2020 NASCAR Cup Series - FireKeepers Casino 400

Michigan International Speedway is having a double-header starting with the FireKeepers Casino 400 race. Under such bizarre rule, whoever wins in this race gets to race last in the next race at the same place. Whatever the rule is, the first part of the Michigan double-header is worth building up the tension in the midst of the "new normal" summer heat.

As the green flag waved on track, the first of the Michigan double-header kicked off and the #19 car faces early trouble because of the flat front right tire. As Kevin Harvick won Stage 1, Stage 2 saw another win for Harvick, and as the climax draws near, troubles abound with the #38 car got spun, a sliding crash from Ryan Preece, Cole Custer's collision course with the wall, and a crash with the #3 and the #6 to name a few. Overtimes aplenty.

Kevin Harvick wins the FireKeepers Casino 400 race of the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series and with that, he gets to race last at the start of second part.

The race continues here in Michigan for the Consumers Energy 400 on Sunday, the 9th of August.
