Knicks ends historic NBA title drought by beating Spurs in Finals

The New York Knicks’ journey to the NBA Finals wasn’t comfortable. Competing against the San Antonio Spurs in the best-of-7 showdown, the Knicks showcased their almost-flawless prowess right to this moment of truth.


In Game 5 of the NBA Finals at the Spurs’ home turf, as the Knicks were on the brink of ending their historic title drought, the team went all-out to beat the Spurs in their home turf.

With a narrow final score of 94-90, the New York Knicks ended their 53-year title drought and became the NBA 2025-26 season champions. Jalen Brunson was named MVP for scoring 45 points in the game.
