BIOHAZARD RE:3

Last year, fans of the BIOHAZARD (Resident Evil) survival horror game franchise got blown away into terror with RE:2, the remake of the 1998 hit installment, BIOHAZARD 2. Despite its terrifying success, many are left wondering if there will be a remake to BIOHAZARD 3: LAST ESCAPE (Resident Evil 3: Nemesis). Worry no more because the long-awaited remake of the third installment of the BIOHAZARD franchise has arrived and it completes the retelling of the Raccoon City saga while incorporating the same knowhow from last year's installment.

BIOHAZARD RE:3 (PS4)
Like the original BIOHAZARD 3 game, RE:3 is set prior to the events to the previous installment while incorporating new ways to play never applied to RE:2. It was September 28, 1998, months after the mansion incident, where all hell breaks loose in Raccoon City due to the T-Virus outbreak. S.T.A.R.S. member Jill Valentine is pursued by a deadly bioweapon codenamed Nemesis as she tries to survive through the zombie nightmare. She then teams up with U.B.C.S. member Carlos Oliveira and then work their way to escape the hellhole they set foot by all means.

Just like last year's RE:2, RE:3 delivers the most fearsome experience in stunning detail courtesy of the RE ENGINE that powers it and while it delivers the same third-person perspective as last year's installment, RE:3 features new ways to survive the zombie attack. As Jill, you can side step to evade zombie attacks and if you get the right timing, you can execute the perfect dodge and better aim for a short period of time. Use your side steps wisely when you want to save some ammo for tougher fights and your life.

Also, there are materials that can be blown away when shot such as a barrel of gas, which is useful to blow away chunks of enemies, and power generators that can stun enemies around.

In addition to zombies and the familiar face we all know and feared, RE:3 features new creatures never seen in the original such as the Drain Deimos, the Hunter Gamma, the Ne-α parasite, and the Hunter Beta. Better watch out for these creatures impeding your progress.

As you progress through the story, you will gain new weapons and upgrade parts to power up your weapons such as the standard-issue handgun, the trusty shotgun, the ever-favorite grenade launcher, and more.

In later parts, you can play as Carlos as he's on the hunt for the scientist who holds the answer to this outbreak. While armed with an assault rifle, Carlos can execute a tackle to stun enemies and at the right time, he can trigger a cross punch attack. Put his abilities to good use!

When you think you had enough fun just because you finished the game on the first try, don't stop because there are plenty of challenges to complete and for every challenge completed, you'll earn points that you can spend on powerful items essential to your next gameplay. The easiest way to rake up some points you want for the rocket launcher with infinite ammo is focusing on the kill count challenges. Simple.

As RE:3 really is the much needed closure from last year's RE:2, there's more with this came from because when players bought the RE:3 game, they'll get access to the BIOHAZARD RESISTANCE multiplayer game. RESISTANCE is a 4 vs. 1 multiplayer game where four survivors work together to survive against hordes of monsters, with some unleashed by the mastermind. As a survivor, utilize on your signature abilities and then team up to survive all the way to the finish line. As a mastermind, meanwhile, it's up to you to make your opponents miserable by unleashing cards full of monsters, traps, and when necessary, a bioweapon. Each survivor has different abilities to master and each mastermind has a set of cards to make them more miserable.

The long awaited remake to the third BIOHAZARD game is no means one of the most thrilling survival horror games to play at times like this and with the addition of the RESISTANCE game, fans will love it even more. Enjoy playing RE:3 before that special someone comes to get you.
