Pagani Zonda Revolucion revolved

Pagani Zonda Revolucion

This time, they mean it. This is the LAST Pagani Zonda they'll ever make and it's essentially based on the track-weapon Zonda R special machine. It's called the Zonda Revolucion and the epic finale to the Pagani Zonda was revealed during Vanishing Point 2013, serving as the ultimate level of the Zonda R program.

The 6.0L V12 that powers it now churns out 800HP of power and 730Nm of torque. It now weighs 1070kg thanks to extensive use of carbotanium monocoque and the power to weight ratio is now 748hp per tonne, that's more than the Bugatti Veyron.

The track-only finale (they mean it) will be sold in limited numbers at 2.2 million Euros but if you playboys live in the UK, that's going to be a billion pounds because Britain has noise limits and when it breaches, you need your own track.

Forza Horizon: Pagani Zonda Cinque Reward

A hot day with the Cinque

This is the third out of the five Season Pass bonus cars on Forza Horizon and for the month of January, those who got a Forza Horizon Season Pass got to try out the carbotanium-licious Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster at the streets of Colorado.

Zonda has been one of my favorite supercar of the last decade and even though it was replaced by its successor, the unpronounceable H-U-A-Y-R-A, Zondas has a wide reputation of being the car that maybe more expensive to own but more fun to drive that Lamborghinis and Ferraris. The Cinque though, it has been the best Zonda ever built and it was a great send-off for the Zonda name...or is it?

The Super Ballers in FM4

The Lamborghini Sesto Elemento, the Mazda Furai, and the Pagani Zonda R; those three are really what you called SUPER BALLERS (as coined from Car Town) because even though you can't use them for motorsport purposes, they really are fast. So what are those SUPER BALLERS?

1) Lamborghini Sesto Elemento

The Super Ballers

Sesto Elemento, which means 6th element in Italian, is the name of the Lamborghini that was derived from the periodic table of elements because carbon is classified as the sixth element. True to its name, the Sesto Elemento demonstrates the worldwide leading expertise of Lamborghini in carbon-fiber reinforced plastics (CFRP) technology. The super sports car brand from Sant'Agata Bolognese is the only vehicle manufacturer in the world to have mastered the complete CFRP process across a range of technologies, from 3D design through simulation, validation, production and testing - all in a state-of-the-art industrial process that stands for the very highest quality standards.

The V10 engine that powers it generates 570HP of power, promises a power to weight ratio of 1.75 kilograms per hp and 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) acceleration of only 2.5 seconds.

Lamborghini plans to produce up to 20 Sesto Elemento models in 2011 but "...It will never be road legal", just like its stablemate, the Pagani Zonda R. Also, it is not made for motorsports purposes.

2) Mazda Furai Concept

The Super Ballers in Laguna Seca

Over the years, Mazda has a long reputation of making sensible small cars and the worst television commercials. At the 2008 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, this concept race car is something that Mazda wants to give it a name that packs aggression and anger but the name game has been handed to someone from Birmingham so the name was the FURAI (風籟). The chassis is from an American Le Mans racer and the body design is made by someone with a Batman fixation. It was powered by a 1.9L rotary engine that generates 460HP of power, fuel economy of 2.6MPG, and annoyingly broken as told by Jeremy Clarkson after the news segment of Season 11 finale of Top Gear.

3) Pagani Zonda R

The Super Ballers in Top Gear Test Track

Pagani's Zonda R is the track-only finale of the venerable Pagani Zonda hypercar. Some say that this is a test-bed of the next Pagani, which is the Huayra for sure. The Zonda R is powered by a 6.0 L AMG V12 engine found in the Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR, which produces 740HP of power, 523ft-lb of torque, top speed of 350km/h, 0-100km/h in 2.7 seconds, and it achieved a Nurburgring Nordschelife in 6:47.50, faster than the Ferrari 599XX. This is the first ever Zonda to be equipped with a 6-speed sequential transmission.

This car was featured on Jeremy Clarkson's DVD, The Italian Job, as he drives the Zonda R round the Imola Circuit. Then, it was featured in an Series 16 episode of Top Gear and when the Stig is behind the wheel, it set a lap time of 1:08.5 but subsequently removed from board because it is not a road-legal car.

So, you can't race those three, and you can't use it to go to the shops. Really then, they're just pure speed machines, those million dollar toys you love to play with them. The Furai is packed with aggression and anger that flows around its Nagare design but the howl of the rotary engine isn't as perfect as the 787B race car. The Sesto Elemento seems to be more of a racer wrapped up with carbon fiber body but it looks a bit more of a monster. When you look at the back of the Sesto Elemento, you might thinking that there is an internal organ planted outside. Creepy, isn't it? As for the Zonda R, well it is just right. Some people say that all Zondas can be terrifying to drive but they're not. They're easy. Because the Zonda R weighs less and grippy slick tires, this is the easiest of the Zondas. It doesn't really matter if you're not concentrating because it weighs less and because of the big ceramic brakes, it will stop from 125mph to none in 4.3 seconds. The only way to stop even faster is to hit the tree but forget about that. What matters is that the sound of the engine from the Zonda R is my favorite. When you start the engine, it sounds a bit more brutal and it gets even more brutal every time when your driving around race tracks. Sadly, even though it costs a million pounds, you might be even charge more due to race tracks' noise limits; think about... 6 BILLION GBP! BILLION!

Despite that, the Zonda R is my favorite super baller because this Zonda R is all about being brutal but sadly this track-only version served as the grand finale of the Zonda. However, the Zonda's lifespan got extended because of the special editions like the Zonda Cinque and the Zonda Tricolore. Whatever, at least the Zonda is dead now and the new Pagani Huayra took place.

The Pagani Zonda Cinque is all about PASSION

If you remember the Top Gear DVD that was launched in late 2009, titled Richard Hammond's Top Gear Uncovered, you should realize that the Pagani Zonda Cinque is part of the final lesson of what it takes to be a Top Gear presenter, and that is TOP GEAR PASSION. Forza Motorsport 4 is all about "passion" for cars and this 2009 Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster is the perfect example of "passion" for cars.

The Zonda Cinque fuels your passion for automobiles.

I thought the Pagani Zonda Cinque was meant to be the final explosive farewell of Richard Hammond's absolute favorite supercar but in truth, the real ending was the Zonda Tricolore. Whatever, anyway the Pagani Zonda Cinque carries a seven-figure price tag, costing a million dollars. Yep, that's too much for a toy but as the name implies, only five units will be made. Under the hood is the Mercedes-AMG derived 7.3L V12 engine that produces 678HP of power and 575lb-ft of torque. This is somewhat a softened road-legal version of the track-only Pagani Zonda R. I didn't realize that the Zonda Cinque's bodywork is made of a new composite material called Carbotanium. If you don't know about Carbotanium, Google search for that.

The Pagani Zonda Cinque's interior

The 2009 Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster is part of Forza Motorsport 4's Autovista feature where you can explore more about this car, and you can even hear Jeremy Clarkson's comments about the Zonda Cnique. It's true that a Modena-based car manufacturer like Pagani always get it right, very very right.

"Ferrari, Lamborghini, you lost that crown. It's the Zonda's now." - Richard Hammond, Top Gear

Testing out the Cinque at the
Top Gear Test Track

This Pagani Zonda Cinque is the ultimate lesson in car passion and we are fueled after hours of listening to Richard Hammond's lecture on what it takes to be a Top Gear presenter. So if you don't mind before man comes and takes this car, I'll better get out of there, listening to Chihaya Kisaragi's character song...

Zonda R - The ultimate Zonda ever made...

Song played on my Personal BGM: Zombie by The Cranberries
From the album: No Need to Argue
The Phantom of the Shutokou

This is known to be the ultimate Zonda ever built for circuit racing purposes only. It was the kind of Zonda that can accumulate at top speed of 350km/h, 0-100km/h in 2.7 seconds, and it achieved a Nurburgring Nordschelife in 6:47.50, making it the fastest of the non-series/road-legal vehicles attempted. This is the Pagani Zonda R, the ultimate Pagani Zonda ever built.

The Zonda R rattles the expressway

When I first laid my eyes on the Pagani Zonda R, it was like that it was the most wonderful machine I have ever encountered. Upon hearing the engine start, this was a complete madman. I definitely want to hear the engine start of the Zonda R again and again until I pass out. Anyway, the Zonda R is a carbon-fiber bodied car that weighs to an impressive 1070kg, a reputation that this should have been gained the title of "SUPERLEGGERA" of non-series/road-legal vehicles but forget about it. The Zonda R is powered by a 6.0 L AMG V12 engine found in the Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR, which produces 740HP of power, 523ft-lb of torque, top speed of 350km/h, 0-100km/h in 2.7 seconds, and it achieved a Nurburgring Nordschelife in 6:47.50. We sure know that watching some car magazine shows like Top Gear and Fifth Gear really payed off about the ferocious power of the Zonda R.

Here in Gran Turismo 5, you are seeking it as an enemy but once you have the Zonda R in your hands, you seek to this car as an ally. For that, you can upgrade the Zonda R's 6.0L AMG V12 engine to a maximum power of 815HP just by buying the High RPM Range Turbo Kit. It's up to you to decide which Suspension setting fits best on the Zonda R. The right suspension setting leads to greater cornering and greater lap times.

Attempting for the Nurburgring official record

Whoever owns the Zonda R on GT5 are often willing to show off their manly lap record that is on par against the Zonda R official record at the Nurburgring but this is just for fun. When the Zonda R's traction control is off, this one's extremely hard to control, even the launch is simply hard to handle. It takes practice and once you have the edge, you'll learn how to take advantage of the Zonda R's true self without the driving aids.

The Pagani Zonda R's Japan arrival

Patience is a virtue for those who have the keys to the Zonda R but if they want to take a break after rigorous battles, they can bring it outside for Photo Travel since the Zonda R is a Premium Tier car that costs 2,600,000 Credits and requires an A-Spec/B-Spec level of 23. This race car is all about respect. Once you're pushing to the limit, you'll never resist the temptation of speed. You should be happy about the way the Pagani Zonda R behaves but this car has limitations. Players online should know that once they looked at your Zonda R, they'll have some choices to make. Will they welcome you or not? That is the question only your mind can answer.
