2019 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship - Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix

The streets of Detroit, Michigan, came alive with the sound of roaring engines as two of the most epic races of the summer, one is for 2019 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and the two-parter for the NTT IndyCar Series. These races will surely bring lots of roar at the heart of Motor City and the winners get splashed at the fountain just to show who rules Motor City.

Focusing on the IMSA side via the 2019 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, looks like General Motors' reign in Detroit is well and truly over as the #6 Acura Team Penske ARX-05 DPi driven by Juan Pablo Montoya and Dane Cameron scored Acura's first win in Detroit since 2008. Meanwhile in the GTD class, the #14 AIM Vasser Sullivan Lexus RC F GT3 driven by Jack Hawksworth and Richard Heistand managed to leave a hole shaped like their GTD-winning car on the audiences' hearts by nicking their second consecutive class victory in the 2019 season.

Next event is the Sahlen's Six Hours of the Glen at Watkins Glen, New York, on the 27th to the 30th of June, 2019.
