For the first time in Extreme E history, the Island X Prix event held in Sardegna, Italy, became a two-parter event where teams are using all means necessary to survive through the rough island conditions and go for the goal.

In the controversial first race that saw RXR's win crumble following a penalty slapped to them after crashing the ACCIONA SAINZ team, the GMC Hummer EV Chip Ganassi Racing scored their first Extreme E win. In the final race, meanwhile, it's payback time for RXR as they blitz through X44 and Andretti to cross the finish line.
The next event will be the Copper X Prix at Antofagasta, Chile, on September 24-25, 2022.
