- Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte has ordered a more intensified campaign for the complete immunization of children following the declaration of measles outbreak in Metro Manila.

- DILG Secretary Eduardo M. Ano announced the Jolo Cathedral bombing incident in Sulu, which claimed 23 lives and injured over 100 persons, is now considered solved with the surrender of the five main suspects to government authorities.

- The Department of Health declared a measles outbreak in other regions of Luzon, Central, and Eastern Visayas.

- Displaced workers of Korean shipbuilder, Hanjin Heavy Industries, will be prioritized during the job fair in Subic Bay this Saturday, according to the Department of Labor and Employment. Hanjin earlier filed for bankruptcy with the remaining 3,800 workers already set to end their contracts on February 15.

- ICYMI: Toei announced the cast of the upcoming Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger, airing this March 17 on TV Asahi. The newest installment of the Super Sentai Series stars Hayate Ichinose, Keito Tsuna, Ichika Osaki, Yuito Obara, and Tatsuya Kishida, with the participation of Mitsuru Fukikoshi as Naohisa Tatsui.

- A body has been recovered from the wreckage of the plane that was carrying Argentina-born professional soccer player Emiliano Sala and pilot David Ibbotson, according to the Air Accidents Investigation Branch.
