- Two drivers involved in the Marikina road rage were summoned by the LTO on January 7, 2026.

- Radio Mindanao Network launched its unified network channel. The RMN Channel is a web-based interactive media launcher platform full of broadcast programs, digital streaming, and marketing services of RMN.

- Five cabinet secretaries who are said to have "allocables" worth billions of pesos under the 2025 national budget may be summoned for investigation by the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee. Senate President pro-tempore Ping Lacson confirmed this based on documents he obtained from the late former DPWH Usec. Maria Catalina Cabral. Lacson identified high-ranking officials with allocables as former DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan, who is said to have received ₱30.5 billion, and an "E.S." who initially received ₱8.3 billion.
