Doctor Who 2021 New Year special

The year 2021 kicked off with the most desperate Doctor Who adventure yet with the special titled "Revolution of the Daleks", where Graham, Ryan, and Yaz are preparing for the worst as The Doctor is imprisoned.

HOLD IT! Ensure that you have already watched the episode before coming back here for my quick review. Come back here when you have already watched it.

Doctor Who 2021 New Year special

The Recon Dalek that was destroyed in New Year's Day 2019 got repurposed as the blueprint for mogul Jack Robertson's creations which led to the rise of the new Dalek Army.

Graham, Ryan, and Yaz are struggling to uncover the newest conspiracy while The Doctor, locked in an intergalactic prison, gets reunited with Captain Jack Harkness and the two escaped prison, reuniting with her friends to uncover the conspiracy, which led them to Robertson's HQ where he showcased his new Dalek creations and then in Osaka where his scientist Leo got possessed by the Recon Dalek and led him to the clone farm.

With the conspiracy uncovered, The New Dalek Army unleashed hell in Britain. They've even killed the Prime Minister. As the doomsday scenario unleashed, The Doctor made a suicidal plan which involves summoning the Dalek armies to kill the "impurities" and blow the Dalek ship off.

Sadly, Robertson's decoy plot caused the Daleks had The Doctor on their crosshairs. As the boys trying to escape the ship from the Dalek pursuers and blowing the ship out in the sky, The Doctor lures all of the Daleks to the TARDIS, which ended them up to a spare and The Doctor sent the spare TARDIS into the void, eliminating all Daleks inside.

The day after saving the world from the Dalek onslaught, The Doctor and friends are prepared for another adventure but Ryan and Graham...chose not to be with her for good. Guess they've learned a valuable lesson about traveling with her.

The special ends with Ryan and Graham moving on. He even got a Psychic Paper from her as a farewell present.

This episode really is intense from start to finish. Seeing The Doctor teaming up with Captain Jack Harkness and her friends again really is the beginning and all the action against the Daleks really is the turning point of the episode.

It's sad to know that Revolution of the Daleks marked as the end of the road for Graham O'Brien and Ryan Sinclair but I'm glad their time with The Doctor ended in a meaningful and happy way.

The Doctor and Yaz will return this year with a new face joining them. Yes, John Bishop's joining the Team TARDIS as Dan. What's his purpose? You'll find out soon as The Doctor returns this year.
