DTM 2019 FINALE

Throughout the course of the season, we are introduced to an era of 2.0L turbocharged engines that powered most of the DTM competitors and apart from the new powertrains, Aston Martin joins the fray, only to be met with disastrous results for the drivers during the British carmaker's maiden voyage in the DTM. With Aston's disastrous beginnings comes Audi's comeback for the title as Rene Rast came, saw, and conquered almost every single DTM race of the season.

Now, the finale at Hockenheimring is worth remembering for the fans because in anticipation of the upcoming DTM x Super GT Dream Race at Fuji this November, several Super GT machines and drivers are joining the pack in the finale where Rast will make a mark as this season's winner.

In the first half of the season finale, Rast sealed his championship title after winning the race against the likes of Marco Wittmann and Mike Rockenfeller. In the final race of the season, meanwhile, Nico Mueller charges his way towards victory lane by fending off against Rockenfeller and Rast.

Congratulations, Rene Rast, for being the seven-time DTM champion!

And that concludes the DTM 2019 season. Expect next season to be even bigger than ever with the inclusion of Monza and then some.

See you next season!
