- Palace Press Officer Claire Castro has announced that Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has appointed a new secretary for the Presidential Communications Office (PCO). The new appointee is Dave Gomez, a former journalist and the current communications director of PMFTC, the Philippine affiliate of Philip Morris International (PMI). According to Castro, Gomez has accepted the President's offer to succeed Acting Secretary Jay Ruiz. He will be the fifth secretary to lead the PCO during the three years of the Marcos administration.
- The Office of Civil Defense reminded the public to remain alert and be careful of the ongoing effects of the southwest monsoon, which was strengthened by Typhoon Bising, even though it has already left the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
