

Thanks to the Minions movie, it's never too late to join the Minion rush. If you're new or familiar with them, it doesn't really matter because it takes to getting used to it.

My rating: 3.9 our of 5

The Cute Wall (Volume Eight)

Now, the moment of truth is time because it's now time to do...THE CUTE WALL!

Now, this is going to be very special for us since July 2015 is the month we'll be celebrating one of the most popular game franchises of all and the one we all publicly love about...

Let me guess...IDOLM@STER?

THE iDOLM@STER

Yes. THE IDOLM@STER and since 2015 marks the 10th anniversary of THE IDOLM@STER, much like everything else in the world that entered the ten-year-olds club...

(audience laughing)

...what I like to do is we'll be doing it in two parts; first up, the 765 PRO ALL-STARS, and on the next part, the CINDERELLA PROJECT.

CINDERELLA PROJECT? Did you mean the 346 Productions' finest from THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS?!

Correct. IM@S CG. But first, let's start with the idols that started the trend.

Hold on, are we focusing on the idols appeared on the anime rather than the game itself?

Yes. And since both IDOLM@STER and IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls have anime shows, these will be the ones will be focusing at. So, let's start with our all-time favorite!

So, Haruka Amami. We'll start with that ribbon-wearing girl we all love if you may.

If I may, so, there's so many reasons why we all love her, well, apart from her charms that wowed the crowd. She's essentially the face of the franchise since when iM@S started life as an arcade circa 2005.

Face of the franchise?!

Yes. If you're asking any iM@S fan you know, the only gal they can think about when they hear "IDOLM@STER" is her and who can't blame them?

(audience laughing)

And if you watch the anime series, take note: the proper iM@S anime, not the sci-fi robot anime kind of iM@S, what's it called?

Xenoglossia. IDOLM@STER Xenoglossia.

Thank you, anyway, if you watch the proper anime series, we had a chance to know about her.

Speaking of which, have you already watched the IM@S movie last year?

Uh...I don't know but anyway, enough about that, what's to like about her?

Well, what I like about Haruka, apart from her carefree attitude that makes her prone to any mishaps, is her attitude towards her fellow idols. She's the kind of girl you would like to be part of the team because...she's the kind of girl who never lets her colleague giving up when times are tough. I am completely and utterly in love with her.

(audience laughing)

In love with her?! You got to be kidding me!

I kid you not. She's my favorite, she's your favorite, she's everyone's favorite in the world of IDOLM@STER so...where should we put her?

Well...since you're right about her, why not put her to the top spot of the CUTE WALL that is...NAKAKAGIGIL.

Are you sure?

Yes. She deserves the top spot but be warned. Don't position her next to Pikachu. She hates getting electrocuted.

(audience laughing)

You remember the episode from Brainiac when a group of cheerleaders get zapped by electricity?

Uh-huh...

One of those cheerleaders looked a lot like Haruka's.

(audience laughing)

Oh, okay. Next up, Yayoi Takatsuki!

Yayoi Takatsuki. Oh yeah, Yayoi. That little girl who does everything to her family and a very reliable idol in need despite her financial difficulties.

You sure done your homework, huh?

Yes it is. Binge-watched the entire series because it's IDOLM@STER's 10th anniversary after all. Anyway, since I told you anything about Yayoi in a short but simple manner, where should we put her?

Care if you can put her in...let's say, NAKAKAGIGIL?

NAKAKAGIGIL?!

I mean look at her, if you put her next to Oshawott, you can see their similarities when they're happy.

(audience laughing)

But Yayoi isn't as scary-looking as Oshawott's but okay. Let's put her here because of her cuteness equivalent to the sea otter Pokemon. Anyway, who's next?

Takane Shijou.

(audience laughing)

Oh dear. I am certainly not like her.

What's wrong? Oh, wait! I know...She was used to be...

I know, don't ask, but think about her, okay? She looks beautiful but she's as beautiful as a female baddie in a spy movie. Okay, imagine, if I was a special agent in a spy flick and if I had her in a date at a Monte Carlo casino, chances are she would poison me to sleep and I woke up in a baddie's secret lair.

(audience laughing)

I see. Between you and me, she made me pee in my pants when I think about her...

(audience laughing)

Oh dear. So, where should we put her? Oh! Wait! I know! Since we both have bitter experiences about Takane's seduction to anyone who's a fan of her, there's only one place we should put her...SERIOUSLY NOT CUTE.

(audience laughing)

SERIOUSLY NOT CUTE. Good point. Look! Your favorite, Chihaya Kisaragi!

The idol who devotes everything to music in a stoic manner. There's so much to love about her because it's simple, She has the most fantastic vocals than almost any of the 765 PRO ALL-STARS.

That's right, but sadly, there's a massive flaw about Chihaya's. The number 72.

(audience laughing)

72? Oh yeah...Her annoyingly flat chest size. Anyway, where should we put her?

Thanks to her stoic personality and her wondrous voice you would persevere, there's only one place I'll put her...to the CUTE spot. Sadly, our Haruka pal might feel disappointed why her beloved pal isn't as cute as her's so we'll put her in NAKAKAGIGIL for the good of it.

(audience laughing)

Hibiki Ganaha's next. Thoughts about her?

Uh...uh...Well, I think she looks childish but her smile is as nice as the sun shines on a beach. Think about it, if you would take her on a date, as a producer, what would you say to her?

I might say to her that I might be expressing my feelings in a dignified matter but because I failed her, there's nothing I can do about her.

(audience laughing)

There's also another problem about Hibiki's. Best not to look at her when her mouth's wide open because...she looks like a monster when you see her fang on her mouth. Ahh! She's a hideous monster!

(audience laughing)

So, where should we put her?

I know where should we put her. Try putting her to the NOT CUTE spot. Sorry, Hibiki. You better not show off your fang from your mouth.

(audience laughing)
Next up, Miki Hoshii. Is there something else you would like to talk about her?

About Miki Hoshii, she's the kind of blonde gal you wouldn't want to be part of your group because...she lacks motivation but has endless potential, you know that? Sadly, most of us would get super jealous about what Miki Hoshii can do. And she's also creepy, if you know what I mean?

(audience laughing)

I don't see something's wrong about Miki.

Yes there is because she's blonde, she's envy, we're extremely jealous on what Miki can do, and guess what? We're kidding about these stuff. Miki's a great gal, and she's more than enough to fill you in if things get a little busy. To be safe, let's put her to CUTE, just to keep Miki happy.

(audience laughing)

Oh...

Next up, Yukiho Hagiwara and what I have here is a bashful gal who's scared of males (well, except for the producer) and dogs but she's very exceptional with her talents on stage. She may not be a great singer or dancer but she's full of personality. You would really persevere her.

Yeah. I would definitely persevere her if she's down and if I was her producer, I would certainly be rooting for her. Touching, isn't it?

Yeah, I was going to say that but anyway, let's put her to the CUTE spot because she really feels that way. Who's next?

Oh, look! Iori Minase! It's one of the gals you really like!

Indeed, I really like her because, annoyingly, she's the kind of gal who proves she's always right when it comes to problem solving. She maybe cute but in truth, she's really a rather harsh gal.

Really harsh indeed because having grew up from a family who had their hands full with a conglomerate, Iori's kinda of a very harsh gal who tends to be extremely bossy but generally, she's friendly. She's also civilized. So, where should we put Iori.

This could be very difficult but because she's a rather harsh gal from a very wealthy family, my best decision will be, and not always a pretty one, putting her to the CUTE spot.

(audience laughing)

Next up, Ritsuko Akizuki. She's once an idol, now she's a producer-ish who's in charge of keeping her idols afloat. Between you and me, she has maternal instincts and she's the kind of gal who tends to bring you a nice box of lunch during break times.

Maternal instincts?

Oh yeah.

But she's more of a bossy kind of gal and tends to make sermons. Whenever the heck Ritsuko said, we can't do what she doesn't want. Agh...

(audience laughing)

Bossy?

She looks like a teacher. Look at her glasses. Look at her glasses.

(audience laughing)

Oh, you're right. But for me, there's nothing wrong about Ritsuko. She's a great gal, a very resourceful idol, and a great acting producer to get things right for 765 PRODUCTION. I am decided that I'll put her in the CUTE spot. So, who's next?

Oh no...It's Azusa Miura. Come on, Nobody likes her, right.

I disagree. She's like a proper idol for any producer who has an idea about what they're talking about.

Yeah but she's becoming a cogpiece for gentlemen whose sausages are going to wilt.

(audience laughing)

She's not the best idol, I admit, but she isn't half bad.

Yeah but she's got big chests and a very erotic voice.

(audience laughing)

So...for me, I'll put her in SERIOUSLY NOT CUTE. So sorry, too much SPG for gentlemen with fried bananas.

(audience laughing)

Oh yeah. SERIOUSLY NOT CUTE for Azusa. Sadly, we got another problem facing now.

Ami and Mami!

Yeah, Ami and Mami Futami. The twins with silly faces who tend to play tricks on almost anyone. So, do you have thoughts before these two play their joker cards hidden from their shirts?

(audience laughing)

Uh...Uh...Well...Ahhh....I think...I THINK THEY'RE BOTH CUTE!

(audience murmuring)

Yes. They're both incredibly annoying but they're both very cute in their own ways. Even though Ami and Mami are different from their personalities, they're still essentially tameable and I like them.

I knew it! So, where should we put them?

Since, they're incredibly good at being goofballs, let's put them to the NAKAKAGIGIL spot! Happy now, Futami twins?!

(audience murmuring)

Now it's time for one last 765 PRO idol and it;s...uh-oh...

Oh, I see, the buttkicker of 765 PRODUCTION. Makoto Kikuchi.

Yes. Makoto Kikuchi. She's the buttkicker who would most likely to jump out from the fridge and attack you. She looks like she's going to kill us all, with her idol kung fu.

(audience laughing)

If I see her, most wee and poo will come out from me.

Gets worse, she's most likely to machine gun us from the first place.

(audience laughing)

So, where should we put her, buddy?

Before she kills us, let's put her to the spot where Makoto-kun will never throw us to death with her CQC's. Let's put her to the SERIOUSLY NOT CUTE SPOT! Ha ha!

(audience laughing, then applause)

Well done, chap. Looks like this sweaty buttkicker will never grab us and slam dunk us to the floor because she's SERIOUSLY NOT CUTE and she deserved it. Ha ha!

Disney's Inside Out

For numerous years, the Disney-Pixar films have captured the hearts and minds of every family with their heart-warming stories and fun-paced adventures that satisfy the cravings of kids and kids-at-heart alike. Now, there's a new Disney-Pixar flick that is completely unique and this could be your must-watch film for the summer.

Welcome to the world of Inside Out, Disney-Pixar's latest flick about...well, emotions controlling our minds. There are five emotions taking control of us; Joy, Sadness, Disgust, Anger, and Fear. In this film, viewers are on an emotional rollercoaster (literally) in the mind of a young girl named Riley. When her dad gets a new job in San Francisco, she and her family moved out from her Midwest life and into a new home where life's about to change. With her emotions make sure that everything's okay in a totally new world, how would Riley and her emotions keep up?

The emotions really are the stars of the movie and because of the star-studded cast of Amy Poehler as Joy, Phyllis Smith as Sadness, Mindy Kaling as Disgust, Lewis Black as Anger, and Bill Hader as Fear, it made us sprinkled with joy. However, the storyline is a bit of a disgust for us...with a little bit of anger...or fear...or sadness. It's kinda confusing about how the movie's storytelling develops but despite the rather confusing storyline that keeps us guessing what's next for the emotions, it's still a fun movie to watch and because this is a fun Disney movie to watch in the summer, you might just find out which of the emotions from the film is your personal favorite, well, I'd prefer Joy by the way because..."It's a Great Day" for those who watched the film from the start to the finish.

Overall, Inside Out may not be one of the best family films to watch but it is essentially a great Disney movie to watch in the summer and because of such originality, there's a main reason why you should watch that film again and again.

My rating: 4.2 out of 5

PAF finale really ends this great show with a bang

The finale of Disney's hit TV cartoon show, Phineas and Ferb, titled Last Day of Summer, did ended the best cartoon show with a spectacular thriller that has been one heck of an adventure for Phineas, Ferb, and the gang, as well as Perry (Agent P) and Doof.

I don't want to tell what's what, but all I can say to everyone who witnessed the finale is...I've never felt so happy upon watching the finale. Yes, I may be sad to have my ever-favorite Disney show end, but I'm very happy that the ending is worth remembering.

This epic finale to a great show deserves a toast for spoons, oranges, or capri pants (what your mom's wearing now). When I said toast, I mean cheers. Yes. We deserve a big cheers for a great finale.

I just wanna say thanks for your wonderful adventures since your rollercoaster and please stay to our hearts and minds forever!

PAF FOREVER!!!

Things we love and we'll miss about PAF

Our ever-favorite inventive stepbrothers, Phineas and Ferb, will have their last day of summer this week and it's kinda sad to see our ever-favorite cartoon shows fading away like the sun sets, but having this show around for almost a decade, we witnessed their outrageous creations, the wildest adventures, and the hilarious rivalry between a secret agent platypus and a diabolical-but-idiotic evil genius trying to take over...well, you know. So, what are the best things we love and we'll miss from the world's favorite Disney cartoon show?

Inventions - From rollercoasters, time machines, racecars, games, anything that breaks the laws of sciences, Phineas and Ferb managed to turn the ordinary into extraordinary...much to the annoyance of their bossy big sis Candace. Even with help from their pals Isabella, Baljeet, Buford, and others, their out-of-this-world creations really proves that everyday is an adventure...right until the moment when everything disappears by the time Mom comes.

Doof vs. Puss - The famed and ever-battling rivalry of Perry the Platypus and Doofenshmirtz has been one of the enjoyable rivalry since...Tom and Jerry, SpongeBob and Plankton, Lupin the Third and Inspector Zenigata, Pikachu and Meowth, the Pink Panther and Inspector Clouseau, you name any famed rivalry you know. It's simple really, Agent P slips though his secret HQ, Major Monogram tells what's Doof is up to, break into ♫Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated!♫, Doof traps Agent P, tells his evil plot, turns his Inator on, Agent P frees himself, and mayhem ensues. This is how we really enjoyed their rivalry to the fullest. Sometimes, even the fiercest of rivals have to team up rarely to solve issues of their own.

PhineBella moments - I had no idea why we've include it but every time we see Isabella and Phineas together, you might think that it's all sweet like strawberry parfait served at the table but because Phineas spent most of the time planning stuff for their inventions, there's no time for romance with our ever-favorite Fireside Girl. However, things have changed when in the recent episode "Act Your Age", the one where Phineas, Ferb, and their pals are teenagers, Phineas and Isabella expressed their feelings and ended with a kiss.

Songs - One of the main reasons why we love most about Phineas and Ferb is the songs they're playing. Whether if there's "Squirrel In My Pants", an Intimate Get Together, a platypus controlling me, A-G-L-E-T (AGLET!), you can really have most of the PAF songs stuck in your head but the one song we'll always have it stuck in our heads forever is...you've guessed it...GITCHEE GITCHEE GOO! ♫Bow-chika-bow-wow, that's what my baby says, Mow Mow Mow, and my heart starts pumping, Chicka Chicka Coo Wah, Never Gonna Stop, Gitchee Gitchee Goo means that I Love You!

Guest Celebs - There has been numerous guest celebs in Phineas and Ferb as well as its "Take Two with Phineas and Ferb" talk short and it's too many to list! From boxing legend Evander Holyfield, comedienne Tina Fey, Food Network's Guy Fieri, Shake It Up's Bella Thorne, Lorenzo Lamas (as the cute but tough Meap), Seth Green, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, James May, David Beckham, Seth Rogen, Cedric the Entertainer, Taylor Swift, Shaun White, there are so many celebs guested on this show!

Crossover Episodes - With Disney taking full control of MARVEL Superheroes and STAR WARS, this show is taking advantage of it with two special crossover episodes. In 2013, there's Phineas and Ferb Mission Marvel where Phineas, Ferb, and the gang teaming up with Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, and Spider-Man to save the world from Red Skull and his ragtag group of Marvel supervillains. Then, in last year, we have Phineas and Ferb Star Wars where all of our favorite characters became part of the Star Wars universe.

DCOM - In 2011, the Phineas and Ferb experience has been pushed to the highest level with a Disney Channel Original Movie titled Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension. In the DCOM, Perry the Platypus' secret identity was revealed and with other-dimension Doof trying to take over two dimensions, it's up to Phineas, Ferb, and the gang will throw everything they've got to save the world. In the closing credits, rock guitarist Slash guest performs the DCOM's ending theme "Kick It Up a Notch".

Merchandise - There has been a slew of PAF merchandise provided for the fans of this hit Disney cartoon show. From toys, games, snacks, clothing, books, having a piece of Phineas and Ferb at home is just one of the many reasons why you'll love that show and if I may, I might be expecting someone who is a fan of this show and collects numerous PAF-related items more than I am.

The explosive series finale of Phineas and Ferb, titled Last Day of Summer, airs this Friday on Disney Channel and Disney XD. Check your local listings.
