- Philippine Vice President Sara Duterte said that former President Rodrigo Duterte's legal team handling his case at the International Criminal Court (ICC) will not be replaced. Despite this, VP Duterte said that the former president has given instructions for their next steps. It can be recalled that Duterte's confirmation of charge hearing at the ICC is set for February 23.

- The PH Department of Transportation (DOTr) has released a list of shipping lines approved to cover routes previously serviced by Aleson Shipping Lines after its operations were suspended in the wake of the sinking of MV Trisha Kerstin 3 in Basilan. The lines include Montenegro Shipping, SRN Fast Seacraft, Ever Lines, Ibnerizam Shipping, Archipelago Philippine Ferries, Cokaliong Shipping, Lite Shipping, Seem Sam Shipping, Ocean Fast Ferries, and HS Star Marine. Routes with special permits include Zamboanga City to Isabela City, Siasi, Jolo, Bongao, as well as Dumaguete City to Pulauan, Siquijor, and Larena.

- The Philippine National Police (PNP) is ready to maintain peace and order during the upcoming motorcade caravan of several groups along EDSA on Jan. 31, 2026.
