- Over 2.3 million have been registered for the 2026 Barangay and SK Elections, according to the COMELEC.

- The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has declared that tomorrow, February 25, will be an "ordinary working day" and that "no work, no pay" will be implemented for employees during the EDSA People Power anniversary.

- Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ordered the immediate decentralisation of farm input distribution so that seeds, fertilisers, and pesticides will no longer be delayed for farmers. In the President's dialogue with irrigators, farmers directly complained about the slow arrival of their agricultural needs. 

- The Philippines' chairmanship of ASEAN 2026 officially began today. It was opened by the ASEAN Editors and Economic Opinion Leaders Forum held in Makati City, attended by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., along with senior policymakers, global investors, and media leaders. The forum aims to deepen regional integration, accelerate investment flows, and prepare Southeast Asia for the challenges of the future.

- Immigration Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado has publicly presented a Chinese national who was arrested in Batangas province for posing as a Filipino. The foreigner was identified as Zhi Ling Guan, 47, using the aliases Shi Nengyuan and Mike Sy, who was found in possession of fake documents such as a Philippine passport.

- Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese tells UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer his government would agree to any plan to remove Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor from the line of succession.
