Guinness Six Nations 2022 ROUND 1

The whole world got their eyes glued on the Beijing Winter Olympics but for rugby fans, they have something else in mind; witnessing the opener of the 2022 Guinness Six Nations championship. The season opener features IRFU vs. WRU, Scotland vs. England Rugby, and France Rugby vs. F.I.R.

In the match between the IRFU and the WRU, Andrew Conway's impressive performance gave Ireland their first win of the season against the WRU at the score of 29-7. Meanwhile, Scotland's Calcutta Cup defense is a success after defeating the England Rugby at the score of 20-17. And In the match between the France Rugby and the F.I.R. Italia, Gabin Villiere's hat-trick gave France their first win of the season after defeating the F.I.R. at the score of 37-10.

The second round of the 2022 Guinness Six Nations championship will be on the 12th of February with WRU taking on Scotland, France Rugby v IRFU, and on the day after, it's the F.I.R. vs. England Rugby.

Cross-country Skiing, Freestyle Skiing, Luge, Ski Jumping, Snowboard, and Speed Skating are the main focus of the second day of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.

The Men's 15km + 15km Skiathlon saw a 1-2 finish for the ROC with Bolshunov the winner and Spitsov the silver medalist. The Women's Moguls Final 3, meanwhile, saw Australian Jakara Anthony defeat USA's Jaelin Kauf and the ROC's Anastassia Smirnova to win the gold medal, Japan's Ryoyu Kobayashi for the Men's Normal Hill Individual Final Round, Zoi Synnott Sadowski of New Zealand for the Women's Snowboard Slopestyle Final, and Sweden's Nils van der Poel for the Men's 5000m.

The first wave of medal matches of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics has arrived with Biathlon, Cross-Country Skiing, Freestyle Skiing, Short Track Speed Skating, Ski Jumping, and Speed Skating the main focus of the day.

In the Mixed Relay 4x6km, Norway beats France and the ROC to win the gold medal. The Women's 7,5km + 7.5km Skiathlon, meanwhile, saw Therese Johaug of Norway beat Russian Natalia Nepryaeva and Austrian Teresa Stadlober to win gold, Men's Moguls Final 3 saw Walter Wallberg of Sweden win Gold, China for the Mixed Team Relay - Final A, Slovenian Ursa Bogataj for the Women's Normal Hill Individual Final, and Irene Schouten of the Netherlands for the Women's 3000m.

- China joins Russia in opposing NATO expansion. The two superpowers issued a statement showcasing their agreement on a raft of issues during a visit by Russia's Vladimir Putin for the Beijing 2022 Olympics.

- Former US Vice President Mike Pence issues his strongest rebuttal of former president Donald Trump's claim over the 2020 presidential election results, saying his former boss was wrong to seek to stop Joe Biden's win.

- Iceland signals end to whaling within two years.

- Joe Rogan, the host of a controversial podcast show, issued an apology over his past use of racist language on his show. Several artists have left Spotify in protest at what they allege is Rogan's role in spreading COVID misinformation.

- GMA Network announced that Willie Revillame's contract with the network will expire on the 15th and his show Wowowin will air its last episode on the 11th.
