The big news today!

1) Superstorm Yolanda update

DOST's Project NOAH (Nationwide Operational Assessment of Hazards) released the list of municipalities seen to be affected by superstorm Yolanda (world name: Haiyan). Most of the areas from the Central Visayas, including Bohol, which was stricken by the October 15 earthquake, will be affected but some parts of Luzon and Mindanao, especially Metro Manila might be affected as well.

2) Bee and PuppyCat Kickstarter update

With just a week away from the deadline, backers all had the hammer down because as of now, about 12,397 backers pledged $574,512 out of the $600,000 target. Just about 30,000 left and Bee and PuppyCat finally have its series after all. Don't forget to back this project while you still can! PuppyCat needs you!

3) Ascari Race Resort to hold GT6 launch event

Top Gear fans will recognize this place as the Ascari Race Resort, the place where in the Series 10 finale of BBC Top Gear, the boys test the C63, M3, and the RS4 round the track. Not only that, this track appears in Jeremy Clarkson's DVDs such as Supercar Showdown and Duel. With the Ascari Race Resort now included on the upcoming Gran Turismo 6 video game on the PS3, reports confirmed that Ascari will host the launch party here.

Despite that GT6 no longer has Top Gear because of Forza 5, at least I now have the next best thing!

The EK-spec Civic Hatchback is a one step further from the tuner-favorite EG-spec Civic hatchback. Although more of a full model change, it's still a favorite among tuners everywhere because being a Honda, it will always have a wide reputation of being tuned by hardcore car enthusiasts. No matter the age, it's still one of the coolest JDM hatchbacks known to men.

Sesto Elemento means Sixth Element in Italian and when you look that up in the periodic table of elements, that sixth element is carbon, making this a carbon-wrapped masterpiece only Lamborghini could ever think of and it's a track-only monster so you can't use it on the road sadly. Even though it's powered by the same 5.2L V10 from the Gallardo, it takes 2.5 seconds to accumulate a 0-60mph sprint and because it weighs less than the subcompacts, it has a stronger power to weight ratio of 0.57 hp/kg.

Philippines will brace themselves for the arrival of one of the worst storms to hit this year called Yolanda (known by its international name Haiyan). This mega-typhoon may hit the Leyte-Samar area by Friday afternoon.

Partnership between Renault Nissan Alliance and Mitsubishi Motors deepens

Looks like the partnership between the Renault Nissan Alliance and Mitsubishi Motors will keep on going because reports say that with the ongoing joint cooperation, Mitsubishi plans to rebadge two new models based on Renault platforms. First, there's going to be a new global Mitsubishi C-segment sedan based from a Renault car and then a D-Segment Mitsubishi sedan made for the North American market and based on a Renault model. What could this be? More to come later on...

With the success of the Mitsubishi ek Wagon and Nissan Dayz as well as prepping up for next year's eK Space and Nissan Dayz Roox, they also plan to co-develop a new small car including an EV version which can be sold worldwide.

Hennessey Performance tweaks C7 Corvette to have 600hp

To be fair, me and the brand new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray don't usually get along very well ever since Sony and Polyphony Digital have exclusive rights for this car as well as being the cover car for the upcoming Gran Turismo 6 video game on the PS3. Question: WHY CAN'T WE BE FRIENDS? Answer: Because it's a Gran Turismo-only car and I don't want video games, especially Forza Motorsport 5, to feature the latest itineration. Like I always warned over the months; the C7 Corvette remains a Gran Turismo-only car.

Now, Hennessey Performance, a Texas-based tuner and creator of the speed-breaking Venom GT which caused too much hype on the motoring community, gets their hands down and dirty to bring the C7 Corvette the boost it desires and the V8 that powers it now churns over 600HP of power courtesy of tuning parts and packages that costs $10,950.

Dear Top Gear UK,

My name is Leopaul del Rosario and I have been a huge Top Gear fan since I first watch your show. I became addicted to the show because this is the first time a show about cars and carnage really suits my personality very well. I just have one proposal for the chaps (namely Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May) and this is an urgent one that needs to be enclosed; PLEASE DESTROY THE C7 CORVETTE!

The reason why I really do hate this brand new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is simple, it's not because the design looks revolting as well as its performance, it's the car that caused me painful backstories. You all heard the news that Top Gear is no longer included in the upcoming PS3 game, Gran Turismo 6, and since because Microsoft has exclusivity for Top Gear content to be shown at the upcoming XBOX One launch game, Forza Motorsport 5, I am willing to buy myself both the XBOX ONE and FM5 because of Top Gear. I've been dealing with a lot of morons saying "no, Forza 5 should not feature the C7 Corvette because it's a Gran Turismo-exclusive car" but those men or should I say speedo boys don't care what I just said. They think that the C7 Corvette should be featured in the upcoming FM5 but I kept warning about the possible onslaught because if FM5 once featured the brand new 2014 Corvette Stingray, not only I'll consider this a "theft" but also "unfair competition" because they stole the car that was exclusive to Gran Turismo.

Since Top Gear is no longer included in GT6 because of the exclusivity from Forza 5, it's time this game deserve a payback. GT6 has no Top Gear, Forza 5 should not feature the C7 Corvette. That's all. Just saying.

And that's why I want you boys to turn the brand new C7 Corvette into endangered species, the same thing what you did to caravans in the past to present. I don't care about you boys test driving it but what I want you boys is treat it the same thing you guys did on caravans. Exploding those C7 Corvettes also work because I want the whole world to be free of those monstrosity that caused me irrational fears. As a matter of fact, The Stig really hates this car because if that tamed racing driver encounter one of those, he wants to blow this car up to the air. It's no wonder this "Gran Tursmo-exclusive" machine likes blowing raspberries in the face of Top Gear.

Do me a favor Top Gear UK, please get rid of the C7 Corvette and tell Forza Motorsport 5 that they should better not feature that Vette because like I always said, the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is, as always, exclusive to the world of Gran Turismo.
