The first of the six-episode Flux arc kicked off with The Doctor and Yaz racing against time following their perilous escape while a certain villain made his terrifying return.
As terrifying forces lurked around the universe on Halloween, the duo infiltrated a Lupari ship to deal with Karvanista and save a man named Dan Lewis, who was held captive by the said Lupari warrior.
After dealing with the Lupari Karvanista for some answers, The Doctor deals with a cataclysmic event known as The Flux. With Dan escaping, the gang escaped from the Lupari's wrath and into the TARDIS, which suffers from a door-switching anomaly, and the race against The Flux begins.
With the Swarm's presence felt and every planet in the universe devoured by The Flux, The Doctor has no choice but to flee towards Earth while summoning the help of the Lupari Battalion to barricade the entire Earth from The Flux. The blockade plan worked but The Flux is catching up. The real battle begins.
So, this is what the end of the universe looks like for us. With The Doctor and friends dealing with a cataclysmic event, the suspense never felt so intense and the stakes couldn't get riskier than ever.
With some of the franchises' biggest threats gathered around to raise hell on Earth, the universe rather, it really is the ultimate challenge The Doctor and friends are worth risking. While Dan's new role in The Doctor's adventure remains to be felt, this new arc is going to be an edge-of-the-seat thriller that blows fans hard, whatever it takes.
Anyway, it's great to see Doctor Who return with the biggest adventure ever witnessed. Doomsday is here with The Flux and The Doctor's uphill fight to save the universe begins.
