After years of sending us through near-future warfare, the Call of Duty franchise is back to where it all started in Call of Duty WWII. Bringing the franchise back to its roots, this newest installment will make players, new and returning, experience the Second World War in a whole new point of view while revisiting the most brutal and unforgiving moments in history.

There are different ways to play CoD WWII and before you get ready to take on the others, you need to be familiarize with this game first with the solo-player campaign. In Campaign mode, you will live the tale of a new recruit for the US First Infantry Division who experiences combat for the first time during D-Day in Normandy and after that, you and your men must survive your way through Nazi Germany.

If you are true with the Campaign mode, you can tell your friends to have some war reenactment at the comfort of your home through online multiplayer. In here, you can experience the new War Mode where you will team up with other players to defeat numerous enemies in iconic WWII battles as either the Allied or the Axis forces. As you enjoy playing multiplayer matches, you can gain experience and level up to gain new skills, powerful weapons, and scorestreaks, which serves as the trump card to change the tide of the battle.

As you may wondering, will the fan-favorite Zombies make it on this new CoD game? The answer is a very big yes as CoD WWII introduces Nazi Zombies mode where you will team up with other players and defend yourselves against a wave of Nazi Zombies, which is pretty much like all the other Call of Duty Zombies games in past installments. Trust them, this is more fun than any other gameplay this game offered.

Of course, if you want some more of this game, you can buy the Season Pass which will give you access to four upcoming DLC packs coming within a few months as well as the new Carentan bonus map on multiplayer.  As always, PS4 players will be the first to get the new DLC packs when announced.

It's great to have the Call of Duty games back to where it all started with this new installment that pits players back to the Second World War in a whole new perspective while revisiting the turning points of WWII from France to Nazi Germany. The Solo Player Campaign is intense from start to finish but the multiplayer gameplay is one of the many reasons why we love the games as so is the Zombies. It really is a tour de force for the franchise that should not be underestimated by how it looks, well it looks great in stunning 4K HDR, but how it feels as a game and for new and returning fans, this game is one of the many reasons why Call of Duty is one of the all time greats in video game history.
