- The first day of Manibela group's strike was generally peaceful, according to the Philippine National Police. The MalacaƱang appeals to the Manibela group to first talk to the government so that commuters are not affected by the traffic jams.

- United States maritime expert Ray Powell reported on his X account that two Chinese Coast Guard ships intercepted two Philippine ships inside Scarborough Shoal. The Chinese aggressive actions affected the BRP Bagacay and BRP Datu Pagbuaya..

- Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. may visit the White House to meet with US President Donald Trump in the coming months following two consecutive visits to the Philippines by two US officials.

2025 NASCAR Cup Series - Straight Talk Wireless 400

Homestead-Miami is the next stop for the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series with the Straight Talk Wireless 400.

As the green flag waved, the action in Homestead-Miami was underway with Stage 1 seeing an opening lap contact involving the No.11 and the No.41 cars followed by Christopher Bell sliding badly. With Ryan Blaney taking Stage 1, Stage 2 belongs to Denny Hamlin. As the final stage approaches, Ryan Blaney experiences problems that make him surrender followed by Alex Bowman hitting the wall while Kyle Larson is in the lead.

Alex Palou made headlines at The Thermal Club by making a late push to overtake Pato O'Ward and win the second race of the season. The standout moment of the race, however, was Christian Lundgaard achieving his first-ever podium finish by coming in third place.

The next race is the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach this April 13, 2025.

WRC 2025: Safari Rally Kenya

The 2025 World Rally Championship continues with the Safari Rally Kenya. From scorching desert conditions to muddy paths, the drivers are throwing all means necessary to survive and dominate one of the harshest rally events in history.

Elfyn Evans made headlines as the winner of this season's Safari Rally Kenya by beating Ott Tanak by 1m9.9s, cementing his lead in the championship leaderboard. Thierry Neuville completes the podium by finishing 3rd amid a one-minute time penalty due to gearbox issues, jump start, and late arrival.

The next event is the first-ever Rally Islas Canarias this April 24-27, 2025.

F1 2025 - Heineken Chinese Grand Prix

Formula 1's 75th anniversary celebration for the Heineken Chinese Grand Prix continues in Shanghai. As Lewis Hamilton delivered his first F1 Sprint win as a Ferrari driver, some say he has a chance. However, can he overcome the team-related problems that hurt his chances in the past? Let's find out.

Oscar Piastri leads McLaren's 1-2 finish in Shanghai with Lando Norris finishing 2nd, giving last year's constructor's championship-winning team a lead in the standings. George Russell of Mercedes-AMG, meanwhile, finished 3rd.

Alpine driver Pierre Gasly, and the rest of Ferrari, Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc, were disqualified as the cars of Leclerc and Gasly were found to be underweight with Hamilton's car having excessive wear on its skid block.

Hamilton's Sprint effort gone to waste following the disqualification while McLaren's leading the constructor's championship pack with Norris still leading. It's still too early to tell.

The next race will be in Suzuka for the Lenovo Japanese Grand Prix this April 6, 2025.

F1 Academy 2025 - Shanghai

Now in its third season, the F1 Academy Racing Series is participating in the Formula 1 75th-anniversary celebrations with Shanghai, the venue for the Chinese Grand Prix, serving as the first stop of the 2025 season for this all-female junior racing series. With the addition of the Hi-Tech team and a host of new faces, the 2025 season centers on who will be the next to follow in the footsteps of past champions. In the first outing of the 2025 season, Shi Wei has been named as the inaugural wild card entry, but she faced some heartbreak before her home crowd, including getting beached mid-race.

The first race of the season saw the first race win of newcomer Alisha Palmowski of Campos Racing backed by Red Bull. She led a 1-2 finish for the Campos team with Chloe Chambers, backed by Red Bull Ford, finished 2nd. Maya Weug, the MP driver backed by Ferrari, finished 3rd. In the final race, meanwhile, Doriane Pin, PREMA driver backed by Mercedes-AMG, is the winner, beating Weug and Chambers in the fray.

The next race is at Jeddah this April 18-20.

- Heathrow Airport is closing all day in response to a "significant" power outage linked to a fire at an electrical substation.

- US President Donald Trump signs an executive order to begin dismantling the US Department of Education.

- Former Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon is no longer a suspect in the police investigation into SNP finances. "I am completely in the clear," says Nicola Sturgeon, after police investigating SNP finances say she is no longer a suspect.

- Eddie Jordan, the former racing driver, F1 team owner, and Top Gear presenter, passed away at the age of 76.

- TOEI announced a new Digimon anime series, titled Digimon Beatbreak, airing this October.

- The family of the late actress Kim Sae Ron reacts to marriage and abortion allegations. A few moments ago, a YouTuber exposed Sae Ron's alleged marriage, pregnancy, and abortion.

- BBC's Doctor Who TV series casts Kadiff Kirwan.
